Hi. The question really is that direct. I'm translating a novel (Yang Shu Mei Ying), and I just found out the group that had been translating the novel before just deleted all the chapters they had (4-18). The question is, should I re-translate those chapters? I'm going to be really direct here: My concern is should readers go for MTL, they will continue to read the MTL without ever stopping at my site, thereby kind of booting my work in the process. So? Will me rushing to translate have any benefit or should I just let be?
New readers will be very thankful for uninterrupted reading experience. It's kinda breaks reading immersion if you need to find another source for translation.
Thank you. I think I will re-translate. A valid point. That would be troublesome. That sounds like an ambitious plan. For now, my concern is around the missing chapters so I will focus on those first. But, on a sly note, sounds like something I wouldn't mind going for. Thank you.
Hi. Chapters 4-18 will be retranslated and post at my website. I'm not sure if I'll be flagged for this but I'm the current translator of the novel. I'll likely take two weeks to have all of them up. Thank you for your understanding. on the translator's site
is there a reason as why you don't search for the missing chapters? if you know the Webaddress to the chapter you could try the wayback machine http://web.archive.org/ or check if anather site copied the translated chapters.
Because they can't be linked here and he can't post them as they're not his translation and any other site that copied it would be an aggregator. p.s. spelling priest as preist in your promo doesn't look very good @nonononononono
That sounds like an ambitious plan. For now Yeah, that was me. First, love that spoiler. Second, true. Any risk of being flagged for plagiarism is any I'm willing to avoid. People can be vicious.
