What is the man with whom Fatima later marries? Does it happen to be Martin Kali one of Kuhn’s men? In chapter 93 in the Manhua Fatima and Martin were taking a walk through the market together and they seem to be smiling at each other. It seems to imply that there might be some positive vibes between the two of them? I’m glad that there is no villainess rival trying to steal Kuhn away from Sienna like we see in other Korean Manhua. I’m glad that Sienna and Fatima become great allies. Does Fatima become Queen of the desert tribes later on?

So Martin Kali and Uss Kali are twins and both work for Kuhn. They're a little confusing to tell apart in the manhwa. Martin is the one with the gold button aka knight (pink hair), and Uss (brown hair) does Kaligo/Raad clan related work under Kuhn's orders (like guarding Sienna privately).

The one Fatima met in the market in 93 was Uss. Uss is described as a person who has a good sense of judgement, but he's a little more dense and simple than Martin. He initially believed Kuhn and Fatima were well suited because of their backgrounds working in the desert. He did not understand why Kuhn was complicating his life with Sienna; that is, until he guarded and got to know Sienna (refer to chapter 42ish? of manhwa). After that, he understood a little more why Kuhn treasured her. In 93, he says although he believed Kuhn and Fatima were a good match, there's a difference now that Kuhn has integrated into nobility.

There is no relationship between Fatima and either of the twins. Kuhn's interests are their interests; they exist to serve him pretty much. Even though Uss used to think Fatima suited Kuhn, he still did not provide her access to Kuhn when she showed up at the Raad mansion again (because it would inconvenience Kuhn), and the only reason why he is concerned for her safety is because if she's harmed, Kuhn will get into trouble. She's the princess of the current ruling tribe in the desert after all. They all have a good civil relationship. Nothing romantic. Uss actually comes to admire Sienna and becomes quite loyal to her later.

The desert has several tribes fighting to rule, and currently they're called the Allied Faroes/States. Fatima marries someone from the Hotu tribe named Jahoman. (She's from the Tuisa tribe, fyi). Jahoman is the younger brother of a guy named Hisillo. Jahoman is "weak" and quiet; he also prefers reading to being a warrior. He acts this way on purpose so that he can live and not have to exert more power than he needs to. (pretty smart)

Hisillo, on the other hand, is a cocky jerk; he killed all his brothers except for Jahoman who he thought was weak and therefore not a threat. His personality is awful. Hisillo also used Sienna and her knights as bait and left them to die in the desert when they first arrived. (I can spoil more on this later if you guys want). Hisillo has a habit of taking his younger brother's identity and doing terrible things under his name as well. Jahoman wears a mask out because he was sick often, and Hisillo takes advantage of this because they have similar builds and similar faces, but they are not twins.

Anyway, Kuhn, livid at Hisillo for his actions, gives Jahoman the opportunity to clear his name and become leader of the Hotu tribe. Jahoman accepts, and they trap/trick Hisillo into giving away his true identity, his crimes, and everything else in front of the Allied Tribes and Sienna. Jahoman becomes leader of his tribe, and Fatima ends up marrying him. They do rule the desert together but not much else is said. I will add more if there is more info on my reread.

Thank you for clarifying a few things for me. I didn’t know the particulars as to who Fatima’s husband was going to be until you told me, so thanks for that. How far are we in the story (Manhua) before meeting the desert tribes, how many chapters do you think will there be in the before we get to this part of the story in which Kuhn and Sienna meet the desert tribes? I’m interested to see what the twins Hisillo and Jahoman will look like. Why is Fatima’s ambition treated like it’s a bad thing, what’s wrong with her having ambitions of her own? I sincerely hope that Fatima and Jahoman will get along well, and be happy together.

I think Silver King, Iron King and Sky king are all great. Together they overthrew a ducal family that had caused harm to 2 generations of kings forcing the king's to be puppets

We still have a very long time until the desert tribe conflict. The conflict starts in book 6, and I believe the manhwa is only at the end of book 3/beginning of book 4. If every book is about 30 chapters, then maybe 60 chapters until we reach book 6? I think a lot of the hate towards Fatima stems from the fact that Kuhn had a relationship with her in the previous timeline but most of us are rooting for Sienna; Fatima's ambition is admirable though, I agree, and she is/was doing her best to survive in a very harsh environment. She's also beautiful, so considering her traits, it was natural that she had a relationship with Kuhn especially since Kuhn and Sienna were essentially enemies in the first timeline. Kuhn is a very powerful figure in the desert as well, so of course, she will try to align with him again in the second timeline. She and Jahoman do seem to have a good relationship though, and she seems happy.

Just random, but here are more spoilers on the desert conflict (also MTL, so forgive me if there are a few inaccuracies):
At the end of book 5, Kuhn leaves to the desert to resolve the conflicts/tensions between the tribes; this trip is supposed to be several months long. There are three tribes: Tuisa (Fatima), Hotu (Hisillo/Jahoman), and Rama. The Tuisa are currently ruling. Hotu are renowned warriors, and Rama are more scholarly. There are tension between who should rule; the current king is old, and the other tribes want a shot at the throne, and the tribes start doing shady things to overthrow one another.

To resolve the conflict, the tribes ask the empire to bring a representative to make a decision. The representative will bestow a branch of the god tree to the tribe who will ultimately rule. The only candidates that can go are obviously Sienna or Dian. Dian is chosen to go. Sienna's mom is thrilled, and she sets a trap for Dian in the desert. Well, Sienna is concerned because Dian's wife is pregnant, and she knows from her future dreams that her mom will try to kill Dian's baby and harm Violet, so she begs the emperor to let her go in his place. They switch last minute; Dian protests, btw, but Sienna insists because he can stay by his wife's side constantly while she can only come and go, so he agrees, but he's not happy about it.

Sienna goes to the desert. Her mother does not find out until it's too late. She attempts to cancel the assassination attempt, but it's nearly impossible at this point. Patricia (Sienna's mother),utilizes the services of a really nasty desert group called a Red Hood. They have no rules and will do anything for the right price. So even if she wanted to cancel, they might not listen and kill Sienna anyway.

When Sienna arrives, her party is forced to wait for several hours for the desert troop that is supposed to escort them. This is disrespectful, but eventually they show up. Sienna asks where Kuhn is, and the translator, who is from the Rama tribe, replies that they will meet him later. This is the wrong answer, so Sienna immediately knows the troop is lying/not the troop that is supposed to guide them. The correct answer was "there's no such plan" btw, and Kuhn told her to ask this when she arrived. Although she is on alert, she still goes with them to not raise suspicion.

Leading this troop is Hisillo. After trekking in the desert for a while, he proposes they take a break, so they set up camp. He wants to see Sienna's face, but she's wearing a hood. He can tell by her voice that she's beautiful already, and he wants to see her face badly. He tries to get her to take off her hood by saying the leaders should have a face-to-face conversation, but the translator from the Rama tribe spoils this by saying she doesn't need to do it.

Suddenly, where they are camping, the earth shakes and three desert "ears" (I imagine them like giant centipedes or insects), erupt from the ground and attack. The desert ears begin killing people, and the knights gather around Sienna to protect her. Because she is carrying leaves of the god tree, the desert ears don't attack her. Some of her knights tell her to run, but she tells them she will not abandon them and instead tells them to come closer to her so she can protect them with the leaves. Hisillo attempts, again, to peek at Sienna's face, but as the attacks become more violent, he abandons Sienna and her knights with his troops leaving them as bait/to die for the desert ears. Hisillo was working with the Red Hood, fyi. The Red Hood summoned the desert ears.

Kuhn and the other Kaligo come in time to save the day and swiftly kill the desert ears. (Kuhn found out Sienna switched with Dian last minute and came running immediately). Also note that desert ears are extremely hard to kill because of their armor, and only the Kaligo hunt them, so Sienna's party likely would have died if Kuhn didn't arrive. Things sort of calm down. Unfortunately, Sienna's unicorn, Light, spooks and runs off into the desert with Sienna. Kuhn quickly chases after Light and Sienna, and this is the beginning of their 10 days in the desert in a cave being a lovey-dovey domestic couple. The heavy desert rain prevents them from leaving the cave during this time.

Kuhn wants to kill Hisillo for endangering Sienna, and this is where he sets the trap exposing Hisillo's role in killing the original desert troop that was supposed to guide Sienna, leaving her as bait, and how Hisillo was not Jahoman, but borrowing his identity. Hisiillo, because he was the heir to the Hotu tribe, is sentenced to exile, but Kuhn ensures that he is killed for leaving Sienna to die. He also has the Kaligo hunt every single member of the Red Hood and kill them for their part. He doesn't want Sienna to know this side of him, but he is absolutely livid her life was endangered. Yes, they do also discuss her mother's involvement, and Sienna plans to confront her when she returns.

Sienna's mom, in the meantime, is living in agony with the knowledge that her daughter may or may have not been killed by her own trap.

I will add more desert conflict spoilers later. :blobokhand:

One of the reasons I really like this story and the Manhua based on it. The story doesn’t appear to have a villainess woman love rival in it, which seems common in various web novels, manga, and Manhua. Who says a love story needs to have a girl/guy love rival in order to be a great story, is that a written rule or something? I like that Fatima isn’t made out to be a rival or a villain. Fatima just happens to be an a woman doing her best to survive and achieve her goal of uniting the desert tribes. I think that both Sienna and Fatima are similar, their both ambitious, driven, beautiful, and determined women. In this new timeline, I hope that both of them will become friends and remain on good terms with each other after they both become Emperor (Sienna) and Queen (Fatima). I hope that Jahoman is a handsome and decent guy, Fatima deserves a guy like that am I right?

Based on previous spoilers, they do become friends and Fatimah even warns Sienna that her mother tried to bribe her(Fatimah) to come between Kuhn and Sienna. They mutually help each other. I also like Fatimah's personality as its very similar to women in RL

Although at first she gets jealous and sad which is normal coz she has unrequited love but she never acts on her negetive emotions. She gives up on kuhn which is the logical and normal way to go at heart break. There's no jealous bitch Scheming till she ends up dead or ML and FL known as jeniuses but still fall dubly into stupid traps. There's no bad end for side character that loves ML and its refreshing.

The story and motive of the Villainess aka the empress is, simple but very true even more so if you think about her family always being ambitious and was backed by sienna's grandfather back then. It's no wonder the empress turned out over-controlling and greedy for power.

Fatima is a wonderful woman, and I’m guessing that Jahoman will recognize her many good qualities. I really do hope that Fatima and Jahoman will have a great life together, they deserve it as much as Sienna and Kuhn do. I look forward to seeing Fatima smile in front of Jahoman, who I hope will be as handsome as Kuhn is. Kuhn was right when he told Fatima that she would find someone who loves her. Why can’t we have more stories which feature women characters like her, women that act more realisticly? I’m guessing that we will learn more about Sienna’s mother’s backstory, about her ambitious family?

Fatima and Sienna end up being great allies, and they stay in touch. I am also glad the love rival scenario ended the way it did with Fatima. I don't remember the novel describing Jahoman as handsome (doesn't mean that it wasn't said, MTL after all). He is very smart and that is emphasized more. Hisillo and Jahoman have similar looks/builds according to the book. Hisillo is a warrior who is very proud of his looks/skills to the point of arrogance, and he borrowed Jahoman's identity, so my assumption is that Jahoman is pretty formidable in looks too. Fatima also has great taste; she did go for Kuhn after all.

More on what happened in the desert! This is also very long.
After the desert ears attack, Sienna's unicorn, Light, freaks and runs into the desert with her on board. Kuhn quickly grabs a horse and goes after her. Light is supposedly spooked because of the incoming rain, it stops near a cave in an area called Mushroom Rock. This cave is neat. It has a firepit, but a hole where the smoke can escape, but rain water cannot come in. It has weapons for hunting, and leather to sleep on. It begins to rain heavily, and once they get into the cave, Kuhn scolds Sienna for putting her life in danger, but she's so happy to see him (he's been gone for a few months at this point) that she says she loves him.:aww:

Kuhn, obvs so happy he finally heard her say it, starts to kiss her, and they have a steamy moment in the rain. :blobsmirk: The rain does not stop for 10 days, so they spend their time eating, lazing around, and having more steamy moments. Kuhn hunts for red scorpions to feed Sienna. His armor is waterproof, so he can hunt. They shower in the rain because it's heavy. He takes these 10 days to just feed and spoil Sienna. This is also where Sienna gets pregnant because neither of them can drink pleasure tea, and Sienna insisted they be careful, but it still happens. It's also why she craves red scorpion while pregnant.

Btw, they send a hawk messenger to the Kaligo to let Sienna's knights know she's safe. After 10 days, the rain stops, and they make their way to the fortress/capital city where the desert tribes all meet. On their way they encounter a field of flowers. Kuhn gifted Sienna the seeds of this flower before he left. As a desert custom, one proposes to their lover with the seeds of these flowers, and if the lover accepts, they place the seeds into alcohol so that they will bloom. It's a very rare seed/flower and notoriously difficult to obtain. Sienna did not know this until Fatima told her; Fatima also said the custom is not common anymore because the seeds are so rare. "Kuhn must love you a lot to search for them." Sienna proudly tells Kuhn that she put the seeds in alcohol when they encounter this field. She accepts his proposal, in other words.

The fortress is divided so men and women stay apart. It is also several layers deep. Kuhn is not allowed to accompany her because women only; there's an exception for guards, and Uss volunteers. He now greatly respects Sienna because he saw that she would not leave her knights when the desert ears attacked.

Fatima greets Sienna when she arrives and orders the slaves (captives from conquered tribes) to serve Sienna. The people of the desert speak a different language, and Uss teaches her how to say some version of "no." Fatima then leads Sienna to the bath, and after a nap, she dresses Sienna in desert clothing which is light colorful material. She also adorns Sienna with gold bracelets, sandals, and other accessories. Gold is highly valued in the desert. Sienna's eyes are also gold, so the desert people are automatically drawn to her and her beauty.

Meanwhile, the tribes are meeting together at a banquet to greet the representative from the empire. Hisillo has snuck into this event wearing a mask and using Jahoman's identity, by the way. His face was shown when he left Sienna to die in the desert, so he cannot show his face again. The banquet hall is also divided by men and women. Normally, the men sit on the right, and women sit on the left. The representative is normally male, so they will also sit on the right side of he king, but since Sienna is female, they don't know what to do. Kuhn arranges for her to sit to the right of the king with him next to her. This shows that Kuhn is her support, and he can translate for Sienna, and this is acceptable because Kuhn is male. :blobowoevil: (With the female/male lines, you can kind of see why Fatima was feisty and ambitious to further herself.)

Banquet starts and everyone is seated. Sienna enters, and she silences the room because she's so beautiful. Hasillo immediately has wicked thoughts about making her his, and how he should have just taken her when he had the chance. Kuhn greets Sienna, and in front of everyone, affectionately kisses her hand indicating that there's something special between them. The king makes a speech, the banquet begins, and Hisillo attempts to get closer to Sienna. Before he can though, he's stopped and confronted about his identity by Kuhn.

Hisillo tries to say he's Jahoman, but Jahoman arrives and tells everyone that Hisillo is an imposter. There's a back and forth between the two, and finally, Hisillo's mask is removed. In front of everyone, Kuhn reads out Hisillo's crimes: killing the original troop to escort Sienna, working with the red hood, setting a trap, leaving Sienna and her knights to die, and finally impersonating his brother and using his name to commit crimes. The king asks Sienna if it's true what Hisillo did. Sienna confirms.

The Hotu tribe leader protests because Hisillo is the heir. Mentally the leader of the Hotu is also praising Jahoman because he didn't think Jahoman would ever stand up to Hisillo. Because of the uproar, the banquet stops, and it is decided Hisillo will be put on trial. This means there will be a delay in the decision for the next ruling tribe.

    I'll continue in a part 3 later.

Because I have some free time:
While Hisillo's trial is underway, Sienna must wait. Although they try to rush the trial, it still takes several days (around 15) to gather witnesses and whatnot. So, Sienna spends her time reading and researching about the desert tribes. Kuhn takes the role of Sienna's "tutor" to teach her how to speak the desert language so that he can meet with her every day since women are separated from men in the compound. (Very clever, that Kuhn...) They meet in the library so that he can teach her.

Around this time, Stefan, the accountant or financing manager for the Raad Clan comes to visit. His personality is interesting. While most people do not question Kuhn's orders and/or just follow his orders anyway, he questions Kuhn all the time. He's prickly, and well, it's understandable because he's the financing manager. :blobsweat: He heard rumors that Kuhn was infatuated with the Princess from the Empire, so he's taken it upon himself to investigate and dissuade Kuhn from trying to be with Sienna because he just doesn't see how being with her will ever further the Raad Clan's goals. Stefan is all about the Raad Clan and furthering its purpose; that's why he joined. He liked their ambitions and goals. He did not want Kuhn to ruin all their work because of Sienna.

BUT when Stefan arrives, he's surprised by the Kaligo members' attitudes toward Sienna (like that of Uss, for example, who volunteered to guard her; something which is out of Uss' character). He decides he must meet her, but Kuhn doesn't want them to meet. One day when Kuhn is entering to the library to meet Sienna, he's surprised to see Stefan leave it. Apparently, hearing about how the accountant of the Raad Clan wanting to meet her, Sienna arranged the meeting herself. At this point, it's not known what they discussed, but Stefan also leaves with a new found respect for Sienna. Kuhn proceeds to ask her what they talked about, and she said about the Raad Clan, but she's not very forthcoming about any other info. One thing leads to another, and they make out in the library. :blobpopcorn_two: It should be noted that there are literally slaves everywhere standing at attention to assist Sienna. One of the rules is that they cannot speak about what they see or hear or they will be executed, so Sienna and Kuhn are literally just making out on a desk in front of these people, and they can't say a word about it or the nature of Kuhn and Sienna's relationship (which is not fully known by everyone at this point.)

Anyway, after 15 days the trial concludes. Hisillo is exiled and not executed for his crimes for the sake of the Hotu tribe's leader. Kuhn saw Hisillo's wicked expression when Sienna entered the banquet, and knowing Hisillo's crimes, will have him executed in the desert anyway. (There's a very sadistic side to our boi. :blobwoah:) They commence the appointment of the next leader of the desert. The current tribe leader has a son who is either 7 or 12; I can't remember, but definitely, not old enough to be the king. The king wants this boy to be his heir because out of his numerous children, only this child has shown the qualities of a king.

Sienna listens to the appeals of each of the tribes, and surprising everyone, recites some fundamental laws/rules of the desert tribes that she found, and she speaks in the desert language which she picked up in just 15 days. (Sienna is just SO excellent :blob_pompom:). The laws of the desert are assembled rules by the ancestors of the tribes which lay out the qualities of a king and what they must know to be king. There's a really, really long passage each king is supposed to know and recite. Sienna asks each of the current leaders of each tribe to recite this passage because it is their law that the king knows this passage. They all try to, but they cannot. No one can. She calls forward the young boy who is able to recite this passage by heart. He's from the Tuisa tribe, and she appoints him to be the next king following the customs/rules of set out by the desert tribes. She also declares that it would be better for all three tribes to unite because they balance each other. Hotu = warriors, Rama = scholars, Tuisa = middle. This is a satisfactory end. This is how the desert conflict ends, and Sienna goes home. Kuhn has to tie up remaining ends, so he does not go with her.

Jahoman and Fatima get married as mentioned further along in the story. They work together to unify the tribes for the next few years until the new king is of age.

Here ends the important parts of the desert conflicts. I read this MTL and wrote this from what I can remember, so there may be a few inaccuracies, but I'll do my best to fix them later if needed. :blobokhand:

Thank you so much for providing me with this information, I can’t wait to see this in the Manhua later on. Sienna truly is a quick study isn’t she? I mean she managed to learn the desert tribe language in just 15 days, that’s just amazing don’t you agree? I can’t wait to see what Sienna will look like wearing the desert tribal clothing, and gold accessories you mentioned. Those Golden eyes of hers show that she has a ❤️ of gold to match them, don’t you agree? I also can’t wait to see what Fatima’s gonna look like in desert tribal clothing, I’m sure that she will look stunning as well. I hope that Jahoman and Fatima will have great chemistry ❤️ between them, and I hope that he will find her intellect, charm, and beauty appealing.

I also hope that Fatima with the help of Jahoman and the boy (soon to be king) will be able to change the status of women among the tribes. What’s the point of separating men and women anyway, how are they supposed to understand and learn to respect each other if they are kept separated? Fatima and Sienna are really interesting women, they make quite a good team, sort of like the sisters supporting each other. They should both have family get together moments in the future when they both have children of their own. What are the chance of one of Sienna’s children marrying one of Fatima’s children someday?

It's been a long time but there is no one yet that edited the spoiler curator, so i decided to edited it, and turn out although there is only 16 pages, i didn't realize there is so many juicies spoiler. Thank you so much for all the people who contribute giving us spoilers! I'm sorry if i missed something, you can edit it by click edit as long as you have account.

This manhwa is one of my favorite, and definitely on my top list. What i like is, Sienna and Kuhn have a good communication unlike many manhwa where there is a lot of misunderstanding. They also not afraid to show each other affection. As a result we have so many kiss scene in manhwa :blobparty:. If anyone interested to re-read/read it, you can go to chapter 14, 15, 21, 29, 34, 38, 51, 58, 59, 63, 69, 73, 76, 79, 80, 88, 91, 92, 94:blobpopcorn_cool::bloblove:

Can someone spoils us more about their marriage life in present or another sweets moment of them? Tysm ❤️

I know exactly what you mean, I love this couple. Sienna and Kuhn are loving couple, I wish that there were more couples like this in Manhua and manga. I love it that there’s no misunderstandings or miscommunications between them. I also love that the two of them are incredibly passionate about each other, you can tell when they kiss each other. On another note, I know that the Emperor and Sienna’s mother aren’t on good terms. Nevertheless the Emperor should’ve at least tried to be a more loving father to Sienna regardless of her mother. I hope he realizes what a failure he’s been as a father, and I hope that he will apologize to Sienna.

You can find it on page one (see spoiler curator's post). Just a tip, if you want to find any korean novel just type the hangul on google and you'll find the sites that published it~

Hello there! I am new to Novel Updates and came here after learning that my favorite manhwa The Great Wish was actually a novel first (and a smutty one at that lol). I had to sign up here and ask a few questions about it because I'm very interested in buying the novel.

    1. Firstly, am I right that there are no English translations of the novel anywhere? Whether official or fan-translation?

    2. Since there is no tl being done anywhere, backreading a bit thru the posts in this thread, I learned that the best option to read this in English is to buy the novel, then translate the Hangul thru machine tl (MTL). By this, do you mean Google translate? Or is there another better way to do MTL?

    3. For anyone with experience reading Korean novels through MTL, is it worth it? Is it a good enough translation? It will be my first time reading one thru MTL. I'm a native English speaker so I have no trouble catching nuances in English that may be "mistranslated" literally (in fact, I also do this for raw manhwa chapters I want to read in advance). However I have not done this for a novel before so I'm concerned that there may be problems in novel MTLs that I have not foreseen. In manhwa, there are pictures which help me figure out the "correct" translation, however, in novels, obviously there isn't anything like that.

    4. How many books do I buy to get the complete story of The Great Wish (preferably uncensored)? And where is the best place to buy them that will also make it easy for me to use Google translate on the text? As in I can easily highlight the text, then copy and paste to Google translate. I am aware that some sites have copy protection, so are there sites without copy protection? If not, how do other people do it? Through OCR/scanning?

I apologize for the long-ass post lol. As you can see, I'm not a stranger to MTLs because I use Google translate for raw manhwa chapters, but this will potentially be the first time I'll be doing it for a novel, and thus, I want to make sure I do it in the easiest and (hopefully) cheapest way possible. I'm hoping for a smooth experience through out and ask for advice from the veterans here lol.

I don't want to be stuck buying Korean novels I am unable to read... so before I take the plunge and purchase some, I'd like to ask for assistance and advice from the people here :)
