Ok, I am writing a character who have a similar hairstyle as this guy . I am having trouble with describing the part of his hair that is hanging down his forehead. If there is a specific word for it I just don’t know it yet.(As English is not my native Language.)
So Authors (Or Readers) How would you guys describe his hairstyle.

'bangs' is an American term and 'fringe' is used in the rest of the English speaking world...
so 'long, unkempt side-parted bangs/ fringe' depending on which word fits best.

With how the words are used in Australia, "Fringe" refers to hair cut in front of the face, while "Bangs"... is a term I have heard of, but mostly in movies. Personally, I had assumed it talked about hair framing the face in front of the ears, but haven't heard it in context enough to actually use it.

Just googled it, and found this oage that goes into detail about it: https://www.zalahair.com/blog/is-there-a-difference-between-fringe-and-bangs/ . Here's the main takeaway from that site:

ANSWER TO OP'S QUESTION: As for how to describe the haircut of Serius Black in that picture: He has a mess of wavy, shoulder length hair that covers both ears, parted on the left, with a tuft of hair hanging down to just above his right eye.
