I’m abbreviating a lot because of summarizing everything, but the cooking cult is basically, Kyle just gets excited whenever she cooks something and doesn’t even bother to ask what it is anymore, and everyone else just had their minds blown. There’s a lot of comedy in this story based around food. As for the Aunt, a lot of it is guilt that she wasn’t there for her sister when she was dying in childbirth (the aunt was on the battlefield at the time) and it mixed with her anger at her sister essentially being replaced immediately to make her say she would never deal with the Herbert family again

Wow. I was providing the info for people who were actually interested in supporting the authors even if the novel isn’t in English, but ok. Spoiler: Vol 2, chapter 4, part 1 Following the meeting at the Aunt’s place, Nivea makes plans to head back immediately, because they’re on a tight timeline. Kyle says he’s going to follow her back, but then gets suspicious how she made it there in the first place, so she tells him about the orcs killing her horse and her shooting the ogre in the butt to scare them off. She leaves out the mention of the unicorn, and Kyle is confused about how she escaped from the ogre, since even experienced knights can be killed by them. Kyle then asks her to come with him once this is over, and she refuses with a hard “No” shocking him. She doesn’t want to go because she now knows he “works” for the crown prince and she doesn’t want to take either side in that fight. She doesn’t tell Kyle why she refused and he takes it personally, asking his aide (the one who keeps complimenting his junk) how he can get her to to come to his side and the aide suggests giving her flowers. The trip back is skipped and we come back to Nivea sneaking back into her family home with the help of Hugo. No one noticed she was gone. She’s put back into solitary until the day people start showing up for the succession ceremony. Her stepmother shows up with a fancy dress for her to wear and threatens Nivea to behave or else. There’s a big banquet where Nivea starts to get tired and her feet start to hurt from the heels, so she decides to leave to go to the garden, only to run into Duke Timothero. They’re surprised to run into each other and he asks her about the break up. She confirms it and he basically says that it makes him more interested in her, and he says he likes bad girls. Nivea calls him a pervert which is another word they don’t have in that world, like pushover, so he’s confused. She says it’s a nickname and shortens it to perv, basically refusing to tell him she’s making fun of him. The Duke gets called away again, and she escapes to the garden where she finds Kyle breaking into the manor. They talk briefly and Kyle gives her a dagger and compliments her by saying she’s good at fighting and cooking before she mentions meeting the Duke. She tells him she called the Duke a pervert, and then has to explain to him what that means, though she knows he’s really good at understanding her idioms after a single explanation, and she’s a little stung over being called a pushover before. Then, being tired, Nivea lays down on the bench to sleep outside, and Kyle is discomfited by this. He wonders where she learned to be at ease laying down next to men, and calls her a pervert. On the way to the Herber house, he stopped to try and buy flowers but they were all sold out, so he buys some flower seeds for Nivea to grow (she almost eats them). She heads back inside, and she feels a little fluttery, while Kyle escapes.
Spoiler: Vol 2, chapter 4, part 2: The next day is the succession ceremony. Nivea is allowed to attend because the Duke is there and when she walks downstairs she sees her father is finally unguarded and less drugged and tells him she won’t let Azura win. It’s heavily implied Azura may have threatened him too. When she enters the ceremony room the Duke makes her sit next to him. The ceremony starts and suddenly Nivea’s aunt walks in to everyone’s shock. She’s like, sorry I’m late, and sits down. A priest blesses the stepbrother Nudolf, and is like, “May God strike you down if you come in ill faith (not really, but kind of)” and there’s a part of the ceremony where the guests give gifts to Azura (the stepmother). This is where the Aunt, Ferraria, comes in and hands out handfuls of the poison to all the guests and was like, “I brought this here all the way from your homeland because I heard that you like it so much you order it all the time.” And Azura is trying to deny it. The key about the crowweed it that it’s a medicine that boosts energy if you harvest only the young plant, so she says she only uses the young plant. Azura starts crying crocodile tears and claims she’s been supporting this family all these years, almost swaying the other nobles to her side. But then Ferraria drags in Azura’s supplier, and gets him to confess. Azura continues to deny it until Hugo is like, “I can prove it.” And throws a jar of the fully grown herb on the ground. It eventually devolves into Azura begging the Duke to support her and the other nobles want to see what is happening. The Duke kind if takes stock of the situation and then grabs Nivea’s hand and says that Azura needs to be taken to court, he won’t support someone who upsets his fiance. He says this mostly because even if he gets Azura out of the situation, there will be rumors later and he doesn’t want to dirty his own reputation. Nivea is shocked and keeps trying to get her hand back, and Kyle, who is watching elsewhere has a dark expression. Meanwhile, Nudolf is claiming he had no idea what his mother was doing, so Nivea, who escaped the Duke, runs over and punches him in the face, basically making fun of him for having his big day ruined. He then tries to attack Nivea, but Kyle swiftly knocks him down before hiding again. The Duke then comes over and takes her injured hand, being all lovey dovey in front of everyone by protecting it. Ferraria and him start low key arguing over Nivea (since Ferraria is a supporter of the crown prince) and he takes the opportunity to announce to everyone that he and Nivea have been engaged for years but Nivea was too shy to announce it. Nivea is freaking out because she’s being forced into the Duke’s team.
Spoiler: Duke Aetius He was white-washed close to the end of the novel. His twisted personality was caused by his childhood. He was an illegitimate son, born from a maid. His father couldn't produce an heir for the longest time. And you'd think he would cherish the only successor he finally had, that was not the case. The duchess at the time tried to get her miscarried and there were lots of scheming as well, trying to harm the baby duke. They exiled his mom after she gave birth. The Duke thought he was abandoned by his mother, so he didn't view any woman in a positive way growing up. He did get obsessed with Niviea at one point, thinking that was "love" (and Niviea was charming and independent in her own way, the duke was genuinely interested in her). But eventually, Niviea found a letter from the duke's mom, and he realized his mother actually loved him deeply, to the point, she devoted her body and soul to Horeisya (actual God of that world) in exchange to prevent any fatal harm that may come into the Duke's way. He was exiled to the south but turned the area into a prosperous fief, with Kyle and Niviea's blessing. He remained a loyal and friendly ally to repay Niviea for finding out the truth of his mother and Kyle's decision of giving him another chance. If you read the manhwa, you can tell this whole story gears towards comedy, so not really surprise with this outcome. Spoiler: Why Niviea was brought to this world So... there actually wasn't any complicated truth in this matter. She was brought to this world by God Horeisya because Horeisya thought, given how emotionally invested she was when she read the novel, the chances of her creating a different ending would be higher. The original Niviea Herbert had a heart of a true saintess. After she learned that Horeisya was going to wipe out half of the world's population cause of the endless war between the 2 kingdoms, she refused to carry out that divine intervention. Instead, She sacrificed herself for Horeisya to grant her last wish: turn back time, and find another saintess to give humanity a second chance. Niviea eventually convinced Horeisya to leave humanity alone in the end. Spoiler: Summary in POINT form If you don’t mind point form and being super abbreviated ... feel free to read ahead. -Bringing Guilty step-mom and step-brother to the capital for trail (directly picked up from the latest spoiler thread) -ambushed by monsters, lizardman, while the team took a break in a forest -team got divided, and Niviea and Kyle spent a night together in a cave -The egg hatched, it was an ancient spirit (that Kyle only knew from fairy tales), called Ego (eh-go) Spirit. It could transform to any weapon. Niviea named it “Egoni” -The scattered team members regrouped after defeating the lizardman, step-mom went missing, only the step brother was found. Memorable moments: Lots of romantic development between FL and ML. Power Duo moment when they had to fight off the monsters together (bonus point for Egoni turning into a bow, that comes with an unlimited supply of light arrows, at the last minute and allow Niviea to be a badass) After arriving at the capital -Niviea acted friendly towards Duke Aetius, so she could go to his mansion and look for evidence of treason -She drank with Aetius in his room, and the 2 got physically close, but Niviea choked him until he fainted (then started digging for dirt) -Niviea met God Horeisya for the first time (didn’t learn anything important) -Niviea was kidnapped by Rosanna’s dad (the other saintess candidate) to prevent her from showing up to the Selection Day. -Kyle came to her rescue on the 3rd day, finally realized his feelings for Niviea at this point. Wanted to tell her about his identity but before he could, Niviea further misunderstood his status and thought he was the captain of the royal knights, and blurted out “thank goodness you are not the prince, I cannot be with people with high status.” So Kyle was afraid to tell her the truth. -Niviea made it to the Selection Ceremony at the last minute and had one of the Most BADASS moment. She rode on the unicorn and shot her kidnappers from the air, publically punished the scums, no one doubted her as the selected saintess. But because of her actions, she was given the title, The Bloody Goddess from Hell. To be continued… Spoiler: Straight to the end Obviously a happy ending. Niviea and Kyle managed to get Arkan (the other kingdom) to surrender and established a peace treaty to prevent future wars. The very short epilogue showed Niviea was going to tell Kyle about her real identity, but Kyle sort of hinted that he already knew before Niviea could come clean. He asked her if it was "her" when they first met, and that's all that mattered as long as she was the Niviea he knew from the very beginning. The side story mentioned their first night after the wedding. Niviea getting pregnant, small events leading up till her giving birth. They had a daughter.

Spoiler: Summary in point form - Continue After Niviea punished her kidnappers, her head started bleeding again (she hit her head during the kidnap and didn’t any receive proper treatment). She managed to keep herself awake until she reached the ground, but fainted as soon as she landed. Kyle was there to catch her, and whispered “you did well.” before she was out. 3 days later, Niviea woke up and she went to the palace to visit the king. Now that she became the saintess, she wanted to see if she can do something about the king’s illness. Turned out Egoni has some kind of healing ability as well. The king’s condition got a bit better, but still asleep. Because Niviea helped the king, it was unavoidable that the prince should now officially greet the saintess. However, still afraid of revealing his true identity, Kyle ended up switching clothes with his knights (the shadow guard that he always talks to). When Kyle showed up and invite Niviea to dinner, he noticed Niviea was not in a good mood. He wanted to know how her recovery was but Niviea gave him the cold shoulder. She eventually left the table and Kyle went after her. The 2 found an empty room to speak privately, and Niviea was implying something with her tone, (at one point, she asked Kyle, If there is something she should know…) but Kyle chose to ignore it, until Niviea finally popped the truth herself, that she now knows Kyle was indeed, the prince. Niviea found out the truth from Duke Aetius. He visited her after she woke up and told her the dagger she received from Kyle has the royal symbol. Anyway, so Niviea was hoping Kyle could come clean himself. But he disappointed her. She started to think that Kyle was just using her for his plan, just like the Duke. (get the saintess on his side). She gave Kyle a piece of her mind, and then stormed off the palace. Not long after, Niviea was informed by Hugo that her father was in critical condition and she had to go home asap. So she left the capital immediately. Her aunt asked a few paladins to accompany her for the travel. On the way home, Niviea found out one of the paladin was Kyle. The 2 had a heart to heart and they reconciled. (sweet moment s here) Niviea still didn’t make it, and the funeral was already in progress when she arrived. Her sister became the new head of the house. Niviea had to stay to help her sister for her new role, while Kyle had to leave when they heard Arkan’s troop was getting close to the boarder. Niviea met the second prince of Arkan, Simon, by chance. She obviously didn’t know who he was, but he knew she was the saintess. I don’t remember exactly how things went from here, but Niviea also went to help Kyle after settling her family’s affairs. She sneaked into the Duke’s mansion to look for evidence of treason (She knew from the novel that Duke and Arkan were in an alliance). But she got caught by the Duke. Kyle had a meeting with the Arkan’s army and Simon. The meeting didn’t go well, but during the conversation, he found out something big was going to happen in just 3 days at the Duke’s mansion. Niviea was drugged by the Duke and was about to be forced into a marriage with him. Kyle crashed the wedding at the last minute and Niviea also got her sense back around the same time, right about the Duke was about to kiss her, to be exact. Niviea rejected the wedding and made it clear this time she had no intention of marrying the Duke ever. The 3 got into some serious conversation. At the end, Niviea gave him the letter his mother left him and the Duke confessed his own treason. Kyle exiled him instead of giving him the capital punishment. Niviea and Kyle once again headed back to the palace to deal with the aftermath of the Duke’s exile (reorganize the court). On the way back, they finally confessed to each other. (Kyle started the mood, but it was Niviea who kissed Kyle first, just saying). It was also mentioned that Niviea already knew Kyle’s feeling for her from the way he looked at her (didn’t say when she knew though), but couldn’t make up her mind until the “wedding incident” To be continued For people who are on the fence if they want to read the novel or not. Kyle is so loving and doting towards Niviea. He always puts Niviea above everything else, and never starts an argument with her EVEN when he is frustrated. Super soft Namju when it comes to Niviea. Lots of pampering that it makes my heart melt. and Niviea's definitely a badass from start to finish (except one brief weak moment). Id say these are the greatest elements for this story.
I forgot this spoiler was not completed...Let me wrap this up quickly LOL Spoiler: Continuation to THE END Im just gonna cut to the chase. After Niviea and Kyle returned to the palace, the King drew his last breath, so Kyle ascends the throne. But Simon, prince of Arkan showed up at the palace and demand Niviea and is willing to wage war for her. Niviea surrenders herself willingly, cause she didnt want the war. But after she got to Arkan, Kyle was forced to bring her back by the public (turns out the ppl there favored her, and was willing to go to war to get her back). Niviea was able to convince the God of that world to not wipe out humanity (a bit cliche type of reasoning, like, there will be evil but also lots of goodness in humanity, just give humans the chance to grow blah blah blah). So she eventually fought along side Kyle. Having a unicorn as your ride was the ultimate cheat. Niviea was able to flee from Arkan's palace to the place where Kyle was immediately, and then flew directly to the palace (Kyle and Niviea were OP anyway) and kidnapped the king of Arkan which then ended the war at lightning speed. A peace treaty was established. Niviea made up her mind to stay (she was given the chance to return to Korea earlier) so she married Kyle and became the queen. They had a daughter together. The side stories were fluffy. Talked about their first night after the wedding. Both were super nervous and Niviea was scared first but Kyle's patience and gentleness touched her heart (He was fine with not going through that night, as he put it "they have the rest of their life to be together, anyway") which led them eventually finished the deed. Then it fast forward to Niviea getting pregnant. Before they knew what was happening, Kyle was worried for her loss of appetite and looking hard for a chef that can cook very well. Then he got morning sickness when Niviea no longer had them (when the husband worried too much about their pregnant wife, their body sort of empathize with the mothers). Then Niviea said she wanted peaches during the middle of winter. So again, Kyle searched high and low for the impossible fruit of the season, and eventually found them with the help of Duke Aetius. On the day Niviea gave birth, she was swearing and cursing Kyle for being the cause of the pain, and Kyle, being in the same room as her, also blamed himself and went along with all the things Niviea was yelling at the time.
