If I made a general post about leaving it'd be because I know a bunch of people would miss me and I don't have time to reach out to them all individually. Usually when I leave a scene it generally no longer serves my purposes and has never had anything to do with other people. I don't tend to say anything and just private message the ones I'm closest to with my contact details if they want to catch up with me later. I never expect anything from anyone, not even friends, so it doesn't bother me if they just up and leave. Our time together was obviously done and that's okay.
i like this place, its like the very first forum that i actually stay around... and trust me, i'll be here, lurking with my second account. but i wont leave, only to be kicked when the forum closed or an apocalypse maybe =w=)
What if they didn't mean it as a goodbye, only a see you, but ended up long enough to look like a farewell? Like, something happens so you tell everyone you've gotta take a break for some time, but then more things unexpectedly keep happening so you just can't find time to properly inform everyone?
