What is coffee like?

I’ve never had coffee it’s not something people from my culture drink we mostly stick to tea but I’ve always been curious what does coffee taste like and there’s different types too right what’s the best and worst kind in your opinion

 

You said you're British on some football post right? Despite you guys liking tea a lot, I can't believe you haven't tried coffee.....

 

The normal brews are super bitter so I usually like to add sugar and milk ro sweeten it.
I like iced coffee and caramel latte is nice too.

Coffee shops are super common over there too

Coffee is every bit as varied as tea. some are really bitter, others chocolatey, others almost fruit-like. That said, it all tastes the same if your drown it in milk and sugar (Starbucks logic)

 

I used to drink coffee. I think it tastes bitter, but not unpleasant if you add sugar? Yeah, I don't remember much now, though. I've stopped drinking coffee because of the weird aftertaste in my mouth. Same goes for tea.

 

I mean, instant coffee is just a store away, and unlike alcohol there's no particular stigma around it. Why not just try it first if you're curious

 

Well I'm not a coffee fan either, but neither do I drink tea. Call me a kid if you like but chocolate drinks are the best~!!!

To me, all coffee tastes gross, even just coffee flavored things. No amount of sugar or milk can save it, for me. But I understand I’m vastly in the minority.

 

Me too, I meant we drink tea more, the last time I drank coffee was 1 and a half years ago.

If you're asking about the taste of coffee, it tastes like coffee!!!! yea, you should drink, It tastes super good if you add a lot of sugar and milk.

If you didn't actually tried just buy "Nescafe" and "coffee mate" and try it.

 

You're not alone though. I don't get why people drink something so bitter either. The smell is really good. Sadly it doesn't live up to it in taste.

 

I am a fan of coffee and I like my coffee with sugar and milk(condense milk taste sweets too) .i drink them at least one time per day .
you can add chocolate syrup too (personal taste)

 

Depends on type. From EXTREMELY bitter to oversweetened vanilla something.
I like mine either pure or with milk, which makes it taste like milk.

 

probably not great reference for coffee since I've only ever had mochas (2 times lol) and some sips of other coffees but coffee tastes like it smells but with a strong punch of bitter might just be me but I can't seem to escape the bitter taste even when trying sweetened ones
coffee candy like kopiko is okay for me though but I imagine a lot of sugar went into that tiny candy

 

I can tolerate mocha flavor to some degree, but coffee in itself? No, thank you

 

Coffee makes me sleepy.

Also, I like my coffee with lots of creamer. While black coffee is fine, I still prefer it sweet and creamy. Sometimes I add choco to the coffee, too.

 

I honestly really like coffee. People say it's bitter, but even if I add no sugar and milk, I still find it quite sweet tbh. It's the best for a little desserts, but it does not help me feel more awake. But that must be only me XD

 

Compared to tea, I would say that coffee has an earthier flavor and a deeper, fuller spectrum bitterness from the roasting. Personally, I prefer the aroma of the average coffee ten times more than the flavor. If you're coffee curious, one way to go about it is to avoid the daily coffee places (Starbucks, McDonalds) and find ethnic, family run establishments (e.g. Turkish or Italian or Ethiopian) with good reputation or reviews, then go from there.
