I don’t trust people that say they are born on January 1st especially online!!!

I always think it’s a lie when someone states their birthday is 1 January is it just me or what? I know it seems weird to think about this

What about the ones born on 3rd January

 

I doubt my mom is lying to me so probably just you.

 

It’s passable 1st January seems like you randomly chose it and I will never believe you my mum has 1st January as her birthday on her legal documents but it’s a lie no one actually remembers when she was born so they randomly wrote it down

 

I won't trust them if they say the same on April 1.

P.S. I missed having my birthday on January 1 by just nine hours.

Having worked with the general publics personal information the most common reason birthdays are set at 1st of January is because the record keeping of the country is really bad, I used to see this all the time when dealing with migrants and refugees it's quite odd seeing a family of 4 grandmother, aunties and mum all having the same D.O.B so I asked them if it was a happy coincidence or not and they explained.

I know of this as a old way of backwater countries to deal with it before administration was a thing. If there was no birth certificate and the person needed an passport the administration just asked how old they are and put the birthdate as 01.01.1975 etc.

 

Be like me, I sometimes say my birthday is on June 31...

Some don't even notice what's wrong about that date xD

You shouldn't doubt those who claimed to be born on 1st January. You should instead doubt those who claim to be born on the 1st of April. There is a 100% chance that they're messing with you, even when they're telling the truth.

 

Yeah ikr I don't understand this obsession with 1st January. In my personal experience, 1st January is not so special birth day. I know 5 people irl who were born on 1st January. There isn't any other day which is shared by this many people whom I know. I'd say that 29 Feb is more unique and uncommon than 1st Jan.

 

I missed it by six days.

 

Ahahahaha same, especially when I used to use the 1st of January as my fake birthday when signing up for games and stuff XDD
