Can anyone please explain to me the alias name MC chose for herself. Novel name: FROM SIDEKICK TO BIGSHOT Character name: Jian Yiling Alias / abbreviation: F.S Explanation given: Negative ten is Fu Shi in Chinese. Why did she choose negative ten, is there any significance? After she explains Dr. chen is rethinking of naming himself X1. WHY???
as a person who has not read this novel but has a tiny bit of knowledge in chinese, it might be a play on her name? jian sounds like the word for cut (also jian) which I guess can be interpreted as minus/negative yi ling sounds like 1 (yi) and 0 (ling) so 10... maybe....... idk this is just what i thought
I agree with this, her name seems like a homonym of -10, so it would explain her nickname quite well. Oh yeah, btw- following a similar line of logic, "chen" sounds like "multiply" in Chinese. Dr = 医 = yi = 1. In Chinese, Dr. Chen would've been pronounced as "Chen Yi" (the surname goes first and the title goes second) or "Multiply by 1" or "X1"
