Seeing such pitiful condition of him she felt sympathy for him and also fell in love with him cause he was such a strong man but yet was carrying heavy burdens. Also, she got to know that he was in love with his deceased friend's wife. She later enters in a contact marriage with him, a marriage without love, but she was confident that she will able to change his heart. ML is of course unexpressive and doesn't care much about her. I mean such a marriage for 10 years omg! Also she had a miscarriage I don't how but the ML was busy caring for the woman he had an unrequited love for. They both actually suffer from a painful love. I don't know what was the situation that he cannot marry the widowed woman he's love with maybe cause to honor his friend and to not be greedy. Anyway, so yeah, she was his wife but he wasn't there when she needed him the most. The child that died belonged to both of them, it was also his fresh and blood but it was seen as he didn't really cared about them. There are a lot misunderstandings as well. Looking at the comments the ML will roll a lot in regret. The regret part was really the best, the comment section was literally cheering at his regret lol. She will finally divorce him and will decide to live for herself instead of being just a doll on display. This novel's ML is another piece of trash . But the premise is interesting and hopefully there would be spoilers for this one.

I’ve read similar novels where the fl and ml are married for a couple of years then divorce, but here it’s 10 years bruh. I’m pretty sure there’s gonna be lots of misunderstandings the author will create to make them end up together

If MC stays and successfully keeps the divorce, then good for her. On one hand, from the spoilers we know: A. I support MCs side on the child argument, literally regardless on what you feel for your wife, (though if we get misunderstanding route where he thinks its not his child, I could give SOME leeway, I mean... it IS a contractual marriage. It all depends on whether MC was proactive in seducing her husband) hubby should've been present on such a tragic event. B. On the other hand, MC was stupidly expecting she had a chance on a heartbroken man when she offered the contractual marriage

Spoiler: Review I feel like the cover illustration shows the mood of the title well. Although the two men and women stand very close together, the female protagonist's eyes that seem to be looking at different places seem to show the tragedy between the two. As you can see that there are keywords of misunderstanding, regretful man, and wounded woman, the more I look at it, the more I dislike the actions of the male owner, Kyle. Seeing the comments clamoring for Kyle to roll in the future, everyone seems to be of the same mind. Right now, I'm seeing Kyle's wrong actions as a bit of fun to chew on. Later, depending on how convincingly the artist draws Kyle's regrets, the interest in the work seems to increase even more. The mistress, Ael, is ignorant and falls in love with Kyle and gets married, but after going through a series of events, she gradually gets tired, and after a tragic incident, she seems to have completely collapsed. It's frustrating because he's not from a very powerful family, and Kyle has a tight grip on Ael's range of action and doesn't allow him to move around recklessly. As we entered the latest episode, Ael was also actively acting and the things he had hoped for were happening, but I'm curious to see how it will unfold in the future. If possible, I think it would be better if Ael ran away to a safe place where Kyle could not be found, as everyone would wish for, so that Kyle had a hard time as much as Ael was in pain. Spoiler: Part 1 So if you've read the spoilers from the picked-up thread you might know that Ael fell in love with Kyle when she saw him crying his heart out. As weird as it sounds, the chapter was full of emotion. Ael had never seen any man with such heavy emotions before. She saw Kyle, who was the Duke, such a beautiful man crying like he lost everything. There onwards she used to notice him and she caught on to his feelings for Hari who was the wife of Louis (it was the friend's name who died if I remember correctly) I know you're in love with the Countess. How....how do you know about it? (It was because you were always looking at her while I was always looking at you) So she manages to convince Kyle into marrying her through contract. It was not only because she loved him, but it was also cause she was from a poor family (I think she was a noble too), her father was an alcoholic and a gambler and she needed a way out of her house. So this is how they get married. Hari and Louis were Kyle's childhood friends. Kyle was brought up in a strict family and they always looked out for him. He thought of Louis as his brother and Hari (over the time he fell in love with her) but couldn't confess his feelings. Hari and Louis loved each other and got married. I don't remember this part clearly cause I'd few tickets and I skipped the chapters If I'm not wrong, Louis died while saving Kyle and this is why Kyle feels very guilty, the weight is added to the guilt caused by his unrequited love for his best friend's wife. Hari once runs away into a forest to remove her feelings of Louis cause she couldn't bear the loss, (it was believed that if anyone goes into that forest, their memories will be erased). In this process, she got wounded but Kyle managed to save her. Her mental health started slipping and she thought of Kyle as Louis. How I once used to think that I've become Louis but now... Kyle gets drunk and hugs Ael, yes I can prove it didn't matter...all those feelings didn't matter and as a result of that Ael gets pregnant. P.S - This marriage was not known to Hari, I think Kyle kept a secret about it. This part was hard to understand whether it was the marriage he hides (Ael consented to it) or was it the part that he married Ael cause of her. (It got revealed as once Hari barged into their castle, she was free to, and hid, Kyle didn't know that she was here and blurted it. I think it was here he got drunk and hugged Ael) Ael is over the moon cause she believed that this child can bring them a little closer (all these years she tried hard to win Kyle's heart but she never crossed the line nor she questioned her though he left her lonely and in misery) Kyle often uses to take care of Hari and used to spend time at her mansion, looking out for her. He never explained any of that to Ael nor did he feel like he needed to. One day Ael asked hee servants about Kyle's whereabouts and everyone was flustered (also, they didn't accept Ael much and Hari was more of the mistress of the house) Ael asked them strictly that where he is and after not getting any answer she decided to visit the house of the Countess herself. (Kyle's aid escorted her, he was the only one who sympathised with her) There were already rumours about Kyle and Hari being lovers but Kyle didn't clear them out cause he thought that he would've to reveal Hari's mental health and the greedy relatives will try to claim ownership of her position taking advantage of the situation. Ael reached the house where she saw both of them hugging each other, devastated she returned home and had a miscarriage. The real story starts now.

Spoiler: Part 2 The miscarriage had a huge effect on Ael and she decided that enough is enough and she would put an end to this marriage...Kyle saw her and felt sorry and guilty for her state but he didn't have the strength to comfort her ( I think he didn't even know why she miscarried) Kyle thought that she was so happy and was preparing everything for the birth of the child while he didn't even do anything. Kyle orders to remove all the baby clothes Ael had prepared. It is here the prologue dialogue happens, she asks for a divorce which Kyle rejects. He started trembling and thought that is the loss such unbearable that she wants to leave him, the child was someone she doesn't even love, she need not leave him for that. He barges out and leaves Ael all alone. Ael seeks him out and after avoiding her a few times, he meets her and says that he will do whatever she says except divorcing her. She asks him whether she could go to the forest (the rumoured one where memories are erased) and he doesn't allow it. He says to her that her condition isn't better and they have got a little squabble. Ael decided that she will leave anyhow and Tarkan, the aid helps her in it. She escapes fooling out Kyle. Kyle loses his sh*t and follows her, she was headed to the forest (my apologies I don't remember this part clearly, it's been days since I've read it) Also the forest was a liar for cults...they used to catch people and do voodoo-sacrifice and whatnot on them (if my memory serves correct) So they get in trouble there or something like that happens. Anyway, he managed to catch both of them but she threatens him with a bow and arrow that she will shoot him if she came near them, Kyle tried to coax her but to their disbelief, she release the arrow and my boy Kyle got nearly RIP. Some Pikachu faced later sh*t happens and they Ael and Tarkan fall of the cliff. Everyone sees them as dead (but they survive though it causes injury to Tarkan and Ael her memories, she forgot everything (ah I see so that's how forest magic worked) Tarkan says to he that he's her brother and they moved to a secluded town. Kyle is devastated, be searched for Ael for days but found no one, not even their body. Kyle is the only one believing that she isn't dead and keeps believing that he will find her. Kyle's heart went numb and body cold without Ael he feels incomplete. He goes to her room where everything is the same except the owner isn't there anymore, it looked like that the owner had gone somewhere and will be back soon. He goes to the balcony and mumbles that were you always so lonely, were you always waiting here for me, he looks through her diary guys I do no justice through spoilers...you gotta read this book. Man, it was so emotional, every word, every feeling was conveyed well by the author, the surge of emotions I felt. You might hate Kyle but believe me... he's not as garbage as you think. I believe this man had always suffered. First seeing his love with another man, losing his best friend (who was also his first love's husband all because of him), then losing his wife. I mean he did nothing to improve the relationship and blaming him is fair enough but please leave a teeny-tiny space for him in your heart, his suffering has just begun.... coming back to the diary...he reads about her daily life and it is all filled with him...he reads the last line... Kyle, I love you. His barely stable heart gets broken. It's been a year or two...Kyle has been reduced to bone and skins. He lives remembering Ael and hadn't given up on her. Hari visits him and comforts him, she tells him that she has decided to accept her life and she will move on from the past. Kyle looks at her, he's like a dead man, he thought that how my heart doesn't stir now when I look at her. There are no feelings or emotions left in him, Ael took them all away with her.
Says that, but ignored her for years let's watch his journey of suffering. Well, one a tiiiiiiiiiny good point, he never abuse her physically. But mentally abused is also not good Tarkan is such a good guy. Keep her hiding from him man!
In my heart I kept a chance to forgive him…. I think FL and ML are equally stupid, he for insisting on a relationship that never existed, she for trying to make a relationship exist that would never work out.
