There is something that stuck in my mind, I just can't get it off. It's kinda annoying. What do you do in this type of situation?

Bash your head against a wall. Promotes forgetfulness, I have been told. :blobpeek:

Get something else to think about or figure out WHY you think about it.

I'd usually ask myself why am I even thinking about it and eventually get tired of trying to figuring it out which makes me tired of thinking about it so I stop :blobdizzy:

Doing something else that takes up my attention is a more productive method but rarely used bc I'm just lazing around

Make yourself busy. Do something/anything that'll occupy your mind.

I block the thought from my mind and focus my attention to something else or find something of greater interest or importance to me.

Depends on the thing. If it's something painful and I can't change it (like death) then I read novels or indulge in fiction.

If it's someone who has hurt you, then you need to understand why they did what they did and then that usually does it.

If it's something you want but can't have.. Think why you want it, and how you can have it or something that fills your need. Then if you take steps to fill that need/want whatever it is. Your mind stops thinking about what you can't have because you're already working towards it.

Stop thinking and let yourself delve into the world of daydreams :aww:

In all seriousness, if it’s something that’s also stressing me out, I’ll write it down and then write down why I think it’s bothering me. Once I have an idea why it bothers me, I come up with a temporary solution and then I don’t think about it much after that.

If it's something trivial, then distracting yourself should be enough to get it out of your head.

If it's something serious, it will probably remain there for the foreseeable future. Not much that can be done on that regard... Except perhaps solving the cause of whatever you're thinking about.

Distract yourself from it . When I don’t wanna think about something I smack myself and tell my brain to think about something else and move onto another thought .
