https://www.novelupdates.com/series/the-regressed-demon-lord-is-kind/ Description: My whole life, all I wanted was power. I churned the world into rivers of blood and eventually gained the title, “Demon Lord of Strength”. However, all this became useless when I lost to a party of heroes. But what can a loser say? As I laid dying, I was forced to listen to the hero’s gibberish: “If you are born again, I hope that you will live a kind life!” But huh? When I opened my eyes again, I was back in the past. “What do I have to do to live a kind life?” This is the beginning of an ex-Demon Lord’s journey to live a kind life. ---------- I wasn't really expecting much based on the description when someone recommend it to me but it was actually a fun read so far. A nice take on a generic theme. The Mc's scumlike snd trollish kindhearted and sincere personality and antics while trying to do good have been enjoyable and fun. It's still early but let's see how it turns out
How dare u call the mc scum like and trollish!! He is the epitome of a upstanding and kind citizen!! Doing his best to be kind!
The premise sounds interesting, the reviews are totally dope. The number of chapters released till date is something to look at. Gonna let it stack up Lastly, thanks for the indirect rec
I personally like it. The MC seems like an idiot, but he has his own way of perceiving kindness. It seems he also actively understands his mistakes and works hard to do what is asked of him. To the point that his complex character becomes simpler than once believed. His common sense may be skewed but his desires are down to earth and understandable.
Welp, I'm cautiously optimistic about this one but so far the MC hasn't disappointed me yet. Usually novels with face-slapping can feel repetitive, but so far I've enjoyed him breaking people down after showing them hope. The "Hero" feels either like an Isekai or someone who's been forced to replay the same story over and over again. He seems to be aware of the original plot line but doesn't appear to be omniscient since he doesn't know why the plot has changed. This also makes me think that he's probably not the main antagonist but rather a pawn. The MC did mention having to face a bunch of trials which almost seemed scripted which makes me think there's probably something like a god entity fucking around with the world...eh we'll see.
snoc's...quite the idiot, huh. Believing rando's left and right. It seems like he'll be around for a while so I hope he wisens up.
wow this thread is dead. hopefully this arc moves a bit quicker than the previous one, biyom is a two-bit loser who doesn't deserve the screen-time
I wonder how Joachim gains his blood based abilities. A natural family ability or potentially related to the plague. Plus the novels still relatively new
Does he actually have blood-based abilities or did he just like swimming around in it? It would be kind of disappointing if someone with the last name a basically Dracula and who was called a vampire doesn't actually have blood-based abilities
I'm sure we'll see the reason after some chapters. My hypothesis is that the organization that orchestrated Snoc's fusion to Nowem would also be involved in this incident. I'm pretty sure its Glenn's organization.
My take is that he jus likes the feeling of blood, probs in the og timeline he was involved with some shit cos of the organisation that involves him being bathed in the blood of his followers/loved one which broke him My guess is that the organisation is involved in building up all this "demon people" for the "hero" to defeat thereby upping his status then take over the world, kinda like the messiah dude in kill the hero
It's been heavily hinted that Glen was also a Regressor. There's really a huge chance that the organization's goal was to make history flow on Glen's favor.
i think Glen is a multi regressor, and he did the same thing in the previous timeline to be the hero, but something (most likely Zich lol) probably fked up and he had to regress again.
Hmm...so fest was the one most people suspected. Neat...too bad there can't be a redemption for her at this point (she's already killed innocents unlike Snoc and Joachim)...at this point I doubt Jaochim will be a follower but his life is definitely much better off. I could imagine a situation where he wouldn't feel worthy to lead his people cause of his father's actions but he'd probably decide to atone for the past by being a good leader in the present.
Yeah I'd love a redemption arc for Fest, but I don't see it happening. While I don't see Jaochim becoming a follower unless something extreme happens in the confrontation between Fest and our MC, I can easily see the MC using Jaochim's lands as a base of operation going forward.
