Cleaning up tags on NU

Here's one very easy to find (and pretty good I might add) example of non-yuri or yaoi smut:

I could find more. And while the majority of the yaoi with high sexual content currently translated is much more likely to fall into the smut content category, it does not mean that there isn't a sizeable category of lightnovels and webnovels out there that are yaoi, but instead targeted towards men. It's just that it is very uncommonly translated currently.

And @Tony /other mods (@Shio or @remy911 ) if you are able to do it, I think it might be a good idea to limit the above user's ability to change tags/genres since they clearly do not and will not understand their meaning and usage.

 

That really should have been my final post, but I couldn't stop myself from rising to the bait.

1. If I think you are a person likely to mess with tags and genres that I among many others have put hours into trying to get right, then yes I do say there is a need.

2. I've found and used the ignore button before believe me.

3. I can and did refute what you are saying just because you cannot understand my refutations/discard them as invalid, doesn't mean that plenty of others haven't seen, understood and accepted them as valid. Which is why I don't see others agreeing with you. You have made an issue out of something that isn't an issue and only you have an issue with it (ok some of the more extremist SJWs probably have an issue too). The word is being used properly. Words can and do have more then one meaning. A word means what I intend it to mean and what others accept it as meaning. I considered posting something about the Humpty Dumpty theory of language, but I don't feel like wasting a good quote here.

In the most simplistic and brute sense, the smut genre is accepted as "josei with a little bit of action." Though there are exceptions.

 

Well, even if the word means that and should imply that, you cannot change the view of the whole community alone. It just simply is. You can shout, curse, and bang your head but it is accepted as such since the emergence of it. You should take your fight to the first person who made this so.

I like to think that smut is R-15 porn. It doesn't focus all that heavily on the sexual act as a pure R-18 one would, but it's still there.
