Its not a problem since it doesn't contradict it. We don't know how most of his abilities work. Death mage has a relatively soft power system despite all those numbers,
DK used both barriers btw he was famous for those one killed the kinetic energy/force making physical attacks and action useless, and the other killed the binding force of the spells ( elements) to transform it into pure Mana and the only full counter know for those barriers is using life and light attribute at the same time or at least I think that is how can explained them
No Life + Light is just the hard counter to death attribute. The plan that the creation champions came up with was just to completely overpower the shield with nukes while using Zakkart's special skill to make Bellwood immune to said nukes so he could get right into Gudu's face and hit him while his shields were being overpowered.
Using enough force to overcome the barriers is always possible, but requires an impractically large amount of power. Life+light is a counter for the death element.
I usually thought the death attribute nature is a negate and reverse effect. A fire that instead of emitting heat absorbed it, spell and curse, they made of mana so use death mana to negate the source itself....something like that.
____________________________________ This is true. Rodcorts plan was to SUPRESS Van's memory (not erase it) and only let him regain them a few years later after being miserable and already becoming suicidal. I believe that this was explained in that early chapter where Van dies on Origin and vows vengance on Rodcort. I also want to remind that there is a Side Story from Vida's Point Of View that directly explains about how she had anticipated Van's reincarnation on Lamda, sent those prophacy's, and intercepted Van's soul & changed it's Fate after Rodcort sent it to Lambda. Rodcort had long ago pre-arranged for all the reincarnated souls to keep their memories of their lives and up until now he has not thought of changing the souls memories, though Van & his friends DID have a short discussion about that possibility in the event Rodcort wanted to directly produce willing 'Hero's' for Alda's faction.
Suppressing Van's memories had nothing to do with making him commit suicide. That's just a normal thing Rodcorte does to avoid stressing out the person reincarnating. The reincarnated person in the Legston household also had no memories, got them back briefly but then the baby brain couldn't handle it and the advanced consciousness fizzled out again for another few months.
The baby's memories were suppressed, because he refused to fight Van. Rod arranged it so that he would be born in Amid, and would have reasons to fight against Van, before remembering who he is.
It's written in the story that the toddle's brain can't handle the information yet, as seen when they briefly remember they get high fever and forget everything after. Van should be the same but he used to think in the soul state that why he's fine
While that would normally be true, in this case, fear of Van gives the kid a panic attack, which triggers his memories, and gives him a fever, which erases the memories. It's also possible that Rod set it up that way, come near Van, and give yourself away as a reincarnator, with no choice but to fight for survival.
Except they also did not get their memories back until like 5 in Origin. The memory suppression is not anit-Van, but part of the original plan. Rod's anti-Van plan was to put them in families that would make them Van's enemies, it is a Rod level plan though...
Yeah it's just built in that you're not supposed to get those memories super early on because your body can't handle it. The same thing happened in Origin. By the way, one of those three reincarnated with the Legstons, one is apparently Marshy's son that was dumped off on Schneider and do we know where the third one is yet?
Wait, Yoshi wasn't over the driving exam age (18 to 21)? The heck, he's younger than me. Makes me feel old
