Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken (LN) Anyway, I haven't read the fan translation of Vol 1-5, I think it's better to read the Yen Press version just to be sure of the quality. I'm sure you already know the anime, though. The MC himself explicitly said in one volume that he "won't follow the Social Darwinist philosophy of Might Makes Right." Idk if that's the exact quote but it's pretty close. I think this article did a great job explaining his pacifist character without spoiling anything.
I usually don't like protagonists like this and prefer the cold-hearted and ruthless ones, but Rimuru still became one of my favorite fictional characters.
