    I, as a skilled guild member, was tasked with breaking the Duke of Verwinte's wedding.



    "This marriage is invalid! I... have the Duke's child."


    My unexpected confession made quite a stir in the wedding reception hall.


    'It seems like the wedding will be ruined, so should I just leave?'


    Just as I was about to leave the wedding hall, Veriwinter approached me and said,


    "Honey, why are you so late?"


    'Ho- honey? Did you just call me honey?'


    “I almost got married for real.”

    Based on deductions we can make, I think the Duke already knew her previously, so he was the one that made the request. It's possible that he liked her too or that they had a story together, so it's a way of tying her up.

    That's my assumptions checking his brooch color and the title, since it says "deceitful".

    So guys I read few chapters, and this is really interesting.it’s somewhat mysterious and kinda funny too.there are 3 handsome guys around our fl 1.the duke who becomes her contract husband(white haired) 2.the head of the guild member(blonde)3.loan shark(identity is unclear though /black haired). But non of these guys are certain about their feelings they are just teasing and flirting with fl. And our ml is quite jelly :blobparty:.callin honey ,baby so on.and if you this that’s all in the story it’s not :blobspy:
    So there is a taboo in dukes state “never walk in the mansion after midnight “ the duke use a put a magic choker around our fl neck to stop her from using magic and as a gps and warned her never to go out:hmm:.
    So what shall it be?

    No...this novel is different...the name of the original novel for 'A Deceitful Marriage' is 'Duke'

    This is someone's reviews about the novel

    They fell in love and got married..
    She scammed him. He let her stay then he left for a year. He came back, they spent a month together and fell in love.. He left again and came back with some random kid he picked up on the side of the road. He made the random kid his kid and have her raise it. They had sex and got married....
    Literally that's the entire story.

    omg tysmmm :aww::blobsob::blobsob::blobsob: you even linked it for me :blobpats: i feel so dumb now :facepalm::facepalm:. I thought they sounded kinda different but didn’t put two and two together. I even read the novel and didn’t question why the fl and ml had different colored hair :blobsob::blobsob:
