Anyone else get embarrassed when the MC does something embarrassing?

I don't.

For me, it feels natural for an MC to get humiliated in a story. It gives the chance for the author to make an easy way to make the MC learn and grow.

Unless they don't do it which lowers my enjoyment. Even then I will still read the story.

It’s easier for me to ignore when it’s in novel format, but when it’s tv shows or movies, I have to stop watching. It’s just too unbearable…

 

Yes I've done that too. and not because of embarrassment but because of annoyance

 

I get second-hand embarrassment when it comes to the leads doing Public-Display-of-Affection without proper regards to Occassion-Time-Place or when the author humiliated them in a way that is super not appropriate to public. I have some that I was able to continue but there are also works that had been buried in my browser's favorite tab for years.
