I'm a girl and I think it's alright as long as it's fiction Also, I prefer a non-true harem. (Then again, is that even harem >.>) Of course, the plot should be interesting enough as well.
I'm a man, and detest harems as much as is considered possible for a human to express their will with words and emotions. That is to say, my annoyance towards them has an upper limit, but it's normally quite hard to reach that limit... normally. I've seen harems destroy otherwise beautifully written stories and characters simply because they didn't mesh with the plot, or the characters themselves. And in the rare case where the Harem is written without destroying everything around it, and even rarer when it isn't a fifteen year old's fantasy about how romance should be like, I simply don't like it. That is not to say that I think a perfectly written Harem wouldn't be fun to read about, but so far I've yet to see one manage such a feat and my expectations for one ever accomplishing it fall ever lower with each garbage I accidentally read and not notice it has Harem in it. And it's never, "Harem is a part of the story", it's always "The story is a part of the Harem.".
the non true harem hmm imo that the most thing current media have~ just throw random girl with hint somehow interest toward mc then done it~ it fun to see such thing as flavor on story or as comedy~
