Since a lot of novels in this genre have the same cliche wasn't expecting too much. Is it worth the read? Depends. There's a lot of politics and power. The female lead is independent and is quite powerful too, the feelings development existed incase the writer had a writer's block or that's how it felt mostly because how it was shoved into the novel most times. One thing that was acceptable was that tried to be cautious of the relationship they had. If you start reading backing out will be tough. Once again a lil family drama sells it. Spoiler: spoilers-ish? So Lena's mother is supposedly wither the hidden child or just another princess of Inara after falling in love with a knight she leaves home and that's how lena was born. Which is to say she is a royal herself but this was questioned by her so that's.... Overall, personally, good read
I did finish the story in 2 days. It is better than expected for me since it is such a cliché. No wonder it got a very high rating in ridi. Ml fell for the FL first (and early.) Fl had been badly treated all her life so she was trying really hard to be her best at her job while the ML gave her special treatment. Spoiler: Spoiler FL's mother was supposed to be killed by her knight because she was twin of the empress. She had less divine power. She was not killed. Lena's father was the knight. Lena had OP divine power so the duke's curse didnt affect her.

Any spoilers a kind hearted soul knows about and is ready to share? I have a few questions: Why is the duke cursed? Did his ancestors do something? Why is the FL immune against the curse? Is there any major time skip? How does it end? Are their side stories (of any important side characters)?
Spoiler: It’s a story with lot of background details. So I’ll tell them only the main ones 1. The duke was cursed by the duke santella’s family. They are the villain. The past seven generations have gathered a curse and put it in a stone. And when both duke’s family pledge their allegiance to the queen (when ML was 7) the santella head sneakily put the stone near ML and transferred the curse to him (its a big story. I’ll post why they put the curse on ML in the next spoiler) 2. She has the queen’s power. As said in the previous spoiler the queen had a secret twin which was not known when she became an adult the pervious wanted to kill her but her escort knight Raphael saved her but died. 3. There is no major time skip only at the side story after their marriage. their children are born. 4. Yeah. It talks about lot of side characters after the climax of the story. Sid and Abbott (stable keeper boy) got married (for people who don’t know, Sid is a girl. Even the male lead got jealous of Sid once when Lena hugged Sid). The butler started dating another maid in the ML’s house. The neighbouring country’s prince married Liddell. Lian (Liddell’s brother also got married) everyone had their own chapter talking about their life after the incident. Spoiler kahel is a cutie when falls in love. He was happy when finally who doesn’t respond to his curse is his side but he gets closer to her slowly and he often wonders Lena is cute like a rabbit. Kahel never knew about romantic feelings. So it takes a lot of time for them to confess to each other. But the confession moment was embarrassing (really, believe me) Lena knows nothing about men and women relationship. So when kahel kissed her on the forehead (he isn’t aware of his feelings yet he just did it because he felt like he wanted to), she thought it was meant to be a compliment from master to servant. Kahel often drinks tea with her and eats with her and when she refused he used to say, the master’s order should be prioritised. Kahel once took her to his territory- Terra Luave where his sick mother lives and his father is accompanying them. Everyone is surprised to find kahel having a personal maid Lena eventually finds about his curse. She feels sorry for him and is determined to work hard for him. The maid that told Lena about kahel’s curse got close to Lena during the stay and told a lots of smut stories to her. And Lena dreams of kahel kissing her cheeks, nose and lips (also with tongue) and is scared that the curse is taking a effect on her (she dosn’t know it is love because the only kiss she has ever seen was when she was in baron fidelia when Elliot was kissed by her mother on cheek when praising elliot) and tries to avoid him and not to let him know about the ‘effect’ of the curse or else she won’t be his maid anymore. But kahel knew that Lena found out about his curse before they depart to his mansion in the capital. so he tries to avoid her to not scare but it hurts her a lot. But he still like to show off to her. So, he once took her to the weaponry in his mansion. There, a tired man of the weaponry got possessed by the demonic curse and drools and calls kahel to die together and lena is petrified in fear. Kahel shakes her shoulder to make her come to her sense but the man gets angry as he saw kahel touching lena and swings his sword at lena and kahel stuns him and he faints. Lena is scared she will become like the man and hurt kahel and tries her best to not to show it outside but kahel misunderstands that she is scared of being with him after the incident and gives her minimal job and tries to avoids her. Lena is on full stalker mode is planning to observe him for a week to learn his schedule to ‘accidentally’ bump him which fails miserably and she starts crying and Sid finds lena on the stairs crying. ( kahel brought Sid and her father theo and gave them a job at his mansion) and Lena explains the situation. Sid is sure that this is love but also knows kahel was the first one to make a move on her (kissing lena’s forehead) so Sid lies that the curse effect will go away if she meets other men an arranges a date for her (Sid believed that the relationship between lena a commoner maid and kahel the duke will not work and will only hurt lena) lena can’t stand after she met with the man. He was one of the knights of the kahel. Kahel witnesses this and is jealous. Kahel was also jealous of Sid until he found Sid and Abbott ( stable keeper boy) kissing in the stable and thinks Sid is gay. But soon finds out Sid is a woman. Spoiler: Huge spoilers As per the history mentioned in the story, there were two strong beasts fighting against each other to death. The white winged beast and black winged beast. The two beasts fighting caused a lot of damage to the humans and they prayed to god to help them and the representative of god, the queen came to control them and created logos 2000 years ago. Liddell her father are the main villains. The queen has the power to make anyone obey her. Everyone will like her from the first time they meet her.it is like the effect of the power. Long years back(like 700 to 800 years), santella family that mainly focuses on arts and culture found a prophecy written by a famous prophet about how one of guardian family will come to rule over logos after 2000years of logos establishment and they wanted to make sure it was santella and has been planning since centuries ago. They can’t do treason as they can’t break the respect they feel to the queen. So, they have using magic to dilute their link with queen little by little and then Liddell was born. When she first met the queen she was supposed to like the queen, but Liddell didn’t feel anything. When her father knew this, he felt it was time to make Liddell the queen of logos. Queen rules the land, so there is no king ( only archduke -the queen's husband) . Every queen will have a daughter inheriting their powers and they will inherit the throne in future. The present queen’s power is so low and probably disappearing. And santella family knows this and is using all kinds of ways to make Liddell queen. and destroy the Duke Luave’s family. so they put a curse on kahel to make him feel like a demon. They uses every means to paint kahel as a demon and them as angels to the public. Santella family takes control of the temple and revises the ancient scriptures every time to their advantage like changing the 'black winged beast' and 'white winged beast' to 'demons' and 'angels' and adding a small sentence how a new force will rule the logos for eternity. They also got together with black magician to release demons every winter in a territory of kahel. Kahel suspected santella head but couldn’t do anything without any evidence. They also sneakily sent a wine with a magic potion that will mutate the entire body of kahel to look like a monster through Lena’s friend. kahel and Liddell both search for lena’s history while he wants to her real family, Liddell wants to know why she doesn’t respond to kahel’ s power and both people have their findings. But at the public for the successor a man reveals the queen’s twin’s existence both born with low power.and usually only one daughter will be born the previous queen hid the twin but the present queen’s powers were low but the twin’s power were high and the previous queen planned to kill the twin because she thought if she killed the twin the power will come to the other daughter, but the present queen felt guilty and told about the plan to the escort knight. And they escape and the man also tells about her features silver hair and purple eyes. Which was exactly Lena’s’ mother’s features.
