Discussion ( -_-) Things you hate about your house/neighbourhood

I live near the air base hence chopper noises are common
I also live next to the main road hence car go whoosh with sprinkles of *beeeeeep* and *crash*
recently there's thunder too
and lots of lizard noises
upstairs pipe go creak too
other than that it's pretty decent to me

 

Drug dealing stabbing and other illegal stuff that happens here like the prostitution house

 

I used to live near a busy road and I thought that was annoying, but this is on a whole another level.

Well, now I live is a really quiet neighborhood and it's the loveliest, quiet and calm with lots of trees around so I hear birds chirping every morning. Actually I'm hearing them right now. This is the life. Yes I'm bragging.

 

I had the same Problem. I got a stuffed owl and put a speaker with owl noises to play and the problem was gone. they have one they even turns it's head and moves perfect to keep birds away. . I have some trees near by and I bolted an owl next to those 2 and now I'm bird free.

my neighbor has chickens we live in the suburban/city area and his chickens like to roam over into my yard and back yard idk how they get over the fence. I called anonymously and they fined him $500 and took his chickens too.

 

People in my place would love those pigeons, they will be shoot using air rifle and cooked later

 

Too many wild dogs.

 

my neighbourhood are nearby the govt air force.. pre-covid, I sometimes hear them training and flying those big fighter airplanes or jets. The sound kinda shake my house windows but nonetheless they are kinda cool to look at.

Now they are pretty quiet since no air travel or training happening.

 

That's not how laws work were i live, so you basically can't do anything unless a crime is being committed because is private property.
So I told my mom to put loud music in the morning since he most likely stay up all night he should sleep in the morning

 

noise pollution is sanctioned in almost any country where there are people live in group. don't know where you live, but here where i live you simply tell them politely to lower the sound, if they refuse or don't take the advice you can call the police and if he still insist of making noise in the night he will be sanctioned.

But i think your father should try just tell him to lower the sound when he is sober and not drunk and hope he isn't an ass....you will get a few day of peace at best if he listed, so i wish you good luck.

Irresponsible dog owners, the crazy people walking freely on the sidewalk, the fact that the swing were put away at the the park so no more swinging and lastly stray cats taking over my porch after I fed them once.
