Resolved Need help translating this Chinese sentence

    这二十多年来，她好象就没有享过几天福。

    Context: Mother complaining about her long lost daughter's unfortunate life. She found her daughter who had been adopted by a poor family.

    So how would you translate this? I went for: I bet she has never been able to experience more than a day of good fortune during the past twenty years.

    What do you think? Feedback and suggestions welcomed.

    I would’ve gone for: These past 20 plus years, she didn’t seem to have been able to experience more than a few days of good fortune.:hmm:
