Spoiler Yes, the father didn’t know she was bullied. Actually when she was a baby he sent his right hand (a knight) to go check on her. He didn’t go himself bc he is reaaally scared to lose her. He thinks that if he approaches her she will disappear like her mother. Later he is sent to subjugate monsters and of course his right hand too. So the people in charge to makes report to him lied, and embezzled the money that was for her. They even lied that they celebrated together her birthday, and that she has dresses and everything. Of course I cant say this is not his fault since the staff thought he didn’t love or care for her bc he never showed ANY interest. But then again, he really regretted his actions and became a fool for his daughter. I love that she notice his little changes in his stoic face haha just like her mother. Oh! Also, the bad staff were the ones that filled the gap the old staff left when the quit. When I say old staff were the ines that worked there when the duchess was alive. They felt uncomfortable when the duchess died bc the environment in the duchy changed, since the duke went almost crazy for losing his wife. After the duke discovered everything that was happening to his daughter I don’t know if the killed the staff? But anyway, a lot of the old staff returned, and our baby started to be treated as a real princess.
That's dumb. The reason for not being there is dumb. The servants abusing her is dumb and makes no sense. The abuse was just washed over like that.
