    I’ve recently been enjoying sports novels where the MC is an athlete or participates in sporting events.

    Novels like:
    - An Athlete Held up by an Entertainment Career
    - I Became A Big Star After I Quit The Entertainment Industry
    - Sword Edge

    Can be BL, BG or no romance at all, as long as there is a focus on the MC’s sporting career.

    Can also recommend novels to MTL.

    And remember, sports not e-sports!

    Almighty Coach.
    The focus of the story is MC training others but MC joins sometimes. Wouldn't recommend tho.

    I second this rec! If you mtl it, the title is Figure Skating is more suitable for me to participte in the olympics. Story is that the protagonist is transmigrated into the pst and was convinced by his uncle (who is an ice-skating coach) to participate in figure skating.

    Kaze ga Tsuyoku Fuiteiru - Rag teag team of College Students train themselves to participate in Japan's most prestigious collegiate relay marathon spaning 200 km from Tokyo to Hakone and back. Consequence is they get kicked out of the dorm.
