No it makes me think, it might do good to spark a fight, discussions, and opening up leading to an explosive snu snu we the anxious frustrowed at. I love these last chapters in Book 1! I had a lump in my throat the entire time. We need POV from all these gents flirting with Maxi and of course POV from Riftan’s sexual frustrations and jealousy! Hahahaha
Sharing more on the Maxi/Riftan farewell scene from book2 Spoiler: Farewell before the Second War Extended version She couldn't finish her words when he grabbed her and dragged her to the back of the barracks. Max held her breath. Riftan pushed her behind a rock, lifted her up and kissed her fiercely.Tears were dripping into their lips. Riftan clasped her head with his strong hands. Trapped in a cold wall and his strong body, she trembled faintly. Riftan let out in a low voice as he took a rough breath over her lips. "Swear to me..." he whispered sternly. "Swear here and now that you will never do anything reckless, that at any moment your safety will come first." Max nodded with tears in her eyes. Riftan bit her lip "in words, say it now that you will never throw your life away." "I... I swear". She let out a small weeping against his lips. Riftan hugged her tightely crushing her body. She hugged him too with all her strength. A trembling breath ran down her neck. She can feel the stabbing fear in his rigid body. She clings desperately to his neck like a drowning man. She wants him more than ever. She didn't want to be apart from him. Maxi who's been sobbing as she rubs her cheeks against his hair hurriedly found his lips and softly kissed him. Riftan gripped one of cheeks with a leather gloved hand and trust his tongue deep in her mouth. A weaping with sobs mingled between exchanged breaths. He kissed her on the cheeks and murmured something. It was so hoarse and low that its hard to understand, but she thought he must be saying not to cry. She nodded and watched the sun rise from his shoulders. From afar the shouts of the Knights are heard telling everyone to hurry and prepare for departure. Riftan murmured as he held her tightly. "i must go now..." She nodded as she pressed her forehead on his shoulders. Riftan wouldn't let go of her either. After hearing the voices of the Knights a few more times, Max finally released her arms thats wrapped around his neck. Only God knows how difficult it was to do so. Riftan lowered her to the ground then slowly stepped back. He looked at her with intense eyes, he closed his eyes tightly then turned around. Max watched his dark hair gleaming bluish in the sunlight. She felt as if her heart is being crushed everytime he moved a little further away. Max wiped her cheeks with her sleeves. Has her feelings been conveyed to him clearly. Suddenly it seems to her that she didn't say a single important word because shes been crying like a fool.

Things I want to say about Ruth. 1 Ruth brags about his magic abilities, yet always acts overworked and under appreciated, he complains constantly. So Riftan threatens him with his life. But then Riftan is like that with all his men. I think it's a 'guy thing'. 2 Ruth is often able to state the obvious out loud when no one else can see it. He is an astute observer of human nature. He can say just what is needed to defuse a situation. 3 I think he really likes and adores Maxi- as a diligent student, friend, confidant and co-worker. Maxi is comfortable with Ruth, they can argue like crazy, he gives her back-handed compliments, which enrages her, they are just so CUTE sometimes. 4 He was a very high level wizard at Nornui. I would like to know why he decided to leave and how he managed to get off the island. Stowaway on a supply boat??? 5 He has been with Riftan for maybe 15 years?? They have saved each others lives. Riftan had depended on Ruth to keep his sanity. @Charlesberlenka1 - Ruth needed Riftan's strength as protection. They understand each other very well. 6 Ruth is like a comic relief character in a movie. He pops in and out of the plot, a flash of magic here, a sarcastic comment there and occasionally very wise advice. He may save the day or cause trouble - you never know which it will be. In short I love Ruth's character in the books. He is both weak and strong, very rude and yet kind, older than he looks but can be childish. He just cracks me up!

This is chapters 89 to 90. Yes this is after she came back from the tower. Everything that happened in book 2 is after the tower. Actually, The first few chapters talks about her life inside the tower, then i think from chapters 10 onwards shes already out 88 - this is when Riftan asked her if shes seen something dropped from his cloak. (he's looking for the sword ornament) this is also when he opened up about being hurt when she left him 89 - max gave him the hand made sword ornament. She told him she will make him another one, much better than the one she just made, and another one if it breaks. 90 - they said their goodbyes, riftan left with his small team to go to the cave and control the wyverns
I kinda remembered the sword ornament part happened after Kuahel put Maxi into sleep? Like it’s after when Riftan and Maxi are separated into two small teams to investigate the monster city, and Riftan didn’t say anything to Maxi before they split up, so Maxi ran to Riftan and hugged him to say goodbye. She asked Riftan to not be reckless lol. But then Riftan’s team didn’t come back in time, Maxi decided to sneakily go find them herself (since Kuahel disagrees to go search the missing team), and then she got caught by Ruth/Kuahel, and she was put into sleep by Kuahel..

Her reason; She doesn't want to be discarded by Riftan. - They received information that Princess Agnes will come for a visit. She'll be staying in Anatol for a while, and Maxi, as the lady of the castle, is responsible for preparing for their stay; rooms, food, etc. - Princess Agnes arrives and meets Maxi. Our FL will be jealous because Riftan will become busier when Agnes arrives and will be spending more time with her than Maxi. Reasoning: Riftan doesn't really want Maxi to hang out with Agnes because Agnes can be manipulative, and he doesn't want Maxi to be one of her victims. - One day, Agnes and Riftan went to Anatorium Forest to hunt for Wyverns, and it went badly; Anatol was damaged, so Maxi went there to help heal the civilians without Ruth's help (He joined the hunt). - She used up all her mana and collapsed. She woke up with Riftan pampering her (sweetest chapter ever). Agnes told Maxi why she visited Anatol; to check what Riftan was doing because of the King's order; The King wanted to check how loyal Riftan was to him. Agnes complimented Maxi about her healing powers and suggested that she go to the Wizard World's tower. Agnes then went back to the Capitol. - After that, they got a letter saying that an army of trolls were attacking Livadon and the "Allies" have been called. - Maxi was worried that Riftan would go, but instead, Ruth, Elliot, Lombardo, and Uslin went to Livadon with other knights. - Maxi started to learn to heal again, Riftan got angry, and they had their first big fight; I think I already posted about that chapter. - They got a decree saying that the Allied Knights have been defeated and the battle in Livadon was still ongoing. The Remdragon Knights were fighting on the frontlines and got trapped inside Louisbell Castle with an army of trolls surrounding them. They needed help pronto. The remaining Remdragon knights in Anatol were ready to save their comrades but can't depart without a healer. Maxi wanted to join them as a healer, but ofc Riftan firmly refused. She talked to Hebaron instead about convincing Riftan. All the knights tried to help her, and Riftan reluctantly agreed, still against it. - Maxi joined the expedition to Livadon. Riftan gave her the cold shoulder throughout the journey because he was still mad at her. - Many things happened, Maxi got lost after being attacked by goblins, Riftan looked for her, etc. - After they arrived in Levan, Livadon's Capitol, Riftan left Maxi in a monastery. The rest of the knights departed to Louisbell Castle the same day to save their comrades and recapture the castle. - Maxi got to know 2 people, one of which was Ishilda. They got news about how the war was going and how it can be prolonged, advising them to return to their homes as the capital's living situation can be ugly. Worried about their loved ones, Maxi and Ishilda joined the rear unit secretly dressed up as priestesses. - Many things happened; Maxi was actually doing pretty well, not being caught by other knights and staying alive. She also healed the wounded. Mind you, these are "allies," so not only Remdragon knights were here but also the Holy Father knights, and etc. - Maxi heard that the knights successfully saved Ruth and the others. They are now staying at Etylene to prepare for the war against an army of trolls, the dead and a necromancer. Maxi reunited with Ruth, making him an unwilling accomplice. They were on their way to Etylene castle, where their base is located. - After a while, Maxi got found out by Riftan and was angry at the turn of events. (I posted a chapter about this) She stayed with them the base, and there she met Richt for the first time. - The war started, the Elite knights with Riftan went to the woods to trap the trolls, leaving Maxi, 20 wizards, the wounded, and some knights behind Etylene castle. - Suddenly, all the monsters attacked the castle; Maxi tried to heal the wounded, on the verge of mana depletion again. Yurixion and Garow drag Maxi out of the castle by Ruth's order. She was reluctant because she didn't want to leave Ruth and Ishilda behind. - Maxi saw a cliff full of rocks and broke the rock formation with her remaining mana leading to a rockslide. Because of this, a lot of the enemies died. She was already on the verge of collapsing, Yurixion noticed she was bleeding heavily and was in panic mode. They ran for help and found Kuahel, the Holy Father Knights' leader, and managed to save her. - Maxi woke up after a week. Everybody was sad whenever they talked to her but greatly appreciated what she has done because she saved their lives. Riftan was cold, didn't really talk to her much, and told her to go to the Capitol with Agnes. - Maxi went to the Capitol with Agnes, Uslin, and Elliot and recuperated there. Her Father came, got mad at her, and told her about her miscarriage. She was in shock, ran away from the room, and asked Uslin if what her Father was saying was true. They told her that Riftan didn't want to let her know because she was already severely injured. In shock, she followed her Father back to Croix Castle by this news. - She was in a depressed state, didn't eat, etc. Then she heard that Riftan was in the castle, but her father refused to let them meet, he got angry, and the beating chapter began. - Riftan witnessed the whole thing and was in rage mode. Riftan brought her back to Anatol after beating the shit out of the duke. They had a deep talk. And he got overprotective again. Maxi heard from Ruth that Riftan declared a war against the duke of Croix. - Rosetta and Agnes came to Anatol after a while to stop Riftan and ask him to withdraw his declaration of war because the King is not happy. He reluctantly agreed as he owes Rosetta a favor. (Rosetta was the one who drugged the security so that Riftan can meet Maxi but instead witnessed the beating) - This crisis is still not done though, the duke is persistent, so they went for a trial; Hebaron asked Maxi to stand as a witness against the duke. If Riftan loses this, he will lose his title, and Anatol and Maxi didn't want that to happen, so she agreed. Riftan disagreed on bringing Maxi to the Capitol again for the trial because he doesn't want her to meet her Father. The trial went on for days. There was no hope for Riftan even though the King was on his side because of other nobles' power, so Agnes came up with a plan. - The plan was that the duke can't touch either Riftan or Maxi again if Maxi went to the World's Tower to become one of their wizards; because they will protect one of their magicians. Ofc, Maxi wants to protect Riftan, so she agreed to become one of their members, but to be a wizard officially, she needed to stay in Nornui for 3 years. Riftan was in a rage when he found out about their plan (The duke backed out of the trial after hearing this) and told Agnes that she was forbidden to set foot of Anatol. - Maxi and Riftan got into a huge argument, Riftan didn't care if he lost his title and land as long as he has Maxi, but Maxi didn't want that. She meant that Riftan worked hard for his life to be like this, and she didn't want him to lose all of it because of her. - Riftan gave up, didn't talk to her, and Maxi left for the tower. She was escorted by the knights. Hebaron felt guilty he asked her to stand as a witness in the trial, and Uslin apologized about his behavior to her, and that was the end of Book 1. Spoiler: BOOK2_SUMMARY - Took place after 2-and-a-half-year Maxi left. It started with Riftan going to the Capitol to meet the king and attending Rosetta's baby's birthday. - Maxi, still in the tower, tries to win a competition because she wants to go back to Anatol earlier than discussed. She's one of the most competent students, and her magic is related to earth. - Calto Serbel (notice the last name, he's a relative of?), a known wizard, formed an expedition to Pamela Plateau to investigate remnants of black magic. Maxi was one of the chosen members, the reward for completing the mission: guess what, going home early. - The chosen wizards and Maxi went to Anatol first to wait for the Knights of the Holy Father to accompany them. (I posted a chapter about the reunion) That's when Maxi heard from Uslin that Riftan will take the title of a Count soon after their mission in Livadon. And Maxi's father can't harm them no longer as Riftan is getting stronger politically wise. - Ofc, after hearing that Maxi is going to Pamela Plateau again, Uslin got mad. However, he can't do anything about it because Maxi was still not officially "out" from the tower yet and is doing duty. "The Wizards of the World Tower must follow the World Tower laws. There's no exception to royalty, not aristocrats. She's a member of us, and she's sworn to obey our laws. If you're going to force her to stay here, you're going to force the Wizard of the World Tower into custody." – Calto - Uslin taught her self-defense instead, and Yurixion sent a message to Riftan about Maxi's arrival and mission. When the Holy Father's Knights arrived, Uslin tried to convince them to let Maxi bring some Remdragon Knights, but Kuahel refused, saying it was not needed. They made a deal; Maxi brings Yurixion to accompany her, and they also get some food, horses, and materials required for their expedition. Kuahel agreed. - On their way to a village, they were attacked by the dead and were losing. The Remdragon knights came and helped them, and Riftan discussed with Kuahel telling him they will accompany them to the following location. - When they arrived there, Riftan got a message from Sejour Aren about what he discovered in Etylene (where the war was previously in Book 1). He tried to convince Calto and Kuahel that Remdragon will also accompany them to Pamela Plateau, as they need to investigate the area as well for more information; if not, he will inform the Seven Kingdoms and the council that the Knights of the Holy Father has hidden vital information about the previous war; they found a strategic map of the allies. - Calto and Kuahel had no choice but to agree with his demands. After a long journey, they arrived in Pamela Plateau, went inside the cave to investigate, and were suddenly attacked by Golems. Maxi fell off a cliff with Riftan trying to save her. They were stuck in a cave for a while. - After their rest, they went out to find the others and accidentally found the "base" of the enemy. They eventually reunited with the group and informed them what they have discovered. (the dice chapter happened here where they played a game, and the one who lost will accompany the scouting teams) - Of course, Maxi lost, the scouting team was divided into two groups; to investigate two different enemy's base locations. - Maxi and Riftan were in different teams, they agreed to meet in their meeting place after two days, the first to arrive was Maxi's team. Riftan's team still hasn't arrived after two more days, and Maxi got dead worried. She tried to secretly go after Riftan but was caught by Ruth and Kuahel. - Many things happened, and they finally found Riftan and his team in a cave, very severely injured. Maxi got into a fight with Riftan because she was worried about him etc. - They went back to Etylene castle (which was now thriving after the war) and rested there. They were waiting for the "Allies" to assemble and start another war after telling the council what they have found. - Riftan didn't want Maxi to come (I posted a chapter about this), but Maxi didn't listen to him. She was then assigned to lead the Rear Unit. - The plan was for Riftan to secretly infiltrate the enemy's base and control the wyverns they found inside before. Maxi and Riftan had a heart-to-heart talk before taking his plan into action. - Well, everyone thought Riftan failed because they haven't heard anything from him, so they started attacking the enemy's gates. There were a LOT of casualties, no Remdragon knights died, but one; Garow, badly lost his eyesight on the Right (or left eye). After while they saw wyverns flying up and attacking the goblins and trolls inside the castle (Riftan succeeded) - Riftan and Maxi reunited, they went back to Etylene castle to rest and finally will share a room. yes.. that was the end of book 2 as of now.. still updating, though. @Alessiavie thank you too for appreciating. I know how frustrating it is to get invested in a book that you cant read entirely because of so many reasons. Its like an itch that cant be scratched. Even when i get to have access to the original version, its still frustrating to read it using Google translate. Somehow it doesn't capture the depth of the characters emotion if the right words are not used. So i make efforts in translating them, then read it myself. Only after that do i feel satisfied. Its nice to share it with you guys who are as passionate.

@GED You mean the cave scene? Spoiler: INSIDE THE CAVE 1 Max tried with all her strength to control the mana that ran wild. It was only when they almost hit the ground that their bodies floated up. Without missing a beat, RIftan hooked up the wall again and landed on the floor agilely. But there was no time to relax. This time the snow fell on them. Max immediately created a barrier. Darkness surrounded them followed by a heavy impact sound. Max couldn’t feel anything for a while. She wondered if she had fallen and died. Her eardrums were so stuffed that she couldn’t even hear her own breath. She could feel Riftan slowly raising himself up, as she had been hanging from his neck, half-numbed from the impact. Riftan crawls through the icy snow and pulled her out. Max spit out a saliva, removing the snow from her nose and mouth, then brushing her hair away from her eyes. The ferocious blizzard continues to scrape their faces. Max looked at Riftan with a bluish face. Riftan clasped her in one arm and looked up from the rock they had fallen on. She had no idea how high they had fallen; their current location is not recognizable. RIftan who was looking up with a stiff face quickly grabbed her and started to walk out in stride through the snow. Max strained her frozen jaws and realized he was looking for a shelter from the blizzard. “my, my, I…. I can make a barrier.. from the wind” “keep your mouth shut” He exhaled harshly and walked faster. She tried one more suggestion, but realized she was running out of magic and shut her mouth again. She’s worried they will get lost their way before they find a place to escape the blizzard. She rolled her eyes nervously and looked around. She couldn’t feel any heat from the mana stone of fire she had placed in her chest. Perhaps when the magic was sucked into the magic formula, the magic stone’s magic was drained out. She threw away the useless mana stone and shrugged her shoulders. As if Riftan was trying to block the wind, he wrapped his cloak tightly around her and looked around non-stop. After moving so far, Riftan miraculously found a fissure between the rocks. He had her sit down and looked inside for a moment before asking her to come in. Max bent her knees and crawled into the cave. The entrance was narrow enough to only get in by bending over, but the inside was surprisinglyl spacious. Max slumped to the floor and let out a long sigh of relief. Jyst being able to avoid the wind made the gloomy cave feel like a palace. “Are you hurt anywhere?” Riftn leaned against the wall of the cave to catch his breath for a moment, then looked at her and asked. Max shook her head blankly. “I… I don’t know” She thought she might have had bruises here and there because of rolling, falling and bumping, and now her body was tingling and she shouldn’t feel a thing. He asked in a harsh tone as he fumbled around her body over the coat, as if trying to make sure there was no broken parts. “Magic depletion?” “I’m fine… I used almost all my… my accumulated magical power, but I’m not drained” She said grating her teeth in the chill that had penetrated her to the bones. Riftan took off his gloves and touched her frozen face bringing his brows together. “Are there any Fire mana stones left?” “In the bag…” She fumbled to make sure the bag was properly attached. Even in the midst of the uproar, the leather bag still hung from her waist. Riftan untied it from her waist and rummaged inside. Packs of herbs and food, bundles of parchment paper, and pouches of various magic stones poured out. She took out the Fire mana stone from inside, laid it down on the floor and injected some magical energy into it. Then a light flashed in the darkness, and a flame the size of a bonfire began to burn. She sat close to the fire, but it was not enough to thaw her frozen body. She moaned and stretched out her hands ready to throw it into the fire. Riftan grabbed her arm. “You’ll burn yourself” “It’s cold, It’s cold…” She looked at him pleadingly. Riftan’s face contorted faintly. He put his hand under her robe, caressing the ice-cold nape and spit out harsh words Max quivered as she watched him hurriedly take off his cloak and armor and pile it up on the side of the cave. Riftan, who had all disarmed in an instant took off his thick overcoat and wool tunic and laid it out by the fire. Max starred from afar at his stout upper body, gleaming copper in the light. He looked ike a madman throwing his clothes off in this terrible cold. He took off his boots and nodded to her. “Take off your shoes” “I… I, no” Max groaned and grabbed the robe tightly. Riftan tugged at the hem of her robe relentlessly. “Your clothes are all wet from going through the snow. The longer you wear it, the faster you lose body temperature. Come on, take it off” She looked up at him with disbelief. Even though she knew he couldn’t do anything that would harm her, she couldn’t even dare to take off her clothes. As she stood still, Riftan pulled her over his lap, removed her damp boots, tugged at her wet robes, and mercilessly threw her into the corner of the cave. Then he unbuttoned her coat and put his hand inside it. Spoiler: INSIDE THE CAVE 2 She shivers at the touch of the cool fingers. Riftan removed her belt, sat her down on the floor and shoved his hand into the hem of her robe, stroking her cold skin. His fingers were cold but his palms and arms are hot as copper on fire. Max leaned close to his chest, moaning involuntarily at the warmth seeping from his body. Riftan pulled her wool tunic over her head. All that was left of her was two linnen chemises, leather pants lined with wool felt and thick leggings. Riftan shoved his hand inside her pants, making strange expressions, neither smiling nor grimacing. "... I wore a lot" Then he pulled her pants down in one go. Max gasp in surprise. He tumbled the clothes under her feet, hurled them over the pile together with his clothes and then rubbed her icy skin. His hot rough palms went back and forth non stop on her hips, thighs, and calves. Max blushed ferociously, deapite being naked in front of him countless times, she couldn't help but feel embarrassed and awkward. "Are you still cold?" He put her on his lap, hugged her tightly and asked in a slightly subdued voice. Max shook her head, resting her body on his chest. But contrary to the answer, her body was still rattling. As she continued to tremble, Riftan who had been rubbing her stiff back with his palmd let out a low moan and pulled her chemise up. Max unknowingly grabbed the hem of her shirt, but he relentlessly removed two layers of clothing over her head, then quickly picked up his tunic and laid it over her like a blanket. Then wrapped his arms around her waist so that their bare skin touches. Max felt the sensations all over her body come back to life. The warmth she felt from his smooth, hot skin seemed to seep into her bones and she could feel the blood rushing from her body to her toes. She moaned in relief. Other worries rushed into her head as her body melted, but she felt safe and satisfied at the moment. Max pressed her head against Riftan's shoulder and burried her face on his broad chest. Their bodies fit perfectly. Max caressed his warm, firm stomach and chest as she listens to the sound of the wind and the crackling of flames. Sweat trickled out of Riftan's body. She ran her fingers down the marble like pectoral muscles and touched his flat nipples. She vividly felt his manhood already hardened under her buttocks, swelled even more. He took a deep breath, then pulled her aside and took her hands away from his chest. "Don't touch me unnecessarily." Max blushed in embarrassment. "Riftan has been touching me around too... Uh.. Ass and belly... Legs and.. And feet.." "I'm afraid you'll get frostbite...!" Riftan who's been shouting nervously suddenly shut his mouth. Then he hit the back of his head agains the wall of the cave and began to mumble. At first glance it sounded like a prayer the knights sang while taking their oaths. She starred at him intently then placed her hand on his chest. "I.... I want to touch Riftan too" Her palms pressed his breast against his chest and Riftan's chin tightened.
