hello, I want to know what novel to read to be a professional reader like how to be an otaku you need to watch all of this anime , one piece, dragon ball, bleach and etc... you know what I mean but I want to know what novels do I read to be a pro reader or a veteran reader?

and if I offended anybody I'm sorry I really didn't mean to offend anybody.

I don't believe there is any. There's too many webnovels and it depends on whether they're from Japan, Korea or China. I haven't read any chinese web novels in 2 years and i have kinda moved away from webnovels in general. But these are the best i've read
    Chinese
    - Way of Choices
    - Coiling dragon, Nine cauldrons & Seeking the flying swords path
    - Warlock of the Magus World
    - I shall seal the Heavens and renegade immortal
    Korean
    - The second coming of gluttany
    - The Novels extra
    - I am the Monarch
    - Reincarnator
    Japan
I dont have any. I don't particularly like japanese webnovels.

Honestly, to be a 'pro reader', just read a bunch of novels. Both bad and good. Just read at your own pace.

:hmm:There's nothing called a pro reader (Or otaku for that matter) everyone has their own likes, so read whatever you feel like reading. But I kind of get where you're getting at, so if you do want to, read the top 2 most popular novels of each genre I guess.

No such thing as far as I'm concerned. But at least start reading or watching you've had an interest for a while but never got to try. Then, check out the popular ones, some of them are well-received for a reason. Then you just branch into other stuff that interested you. Before you know it, you've read a hundreds books!

personally, I haven't. It's mostly an inspiration to some novels but not that crucial imo.

Nope, especially for like, modern/historical novels and such, you don't need to know it. References will be explained in TL notes, if any (unlikely)

Kinda like how you don't have to read Shakespeare to read English novels.

Watching the movie/animation might be fun if you want to, though.
