I recently took liking for games.please recommend some free games to download at pc for free

 

Genshin Impact (cool animated characters, good storyline, fun things to do, co-op). Valorant (shooting game, co-op). Minecraft (build stuff). Roblox (play random games and simulators).

IDK for free ones & your PC spec, but as far as recommendations goes:
Fallout New Vegas (best story & quite possibly the best in-game collections of weapons of all FO series IMHO. Too bad Beth didn't import them to FO4)
Fallout 4 (best in-game buildings, mods & customization of the series)
Skyrim (try looking for the old non SE one if your PC can't handle it)
Assassin's Creed (any, except for the French Revolution one)

Unless what you're looking for are online ones. Those are free to download & play w/ lots of micro transactions

 

Final fantasy xiv is free up to lvl 60. Tons of content for free tbh, the game just exploded in popularity too

 

you can goto steam and browse the "what's being played" under the "free to play" game category. You can read the genre, tags, descriptions, and player reviews yourself to decide what games you want to play. Aside from that, there are some games that are offered on Epic Games for free every once in awhile. A good option if you don't mind spending a bit of money is keeping tabs on humble bundle.

I recently played Sniper Ghost warrior contracts 1& 2. The sniping there is so satisfying. Although 1 doesn't have many long range maps, with a max distance of 300-400m, any and all problems can be solved with the weapon of your choice. 2 on the other hand has well defined maps and sections where you are practically forced to use certain weapons. But damn, the long shot maps are awesome.
Another good game I will recommend is Blades of Shogun. It requires some serious planning, but the things you can pull off in that game! I remember killing 4-5 guys simultaneously using traps and covert kills, using 3 characters only. As a certain someone from A team said, "I love it when a plan comes together".

 

Dofus is pretty chill.
Also, make sure to stay far from League of Legends.

I wish someone would do an update knock-off/sequel for this.

The world was interesting & well implemented, & the style of game was fun (I'm already a major X-Universe fan).

 

Not updates/knock-off, but I've seen some of my friends played it on LAN w/ some interesting mods (ie: using old ships from Wing Commander series & Star Wars X-Wing). Not sure where they got it (the mods, I mean) but probably from nexusmods
So all in all, it's still interesting to play for LAN party

If you want FPS sandbox then try stalker anomaly. Its a standalone mod for the Stalker series that you can download for free. Do mind that the game is difficult and might require knowledge from the stalker games.

openttd (transport tycoon deluxe) would take more of your time
i think there were free versions/ clones of master of orion 2 too
that is if you can live with rather pixlated graphics upside hardware requirements wont be a thing

 

Depends on what type of games you enjoy and your PC specs. Lot of hardcore games require more high end graphics cards and processors.

But for newbies, you can try a bit of everything. Look up some popular MMO, RTS, FPS, MOBA games and then take a look at a bit of everything.
