Like Liss said there is a proposal Spoiler: Manhwa Chap 35 Basically beginning where chapter 34 was left the person who approaches her (more like caught up to her) was the Duke, he takes her to a theater to watch and Play and he was going to escort her back when she sees the CP or ML she tells the Duke that until here is enough for him to escoet her and he asks why and well she pretty much drags him and pushes him towards a tree trunk and tells him to be quiet he realize the crown prince is their at the gate (i think) and asks if he did something to her and when Sahara doesn't say anything. He thinks that CP actually did something to her. He asks again and she finally says that no, and then he asks why she is avoiding him and mentions she did the same back in the Ball and says if she can't like get him to stop approaching her that he can... she didn't let him finish and said that it isn't his business. He said he wanted like to get involve in her business and then her monologue of loyalty vs love. That she loves him but shouldn't that she could only have loyalty for him but still was caught it his brightness (I love that they make a reference to the "crow likes shinny things you know she being the crow and him being the shinny thing) and well after her inner monologue she tells him that "she doesn't like him, but she doesn't dislike him either". The duke understand her meaning(well i interpret that because of the facial expression in the drawing). He told her to choose him to grab his hand (i was like do it.... i wish I could ) and then he gets closer to her and tells her To Marry Him.... and then the chapter ends There is this talk also when they are walking and she asks how is his (cut the one she did) he says is okay and she was like how can you be okay i almost cut his arm off LOL
We know she is isn't going to end up with him but I hope she at least says yes, just so the news will go the CP. His reaction will be priceless.
to be honest I am also expecting the same thing. I wanna see him suffer, he was an asshole and for him to be redeemable he has to go to a mega trial

It's not "physical" protection she needs but legal. The Prince aggressively pursuing her is not something he can do if she is "married". This is why she ran away. She doesn't want to be an ordered "sex slave" to the CP (which hurts more since she cares for him) but knows she can't disobey his orders either as she has sworn absolute fealty towards the imperial family. At the same time, the CP would be forbidden from making such advances towards a married woman especially one married to a high-ranking noble like the Duke who is VERY powerful.

Does anyone know who ML's father is? At this point it's not clear, it wasn't clearly stated by the Emperor. The only reason for the rumors of ML being the son of the Duke were because he looks like him. But the Duke is ML's uncle, the emperor's brother. I could have been just that ML took features from one of his grandparents, same as the Duke who looks like his parents, or just one of them. Then maybe the Duke created these rumors (thanks to the fact that ML looks like him) to harm his brother and steal his wife, the Empress. It would all explain why the emperor still made ML the Crown Prince and has no intention of appointing the 2nd Prince instead. He doesn't even seem angry abt the rumors. Idk, from the way the Emperor talks abt the past, it seems like they were just rumors and he's sad these rumors caused troubles for his family, instead of being bothered by ML actually being born by the Empress with his brother. On the other hand, it could be that he feels guilty towards ML as he couldn't protect the Empress (the Duke might've raped the Empress) since it looked like she didn't like him. Plus maybe the emperor just loves ML as his son since he raised him. So does anyone have spoilers of who's ML's biological father?...cause both possibilities seem plausible.
I don’t know for the fact, but I remember that it was mentioned somewhere in the beginning chapters of manhwa that the Empress didn’t talk to the Emperor for several years after this scandal with the Duke and they hardly managed to save the marriage. So I would assume that the Emperor didn’t believe her in the beginning and this is why she was so offended that she didn’t want to talk to him, and maybe treating the CP well was kind of a price he had to pay to gain her affection back.
So far, It looks like that king wants to make ml the next king.So, King treats him better cause ml is currently the best fit to inherit throne as ml brother does not have the capability and will definitely lead the kingdom to ruins.Not to mention, It's not ml fault and he would still be his nephew.Also, King loves fmc and expects her to reign ml in. Is the Duke a half brother or step brother of the Emperor? Otherwise it wouldn’t make much sense to compare the Duke’s and ML’s appearances, they would have the same ancestors and it’s totally common for a kid to look like one of grandparents. The conclusion about an affair would only make sense if the CP’s silver hair is inherited from grandmother’s side who would be the previous Emperor’s mistress or second wife, gave birth to the Duke and is not the current Emperor’s biological mother.
