After such popular novels like I shall seal the heavens and a will eternal, I thought more people would be invested in his works.
Because it's nothing special, at least in my view. Ever since ISSTH, Er Gen's novels lost their spirit. Whether it's Renegade Immortal, Pursuit of The Truth or I Shall Seal The Heavens, they were all special in that they had protagonists with an admirable dogged sense of perseverance and belief, willing to go to the extremes for their goals and become true devils. But I've seen nothing of that in A Will Eternal and A World Worth Protecting.
I always find I lose interest in his books before the end. Also I found they are really similar to each other. I thought the new book had a pacifist MC? Could be wrong.
Haven’t heard of it yet but will check it out now. I have faith it will be good and will give it a decent chance since even ISSTH took a while to get good.
I guess cuz it had the reused fatty mc with a very predictable cultivation + modern setting? Dunno but i alsp dropped it after 20-30 chaps.
As someone who read all Er Gen's novels and who talks with other readers a lot, I can say that AWWP quality is debatable. The general consensus is that Renegade Immortal and Pursuit of the Truth were great, ISSTH is considered to be lower than these 2 and AWE is lower that ISSTH. As for AWWP, I know people who claim that now it is great, however, it gets good only after the 1k chapter mark. Furthermore, in order for it to be good, you must have read all other Er Gen's novels first.
Cause it's not as good as his other novels and also because it's on Webnovel. Cultivation novels rarely get love on Webnovel. Even TJSS's new novels aren't on Webnovel, as per the last time I checked.
I'm now kind of a fan of the author of Keyboard Immortal. I'm currently reading another novel writing by him.
