hello, i'm looking for a novel where the MC reincarnates into a animal/monster but it doesn't end becoming the pet of someone else.
Goblin Kingdom Green Skin Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka? Overlord (LN) Overlord (WN) Skeleton Knight, in Another World Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken (LN) Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken (WN)
https://www.novelupdates.com/viewlist/10686/ Huge list. Reading ir right now. To resume this novel, it try to touch multiple genres, plus the MC has a system, as follow: 1 - start as animal planet little predators. 2 - snake (python) documentary. 3 - overdeveloped animal in animal kingdom 4 - Mythological oversize snake bloodline changed animal planet on sea. 5 - Mutated oversized animals in sea invasion. 6 - Prehystoric sea animals in sea invasion. 7 - Dinossaurs invasion. 8 - Kaiju invasion. 9 - Alien invasion 10 - World travel through space channel. 11 - new world and super human (barely explained) society 12 - Elder evil god threat (Cthulu’s style). 13 - Hostile space empire saga (i’m on it now) And on and on and on… MC eat, MC gain bio-points, MC evolve with bio-points and became bigger with with purchaseable skills through points he gain per evolution and other ways. Novel is wrote by a very nationalist chinese guy, EUA is displayed as a arrogant and somewhat incompetent country (he’s right in the arrogant part), Japan as buffons (pure xenophoby), Europe aren’t even displayed through it’s countries, Africa is choose to bear all the tragedy of the world (because it’s a poor country) and Chinese government is the epitome of competence and world savior (what a surprise…). Novel is 5 of 5 until stage 4, stage 5 to to 7 i rate 4.5 of 5, stage 8 to 10 i rate 4 of 5, stage 11 i rate 2 of 5, stage 12 forward is 3.5 of 5 atm.
Wow, pretty in-depth. Would take me a while to write such a long post xD I'd say just suspend your disbelief for the entire thing. It's one of the softest sci-fi novels I've ever seen (silicon-based organisms have blue blood for some reason), and the world is not explained very well. As for the nationalism, it's a comparatively small slice of the story overall, and don't bite me, but I don't think it's too big of a deal...just pretend they aren't really referencing real countries. After all, all of them are dissolved soon later. (Country politics is relevant for what, 50 chapters?) Basically, just a grinding novel. Turtle and squirrel best characters.
Just an update, in Tales of the world devouring serpent, when it enter it space phase saga, the novel turn itself into a copy paste xianxia. Civilizations are factions or sects, ppl lost their individuality and everyone is a fanatic nationalist of their own civilization, technologic development of a civilizations is the level of power of that faction, spaceship model is the “cultivation level” of the ship’s captain and young master sh1t start to spread everywhere. For that phase of the novel, i rate 2.5 of 5. I’m only keeping the read to finish now, as i already advanced pretty far in the novel.
