Gawd - the rest of this volume is so dang funny! Spoiler: Vol 5: Part XI -- The emperor is really happy. He talks about young love as he’s excited for Prince Gusteau. Rampton tells him he may need to reign in his happiness with the Temple Priests. Edgar things they need to get over themselves but for political sake he will be political. Though he does tell them he wants to seal the marriage of the Saint to the Crown Prince immediately. --- Selma, Yeri, and Valia are having Tea again together. Selma teases Yeri wondering the last time she was here, the Emperor was trying to find a princess for Gusteau and suddenly he now has an empress. Yeri chokes on her tea and Valia covers her mouth laughing. Smiling Selma congratulates Yeri as she didn’t think they would be married so soon. Yeri didn’t think so either. It was just less than a month ago that he had proposed. Suddenly the engagement party to the wedding moved at incredible speed. Both Gusteau’s ceremonies to be recognized as the crown prince and their wedding were scheduled together. In the past it was more of a laid back affair. Yeri had been going crazy lately as she couldn’t believe how much she had to prepare because now she only had barely 2 months before the wedding. Yeri tells the both of them that Gusteau mentioned to her that the marriage of the Duke and Duchess of Garth took only 1 month to get married. Since then Yeri has looked to Valia for advice and wishes she was there. Selma mentions that there was a rumor that the Duke of Garth was so in love with Valia that he imprisoned designer Fleur to make a dress for her within a week. Valia freaked out and quickly tells them “What? No!” wondering how that rumor came to be and tries to explain but both Selma and Yeri look at Valia thinking, ‘if it’s the Duke of Garth, isn’t that normal?’ --- When Valia arrives at the mansion, she is confronted by the family doctor. He rushes to her to tell from the symptoms they have been talking about that...she’s pregnant! --- Back at the imperial Palace, the Marquis of Logan and Count Gertrude are discussing with the Duke of Garth they need to bring back the Marquis of Joan. Lately because of Prince Elvan’s rebellion there are less aristocratic families and due to that it has been hard to make decisions and fill positions. They know they need to start to grant new families noble titles to bring into the empire since those that supported Prince Elvan had lost theirs. As they are discussing more decisions an attendant quickly rushes in and tells him a Garth Servant is waiting desperately to talk to him. Schuden impatiently asks him what has happened. The servant bends over and whispers into his ear. All the other nobles stop talking and stare awaiting the news. The last time this happened, everyone in the room recalls the Duchess was ill from the flu. Suddenly they watch in shock as the papers the Duke of Garth was holding suddenly fall to the floor. Everyone looked at the Duke’s expression. It was so unfamiliar to them, ‘when did he ever look like that?!?’ Before anyone can ask, Schuden rises quickly and tells the nobles they must get Marquis of Joan back and Schuden will pay for a new Warp Road that connects the Marquis of Joan’s estate to the imperial palace. Everyone gasps at the costs of building another one as it takes a king's ransom to commission it. They quickly ask him what the hell is going on. Schuden tells him that when the Marquis of Joan returns they will meet and then he just leaves. Stunned into silence all they can do is watch as the Duke of Garth disappears again in a flash. --- Valia is sitting in bed seeing everything as surreal. Science the doctor informed Valia she was pregnant she feels like on cloud9. As she ate food, drank, and took a bath, she noticed all the servants themselves kept smiling and smiling as if they too were on cloud9. Now that she is pregnant, the family doctor has put on her on a strict schedule of bed rest and lots of good food. Valia touches her stomach. --- Schuden rushes through the doors of the mansion as he is greeted by all the gleeful servants. When he had heard that Valia was pregnant, he was so happy that he was stunned speechless. Then his happiness turned to worry. Will he be able to love his child and take care of his child? Would he be a good father? What if Valia is disappointed in him as a father figure? When he enters the bedroom, Valia greets him lovingly telling him he’s going to be a father soon. Nervous Schuden sends for the doctor to see if it’s okay to hold his wife without harming the baby. The doctor reassures him it’s alright and heads back to bed. That night, Schuden touches Valia’s stomach and she tells him in a few months they may feel the baby kick. --- The next day, Schuden heads to the doctor’s office and the doctor hands him a large book that he’s been working for over a year about pregnancy and parenting for Schuden and Valia to read. As he is about to leave, the doctor tells him for 2 months he needs to restrain himself as Valia is 17 days pregnant. Surprised as he watches Schuden agree to the advice which shocks him. The cold eyes of the duke seem much more warmer these days. Spoiler: Vol 5: Part XII --- Schuden is drinking tea in his office. Everyone including the Emperor (who was very pleased), and the Marquis of Joan who will be returning soon sent congratulations to him. Visiting the Emperor, Schuden asks for a request. Excited, Edgar ponders it’s probably about taking a short vacation when the baby arrives. Edgar is thinking Schuden will ask for maybe 7 months which was the typical ask from nobles. “I think you can give me 1 year.” “1 year? … 1 year?” Edgar asks if Schuden is joking. Schuden looks at the Emperor. He’s not joking. Panic, Edgar doesn’t know what to say. Right now with there being less aristocrats in the empire and Schuden is the most important figure right now to help keep the empire running, he doesn’t know what he will do if Schuden goes away for so long. Quickly he thinks of what he can offer to negotiate with Schuden and comes up with an idea. “Duke of Garth, once your child is born….” --- The Garth Mansion kitchen has been busy making meals for their mistress. Valia is worried as morning sickness will start she can’t keep anything down. The doctor assures her he has created medicine for her just in case. --- A few days later, Schuden is laying in bed reading through papers. Valia is asleep by his side. Turning to her, he brushes her cheek affectionately. He recalls according to the book the early stages of pregnancy will make her tired and she will sleep more frequently. As he caresses his wife, her eyes open. Smiling, he asks her if she’s awake. Then he notices her expression changes and her silver eyes start to pool with tears. Panicking, he wondered if he did something wrong by waking her up. “Valia?” He pulls her into his arms asking why is she crying, did she have a nightmare?! Confused and frantic he wants to know what he can do and it takes a bit of coaxing to calm her down. Finally Valia cries, “I want the snack.” For a moment, Schuden didn’t understand. And then thinking she’s hungry he starts to pull the rope to summon the servants. But Valia stops him. She tells him she doesn’t want to eat the cook’s cookies and points at him. “.......you want to eat ...what I made?” (T/N: she wants to eat what he had made when he visited her in the past) Valia nods. “......Is this the reason for you crying?” “Yes.” and Valia’s voice is full of sorrow. She doesn’t know why she’s suddenly so emotional and starts to cry again. But she did know for some reason she really wanted to eat the snack that Schuden made. Schuden is trying to wipe away the tears that keep falling down her cheeks and failing miserably. --- A moment later. It’s night and a pale chef is in the kitchen with the Duke of Garth. “...Your Excellency?” “Flour? Where’s the flour?” Quickly the chef fetches the flour for his master. Sweating he’s nervous as he doesn’t know what to do. “Sugar? Where’s the sugar?” Quickly the chef realizes what his master is trying to do and runs to get ingredients while thinking...is he actually going to make cookies? --- “...are you okay?” Valia nods. “It's delicious.” She takes another bite and smiles. She offers Schuden’s cookies to sample. He takes one and takes a bite. Though he’s not a fan of sweets he realizes that the chef’s cookies are WAY better than both Valia’s or his. His cookie shape was mediocre and the taste of his cookie was just crude but Valia had 3 cookies already and seemed to be happy so he was relieved. Schuden recalls the book indicating that pregnancy can cause one’s taste buds to change. What concerned him more was her morning sickness. He was afraid that she wouldn’t be able to eat properly as she wouldn’t be able to hold onto anything she ate. Valia looks like she wants to finish the rest of the cookies but is hesitant and Schuden tells her she can as he’ll make more for her tomorrow. She looks at him worried as she knows he’s so busy. Schuden doesn’t mind as he thinks it’s better than seeing her cry. And helps her finish his cookies with a warm glass of milk. --- The next day the Garth mansion was busy and many were shocked to find the Duke of Garth in the kitchen baking cookies with flour all over his hands. Schuden glanced at his watch while baking. He needed time to get ready to head back to the imperial palace. So he finished up the cookies for his wife. Spoiler: Vol 5: Part XIII --- Head butler Paul talks to Valia about when to bring Mercenary Grandfather Karl to visit as he recalls the man wanted to come when Valia had a child. She tells Paul it will be good for Karl to come after she’s given birth. He nodded and then leaves. Valia believes it will be the first time her husband and Grandfather will meet. She’s looking forward to it. --- With the return of the Marquis of Joan. Things fall in place and many meetings are held as more work gets completed because at the time it was blocked with his absence. Many of the nobles are relieved as with the upcoming birth of Schuden’s child, they will need to get things done before he goes on vacation. The men are jolly and Khalid orders the attendant to serve refreshments this morning. A teacup has been placed before the Duke of Garth. The tea is a special tea leaf that comes from Khalid’s estate. As he turns to Schuden he asks what he thinks of the taste of the tea. The Marquis of Joan is shocked as well as the other nobles when they turn to look at the Duke of Garth. Schuden was covering his mouth with one hand and looked like he’s about to vomit. Khalid panics and quickly tells the attendant to remove the tea and get Schuden some water. Schuden is trying to reassure everyone he’s fine. As Schuden tries to take the water, he stands up and rushes out. With that the meeting stops as everyone stares at the empty chair. They start to talk, why can’t he take water? Is something wrong with the Duke? Then one person says outloud..….is he having ...morning sickness?” This triggers all the men to remember. It wasn't common but when their wives were pregnant, they all recalled the doctor warning them that they may be experiencing sympathy pregnancy where the husband has morning sickness instead of the wife... (T/N: I'm dying!..... ) --- The Garth family physician had been preparing for this, for months. Morning sickness will be too much for their mistress. He wanted to take responsibility so he studied and studied and finally created the formula to help the Duchess through this tough time. When the doctor sees the Head butler rushing toward him, he knows the only person that would cause him to run frantically. When Paul reaches him, “Did the Duchess start experiencing morning sickness? If so here is the medicine” Paul looks at him and tells him no, it’s their master the Duke of Garth that can’t seem to keep things down. “...Pardon?” --- Back in the Eastern Kingdom, Leo is sitting on the sofa polishing his sword. Rudbeckia is reading through her correspondence. Suddenly a letter catches her eye and she calls out to Leo. “Leo, Leo!” She tells Leo that the Duchess of Garth is pregnant. Leo pauses for a moment and looks at Rudbeckia then brushes it off saying it makes sense since they’ve been married for a while now. Rudbeckia looks at him as she seems more excited then he. She asks, is that it? Nothing else? He looks at her getting all gruff asking does she expect him to hold a celebration or something. She tells him no but at least he needs to send a gift. He goes why should I? She tilts her head and tells him at least he should send a baby gift. Since he’s an easterner now, the custom is to send a gift to someone who is close and you also give a name to the child. Leo pouts what would be his motivation to send something. She looks at him and says because it’s the Duke of Garth. This makes Leo want to gag. He tells her why the Duke of Garth is his “colleague”. Being the mischievous person she is, she begins to tease Leo. She says well that’s what you said when you were drunk the other day. Cringing, Leo groans and he tells Rudbeckia he will never drink around the Princess again as she heard all his secret confessions around his half brother. Then she goes for the kill. “Do you mean it when you’re drunk?” “......” He who had won countless battles in the battlefield...and this princess who is honed and polished….he doesn’t think he can ever get used to it. He can’t win. “Why don’t we make a quick decision and send. You should write and send it before the baby is due.” “I’m not sending it.” “Oh, choose a pretty name and write it here. One girl’s name and one boy’s name.” “I said I’m not sending it.” “I’ll leave the letter right here.” “.......” Spoiler: Vol 5: Part XIV ---- The Garth mansion is crazy busy as an enormous amount of congratulatory gifts are being received. Schuden gets one directly from the Emperor at the Palace. In his note, he tells Schuden that he er.. heard about his...er...condition and the Emperor made sure he got special medicine to help him with his...um condition. The emperor is so amused hearing this greatest warrior taken down by his wife’s pregnancy that he secretly wants to tease Schuden all the time. Valia, not knowing his condition, asks if he’s okay. He tells her he’s fine. Concerned for Schuden Valia tells him he seems a little thinner these days. Schuden tells her it will be alright as he has vacation time coming up. Thanks to both the doctor’s medicine and the emperor’s medicine, Schuden was able to keep things down. Also the next will be the official wedding and crowning ceremonies of Saint Yeri and Prince Gusteau. Valia and Schuden talk about the upcoming day and which priests are going to officiate it. Schuden grins saying they won't be priests as she had told him they too wil perform the ‘Second Wedding Ceremony’. She grins as she is so excited to see it. --- The day of the wedding. A countess gasps behind the Duke of Garth. “OMG, it’s a second wedding!” It’s a lovely wedding as Valia and everyone around the new couple clapped and cheered enthusiastically. --- It was a few days later as the temperature dropped for Winter when Paul tells Schuden they have a visitor. It’s Mercenary Grandfather Karl. Paul tells Schuden they had given him the best room in the outbuilding as the mercenary was very uncomfortable with the lavishness of the servants in the main mansion. Schuden recalls that Valia would be late at the imperial palace with the tea party so he tells Paul that he’ll have dinner with their guests. That evening before dinner, Schuden decides to visit Karl. As he opens the door he hears a rough voice telling them he doesn’t need a servant. Walking in the two confront each other. Karl seeing him raises his eyebrows as he notes this servant more than fancy attire and before Schuden can introduce himself, the tell Schuden he already told them he doesn’t need no stinking escort driver to escort him anywhere. Schuden suggests that Karl sit by the stove as it’s warmer but Karl is faster and asks why Schuden is just standing there. As he looks closely at Schuden he comments surprised. “What’s with this escort, why is he so handsome?” Karl clicks his tongue and continues, “If I had a daughter, I would have never let her marry a man like you. You’re too good looking.” With Schuden silent, Karl starts to laugh, “Hahaha, I’m kidding. Was that not fun?” Schuden decides he wants to talk more to Karl to see if he can clear this misunderstanding. Karl asks if this Knight is married. Schuden tells him he is and Karl and teases Schuden it makes sense as he’s so good looking it makes sense that a woman will flock to him. Schuden tells Karl that his wife is pregnant and is the one experiencing morning sickness. “You replaced her morning sickness?” “Yes.” “Was it hard?” “It was manageable.” “Good god, you look cold but you truly love your wife.” “Thank you.” and Schuden starts to laugh. Karl starts to admire this man as he’s seen many mercenaries in his life who are quick to kill but when it came to their wives they were always faithful like this knight sitting here with him. So he tells Schuden, “I’ll cancel that order. If I had a daughter I would have let her marry a man like you.” Then Karl tells him to treat his wife well which makes Schuden chuckle and thank him for the advice. Then they talk about how Valia likes Karl’s cream stew but Karl’s sure that the cooks are better than his cooking. Schuden corrects him that Valia will like his cream stew more which makes Kark beam in pride. Paul comes in to inform them that diner is ready and is shocked to see his lord. He quickly bows and addresses Schuden as “Your Excellency..” Schuden stands and tells Karl that Valia is currently at the imperial palace and they are to have dinner right now. Then Schuden asks, “If you have time, it would be nice to talk more often together.” Schuden tells him. “........!” All Karl is thinking is...Garth, the adept killer who’s never lost in battle, who’s fame has reached every mercenary’s ear. He’s that strong killer...etc. As Schuden turns to leave and Paul is there to escort Karl to dinner, he tells Karl, “I’ll also remember what you said today.” Karl is trying not to die from a heart attack. Valia returns late from the Imperial palace and goes to see Karl. When she arrives she looks at him. “Grandfather?” He looked strange as if he'd lost a bit of energy. ‘Hmm..did you suffer a lot?’ Spoiler: Vol 5: Part XV --- It's Spring and Yeri visits Valia at the mansion and is excited to show her a painting she found in the imperial palace. It’s a painting of Gusteau’s grandmother. She is a woman who had black hair and silver eyes like Valia. Valia laughs, as she thinks grey eyes are not that uncommon. She jokes that Yeri is cleaning up the Imperial palace. Since their reunion the two have gotten even closer to each other. Valia tells Yeri she can’t come and visit so often because soon she needs to take care of herself. The reason is, Yeri is now pregnant and the Emperor and her husband, the first prince are all concerned for her well-being as well. Yeri had made a promise to Edgar that she would reduce her social activities and stay close to the palace. Yeri gripes to Valia that it would have been nice if Gusto replaced her morning sickness like Valia’s husband did. Because the story that the Duke of Garth loved his wife so much that he took the place of his wife’s morning spread like wildfire. It was to the point pregnant wifes were testing their husbands love saying if their husband loved them they would have been just like the Duke of Garth. This caused a lot of heartburn for many nobles including Prince Gusteau who was so worried for his wife, he told Yeri that he would starve with Yeri throughout her morning sickness if he couldn’t replace it for her. This made Yeri feel so much better. Yeri then turns to Valia telling her she’s so glad their children will be close in age and that Yeri’s child and Valia’s child should be engaged. “But they are not even born yet.” “That’s okay, let’s get them engaged first, then ask later.” Yeri wants to be closer to Valia and having their children grow closer sounds wonderful to her. Valia laughs because earlier she had heard something similar ….from Diana. Diana, who had given birth to a son, plans to return in the fall. She tells Valia if she has a daughter they should get them engaged. Valia’s child was so popular even before the baby’s birth. Yeri tells Valia that she must send word when the baby is born no matter what time as Yeri will rush even if it’s midnight to see her. Grinning, she tells Yeri she knows. --- It is late Summer and Valia’s water breaks. Schuden rushes when he hears word from the imperial palace. Yeri who was coming back from visiting the Holy Temple in her carriage arrives as she asks what’s the frenze and the word is Yeri has started labor. She quickly tells her servant, head to the Garth mansion pronto! Schuden is pacing and frantic, Karl, etc. everyone is trying to comfort him as he’s never experienced childbirth before and is worried sick. Finally Valia gives birth and Schuden rushes in asking if he can hold his wife. The doctor says he can and he holds Valia with all the love he can muster. Tired but so happy, Valia shows him to a daughter. Valia gave birth to a baby girl. Valia is so happy that their 1st born looks just like her husband. Schuden on the other hand was hoping their 1st born has Valia’s black hair and beautiful grey eyes. Schuden and Valia in awe of their first baby girl. ---- Prince Gusteau could not get morning sickness instead of his wife but these days he was thinner. As the morning sickness hit Yeri hard, Gusteau desperately wanted to comfort his wife so both lost weight together as Yeri tried her best to eat and keep her strength up. Unfortunately, she could not hold down much so. Yeri was miserable and feeling pain for his wife Gusteau reduced his meals to keep his wife company. This caused the poor royal chef to stress out trying to keep the couple as healthy as he could. That night, Yeri laid next to her husband and asked after Valia gave birth if he thought their baby would be a boy. Gusteau frowns as he doesn’t understand and asks if someone pressured Yeri to have a boy. He thinks Yeri has enough in her life to worry about. Gusteau worried for his wife gets worked up wondering if someone is pressuring his wife because he’s going to lay it into them. It takes Yeri a bit to calm him down. --- The Marquis of Joan has returned to the capital and in his hand is the edict from the Emperor. What the Emperor had offered to the Duke of Garth who had asked for 1 year of vacation. At the mansion, Khalid presents to the house the edict. The 1st born of the Duke of Garth held the title of Royal Princess. Paul doesn’t know the baby’s name yet so everyone for now just called the baby ‘princess.’ ---- Valia looks over at her husband and asks, “Does our daughter know this is her new title?” Schuden grins. Valia tells him they need to make an offering to the temple which is tradition when a child is born. --- Head Maid Sarah and Head Butler Paul are working busy as they have been directing all the staff to sort out all the gifts. There are literally tons that they’re running out of space. Spoiler: Vol 5: Part XVI ---- Paul greets Valia and informs her a gift from Lord Leo Kanut came from the Eastern kingdom. Excited, she asks to see the gift. The box was very smooth, and there were small jewels on the tightly tied ribbon. A present that seems to have paid more attention than she thought. Valia was surprised as she didn’t know if he would send anything but hoped. As gifts began to come to the Gart house in earnest, Valia told Paul in advance. If there's a gift from Leo Kanute in the East, bring it to her right away. Valia pulled on the ribbon and as the gift unraveled, the silk wrapped around the box flowed down. A box carved with light and strong black cloth was revealed. The luxurious box even looked like a three-tiered one. Valia, who opened it from the top, blinked her eyes "It's a teacup?" A set of elegant teacups and teapots with golden, noble designs. Valia didn't know yet, but it was a very rare limited edition. The second tier had tea. Valia smiled unknowingly at the tea leaves in the crystal bottle. It was a very peaceful gift. It doesn't match Leo's harsh way of talking. And the last tier had the most anticipated and exciting thing to do. Valia, who opened the lid, said, "Huh? The last box contained a letter. Several small flowers resembling sunflowers were also together. She opened the letter after removing the wax seal with red in the middle of the petals and golden petals. Valia, who was reading the letter, said, "Oh my!" “What's wrong, madam?” Valia looked up at Paul's question. "Lord Kanute has become a Count/Earl" "A Count?" "This is a tea leaf from his estate." "As far as I know, there are many rare teas in the east. Ma'am." Valia is happy for Leo. His position has been elevated. Valia tells Paul she wants to try the tea that was given as a gift as she reads the letters with lovely yellow flowers that surrounded it. Paul is hesitant to let their lady try tea until they test it out for any poison since the gift came from Lord Leo who fought with their master. So he asks to check a few things out first. Paul tells Valia that in the East, names have special meetings. For instance Kanute = Knot = Means an end. Valia bursts out laughing as she did not know this. ---- Schuden returns home from stressing out the Emperor by telling Edgar that he wanted 3 years of vacation vs the 3 months of vacation they had settled on. They ended with the 3 months but Schuden wanted to start the negotiations for future children which made the Emperor sweat. Valia tells Student to calm down as she shows him the gift that they received from Leo Kanute. “Shu, please relax your expression.” He asked if it was really Leo that sent the elegant and beautiful gift. She tells him yes. Schuden is a little suspicious of Leo but it seems that Valia has a good relationship with his half-brother. After Paul uses a poison detector relic to check the tea were safe Valia asks the tea to be brewed as she wants to sample them. The tea is delicious and Valia loves it as it seems to be one of her favorites. Schuden frowns as he’ll have to try to import Leo’s product using a pseudonym that Leo won’t recognize. Valia is amused at Schuden’s expression. She knows he doesn’t like that Leo sent a gift. She didn’t tell him but they both were acting brothers who like to quarrel with each other all the time. Now she had to bring the topic of Leo’s letter. In the letter Leo had gifted the suggestion of the name for their daughter. Wanting to tease her husband a little bit more, she asks Schuden what thank you gift shall they send to Leo in return? She starts to suggest maybe the sunflower picture she purchased and almost bursts into laughter at Schuden’s expression when she suggests that it was Valia’s gift to him. Schuden tells her that they should send sunflower seeds but coated in gold. She asks then how would you eat it? He tells her seriously, I will show him to eat it. And Valis laughs out loud at his joke. Well….Valia doesn’t realize that her husband was very serious. --- Mercenary Grandfather Karl and Valia are walking in the garden. It is starting to rain and Valia finds Schuden waiting for her with an umbrella. Karl chuckles telling Valia he has to go visit the ‘princess’. They still haven’t given the child a name yet. Grinning he leaves and Valia and Shu walk together. As they walk, Valia can’t believe all that has happened to them. The past, the present and the future happened . It led Valia to be able to meet this man who’s dazzling smile makes her soul breathe and how much she loved him and he in return. -- End of Volume 5 --- This concludes the main stories - Volume 6 is the side stories as they are 3 parts. Spoiler If my MTL is correct - Rudbeckia = Sunflower They will have twins too - named Leo (boy) and Eden (girl) All of them strawberry blonde hair and red eyes. With exception their youngest daughter looks more like Mom. Yeri will have two kids = 1st one daughter (Sharon Oliva) and 2nd one is the boy (Blanche Simon) and he's the ONLY one with black hair and silver-gray eyes.
Spoiler: Vol 6: Part I -- Diana meeting Khalid --- The mansion of the Earl of Chesilon (셰실론) lies on the beach. Word reach’s Diana’s ears that she is to be engaged to the son of the Marquis of Joan. Diana’s mother is concerned and asks if though she knows it’s a sudden surprise will Diana be alright with this. Diana tells her mother it will be fine. Then the Countess tells Diana that they will be visiting within the week which makes Diana panic as she tells her mom she hasn’t had the time to prepare for meeting Marquis and his son. Mom looks at Diana oddly telling her she doesn’t need that much to prepare, just be polite. Diana sighs and tells her very well. In her room she’s curious about her fiance as neither have met. She’s worried about her manners and what this minor Marquis will think of her. --- The butler informs Diana that the Marquis is visiting earlier than usual and will arrive in 3 days. --- Khalid Joan arrives and is tired. While Diana was interested in their marriage. Khalid was annoyed. It was a strange thing, political marriages. He is engaged to a girl even his own father has never met. Khalid assumes this must be his future bride and is determined to evaluate her. When he arrives the scene takes him by surprise as the family butler rushes toward Diana. Basically Diana and her younger brother had a fight and Diana won, burying her brother into the sand. The servants are rushing to help the younger brother. Diana laughs and turns and stops in shock as she faces the minor Marquis of Joan. Khalid sees that her whole face is covered with white sand. Her hair is loose and blows in the sun like blonde flowers. Her lovely eyes are shining from mirth. Her clothing is shimmering like jewels from the sand stuck to the cloth. She is barefoot on the sand as it seemed she had tossed her shoes awhile ago. Both stare at each other and can’t say a word. That day was a turning point for Diana and Khalid. --- Diana’s parents comment on how refined and elegant their daughter is and how she changed from a kinda tomboy to a noble lady. Leo thinks it's a mockery at first but then Schuden has an interesting face. Basically it’s a return gift of thank you Schuden tells him snarky. Leo doesn't know how to take it and then both go into a discussion as Schuden asks him how he thought of that name in the letter as his child now has that name. Leo gets defensive saying it was the name he thought was the best. When he was thinking of the most beautiful name, he thought of Rudbeckia. Leo asks why Schuden is so irritable. Suddenly he realizes what Schuden just said. He asks Schuden..wait a minute...your child’s name is the name that I chose for you? Schuden goes quiet. Basically when Leo sent the letter to Valia with the gift of boy’s name and girl's name, Valia liked the girl’s name and took it. Because in the letter Leo says that Rudbeckia meant a sunflower. Also the sunflower is a memory that binds with Leo and Schuden from their past as children. (T/N: Schuden’s irritable because his half brother came up with the best name that his wife liked and he jealous.) Leo is shocked that they named their first child after the name he had chosen. Both look at each other as it is so awkward for the both of them. FInally Leo says, “....did the world finally go crazy?” Leo thinks Schuden’s wife is amazing that she can choose something Schuden didn’t like. Leo tries to explain that he chose those names with care and Schuden then gets irritated and tells him, really? Then why did he write “Eden” then as the boy’s name? As it seems that name was taboo between the two of them. Leo is a little embarrassed as he just confessed to Schuden that Eden was still a precious name to him. As both sit there still and drink tea, Schuden finally tells Leo, don’t write anymore letters to his wife. Leo internally smiles and thinks he’ll be sending a letter to the duchess at least once a year to get on his brother’s nerves. Schuden finishes his tea and gets up to leave. As he does, Leo calls out to him if his child is a girl or boy? Sir Sean bows to Lord Canute and tells him Schuden has a daughter and she has received the title of Princess of the Ghel empire. Shocked that Schuden’s daughter has a royal title, he asks, “Then it’s Princess Rudbeckia?" Sir Sean tells him that is correct. “My mistress told me to tell you thank you for the name, Lord Canute.” Leo brushes it off saying no need for thanks and then Sir Sean bows and leaves. --- Back in the Eastern Kingdom there is a big celebration of the birth of the crown prince to the king. Princess Rudbeckia is chasing Leo, “What!? You put down my name and sent it? You put down both a son and daughter’s name right?” “But that’s my name?” she shouts at him in shock. Leo doesn’t understand why she’s upset. “Didn’t I tell you to choose a pretty name and send it?” Then Rudbeckia stops for a moment. “Hoh” Leo’s cheeks are getting red. “Do you think my name is pretty?” “......” Leo thinks he’s made a mistake as he has a slight flush on his cheek. He tells Rudbeckia that her brother is there and she needs to greet her brother, the King. Rudbeckia turns around but there is no King. She turns around. Leo ran away. Many nobles approach Rudbeckia and ask her about her upcoming marriage. A Lady Roxy is there and she greets the Princess. She introduces herself as she is going to be one of Rudbeckia’s bridesmaids. Rudbeckia is out to search for her missing fiance and finally finds him. ---- Sir Sean thinks there is something strange going on with his lord as lately he didn’t understand Schuden’s behavior. He is called to the 4th floor where the Duke of Garth’s office is and he is working. Before he walks in, a maid hands him a towel and disinfectant. As Sir Sean cleans up he walks in, he notices the crib is in the office. Rudbeckia is 3 months old now. Sir Sean hands Schuden all the paperwork. Schuen takes them with his right hand but Sir Sean notices Schuden does not sign them. He wonders why his lord’s left hand does not move from the crib. Schuden asks if there is anything else to report. Sir Sean, distracted, quickly replies. As he stands there he has to ask. “My lord may I ask you something.” “Ask.” “Perhaps...are you uncomfortable with your left arm?” Schuden, still reading the paper work, replies, “Since when did I hurt my arm.” “If not, then why do you leave your left arm in the crib?” “Because my daughter won’t let go of my finger.” “.....” Sir Sean looks into the crib and notices the adorable daughter is holding onto her father’s fingers tightly as she sleeps. Schuden has purchased an entire forest for his daughter to set up hunting grounds in. Valia heads upstairs. When Schuden here’s Valia’s tone, something was up. She asks him why would he buy a forest for their daughter who isn’t a year old yet? Valia is a bit upset with him. Sir Julian then approaches from behind and quickly tells his lord excitedly that the gift that he ordered has just arrived...and then stops talking when he sees Schuden’s expression. Going pale he quickly tells them he’ll leave the box on the table and exits quickly outside. Valia turns and looks at the box and opens it. Inside is a custom made sword with large gemstones like rubies embedded in them. The sword was designed for a young child to use. “You ordered a sword for a child that is only 3 months?!” Schuden thinks that’s unfair as he thinks his daughter is really strong for age. Sir Sean thought so too as they both observed his daughter. Also the memory of Valia gripping her mace, Schuden knew his daughter had the same powerful grip. He can’t tell his wife all this so instead he thinks, next time I get a gift, I need to consult with my wifey. (T/N: LMAO) ---- Prince Gusteau’s palace is planted with an abundance of flowers. The hidden story was when Yeri was so upset when she thought he had given a bouquet of flowers to another Princess. Since that day he started to grow every flower he could for his wife to show her all the flowers are for her. High Priest Philemon is visits the Emperor. Edgar thanks Philemon for coming to celebrate the birth of the Saint’s child. Yeri has given birth to a daughter. Philemon hands Edgar discuss the name to present for the 1st child, both settle on Sharon Olivia (올리비아). --- Valia wonders if Schuden’s right hurts because he’s reading and working with his left hand while holding their daughter. Schuden’s been pampering and holding ‘Rua” because he wants his daughter to say “dad” The other day Rudbeckia was able to say Geno’s name which caused Geno to be banned from the Mansion. The next day as Valia holds on her daughter she’s trying to get Rudbeckia to say Dad. She tries to show her daughter how to say “Dad” she notes that ‘Rua’ is exceptionally strong. Sir Robin tells Valia he agrees. Diana visits with her son Herman. Valia can’t believe how big the child has grown. Diana introduces Herman to Rudbeckia and Rudbeckia to Herman. Sir Robin looks at Herman who had bright silver hair and blue eyes. Diana tells Herman she thinks he will like ‘Rua’. Within 3 minutes as Herman look at Rudbeckia, he bursts into tears. “!” Diana doesn’t understand why her son is suddenly crying and picks him up to try to calm him down but he continues to cry. Everyone panics because usually when one child cries the other starts to cry and quickly Diana holds her son and tells Valia she’ll write to her. While Valia is helping pick up stuff that she drops, Sir Robin holds onto Rudbeckia with Head Maid Sarah next to him. Suddenly Rudbeckia laughs and says a word. Startled, both Sir Robin and Sarah tell each other Rudbeckia just said the word, “Herman”. Sarah wonders if they can get the Marquis of Joan out of the capital before the Duke of Garth hears this. Both decide to pretend they didn’t hear that word. ---- At two years old, Rudbeckia is being held by her father. She tells Schuden that Sharon Olivia Ragelope (Yeri’s daughter) hugs her too as she points down at Sharon who is looking up. Both girls are having their play day as ‘Rua’ is visiting Sharon at the imperial palace. Suddenly an attendant tells the Duke of Garth, the Saint has given birth to a baby boy, the 2nd child to Prince Gusteau and Saint Yeri. --- Gusteau holds his wife’s hand. She is exhausted from giving birth. Gusteau flirts with his wife and thanks her for giving them a son. Though Sharon was born healthy, unfortunately their son was born prematurely from the divine power inherited by Yeri. He is small and Gusteau hands their child to Yeri. As Yeri holds her precious son, she notes…”huh?” “Is my child’s eyes grey? Why didn’t you tell me?” Gusteau is confused by his wife’s statement. “Look! His hair is black too!” “...So why is that surprising? Didn’t he inherit your hair?” “No, dummy, it’s just that it looks like I gave birth to baby Valia.” Gusteau laughs. “Because our son resembles Valia then he will be in good health.” Yeri kisses the boy’s forehead. “You will go well with the ‘Princess’. Sir Sean tells them Valia will arrive later. Today they were invited to visit and meet Yeri’s second son who will receive his official name. That morning when he woke up to head to work, Rudbeckia woke up cried for him not to go, so he took her with him to work instead. She fell asleep in his arms. Schuden picks up his daughter and heads to meet the prince. In the royal baby’s room, Schuden sits down as he watches his daughter approach the baby and pinch it’s cheeks gently. Everyone smiles. Sharon just care for her baby brother while Rudbeckia looks at the child closely. Suddenly the child reaches and holds onto Rudbeckia’s hand. And then the baby begins to cry. “Huh?” The child won’t let go of Rudbeckia’s hand. Everyone is shocked how strong the baby's grip is. Knowing the child is weak, the nursemaids panic trying to calm the prince down and also getting the baby’s grip off Rudbekia’s hand. Finally Rudbeckia who was stronger was able to remove the grip but the baby cries even harder and reaches out for Rudbeckia. The nurses can’t calm the baby down and hold him to leave the room. Rudbeckia starts to cry feeling bad that she made the baby cry. Schuden tells her it’s alright and he’s more annoyed at the baby boy for making his daughter feel bad so he decides something. ---- Valia looks at her husband confused? Schuden just said that Rudbeckia was no longer allowed to come to the palace ? Looking at the tears that are on ‘Rua’s eyelashes, she asks what happened. Schuden tells her about how the baby boy cried and wouldn’t let go of Rudbeckia’s hand. Valia thinks that’s interesting and tells Shu is it all babies that cry when they meet Rudbeckia? She tells him both Herman, Sharon and now Yeri’s 2nd child cried when they first met her. Valia tells him they probably cry because she’s his daughter. This takes Schuen as he’s confused. He asks her why? She looks at him laughing. Don’t you know? Schuden doesn’t get it and finally Valia tells him back at the Holy Temple when she met Eden, he told her when Schuden was young and he visited kids, they used to cry when they saw his red eyes for the first time. Schuden starts to laugh and tells her he had forgotten that. Spoiler: Vol 6: Part III ---- Schuden comes back from an inspection in another kingdom and Valia tells him she’s pregnant again. Happy they dance together at a royal ball. --- A few months later, Sir Robin is watching Rudbeckia show interest in the sword her father got as a gift. The servants are all watching in awe as the child easily picks up the sword and swings it. --- Valia escapes to the Northern villas owned by Schuden who are up high in the mountains. Valia and Schuden are having a disagreement on how long he should have vacation time. While there, Schuden helps Valia spin yarns for a baby hat. Meanwhile poor Mercenary Grandfather Karl is entertaining his Granddaughter Rudbeckia and exhausted. Karl wonders when the two couples will make-up and head back. --- Valia gives birth to twins in the Northern Villia. Both are blonde babies. One is a girl and one is a boy. Both have red eyes. Though their youngest daughter does resemble Valia more than Schuden where as Rudbeckia resembled her father much more. Schuden is a little disappointed that his children have his traits. He was hoping one would have at least dark hair or the silver eyes. As they are resting, Valia grins and tells Schuden she wants to name their youngest son, Leo. Schuden wants to know if Leo has been talking to her even though he told him not to send letters anymore to his wife. Valia bursts into laughter and tells him that Leo is a good name as well as Eden and that is what they use to name their youngest daughter. --- Spring has come to Garth Mansion as everyone has returned. And Karl tells Valia that her husband is such a good father. Valia smiles and agrees as she sees all 3 children are cuddled up to their father out in the garden. Rua makes a flower crown for her father and places it on his head. All three children turn and call out “Mommy” and start to head to her. The youngest could barely walk and Valia watches as Eden falls down but doesn’t cry at all. Valia is amazed at all her children. They all play while the servants are making sure they don’t hurt themselves. Schuden holds Valia’s hands and they watch their children in the garden. ---- When Rudbeckia was four years old, back at the Imperial palace, the Emperor decided to send his grandson Blanche (블라흐) Simon Ragelofe to the Holy Temple to help heal his weak body. This has caused a stir among st the nobles. Basically Blanche’s body is full of divine power that causes him sickness and he almost died. To heal his and strengthen his body he has to be with the High Priests in the Holy temple. Yeri is devastated and is comforted by High Priest Philemon as he will take her son to the temple. She understands and nods. Gusteau is trying to reassure Yeri as she cries in Valia’s arms. Sharon starts to cry as she sees her mother cry. Rudbeckia hugs Sharon Spoiler: Vol 6: Part IV --- Sir Geno has finally graduated and is allowed back to the mansion and imperial palace. Excited as Sir Robin takes him to meet with Rudbeckia’s sword. He is now Rudbeckia’s sword partner. She’s holding a wooden sword and Sir Geno can’t believe how much she’s grown and tells her. Also he thinks she’s adorable holding the wooden sword. Sir Robin grins and tells Rudbeckia to go for it. While Sir Geno smiles as he doesn’t think this will hurt as much since he’s a good knight. Rudbeckia charges in and is so accurate with her strikes that all you hear is Sir Geno protesting, ouch, hey ouch, that hurts, etc. Bruised and beaten by Rua, Sir Geno is in shock and Sir Robin grins. After the practice Geno is depressed but Sir Robin tries to cheer him up by saying Valia thought he was a good partner which cheers him up. --- The forest owned by the Duke of Garth was well maintained and became the place for many nobles to learn falconry as well as hunting. Many nobles paid a huge sum to attend or hunt in the forest. It was a gift for this daughter to teach her to hunt as well as swordsmanship. Rudbeckia is 12 years old as Sir Geno is trying to accompany her in the forest. She is wearing full armor and a helmet. Rua points to Sir Geno that someone had just fallen out of some flower tree and tells him to go and aid the person. Sir Geno heads there. Suddenly petals fall on her helmet as she looks up. There is a child sitting in a branch directly above her. Long black hair flowing down his beautiful face. Rua doesn’t know if the child is a boy or a girl as it is now fashionable for males to grow out their hair in Ghel. “Uh….” Rua realizes after hearing the child’s frightened voice, it’s a boy. Instinctively she raised her arms up. Indicating for the boy to jump into her arms. He boy looks down at her embarrassed. Soon the child starts to carefully climb down from the tree. He was about half way down when the boy had a misstep. “Ah!” The boy falls into Rudbeckia’s arms. “Be careful. You’ll get hurt.” “Ah...sorry. Thank you for helping me....” but the boy’s voice faded away. Rudbeckia was staring at the boy’s face. For the boy, the face was so close. The strange thing was, he couldn’t seem to avoid this intense gaze. He wonders if it’s because he’s nervous he’s feeling this way or was he surprised by this situation. He became so embarrassed that he gulped nervously. Still their eyes met. He had no idea what this person’s face looked like covered with a helmet. “Your eyes are silver-gray.” 'That was out of the blue.' thinks the boy. The boy was puzzled but he answered, “Yes...it’s silver-grey….” Rudbeckia smiled for the first time though you couldn’t see it as her face was covered by the helmet. Still, the boy did know one fact about this person. They had red eyes. “That’s good...” She says. “Pardon?” Rudbeckia reached out to the boy’s eyes. The boy was surprised for a moment and the touch on his eyelids were gentle and really sweet. For the first time, Rudbeckia’s eyes soften. “I like silver-gray.” ‘Hyuk!’ At the moment the boy’s heart skipped a beat. Suddenly his heart started to pound fast. It was Blanche-Simon Ragelofe’s prelude to his first love. ---

Spoiler: Vol 6: Part V Blanche-Simon returns from his encounter at the temple located in the Palace and meets with his sister, Sharon Olivia who decides to brush his hair and put pretty flowers in them. Thanks to their mother Yeri, both have gotten close. Blanche is extremely lovely for a boy and so Sharon likes to play doll with Blanche’s hair and he’s totally is fine with it. For the past 11 years he’s been in recovery due to the over abundance of divine power he inherited from his mother. He’s finally able to be back from the Holy Lands to live in the palace. There will be a huge celebration coming soon to welcome his return. Blanche is excited because he knows that Rudbeckia is the Duke of Garth’s daughter and wants to meet her again. Sharon has an odd looking snack and Blanche asks about it. She tells him her best friend (Rudbeckia) made them. Blanche tries and after one bite he wants to choke...they’re not very good. ---- Lady Diana’s son, Hermann who is incredibly bright and intelligent has been asked to tutor and advise the crown prince Blanche in his studies, etc. While Hermann introduces himself, Blanche gets to know him and suddenly Blanche asks him about love and falling in love. Both boys don’t realize that they both like the same girl, Rudbeckia. (T/N: So cute...I believe Hermann is 1 year older than Rudbeckia and Blanche is 1 year younger) --- The night of the ball celebrating Blanche is greeting everyone and keeps on the lookout for the Duke of Garth. Finally they arrive and Blanche is excited to see her. Rudbeckia is stunning but she’s very cold to him. She greets him politely and heads away. He stares after her. Valia notices how closely the crown prince pays attention to their daughter. She then sees Lady Diana’s family arrive with Hermann who’s playing with their twins. Valia knows that Hermann, from Diana’s words, likes Rudbeckia and she watches as Hermann is trying to woo the Duke by being good to his other children, the twin. She realizes Blanche likes his daughter and he was the one that Rudbeckia had rescued as she shared her story with her parents. Schuden doesn’t like the Crown Prince very much because he’s the only person that has ever made his daughter cry. Rudbeckia rarely cries so he’s kinda annoyed as he too notices how much the crown prince. --- Later, 12-year old Rudbeckia brushes off coldly a young suitor and Sir Geno is also her guard. Blanche escapes people trying to greet him to follow Rudbeckia. Since he was hurt by her cold shoulder. He catches up to her and witnesses her dismissing her as a suitor. Meanwhile Rudbeckia is annoyed at all the attention and then at the young prince as she doesn’t want to deal with a puppy following her around. She tells him that and briskly walks away. Confused, our pretty 11 year old prince still runs after her and falls and trips. He doesn’t understand why she’s cold now and so tears start to fall. Rudbeckia doesn’t know why this particular boy’s tears bother her so much so she walks back to him and gives him a handkerchief and to wipe his eyes and tells him to stop crying as he’s the crown prince. Immediately Blanche stops and stares into her beautiful face. Satisfied she gets up and walks away. Sir Geno is a bit surprised that Rudbeckia even bothered to care. She usually ignores or doesn’t even bother. Spoiler: Vol 6: Part VI ---- Skip a few years later and Rudbeckia is 16 yrs old and she is to attend a new academy. ---- So a brief history. The Emperor has been trying to establish a new academy and it’s not been very popular with the nobles as traditionally it has been private tutors only for nobles and royal families. Edgar is hoping the reputation of the Academy grows for other nobles/royals from other countries will attend fostering alliances and partnerships. Suddenly the Duke of Garth walks and asks Edgar how high of a % can one invest. Puzzled, he tells Garth 40%. Garth tells him fine, I’ll invest 40% which is the same as the Emperor’s investment. Suddenly the rest of the nobles, knowing the Duke of Garth is invested, are now frantically jockeying for the remaining 20% of investment. The emperor later finds out it’s because Valia wanted their kids to go to this type of school, so whatever Valia wants, Schuden will do it for her. ------ OMG - The twins are HILARIOUS… Eden (Girl)...Leo(Boy)...small snippet after finding out about investment in the Academy. Valia has the twins with her as Eden is a socialite (she is very extroverted vs her entire family) and is to attend a tea party with her mother. Leo is yawning and is very tired, I think they are like..10 yrs old or something and Valia feels bad for her son. Leo tells his mother it’s alright he needs to be with Eden. He is a complete gentleman (takes after his father) The problem he can’t tell his mother is that Valia doesn’t know Eden very well as the brother he needs to watch after his sister, Eden. Valia takes Eden to set a tea part with other ladies and their daughters. Worried about Leo she asks him to rest in another room but Leo says he wants to be with his sister. While they're talking, our lovely Eden is amazing at socializing that she is the ball of the tea party. Suddenly, one of the young girls mentions how tomboyish Rudbeckia is. It wouldn't be nice if they were gentle and sweet like Eden. Suddenly a white glove is thrown and smacks the girls face . Eden challenges her to a duel because of how DARE she insults her older and wonderful sister. This causes an incident which Valia quickly returns to and sees that her daughter was carrying a wooden sword demanding a duel. Needlessness to say the party ended. (T/N: LMAO) Later, Valia pulls her twins and asks them where she learned this stuff (sword wielding and dueling). Eden tells her from Mercenary Grandpa Karl and that if someone insults the family you have to challenge them for a duel. Valia turns to her son, asking if he’s learned the sword. Leo tell her no, he’s learning the mace instead. (T/N: I’m dying…) --- Back at the Academy With both the Duke and Emperor invested the school is constructed and opens to include 3 students, Blanche(15), Rudbeckia(16), and Hermann (17). Blanche has started to mature and his divine power no longer weakens his body. Once he reaches of age in a few years he will be 100% healthy. He still has to head to the temple in the palace to release the overload of power and wears a magical necklace that helps reduce the strain. All are at the opening ceremony and the three due to their status and then are escorted to a special prayer building for Blanche and the others away from their parents. Both Herman and Blanche for the past few years have become friends and also found out they both like the same girl, Rudbeckia. Neither of them have confessed yet. There is an altar and both Herman and Blanche kneel down to offer a prayer when Rudbeckia notices something strange and pulls them by their collars away from the altar and just then the floor collapses and all three fall in. All land into some body of water below the building. Everyone is in a state of shock and looking up, they’re surprised they managed to survive as it is a long way up so now they have to tread through the underground passageway to find a way back. Suddenly Rudbeckia notices the water is rising. Herman mentions this is too much of a coincidence that some took them to a faulty building purposely. Rudbeckia “Rua” agrees for now they need to find a way out. Suddenly Rudbeckia sees some and quickly pulls Blanche before they can attack. Blanche has a sword at his waist and Rudbeckia takes it to defend himself. They discover 5 assailants after them. Rua, being an awesome swordsman, dispatches them from the rear as Hermann and Blanche head away. Herman tries to grab a sword of one of the dead men but he doesn’t have the skill sets a Rua does. Blanche is in awe of Rua’s skills as a dagger flies out towards Herman, Blanche tells him to watch out but it’s Rua who deflects the dagger and notes that Herman is worse than her brother and sister. Blanche sees one the fallen assailant reach for his dagger and stab it at Rua. Blanche quickly moves and is stabbed instead in her place. Rua furious, stabs the assailant in the neck killing him. Rua turns to look at Blanche who tries to reassure her it’s okay and suddenly blue light bursts from him as he self heals. Rua yells at him they’re not at a temple and his weak body won’t sustain that. Both Ruda and Herman notice that Blanche looks like he’s in pain. He tells them both instead of arguing they should try to escape this running reservoir. Blanche because he’s still not an adult yet knows...using his divine power will cause him to tire and pass out. He doesn’t want the others to worry as he tries to stagger and follow them. As they find a door they open in and there are men waiting for them. They all realize that everyone is attacking Rua vs Herman or Blanche. Both boys try to help Rua but Rua takes care of them but has injured her ankle. When all is calm she tells Herman to run up the steps and get help. Herman doesn’t want to and she tells him as Blanche is starting to fade that she will stay with Blanche and he’s the only one that can go up the steps faster. Conflicted but goes. Before he does he turns to her and confesses that he likes her and doesn’t need her to answer and heads out. The water is rising and Blanche wakes up to realize he’s on Rua’s back as she’s holding on to him. Quickly he tries to ask her to let go as he can walk. She tells him to hold still and he gets off her back. She realizes how tall he’s grown as he’s taller than her now though he’s younger. Blanche asks where Herman is and she tells him he’s gone for help and the door lock is broken as they can’t get out. He asks if she’s cold as he realizes her dress is getting drenched in water. She scoffs at him telling him she’s fine. He approaches her and she stiffens up and tells her that she doesn’t honestly seem fine. Blanche tells her she was amazing and Rua loses it and confesses that she wants to see her parents and her brother and sisters right now so she messed up and broke the lock trying to get out of her. Blanche tells her it’s fine and she looks at him strangely. Then she reaches out and touches his cheeks. She asks him why he feels too warm. He tells her he’s just nervous. She doesn’t believe him and he tells her that he’s trying to stay awake so as to not bother her and so he’s having a fever. He confesses due to the power that wants to release within him and it can kill him. Rua realizes how kind this crown prince is as he heard from Yeri and Valia growing up how Blanche has a lot of power locked in his body. Rua thinks she should have been stabbed instead of the crown prince. Blanche notices her thoughts and tells her that he can’t use the healing power as well as his mother. He can’t right now heal the pain from the stab wound. He tells her he’s fine. She tells him he’s not and makes him confess that his body is near his limit. She quickly starts to make cuts on his arm. He thinks she’s crazy but it’s the only way to release his power as his body starts to try to heal him releasing energy. Blanche asks Rua permission to call her by her first name (casually as friends) and she tells him he can. He tells her thank you and they’re both now stuck waiting for help. Blanche tells Rua that he’s going to go into a deep sleep and asks if she can talk about herself so that he can keep awake so he asks how her parents fell in love. Rua goes into the story about the rain and tree that Valia was waiting for and Blanche chuckles at the story. He tells Rudbeckia she will fall someday in love too. She tells him maybe and then adds “Don’t uselessly appear in front of me in the future too.” (T/N: LMAO) Blanche is fading out and Rudbeckia finds this kid strange. She’s used to being protected by stronger people, her father, Sir Geno, Sir Sean, etc. But this tall scrawny kid who isn’t good at sword fighting protects her instead. Blanche in his feverish tone confesses to Rua that he’s liked since their fateful day in the forest and that he doesn’t want to worry her anymore and passes out. Rua stares at him for a moment as he’s sitting against the wall in the water. She covers him up and hears a splash. Suddenly the Marquis of Lewis appears before her. Spoiler: Vol 6: Part VII -- The Marquis is a newly titled man and we find out that his uncle “Bigshot” wanted to attack the princess and he talks that he’s sorry for what has happened. The Marquis doesn’t attack Rudbeckia which shocks her as she has her bloody sword out ready to attack and defend herself and the crown prince. Suddenly we hear a commotion and it’s the Duke of Garth, Schuden and their fellow knights trying to reach them. The Marquis leaves Rudbeckia as the water starts to rise and he drowns helping stay afloat and keep them safe. Schuden checks upon his daughter as the doctor tells her that she’s got some fractures in her ankle and legs. Rudbeckia falls asleep after the ordeal and they also treat Herman who’s been hurt as well as Blanche who is in a deep slumber. They quickly arrest the Count Bigshot that has planned all this and put him in the Palace dungeon. Back at Garth mansion, Eden is freaking out watching her older sister resting. She finds out about the injuries and becomes furious. Leo, knowing once his sister gets into this mood nothing will stop her. She demands to see Count Bigshot in the dungeon. She tells Leo not to worry which makes Leo even more suspicious so he tells her he is coming with her. Due to their status they are allowed to visit the prisoner and let into the room. Leo, not knowing what his sister is planning, is shocked when Eden pulls out his mace that shrunk in size and beats the crap out of the prisoner and then walks away. (T/N: OMG..I want a story on these dang twins..way too funny). Eden later inherits the mace from her mother. It’s been a few months and Rudbeckia has healed and she mainly either stays at the mansion or heads to the private forest. Eden has been dragging poor Leo for social events and is the favorite talk of the town. Valia is having tea out in the garden and Schuden calls out her name excited that she’s started to bake again as he sees a plate of deformed cookies. Valia bursts out laughing and tells him that Rudbeckia baked them. She’s a terrible cook just like her mom. Spoiler: Vol 6: Part VIII --- A few days later, Schuden is hunting with his daughter, Rudbeckia. She approaches him after her successful kill and has a serious expression and she reminds Schuden when she was six she told her father she could marry her mother. Schuden smiles asking hasn’t she given up on that awhile ago. She has but she’s been thinking and she wants to ask her father and for them to keep it between them. She tells him that she got a confession from both Blanche and Herman. He asks her at the Academy? She tells him yes and she’s not sure what to think about it. Schuden is rather annoyed at both since his daughter was in a life and death situation. These boys have the time to waste and confess?! She tells her father, her closest friend is Princess Sharon and if Sharon was a males, Rudbeckia would probably marry her instead. Schuden knowing his daughter the two probably will have unrequited love for a while and he thinks all 3 of them are still young. They should all enjoy school and then see later what their true feelings were. Rua asks her father how he came to love Valia and her being his only one. It's a hard question to answer as they started to fall in love as they got to know each other more. Suddenly, Ruda tells him she knows, though he hasn’t answered her yet. “It’s because you just saw her standing there (in the rain). Right, Dad?” Schuden chuckles and tells her, “Yes, Rua”. (T/N: Yep...we don’t know who she chooses in the future.) --- The last short story is about when Valia was poisoned. While Schuden was in her past. Valia was in Schuden’s past and she talks to his deceased brother Eden. It's a sweet short story about Schuden’s childhood and he asks Valia to help his brother forgive himself now. -- End of Volume 6 -- Thanks folks so that is now the end of Princess Shu.
