A wild centipede appeared in my bathroom and I accidentally squashed it with my flipper when I was walking (I swear it was a damn accident, I just suddenly discovered a flattened and dead house centipede on the ground, I'm assuming I killed it). So, I was wondering if I should be worried about those things co-existing with me, considering I believe that signs of centipede might indicate nasty things such as roaches, bed bugs, silverfish, etc. in the house. (Cause centipedes usually prey on these, right?). Apologies if this thread seems all over the place, I am currently very paranoid and am trying to search for other centipedes
Where are you from in a general sense? Because most house centipedes are harmless to humans. If your worried about it i would call pest control.
Its relatives are out for vengeance, even as we speak. And centipede bites are excruciatingly painful...
And the answer is the same... call pest control if your worried about it. Centipedes are in a general sense harmless, and op is looking for more centipedes. Op also didn't indicate finding another pest problem (yet hopefully there isn't one).
Get as many insecticides as you can, close the windows and doors, wear a mask, empty the bottles then get out the house (make sure the spray in the air doesn't leak outside), go take a walk outside or something, come back after some hours, if you find nothing, repeat the process till you are no longer worried XD
Haha, this is why i hate killing insect inside the house, my imagination always run wild after.. What if, what if.. xD
I had the same experience this morning. I just went to the front yard without wearing flip-flops while coming back I felt like I stepped on something hard and long, I heard a clacking sound so I thought It was a small piece of the branch when I looked back it turns out to be a millipede. This is what it looks like It looks beautiful and disgusting at the same time.
