Discussion Drama/novel/manhua Adaption

So guys I came across this drama Mr. Bodyguard and it's first episode felt interesting to watch then I saw adapted from novel tag. After my research I came to know that novel Beauty and the Bodyguard is adapted to both manhua and drama. But seeing the chapter count of novel. Well I don't think it'll be good, What do you guys think?
Should I watch drama or read novels or comics! What's better?

 

Dramas are usually not faithful adaptations.

And I don't believe there are any English subtitles

 

Well it has subtitles for all of it's four seasons but seeing it has four seasons and novel Having 9000+ chapters and still on going, makes me doubt it's qualities.

 

If i remember well, the first season was still okay but they changed the cast in the second season then i dropped it.

 

Oh I think I might have been thinking of Miss CEO and Bodyguard.

I recommend Sword Dynasty.

It is a drawback of Chinese dramas. I usually avoid dramas with a second season
