My Iyashikei Game(我的治愈系游戏) by I can fix air-conditioners Genre: Action, Comedy, Horror, Mature, Mystery, Psychological, Seinen, Slice of Life, Supernatural Police officer, would you believe me if I say this is an Iyashikei game?
The only reason is to tell the censors this has some redeeming value, thus shouldn't be banned even though it has killing and other horror theme.
In recent years, there is a large crackdown in China about stories that is not helping to " stablize the country". Stories that do not meet moral standards are removed. So the recently created stories all have parts that promote morals. However, it is not written how this must be done. So every work must try their own way to ensure it is upright and moral.
The Author is already toning it down ever since My House of Horrors got warnings and almost got banned so this story is already toned down.
That is why it keeps saying a horror story is cleansing people's soul and make people happy. It is self justification and has no basis in-story. It is an explicit shout out to the censors.
Maybe in chapter 100's? Han Fei clearly said he becomes a much better person who can contribute more to society after experiencing these horrors.
How was it? I still haven't gotten past chapter 3 and can't recall anything about this novel. Though I'm not that hopeful about this novel due to China being strict on Showbiz or Horror related genres.
So is it similar to the novel where the MC plays horror games, but he doesn't know fear? I forgot the title.
I am planning to read this after My house of Horrors, since it's from the same author. Chen Ge is one of my favorite MCs and that's why I am curious about the MC on this novel. How does he compare to Chen Ge?
He is an Actor by vocation so he does use it to survive in the dark side of the My Iyashikei Game. Like Chen Ge, he also uses his mind to tricks the ghost, helps the police to solve crimes.
