I was pretty late to the Korean drama party , circa 2012 but one thing I can brag about is that I knew of No Minwoo before the average Korea drama fan He was a member of the bad TRAXX that sang the OST of one of my favorite anime. I am rewatching the anime this weekend. Those innocent days when the protagonist losing was required instead of the overpowered crap we get nowadays. Although to fair, akin to penis-envy, I have big sister envy so I enjoyed stories with older sisters. It doesn't have to be a noona romance eg Eyeshield 21, just a big sister figure. I feel so jealous of those with big sisters since I only have little sisters @otaku31 @Ishmael @userunfriendly
Oh man Eyeshield 21. I thought trax was jrock due to their song on the anime (also cuz avex trax lol ) but later on found out they were in sm entertainment when they came out with a Korean ballad song. Such a shame krock is not that popular in Korea
Yeah. I prefer rock so I don't listen to Kpop unless it's a drama OST and I can tie a story to the song. Ballads are always a win What about the fact that you get songs 100% in English nowadays? I ain't exactly complaining but it is sad when the singers are foreigners. Eg Elsa Kopf It kills their music scene
Yeah I agree it is not as impactful as to them singing it themselves not saying that the singer is bad but personally for me it makes the story more immersive if the actors themselves would sing even if it did sound awkward
I am not asking for the actors to sing it. I just want Koreans to sing it. Not a fan of the all multi-talented star you see in Japan and Taiwan with their idol dramas. Where the same dude acts, sings, produces the drama. It just kills the industry for young up and coming stars. I rather have 3 different people do 3 different roles. Not a fan of dual roles either or 40 year olds playing high school versions of themselves. Cast child actors. It made Yong Jiu Grocery store very confusing but we had different actors and actresses playing high school version of the characters and it was fun
