An odd question... Why do you record your voice if you're gonna end up hating it in the first place?? As for me, I don't record my voice at all.
Being weirded out by your recorded voice is a common thing. It's because the voice we hear ourselves speaking is different from our actual voice.
This would have made a great poll. That being said. I’m an amazing singer. In the shower. With a lot of water drowning out my voice. And walls that reflect my voice. So I’m the only one that can hear my voice… What was the question. Oh yes. I have a great voice? Can I take that back. I just recorded myself. I sound pretty good. Lol
I read about this a long time a go, so I may have forgotten some details. But the main point is that, when we talk we hear our voice in two ways. One is through coming directly straight out of our mouth. You know, the way how we hear other people talk. The second one is through vibration. When we talk, our mouth(or parts of it ) vibrate and then the vibration will go straight to our ears. Thus, with that two combined, we hear our voices differently that how others does. This is also the reason why we hate our voice when we record it, what we normally hear isn't truly what our voice is. ---- And yeah, I hate my voice when recorded.
I don't like my voice when recorded, it's too deep. Especially throughout this week, since my nose has been completely blocked for a while now, making it weirder.
