Well, in my country, it's hard to sell things like in Patreon, Amazon and so on because our country do not accept those. I really² want my works to be accepted somehow by any company out there, why? It's hard to sell stories or arts in my country, may say they're not available. I really² need money, I'm still studying so cannot do part time jobs plus my country is under strict laws now. It's hard, yes, we have food but not enough so we only eat what we have but I want more than that and now I'm sad that I couldn't eat good food since the hostel is close so Im staying at hom eating what my family has. I want to eat chicken, desserts, and I've a lot of things to buy, like my shampoo, soaps and so on. So sad, any good company which accept online works? In case they are so just share ok.. P.S. that's all
There definitely is I know of 2 but you can search and find more. for novels webnovel site would pay you for writing (not sure how much) and webtoons.com if you can draw webtoons and publish them, the more popular they become the more you earn. it's a long process though. There are freelancing websites where you can be a ghost writer or find other writing jobs but it'd take you some knowledge and time to stand out among the many people there . sites like "Fiverr" , Upwork, freelancer. You can do data entry jobs there as well or virtual assistant or translator . Just watch youtube tutorials before you jump into anything. The most important is to have a way to receive payment, like a credit card. Is that available to you?
Its best that you don't sell any digital art unless you are commissioned by a company or an individual. Also make your samples really small and have lots of watermarks
As far as I know the easiest way for artisian to get money is via commission work. P.s. I read somewhere that furry porns pays well, idk if it true or not
Take commissions! Do you do digital art? Scribblehub (NUs sister site) is one of the places in which there is quite a demand for art commissions. OwO I take them too But you need a way to get paid, and a platform like twitter to showcase your art and reach the right audience. If you are curious you can join scribblehub's discord and talk with the artists there.
Provided you can do digital art, the way to go is just to niche, and then niche harder. I heard an artist say once that they just draw hamsters in mini landscape boxes and that landed them a job at disney as a background artist (the artist liked building miniature dioramas, hence the hamsters and, I presume, the square boxes..). They were really good at that, but that happened. So figure out something you want to draw, find an audience who enjoys that sort of art, and cater to that niche. You need to brush up on the fundamentals of art but that's it, really. You'll likely be able to find art niches if you just explore your personal interest and look around for people who want art. Like, mabe you really like Bloodborne or something. There are people out there who like the artstyle and want their characters drawn. Or you like some other fandom, or you like drawing background art and could sell game art assets. Just look at the internet, you'll find so many people who want art for their Pokemon or MLP fan characters. If you need ideas, take a look at etsy shops (or other commission shops), pick the ones that seem successful, and study what they're doing. Dig where you stand. Just make sure you niche down into a niche that 1) has money and 2) wants art.
What sucks is that even in the U.S., selling original comics with one's own original characters can be extremely hard.
Check your countries laws on taxation and shit. Don't wanna accidentally commit tax fraud or something
The question you should ask is not whether your country accepts Patreon or not, but whether or not you can accept payment from them. For your purposes, you do not need to be able to send money, only receive it. For example, people from many countries can't buy Steam games because they stopped accepting Paypal payments, but game developers can still accept payment from Steam. Does your country block any form of payment? If not, what kind of payment does it block? You can usually find out the answer online. For example, in Malaysia, you can receive payment through paypal or bank transfer. You can easily receive payment by just linking your bank account to the system, but there is a threshold that if you reach it, you need to prove your identity to the payment provider. You also can't directly link your bank account to job providers such as patreon or fiverr, but you can link your bank account to other banks such as paypal. The way most people do it, is to link their bank account to paypal and payoneer and receive payment that way. Payoneer is something like a virtual bank, Ai-chan's payoneer bank is in Germany but Ai-chan has never been to Germany. So basically, you complete jobs on fiverr, get the payment transferred to payoneer and payoneer then sends the money to your bank account. Ai-chan doesn't think your country would block this, as it's a simple bank transfer. If even this is blocked, then they must be blocking all bank transfers, which doesn't make sense.
Yea, I've my own bank account and my own credit card but hardly use it cause my bank account is always empty. I hope it's true cause I'm an erotic illustrator
Porn is one of the steadiest incomes afaik, and furry art especially just because so many people into it spend most of their time on the internet. Also be careful about how you set things up for payment/delivering of goods. Get people to pay you through paypal or something, instead of a cashiers check or some other random form of "the money will totally be fine" method. ....That edit was supposed to be a new reply and I don't know why it appended there. weird.
Not all online payment are blocked (I remember that my father used to play Forex and bitcoin in the past which he doesn't now, thank God) but suspicious money transmission without concrete evidence will be blocked, definitely. Many local bank accounts for those who do online businesses are blocked since people transfer the money via their account so the bankers were like "block suspicious activity".
For digital art in general, most artists use: - Twitter - Pixiv - ArtStation - Fiverr (Also a good place for anything else, like your stories) Most important is, that you have a nice portfolio of your previous works. Of course the price is also important but at the end it comes down to your skill level. If you are an absolute pro, you can demand complete different prices than someone who has just started out.
