CHAPTER 1: HOW WILL OUR FAMILY SURVIVE?

My brother escaped from the Kratie Boarding Academy. Fortunately, Franz returned home, but nevertheless, during the tea drinking, tension arose in our family.

    - Nothing special. I was just homesick. I also missed Hertz ...

Franz, who had just turned fifteen this year, acted as if there was nothing special about it. But he avoided eye contact with anyone present. Our mother tried to defuse the heavy atmosphere with a light smile.

    - I understand. You missed home because you were in an unfamiliar place for a long time. Am I right, honey? But our father, the Marquis of Vesta, did not look pleased and said coldly

-I don’t know what’s going on, but leaving without warning is not something you should have done. Get back to the dorm now.

I was the only person who knew that Franz was confused. Franz, barely holding back a shudder, said:

    - Father! P-please give me some time. I'm worried about Hertz's health, and I have a few things to do. But his father did not listen to him at all.

-The butler will take care of your cat, so don't worry. I will send a messenger bird to Kratie. The father stood up, showing with all his face that the conversation was over.

    - D-dad! Please let me stay here. Please…

Despite all his pleas, our father was still cold. At that moment I understood everything. I saw Franz's thin wrist, which was thinner than a stick, covered by the edge of his uniform.

His entire wrist was bruised. Franz noticed my gaze and quickly covered it with his hand. His hands were shaking.

If I say nothing now, Franz will return to the Kratie Boarding Academy. And he will become a knight as planned. And our family will ...

    - Franz, could you take off your uniform for a minute?

I put the cup on the saucer and kindly ordered my brother.

    - Sister? W-what about my uniform?

Franz stepped back and covered his chest with both hands. I took the cup again and signaled to my servants at the door. They went up to Franz.

    - Sorry, Young Master.

Bowing once, they began to take off his uniform.

    - Take off his shirt too.

    - No no. Do not do that!

Despite his pleading cry, my servants took off his uniform. When his upper body was exposed, our parents were dumbfounded by what they saw. There were bruises and cuts all over his body.

The red bruises on his skin looked as if they had been done quite recently, some of them had turned purple. And some were black. His classmates definitely did it.

    - Oh my God, Franz! shouted mother.

It must have been during this period that Franz was subjected to the most severe bullying at the Boarding Academy. The mother was shocked and began to cry.

The Marquis Vesta asked Franz furiously:

    - What do all these cuts mean? Who did this to you?

    - Tell me what bastard did it!

    But Franz said nothing.

    - How dare they do this to my son! I will go to Kratie right away! The words of the Marquis Vesta brought Franz to his knees.

-P-please don't do this, Father. I beg you.

The father was upset when he heard his pleas.

-You're so ... Why didn't you use Schuette?

    - If you had used Schuette, this would not have happened! Franz said nothing, but lowered his head as if he had done something wrong.

    - Enough! It hurts ...

Mother cried, hugging Franz's thin body. This boy, who was to become the heir to the Vesta family, was bullied by his own classmates in the boarding school.

The father continued to sigh heavily and again lit a cigarette. He hasn't smoked for a long time. On this day, at this moment, if not for me, no one would have seen the wounds on my brother's body. Franz will only stay overnight at our house. And he will definitely return to the boarding school.

At least I think so. It was all wrong. For Franz, for our family, and also for myself. I will intervene a second time. My heart was pounding with fear.

    - Father, mother! I need to say something.

When I raised my voice, my parents' gazes turned to me. I lifted Franz's uniform and covered it. I could no longer look at my brother's wounded body, it upset me.

    - I don't think that life in the boarding school suits Franz. I calmed my breathing and expressed my opinion further.

    - You know that Franz is more of a Scholar. He was not born to be a knight.

    - Kayla, I know what you mean.

But my father still didn't want to listen. He just sighed.

-But Franz is the heir to our family. The Kratie Boarding Academy is run by the Royal Educational

Foundation. To become the next Marquis, he must obtain a certificate of graduation from this Academy.

I knew it. But that won't stop me.

    - There are many female knights among the Royal Guardian Knights. In addition, they were also in our Vesta family. I can do that.

It was an impulsive decision. But there was indeed a female knight in the Vesta family. I reminded this fact to my father.

    - Kayla, you should have learned this from childhood. But you never even touched the sword.

It was absolutely true. I, Kayla Vesta, have never learned fencing in my entire life and have never even taken a sword in my hands.

    - Franz, tell your father. Do you want to be a knight or a Scholar?

Father's cold face gazed at Franz. His eyes frightened Franz. I poked my brother in the side and whispered: -Franz, think about what I have already told you.

For three years after I got here, I told him the same thing.

    - Do you really want to become a knight like your father wanted?

    - One day you have to kill someone. You don't like resorting to violence.

Franz was really kind. I touched on Franz's cherished desires and the dream to which he strove with all his heart. His desire is what he was able to keep in his mind in the original story.

    - You like to watch birds in the forest. It is your dream to watch wild birds.

    - You
said you wanted to read all day.

    - You said you want to live in peace.

    Franz's lips trembled.

    - Live your own life.

Franz never went against his parents. The boy always loved his family and was pleased when he helped the weak. He was too soft. In the original story, he never fought the bad guys.

    -D-dad, I ...

His father's gaze went to his lips.

-I, I want to be a Scholar, as my sister said.

It took a great deal of courage for Franz to utter these words, since he never opposed his father's will. I chuckled, and Franz felt relieved, even though he was scared. Now he finally managed to look his parents in the eye.

Before Franz came to our house, I did not think that I could change my fate or future. For three years I whispered these words to him only out of pity.

I just felt sorry for him, because because of our family, he had to do what he didn't want to do. I wanted to show him that there are alternatives. That's all I wanted to do. But I changed my mind when I saw the bruises on him. If things go on as they did in the original story, Franz will be more bullied. Our family, including me, will be destroyed.

-I want to tell you again that I want to become a knight, Father. I spoke these words clearly again.

-Have I ever wished for anything in my entire life?

My parents were unable to answer my question. In my memory, Kayla Vesta was an adult and responsible as the first child. She made concessions to her brother, she was a good sister. But they were both weak and soft.

    My father looked puzzled.

-I… I never knew you wanted to be a knight. But, Kayla, it's too late now that the coming-of-age ceremony is over.

When you turn sixteen in this world, you celebrate the coming of age ceremony regardless of your graduation from high school. Boys and girls, especially in the royal social circle, chose their careers before the age of sixteen, and as planned, my career was to be in the high fashion society.

-Don't worry, Father. I can handle this. I think we will do the right thing if we change Franz's career before the ceremony. It will be better for him that way.

Franz should change his profession to a Scholar before the age of sixteen, if possible. My father was silent for a long time, worried, so my mother supported me.

    - Honey, can't we do as they want? I cannot send Franz there. I just can not! Mom hugged Franz tightly.

-Then we have to send Kayla to the Kratie Boarding Academy. This is fine? Mom again disagreed.

-I don’t want to send Kayla there either. We have to send Kayla to a knight school in my hometown. I don't want to send my child to such a strange place.

    - But one of our family members must graduate from Kratie to become an heir!

    - Then send your cousins! Your cousins have Vesta's blood too, and that fits the conditions.

My father was upset when my mother raised her voice.

    - It's just impossible.

Currently, my father was the Marquis of the Vesta family and was on bad terms with his brothers. He turned away and sighed heavily for a moment, then at random tossed his cigarette onto the carpet. One of the servants quickly entered and put away the ash and cigarette.

Since both of them did not make progress in resolving the issue, I decided to put an end to their dispute.

    - I will go to the Kratie Boarding Academy. Send me there.

    - Kayla, no!

    - I can do it, mom, dad. But give me the Schuette that Franz has.

Schuette is our family's illustrious sword that was passed down only to those who took the knight's path. Taking this sword, I will become the heir to the Vesta family.

    -Shouldn't you take Shitsuro instead?

The Spirit Shield, Shitsuro, along with Schuette were the treasures of the Vesta family. Because I decided to change the future, Franz should not have taken Schuette. Franz must take ...

    - Can Shitsuro be handed over to Franz? The owner of Shitsuro does not need to carry a sword with him.

I tried to stay calm and smiled at my father. In fact, I didn't want to become a knight at all. I'm not interested in becoming heir to the Vesta family. And I didn't want to become the owner of Schuette.

My goal was to get Franz to take Shitsuro. If my brother wields Shitsuro's shield, he can change the future.

    - None of my children do what I want.

Finally, the father sighed. He could not refuse my offer, seeing in what position Franz was. I gradually took over all the roles of my younger brother: the heir to the family, boarding school Kratie and, finally, Schuette.

Although it was for Franz, it also applied to our entire family. My brother is not to be seen until the day when he completely possesses Shitsuro to avoid tragedy.

    ***

It was the second day after Franz suddenly returned home. Father, Franz and I gathered in the basement of Vesta's mansion. On the altar stood Shitsuro in his usual shield form. The honorary sword of Schuette was sealed in Franz's body. Now the moment has come to transfer and seal Schuette into my body.

-You wanted me to speed up the ceremony, so I do what you want, but I’m still not sure if that’s right.

My father, of course, did not trust me, but still he put Franz on the floor with a magic pentagram.

-Give me the hand that holds the sealed Schuette.

Franz extended his left wrist, as his father said. He had a small sword tattoo on his wrist. It was the sealed Schuette, the illustrious sword of the Vesta family. Soon it will be sealed within me. The father took out a dagger and slightly cut the place of the tattoo. Franz grimaced in pain as blood began to trickle out.

-Patrons of the Spirit King, I would like to bring Schuette's spirit sword back to earth. I will break my blood oath.

As Franz chanted the spell, a long sword slipped from his wrist. For a long time I could not take my eyes off him. From the handle to the very end, there were no decorations on it. Anyone with the blood of Vesta could use this oath. They could use the sword whenever they wanted, and this increased the powers of the contractor.

From my father to my uncles, grandfather, grand duke and others. All knights who came directly from the Vesta family increased their strength using Schuette. After Father takes Schuette back, I can enter the middle of the magic circle.

-Come on, Kayla. Give me a hand that you will seal Schuette into.

I held out my right hand to him. My father cut the back of my hand with his dagger. Blood sprinkled on Schuette, and he began to glow.

-Repeat the spell as I told you.

My heart was pounding and I was nervous. I knelt in front of the magic circle and cast a spell, raising my hands to the sky.

-Those protected by the Spirit King. I receive your power with the promise of my blood. Until the blood of Vesta is shed, this promise will continue, I pledge my eternal loyalty to the Spirit King.

Because of this oath of allegiance, the ceremony was held in confidence in the basement of Vesta Castle. If the Imperial Family found out about this, they would have been furious.

    -God, how embarrassing ...

When I finished casting the spell, Schuette was consumed by my wrist. The bright light made my right hand hot as hell. From the incredibly intense pain I was about to pass out, but then Schuette entered my body. The cross was now visible on the back of my hand. Holding my hand, I put my lips to the sign and whispered:

    - Schuette.

Then I saw the sword come out of this sign and rise into the air. It landed right in my hand.

Schuette entered my body successfully. I grabbed Schuette and swung it. It was like a warm-up. It was undoubtedly an excellent weapon product.

When my father and Franz saw how skillfully I was using the sword, they were amazed.

-Oh, it's because they saw me holding a sword for the first time in their lives.-

    - When did you learn to wield a sword? I just wanted to teach you this? I coughed a couple of times and sealed Schuette again.

    - This is the first time I hold a sword in my hands. Maybe I'm just gifted.

In my past life, I was fond of amateur fencing. Once, when I was in high school, I even won first place in a county competition. But they don't know it anyway.

    - Now it's Franz's turn!

I defused the situation a little and led Franz to the middle of the magic circle. Owning Schuette was not that important today, but owning Shitsuro was much more important.

[You should have owned Shitsuro, not Schuette. You could have become a Master, but no one knew your talent. ]

In the original story, Aster definitely talked about it. Aster was quite specific, so it was definitely true. If Franz owns Shitsuro, he will become a master. Shitsuro's Mighty Shield. He was protected by the Spirit King along with Schuette, but there were major differences between the two.

Schuette can injure anything, but cannot touch the Spirit King. But Shitsuro was a shield capable of

With standing the power of the Spirit King. If Franz becomes Master Shitsuro, no one will be able to harm him. Franz pulled out his left wrist again. There was still a wound from Schuette's unsealing.

-This will greatly change the original story.-

At the sight of Franz and Shitsuro, my heart beat faster. Father shook the blood off Franz's wrist and sprinkled it on Shitsuro. Shitsuro, like Schuette, began to glow and floated through the air. Franz knelt down as I did and began to cast a spell.

After the ceremony, everything went smoothly from Franz's expulsion to my transfer.

    ***

Although Franz left the Academy without permission, the Kratier administration did not react to this.

This is because I, the elder sister, will now take the place of Franz, who dropped out on the pretext of illness. The Academy sent a letter saying: -We wish Franz a speedy recovery and welcome your transfer.-

Maybe it's because he dumped Kratie.

    -Franz, you look much better.

    - Haha, I think I just slept well these days.

Franz smiled, which caused dimples on his plump cheeks.

The shadow on Franz's face disappeared because he no longer needed to go to boarding school. His lean body began to gain weight as if he had an appetite.

    - You've gained weight.

    - Oh really? Come to think of it, the pants I used to wear are getting too small for me, so I have a new pair. By the way, have you lost weight? Your cheeks are hollow. And under the eyes appear such dark circles. In my opinion, you look a little ugly ...

    - Be quiet.

Only after I lightly hit Franz on the back of the head, he calmed down a bit. Nonetheless, Franz smiled as if he were truly happy.

    - I'm so glad I didn't go to the Boarding Academy.

My complexion was gradually turning gray. I spent 3 years as an aristocrat, and now I will go to a boarding school.

Every morning I will wake up early, attend classes, then complete assignments, share a room with cadets I don't even know.

In short, I will be forced to live a normal life. I already missed my carefree life.

-I do not want to go. I said that I want to go to the Boarding Academy, but I don’t want to go there!

I sat down on the sofa, suffering.

I don’t want to go, I don’t want to go! Dormitory!

Then Franz looked out the window and shouted.

    - Elder sister, delivered Kratie's uniform!

He accepted the package from Kratie boarding school for me. The packed box contained the school's seasonal uniform.

When I saw my little brother's face, I was overwhelmed with happiness because he had gained weight, but at the same time I was a little angry. Who is responsible for all this?

    - The new female form of Kratie is good.

    - Look at this, sister!

    - The color of vomit after typhoid fever or the color of green tea matches.

    - Green tea matches ... what?

    - Nothing.

    - Ha ha ha, my sister sometimes says words that are difficult to understand.

Regardless of what Franz said, the green uniform didn't look cool in my eyes. It sucks.

The Kratie boarding school provided uniforms for all students; for girls, the design assumed long skirts. The skirt came down to the ankle. In addition, the color resembled green algae in a polluted river.

Pushing my uniform into a corner, I looked at the letter in Franz's hand.

    - And what is this letter?

When I pointed to the letter, Franz read the sender of the envelope in his hand.

    - It? From Ritaus.

Franz looked at the letter and smiled.

    - What?

After that name was uttered by Franz, I jumped up from the chair.

I completely forgot! About the existence of Ritaus Eiser. That dangerous guy.

<I just found out about your departure. I want to visit your home next weekend>.

A lot of thoughts passed through my head. No no no.

    - Never! Don't let him come. Don't invite him!

I felt disgusted when I got to my feet. Now I could clearly pass for a local madman.

Franz looked at me with a puzzled look, as if it were unusual for me to show a strong feeling of rejection.

    - Sister.

Yes, I know your sister looks crazy. But…

    - Ritaus is ...

Ritaus Eiser, 19 years old. He was the eldest son of Count Eiser, a student of the Kratie Boarding Academy, who had just received the title of knight, and also Franz's roommate.

    -… My sister's fiancé.

The groom chosen by the parents.

    - Elder sister, Eiser is a good person. If not for him, then I would not have been able to endure studying at the Academy.

A young man who felt unrequited love for my brother.

    - Oh, you are in his dark desires ...

    - What?

I was unable to complete the sentence. My fingertips were slowly getting cold. How can I tell you that most of the men around you have dark desiress.

    Franz did not know this.

Franz did not know this, but the action of this world took place in BL's novel Magic Mirage, and future events unfolded between several men.

CHAPTER 2: WHY IS HE DANGEROUS

I couldn't take care of my only brother because of the company I had to work for on weekends.

    - …sister?

Even the day I came home early from work, I sat down at the computer to create a PPT (presentation) for work, without even asking if my brother was having lunch alone or not.

My younger brother came up to me and spoke. In a low voice, he said he needed money.

    - What's happened? Are you out of pocket money again? I gave them to you yesterday.

    - ...

    - These days you spend your pocket money very quickly. What then?

To this my younger brother could not say anything, he just bowed his head, fingering his fingers. I felt very annoyed when he did this! I'm so tired of this.

    - Why don't you wear the clothes that I bought you earlier.

I saw a stain on my brother's unusually thin wrist.

He felt my gaze and hastily pulled back his sleeve to hide his wrist.

    - Due to the fact that you are not accurate, I always hear people say about you that you are a child without parents. If you only knew how I don't want to listen to this

I sighed, looking at my brother, who could not answer me anything.

I couldn't waste time on something like that. I needed to make a project for tomorrow and show the presentation to my boss.

I turned my chair around and stared at the monitor again. But my brother hasn't left my room yet.

    -Sister… you know.

I heard an indecisive, hoarse voice.

    - Can I not take the test?

What are you talking about, third grade high school? I turned and looked at my brother in anger.

    - Is it because you don't want to go to school? You only have to hold out for six months.

What is his face? I had no idea since he was not looking at me with his head down. To be honest, I wasn’t going to get a good look at my brother’s face.

No, the truth is, I didn't want to see my brother's face properly.

    - Do you know why school is so important at your age? It's not just about learning, but also about social interaction.

I yelled at my brother. Instantly, something like a drop of water fell to the floor. The water began to envelop me, spreading everywhere.

    -…!

Kung! I was amazed at the sound of my heart and opened my eyes.

A canopy with a drapery of lace appeared before my eyes. Tears full of grief moistened the pillow, and the pajamas in which I slept were soaked through with cold sweat.

    - Haaaa ...

I tried to wipe away the tears with my hands, but they didn't want to stop. I couldn't stop crying. My heart ached, giving a throbbing pain all over my body.

    ***

I had no appetite. I didn't think I could have breakfast with regular food, so I only asked the cook for boiled peaches.

It didn't matter that I was not hungry, or that my general condition was poor, it was necessary to have at least a little breakfast. This was my rule of thumb in my previous life.

However, even a soft boiled peach was hard to swallow today. Is it because I haven't been able to sleep since dawn?

    - Is my sister feeling bad again?

Franz, who was slicing the deer meat, spoke to me as he chewed on my food.

My brother knew that whenever I felt bad, I would eat boiled peaches instead of other dishes. As you might expect, he already had a trained eye.

-I can’t eat anything else, I don’t like the rest. In fact, I love canned foods.

There is magic in this world, so conservation technology is not developed. With the help of magic, you can stop the spoilage of food at a certain point in time.

So, the aristocrats had a separate food warehouse in the kitchen, which served as a refrigerator. Ordinary people had something like jam, but it did not have the taste that I would like.

How would you best describe this unique, cheap flavor?

    - Kayla, something happened to Sir Ritaus? The fork plunged into the food.

Mrs. Vesta's gaze looking at me looked worried.

    - Yes, Sir Ritaus wrote me a letter saying that he would like to visit us, but I refused him. Mrs. Vesta helped too. I looked at Franz, and he immediately dropped his gaze.

You were the culprit of my act.

-Sir Ritaus is a very serious and honest young man these days. Such a groom is not so easy to find.

-Quite right, sister. I want Sir Ritaus to be my brother-in-law.

No no. Franz, you mustn't let this happen. I said it for you.

Not that I was totally against Ritaus because of his dark desires towards Franz. Of course, this was a significant reason, but there was also a more global one.

Ritaus's presence also implied Estellla(Aster). If you see Ritaus, then Aster was somewhere nearby. These two are cousins, but they were actually close to the relationship between a child and a nanny. And here the role of nanny was played by Ritaus.

Estella was jealous and hated all the creatures Ritaus cared about, and in the original this jealousy was directed at Franz. It is this Aster who kidnaps Franz, pursuing him, takes away the front and back Innocence (? lmao) Of Franz and destroys the Vesta family. Therefore, he should never be near Sir Ritaus because of Estellla.

To part with Ritaus, I had to convince my father, Mirkiz Vesta, of this. But it wasn't easy. My parents loved Ritaus, and obviously he was the first to be my fiancé. Therefore, I will have to turn the strategy the other way.

    ***

-You’re going to my father’s office, aren’t you?

    - Yes, that's right ... Huh? Miss!

I took tea and snacks, which the servant brought to my father's office.

    -Take your time, father.

I smiled as sweetly and sweetly as I could.

-I see you’re doing something that you haven’t done before, so I think you have something to ask for.

    -How do you know?

-You only say that when you need something.

Now the expressions on my father's face directed at me were similar to the face of a Tibetan fox. So, we must immediately get down to business.

-Father, Sir Ritaus, is the heir to Count Eiser. I stroked my father gently on the shoulder.

    - And what's wrong with that?

-And I'm going to be the next head of the Vesta family.

    - AND?

-We need a man who will marry me for our family.

    - Are you saying that Eiser will not help the family?

    - Yes.

    - Hmm ...

I knew the situation wasn’t so bad if you looked at it objectively.

Each of the children who are born between me and Ritaus can become the Marquis of Vesta and Count Eiser. But before my father's rational thinking returns, I need to turn his attention to the other side.

    - And Count Eiser is a greedy person for ambition. If the blood of Eiser and Vesta mixes, then two treasures in our house can go to the Eiser family.

    - My God, is Count Eiser such a person?

It's a lie. I do not know what kind of person Count Eiser is. He never appeared in the original. But there was nothing wrong with that.

Meanwhile, Vesta's two treasures, Schuette and Shitsuro, were only available to those who inherited the Vesta family's blood.

If the blood of Eiser is mixed, the descendants of Ritaus will be entitled to the treasures.

It was also possible that the two families Vesta and Eiser could unite to form a greater force. Oh my goodness! In many ways, marriage to the Eiser family is not a plus or a minus!

The confused father had to make a quick judgment before he felt anything strange.

    - I will find myself a real groom, father!

    - A real groom?

    - Yes, a person who is unconditionally loyal and obedient to me and my parents! He seemed to be thinking about something. I'm sure his head is already spinning.

    - Let's think about it a little. This is not an issue requiring such quick and radical solutions.

My father said he would think about it, and I started to get angry.

What's wrong with you? I do not like this!

I was nervous. I wanted to get it over with as soon as possible.

-Father, I never really liked Sir Ritaus.

    - Let's think about it more slowly

    - Father…

In a bad mood, I chased the Marquis of Vesta until the evening to get him to divorce. The Marquis Vesta, who eventually grew tired of my stubbornness, raised his hands.

-Um, I respect your will. I didn't know you hated Sir Ritaus so much.

    - Thank you, father.

I lifted my long skirt to show my respect to my father.

But my father may have pretended to respect my opinion in order to seize the moment. I had to keep playing.

    - While you are at the Kratie Academy, talk to Count Eiser. Isn't the Eiser family and our family still very close? We cannot unilaterally report this.

    - Actually, father ~

When I tried to open my mouth, the Marquis of Vesta looked worried.

-I have already sent an urgent telegram to Sir Eiser. Sorry.

I nearly lost my hearing that night.

    ***

    Boom!

A young man with brown hair and pale green eyes, wearing a green uniform, burst into the Salon. The young man's breath was hammered.

    - Ha, ha. Before visiting… Visit… You need to inform… Estella.

The young man's eyes reflected a gorgeous girl who was sitting on the sofa and looking at the letter. She was a beautiful girl with pink hair and purple eyes.

The girl from fourteen to sixteen years old looked young and smiled.

-I told you not to say that name when we're alone. Ritaus.

The girl's seductive light escaped from her lips in a low, thin voice. Like a boy who has just completed his late metamorphosis.

    - Aster.

    - Yes, that's my name.

Aster smiled tenderly at Ritaus. However, his voice was still low.

-By the way, I have a special telegram from your charming bride.

Aster showed Ritaus the telegram he was reading. It was a special telegram to Ritaus. Ritaus took the telegram from Estellla.

    - Do not read to outsiders.

Ritaus read calmly as slender arms wrapped around his waist to snuggle against him.

-I’m here because you didn’t come to our house. You're angry?

Silky pink hair tickled the tip of Ritaus's nose.

It smelled like iris. The scent was terribly feminine, but it didn't make any impression on Ritaus.

    - You still look like a stone. It's not fun.

When Ritaus didn't answer, Aster hugged him around the waist without any interest.

    - Ah, it's boring and not fun. Let's talk about your fiancee. I only read the telegram. Estellla wore a dress of pink silk, identical to his hair with black lace.

His long hair was tied with a black satin ribbon, making him look even more beautiful. Aster felt the face reading Ritaus's telegram slightly harden.

    -What's the matter?

But Estellla was not interested in the contents of the telegram.

    - What is your bride? She's pretty?

When he changed his question, Ritaus opened his eyes, as if ordering him to shut up.

    - So she's ugly?

Ritaus sighed heavily as he watched Aster whine on the couch.

    -I'm bored, Ritaus.

Aster said, lying with his eyes closed.

    - Nothing special. My fiancée is going to enter the Kratie Academy, where I am studying, answered Ritaus, who was attentively reading the telegram. There was not a drop of tenderness in his voice towards the bride.

-Is she trying to keep an eye on her fiancé?

    - A funny girl.

    - No, it's not like that at all. Not at all. Ritaus shook his head.

    - What's happening?

Ritaus's hand that held the telegram trembled and weakened. It looked rather absurd, as if he was instantly exhausted.

Aster approached Ritaus to look at the telegram.

    -… This is a break-off notice.

Ritaus's face turned pale, and Aster's eyes lit up with interest.

Time seemed to slip through my fingers. Before I had time to look back, there were just over two weeks left before my departure for Kratie. Goodbye peaceful days, I will miss you.

    Nightmares, welcome to my life.

For two months, I forced Franz to attend joint fencing lessons to train Shitsuro.

    - Can we rest today? I promise I will study even after my sister leaves for the Boarding Academy.

    - Tell me, Franz, have you ever trained on your own?

    - No.

    - Then shut up and go change.

Although Franz had good physical characteristics, he was very difficult to climb. My brother liked to sit at his desk for a long time and read books, so I was very worried about his practice of using the family shield.

-Even with Schuette, I didn't train so hard, Franz complained again.

Well, how can you not understand that I am doing all this for you, idiot? For you, me, parents - so that we can live in peace in the future!

Even if Franz possesses Shitsuro, it is meaningless if he does not become a Master. Only after becoming a full-fledged Master of Shitsuro, Franz will be safe. And for this I will try my best.

-Shitsuro, Franz commanded and touched his lips to the shield symbol on his left wrist. A magic circle appeared in the air.

    - Wow!

    - Awesome!

Exclamations were heard from everywhere. In my opinion, the shield has become ten times larger compared to the last time. I, of course, expected this, but the speed of mastering Shitsuro was a little terrifying. And still, Franz needs to work harder, no matter what he says. At least with the same zeal with which he escaped from training.

I'll be strict with you until you leave, Franz.

    - In position! - the father made a sign with his hand, and the knight of the house of Vesta brandished a

wooden sword. Shitsuro easily withstood the blow of the weapon. The knight, who had not calculated his strength, dropped the sword from his hands. This time, six knights circled around Shitsuro. Franz stretched out his arms in front of him, and there were four magic shields in the air. Fine! It was now impossible to keep track of his brother's actions. The stunned knights were momentarily confused, but immediately raised their wooden swords and struck at their shields with a swing. Shitsuro did not even flinch, and the weapons in the hands of the knights shattered to pieces.

    - Great, you have already mastered the front-line defense! - the satisfied father clapped his hands. Franz, who had sealed Shitsuro, blushed with embarrassment. For the first time in his life, he heard our father's praise for the art of war. Of course, this was also due to the fact that Franz was sloppy despite his talent.

    - It is growing rapidly. I suppose after a while Franz will master the defense at a distance.

    - On distance? I don't think I can ...

    - No, you can handle it. Trust your sister.

Distance protection is a technique that expands the range of the protected area. A large castle could be defended with a technique that a simple owner, not a Master, could make the most of. But if we are talking about the Master, then the possibilities increase many times over. According to literature, Shitsuro once defended an entire city the size of an Imperial City. When Franz becomes Master Shitsuro, I intend to use his power to protect Vesta.

Franz was still at a loss:

-To be honest, I think I can do what my sister asked me to do. My body is lighter than using Schuette. It feels like Shitsuro is moving at my will. It's like Shitsuro and I are one body. I've never experienced anything like this with Schuette. It is very strange.

Nothing strange. In the original, Estellla clearly confirmed that Franz had the ability for Shitsuro and not Schuette. Even though I doubted until I saw it myself, now I know: Franz will soon become Master Shitsuro. The power of his brother will be so great that even Aster, who destroyed the Magic Tower, will not be able to attack him. Aster himself told about this to Franz, who was in prison at that time.

[I am very glad that you did not become Master Shitsuro. If that had happened, you would never have been mine. ]

In the original work, none was Master Shitsuro and Schuette. Therefore, when I read the original, I thought that Franz would take Shitsuro after Kayla's death and become his Master. And the story of revenge on those who mocked Franz would begin. Unfortunately, this was just a false hint in the original. Why do that? I used to scold the writer, but now I fully appreciate the idea. Thanks to this little feature, I can change my future in this world.

    - It seems that Franz will become a Master, - the butler Alto looked at my brother in surprise. My brother and I are the fourth generation of the Vesta family; one of us was to become Master Shitsuro. If I had not insisted on changing the artifacts between us, then Franz would not have revealed his potential and the next Master Shitsuro would have been born in 100 years.

    - What about Lady Kayla? Will she be able to own Schuette?

Hearing Alto's words, I glanced at the small sword-shaped pattern on the back of my hand and barely stifled a sigh.

-I will not become Master Schuette.

Butler Alto's wrinkles deepened. It felt like a lump was stuck in my throat.

    - Why do you think so?

    - …I just know.

Honestly, when I first tried to master Schuette, I was eaten by curiosity. Will I become Master Schuette? In a past life, I already had the experience of participating in a kendo tournament. Therefore, I was sure that the talent of my past life will be preserved in the present. But…

    - Can we now see Kayla's skills? Did you train a lot?

Under my father's expectant gaze, I sighed. The practice was everyday, but the problems did not diminish.

-Lady Kayla, you are wrong again. You have an open left shoulder, - the coach hit me on the left shoulder, - spread your legs wider, why are you constantly narrowing your steps?

The swordsman's training foil instantly hit me in the stomach.

    - Kha!

    - Attack, Kayla!

    - Ha ...

Father's face was worried. The fencing teacher said in confusion:

    - This is weird. Kayla learns fencing for the first time. What are these strange habits?

    - The movement of the wrist is unusual.

Both the fencing teacher and my father criticized my actions.

In my right hand I hold a slender training rapier. However, my body was in the kendo posture that I had learned in my previous life.

The habits were stronger than me. My face was on fire.

    - She holds a sword in a very strange way. Why is she holding the rapier with both hands? Is the rapier that heavy? - the knights whispered to the sides.

    - To be honest, I don't think you have a talent for swordsmanship.

    - How can I then become a knight?

No one in my life has ever so insulted my possession of the sword.

    ***

I sat in the bathtub after finishing my swordsmanship training. I need to become a knight, I will be the head of the family, I will be the knight, the head of the family, the head, the knight ... My father offered other options, even those that were not associated with becoming a knight:

-Franz now has Shitsuro, so the cadets won't be able to offend him. Franz studied fencing since childhood, so I think that it would be better for Franz to become, as originally planned, a knight.

    - It will be a waste of time!

Franz, who was not yet Master Shitsuro, was as helpless as a fish washed ashore. As long as the brother needs protection, he cannot go to Kratya.

    - A-a-ah, and what should I do? - I was so worried about this question that I squeezed my own hair in my hands.

-I think Lady Kayla should learn how to use physical strength, said the butler Alto as he left the training center. He patted my drooping shoulders. -You don't follow your body movements too much, do you?-

It was true. Kayla Vesta's body did not move at my will. If I knew about this in advance, three years of my life would not have been wasted. I should have started at the age of five or six to be successful in this sport ...

    - Ah, let's run from this moment without regrets!

From that day on, I decided to devote myself to basic physical training. A dance teacher who was fired was recruited again to increase body flexibility. Every morning I rode a horse, climbed the nearest mountain and crossed the river. If none of this helps, then I'll climb the window frames. An impatient excitement spilled through my blood.

    - Did you spend a sleepless night again? Your skin is very pale. Remi, my personal maid, was restlessly applying moisturizer to my face. These days, I did not pay much attention to personal care, because all my strength was spent on muscle training. I was so tired that I could not sleep. You just need to go through this situation.

-Lady, if you don't get enough rest, your skin will deteriorate,- Remi frowned.

    - I will fall asleep when I get used to new physical activity. Don't worry, Remy.

I relied a lot on Remi after I got into this world. It was thanks to the guidance of this maid that I was able to behave like the real Kayla.

-You don't look like Lady Kayla at all!

After this phrase, every time I try to remember Kayla's past life and try to behave accordingly.

    - Oh, yes, Lady Kayla, - Remi began to run her hands over my face, doing a massage, - Are you really going to break off the engagement with Sir Ritaus?

Curiosity was clearly read in her gaze. Rumors about the dissolution of a long-standing engagement spread like wildfire among the servants, but no one dared to ask me personally. Except for Remy.

    - Yes, but I'm not going to destroy it. I already tore it up. The maid turned her head to one side in disbelief.

    - Why? Sir Ritaus is handsome, noble, and not without merit, and I think he has a good heart.

I agree that Sir Ritaus is a handsome, noble young man, an impeccable student. But it has a fatal flaw.

    - He also organized a gathering for the poor. He treated the Young Lady well ...

According to Remi, it turned out that Ritaus is the real ideal of any girl. I felt a little scared at how well the girl described Ritaus.

    - A person may have an impeccable reputation and noble deeds, but no one knows what a person has inside.

-What does Sir Ritaus have inside?

    - Sparkled eyes Remi. I cannot tell her the truth. Not that Remi won't believe - she can't even imagine how Ritaus have dark desires. No, I'm going overboard a little, Ritaus himself is not such a bad person. An exemplary student with good grades from a noble family. But there was a circumstance that in my eyes lowered Ritaus below the bottom: he was closely associated with Aster. And Ritaus could not at all influence Aster's evil deeds.

[Forgive me, Franz. Aster ... I cannot oppose Duke Lysch ... Sorry ... ]

In the original novel, Ritaus was unable to help Franz escape when my brother was kidnapped by Aster.

Ritaus only blamed himself for his own helplessness. This was the controversial side of the honest knight calling for justice. In addition, when Franz angered Estellla, he did bad things to Franz with shock and anger.

When I thought that Franz, whom I still cherished, was spoiled by Estellla, I think that this situation was a

water stone (is a state where you are really angry and cannot control your mind). Of course, it was the exact interpretation of the characters that was in this BL genre manhwa.

And when Kayla, who came to save her brother, was brutally killed by Estellla, Franz with tears tried to help himself.

[I was unable to protect your precious sister. I couldn't even protect her corpse. I'm sorry that I am so helpless. ]

In fact, Kayla was killed in an unusual way. Estellla said that he gave Kayla to be torn apart by his dogs, whom he had raised since childhood. There were no images of a girl torn to pieces by dogs in the book, but Aster's words were enough to terrify the reader.

[Did you get seven? Maybe it’s because you went hungry for a week, but now you’ve eaten well. It's been a while since my dogs have eaten much. ]

Aster smiled at these words with a beautiful but icy smile. I can only imagine how much time the artist spent on the drawing. Even though the image was black and white, I could not take my eyes off it ...

In any case, even though Ritaus was worried about Franz, he could not help him escape. Because Ritaus has been faithful to Aster since childhood.

Before I had time to rejoice that I would no longer have to deal with Ritaus, someone knocked on the door. A few seconds later, the butler Alto appeared on the doorstep. His whole appearance spoke of tension.

-Lady Kayla, Sir Ritaus has arrived.

Is he a normal person? To be honest, I thought I would contact him the day after I sent him a special telegram. Although it has been a long time since I informed him of the breakup of our engagement, Ritaus did not even answer me. But he constantly wrote to Franz. To end any relationship between Ritaus and Franz, I stole letters from my ex-fiancé and blocked all communication routes, such as the messenger bird. Apparently, Ritaus lost his temper, once he visited our house without prior notice.

    - Okay, I'll get ready now and go out. Tell me, Alto, father and mother are missing now?

    - Yes, the Marquis has already gone to the corps of knights, and Milady has left for the Salon.

    - So I'm the only one Ritaus can meet?-

Just in time, Franz, with six escorts, set out on a hike in the Eastern Forest. He went on a hike to watch migratory birds, so he will definitely be gone for the next few days.

    - Nice day, isn't it?

    - I had a good feeling. I think I can slap him today. I chose the best dress, dressed as brightly as possible, and then went into the Salon to meet Ritaus.

At the sight of me, Ritaus stood up and kissed the back of my hand. I don't know how I kept myself from being hit.

-Haven't seen you for a long time, Sir Ritaus. Have a seat.

I smiled as brightly as I could and poured myself some tea that Remi brought me. The tart taste of the red drink and the sour aroma perfectly complemented each other - I heard that tea with dried raspberries has a delicate aftertaste. The cook who collected it did this personally until he found a snake among the branches of a bush. My mom became afraid of raspberries after hearing this story, ho ho ho.

As soon as I shut up, there was silence in the room. Ritaus rarely spoke to me. Our conversations almost always resembled monologues on my part. I didn’t want to talk to myself, but I wasn’t going to listen to the silence either. It is worth talking about something again. All the same, Ritaus already considers me an empty-headed girl, unable to talk about anything sensible.

-You want to break off the engagement, Ritaus got down to business.

How straightforward. Now I don't have to force myself to talk.

    - I do not want. I already tore it up, Sir Ritaus.

His fierce gaze pierced right through me. Well, he had only looked at Franz with warmth before, but this was the first time I saw so much coldness in his eyes. Before that, in my presence, Ritaus always kept an expression of polite indifference on his face.

    - Marriage is a matter for our families. It's not up to you to decide. Fortunately for you, my father did not see the telegram. I will pretend that nothing happened, but be careful from now on.

Ritaus got to his feet, leaving the cup of tea untouched in front of him. My true character, which I was trying to suppress in myself, almost burst out from the arrogant disdain of Ritaus. Oh, I can't pretend to be the real Kayla Vesta.

-If so, I will send an urgent telegram to Count Eiser again. I think it's worth using the seal of the Vesta family this time.

    - Without the Marquis Vesta? - he did not believe that my father would advocate breaking the engagement.

    - My father gave me permission. He said he trusted me and my decision.

I was honestly lying. My father said that he respected my will, but I personally would have to deal with the consequences of breaking the engagement. Of course, the letter will have to be sent on your own behalf.

    - What an absurdity ...

Concealing my irritation, I squeezed the hem of my skirt.

    - I don’t want to sound rude, but what is your attitude towards me? Don't you think that one could ask why I decided so?

Feelings and marriage among aristocrats rarely go hand in hand. And yet, Ritaus doesn't even want to know the

reason for our breakup. All he needed was to maintain the existing relationship. Thanks to our engagement, he could get closer to Franz.

    - …why? - look, he asked. Quickly, you will not say anything.

    - I'm not going to get married. All my thoughts are occupied with strengthening the family ties of my family.

The excuse is rather strange, but I'm sure Ritaus won't dare to speak out openly. Rather, it will act from behind the scenes.

-In addition, admission to Kratie and knighthood are approaching.

Ritaus cut me off abruptly when I mentioned something related to Franz:

    - What do you mean by family? And shouldn't Franz be Vesta's next heir? How easy it is to read Ritaus.

    - Franz hates fights and he is not very social. It is difficult for him to communicate with people and, moreover, to unite with them in groups.

    - I know it.

-Do you think Franz, who was bullied at the Academy, will get along with the knights?

    - From now on I will help him. No one would dare to harm Franz. As if I'm talking to the wall. A sigh escaped involuntarily:

    - Franz doesn't want that. I only help him to live the way my brother wants.

    - I know. However, observing and exploring birds, buds and plants can also be a hobby.

I feel my blood pressure rise. Words don't affect him at all! As if that weren't enough, Ritaus tries my patience over and over again:

-I hope Franz will become a knight and head of the family. The Eiser and Vesta families have been trying to unite for a long time.

A-ah-ah! Now Ritaus is trying to convince me, just like my father!

    - Does the head of Vesta have to become a knight? At the last word, my decision became final:

    - I have a very good reason.

Father, know that the Eiser family has indeed set their sights on our home.

-I'll be frank with you: I don't want to have anything to do with Sir Ritaus.

Ritaus sighed wearily, as if he didn't understand what was happening.

-You don’t want to have anything to do with me?

Agrh! What is it in my words that he does not understand?

    - Absolutely.

    - Then…

    - Give me a sec. I am completely indifferent to Sir Ritaus, which means I don't care what you think about it. I squinted, trying to figure out if I had offended Ritaus with these words. Today, for the first time in his life, a woman rejected him, and in fact many Ladies in the Empire admired his behavior, manners, appearance.

Anyway, stop thinking about the future of my family. I am going to enter and graduate from Kratie Boarding Academy.

-… ha! Ritaus didn't seem surprised at what I said. Emotions in the eyes have not changed a bit.

    - Did you know that Franz has a fairly high level of fencing?

I knew. But I wasn't going to answer.

    - Now the Lady is stealing Franz's capabilities.

Is it okay that this is an opportunity that he does not want? But I absolutely did not want to answer the words of this man.

-Then you must already be taking fencing lessons.

The glove that Ritaus was wearing is gone. When I nodded, Ritaus threw the glove at me. She flew over the table.

    - Do you know what that means? Between the knights.

What? Unlike the character I knew, he was very cocky. In the original story, Ritaus was a very kind and caring person, but was that really only about Franz?

    - Let's get together in sparring. If you can defeat me at least once, yours took. You're a loser. What? Will you divorce me? I clenched my fists and glared at Ritaus.

    - Okay, I agree.

Ritaus was the first to go to the training ground, accompanied by the servants, and I went to my room and changed into a training suit. I washed off my makeup, tied up my black hair and left the room. When I entered the arena with the intention of somehow winning the match, Ritaus was already ready.

    -! ..

At that moment, I saw how Ritaus's eyes widened as he looked at me. He stared at me blankly until I came closer to him.

    - Something happened?

    - Ah ... Excuse me.

Ritaus, who quickly gained momentum, received a training rapier from a teacher.

-I just thought you looked like Franz.

    - ...

Looking for Franz even now. A sign of true love.

Of course, Franz and I had very similar faces. From dark hair to blue eyes and beautiful features. But this is not so mysterious, because we were brother and sister.

As each of them donned protective clothing, Ritaus opened his mouth again.

    -You'd better not wear makeup.

He paused, putting on protective gloves. Can I say something rude? No, let's stop. It must have been some kind of compliment, and he didn't want to sound rude.

-I'm glad sir is not a chatty person. I won't be able to stop if I talk now.

    ***

The judge was chosen by a member of my family. The knight brought from the warehouse an hourglass that was smaller than the size of a palm. Judging by the size, the sand will fall in about 15-20 minutes.

    - Time limit - 15 minutes. If Lady Kayla defeats Sir Ritaus at least once, the victory is for Lady. If she never attacks, it will be a victory for Sir Ritaus.

I’m just recently in Kayla’s body, still swimming in the basics of fencing, but I was hoping that everything would be fine.

    This was my pride.
    - This is terrible.

    Chwang!

Along with the sound, the training rapier in hand flew off with one lunge. After that, I tried to grab onto the handle quickly so as not to become laughed at by Ritaus.

    - What else is this pose? You don't even know the basics of fencing.

I held on to the sword hilt with both hands to avoid meeting Ritaus, who was once again hunting my rapier. Now I am in basic kendo pose.

However, when Ritaus's rapier bent, she struck my rapier with her resilience. The recoil force was so strong that the blade easily fell out of my hand. This was repeated several times.

    - You know what? I take care of you as much as possible so that the blade does not touch the body. Even if you didn't mention it, I already understood everything.

-You know how elegant Franz's sword style was! You mustn't destroy this talent.

It was very humiliating. Even if it was just a fencing remark. If only I did it the way I wanted, then everything was different.

When I gritted my teeth, Ritaus's attack began again. Again, my rapier tried to slip out of my hand with a sound. I hurriedly grabbed the handle and straightened my wobbly position, but Ritaus did not let it go. The edge of Ritaus's sword was pointed at my face. At that moment, when I could not avoid panic, the sword of Ritaus stopped before my eyes.

    - The sand is almost poured. If this were a real war, you would have died a hundred times already. If this were a real war, my body had been hacked long ago. I couldn't deny it.

-The basics are important, but the most important thing is practice. Are you sure you can handle the enemies coming from all directions? The life of a knight is not as easy as you might think.

    Real, attacking enemies.

Ahh, I felt like I was hit over the head by Ritaus's words.

    - Practice is more important than the basics ... Ritaus made me realize that I had forgotten.

I turned my head to the hourglass. There were about three minutes left until the end.

    - Wait, let's change weapons!

    -! ..

I dropped the rapier and drew the sword from the judge's belt.

    - M-Miss Kayla!

    - Give me that.

I took out the sword from its scabbard and threw it at the knight, and in my hands only the scabbard remained. Lightweight hard leather sheath.

-I will use this for the rest of the battle.

    - Are you kidding me? You can't even beat a child with this. Ignoring Ritaus' bickering, I went straight to the attack.

That's it. They are hollow, there is no feeling of being hit or that I could hurt anyone. But that doesn't matter in this battle. I only need to hit Ritaus once.

I closed my eyes, trying to concentrate. I aimed at the gap formed by Ritaus. Ritaus, who was not careful, raised his sword and tried to stop me, but my eyes, free from sword wielding, followed Ritaus's movement. My eyes, which were obsessed with his consistent movements and could not see anything, opened.

In the end, I managed to hit Ritaus one single time, just by finding the right approach. -If the sword in my hands were real, you would lose your head.

I was very comfortable with this sword so that I could easily stick the end into Ritaus's neck. The sand was still pouring in the watch.

    - I still don't know a lot about the basics, but thanks for the advice. Sir Ritaus.

In the end, after this battle, the engagement to Ritaus was broken off. Fortunately, Ritaus was a man of his word.

    CHAPTER 3: FIRST MEETING

Finally, the day came for my departure to the Kratie Boarding Academy. Mom held my hand tightly, refusing to let go

    - If something happens, immediately send the bird-telegram. I gave you some money, so when it's over, tell me about it.

-Thank you and don’t worry, Mom. I can take care of myself.

    - Since Kratie accepts the children of aristocrats, why doesn't he allow them to have at least one accompanying person? There are many monsters around this Academy

One had to come to the private boarding academy alone. Servants and maids are strictly forbidden to accompany aristocrats.

-I won't be able to sleep at night because I’ll worry about you. She was so nervous about my departure to the Boarding Academy that she cried, covering herself with a handkerchief.

    - Honey, calm down. Kratie is the second safest place after the Imperial Palace due to the magical barrier.

My father, who was supposed to take me to the Burg station, could not even get into the carriage, because he calmed my mother. Franz, who accompanied me with my mother, had a flushed face:

    - Sister, if it is difficult for you, come back. I am used to using Shitsuro and I am confident that I will not suffer as much as before.

Although I said I wanted to become a knight, Franz believed that I was doing it because of him. Smiling, I lightly patted Franz on the cheeks

    - I'm proud of you. Don't give your parents another reason to worry about you.

    - Of course, sister. Do not worry about me.

Someone thinks that I'm taking away the chance from Franz. Someone that I am saving him. But they are all wrong. I just need to survive. And for Franz, changing history is only good. Isn't it bad to live and not suffer the oppression of others?

Finally, we got into the carriage and drove to the station. Franz waved after us for a long time, standing next to his mother. Even though we had already driven far enough, I could see how my brother's face wrinkled, as if he was about to cry. Mom stroked his arm, and Franz buried himself in her shoulder. I felt weird watching this. Without memories of the past, I just looked at the actions of others, unable to talk about what happened at school.

There was bitterness in my mouth.

    ***

The journey from Vesta's house to the Burg station took about two hours. The road was paved with blocks, so the ride was comfortable.

    - Did you take the transfer documents? Train ticket? - my father threw an anxious look at me.

    - Documents in the bag. It's okay, father. I shook my bag and smiled. The father sighed:

    - I'm not sure everything is all right.

Turning away, my father began to watch the servants carrying my luggage. It was decided to use a fly train due to the soon departure time.

    - I can handle it, dad, - I turned away, leaving my father behind. The mood was completely depressed. There is a future ahead that no one believes in, even if I show confidence. But I don't need to convince people otherwise. This is a truth about the world that I learned from my past life.

Plus, Franz now has Shitsuro, which is a big advantage. I made my way to the platform, hoping that my ide a would succeed. The platform was relatively quiet because only people with train tickets could get on it.

There were two types of trains operating at Burg station: steam and magic. The magic train was a kind of warp concept, a magic sphere that could arrive anywhere in 5 minutes. Since a ticket for a magic train is 100 times higher than the price of a steam locomotive, not every aristocrat could afford to use it often.

So there were a lot of aristocrats trying to get on a regular train like me. This is probably the only such railway station where you can see commoners and nobles in the same place.

Meanwhile, the crowd on the platform roared with delight:

    - Magic train!

    - I've never seen him before.

    - Dad, look there! Over there! It's a magic train!

The eyes of the people glittered with admiration. The special rails along which the magic train moves were cut off in the air as a vertical rise from the ground. I wonder how this train rushes across the sky? The magic train sped past the platform, leaving starlight behind.

    - He rushes across the sky!

    - Wow, this is amazing!

The magic train, which fell off the rails, seemed to take off and immediately disappeared into the air. There was still a shimmer all around.

    - Ah ... He's gone.

-In five minutes he'll be in another country, right?

    - Oh, how I would like to ride it once!

Even to other countries, the travel time is only about five minutes, and a steam locomotive that operates on banal laws of physics cannot keep up with the magic train, no matter how advanced the technology is. Taking into account this fact, one can even say that the price for this train was understated.

When the magic train left, there were only onlookers and guards in black uniforms. The magic train was often used by criminals because it was a train that could travel to foreign countries in a short time. Therefore, the Imperial Palace carefully examined the personalities of the passengers of the magic train. I guess the guards are here for that.

While people were slowly moving along the platform waiting for the train, I noticed a girl sitting on a bench. She looked older than me. The girl's face was beautiful, despite the deep hood, and I kept looking back at her. Cold beads of sweat on her pale face, pale pink lips adorned her in a strange way. The dark purple dress was of quality fabric. I think she comes from a wealthy aristocratic family.

    - Lady Estella, are you okay? Drink some water. The girl took a few sips.

    - You have a headache?

    - Can't you go at all?

The women around the girl were eagerly fanning the girl named Aster; most likely, these are her maids. The girl let go of the fan, showing how tired she was. One of the maids folded her fan, put it in her hands, and

wiped the girl's sweat with a handkerchief.

    -Can't you talk?-

Oddly enough, the girl commanded with head and hand gestures. Only in this way did the maids divine her wishes. Apparently, this girl is the daughter of a high-ranking official.

-The princess cannot be here. Maybe the Grand Duchess? -

The maids' clothes were of good fabric, so that the beauty was hardly from an ordinary family. Why didn't she ride the magic train

The girl suddenly turned, and our gazes crossed. Her violet eyes flashed like amethysts, and I couldn't even blink. The girl smiled brightly at me with a chilling smile. Why is this facial expression so beautiful? I wanted to keep looking at her. She looked like a siren killing people by luring them into the water.

When the girl tilted her head slightly to the side, pink hair emerged from under the black hood. At that moment, the girl shuddered and wrapped herself even deeper in a black hood, hiding her hair behind a cloth. The strange exchange of glances ended.

I do not understand. Why do I feel déjà vu? It’s like I’ve seen the girl’s face before. This is a manhwa world, and all the objects, people in front of me were originally drawings. Therefore, at first I did not even realize that I was in the world of -Magic Mirage-, and it was difficult at first sight to recognize the main characters. I can't even remember what kind of character this girl is?

The Magic Mirage is a BL manhwa with an unusually small proportion of female characters. At best, it was Kayla Vesta, who died in the middle of the story, and Marianne Dmirov, whom I met during my engagement ceremony last summer.

She is beautiful, but Marianne is not sitting on the bench right now. So who is this? Is it another aristocratic girl that I encountered in a secular society? Why don't I remember her? I felt uneasy.

    ***

The Kratie Boarding Academy can be reached by regular train in about 40 minutes. There was a kiosk inside the platform, as well as a small souvenir shop. As in a past life, if there was a duty-free shop that sold expensive items at a lower price than the marketplace, that would be good for the business.

Good idea! If the magic train continues to exist anyway, and travels abroad, it would be worthwhile to occupy this profitable niche. No. Now is not the time for empty fantasies.

Thanks to the butler, Franz and Ritaus will not be able to keep in touch with each other. But troubles can arise if Ritaus suddenly visits our house.

The work is not finished yet. Even though Franz owns Shitsuro and leaves Kratie, this is not enough. We need to find a place where we could properly hide Franz until he becomes Master Shitsuro.

A good place. So that there are few people overlapping with each other, and that there are no boys. And at the same time, I could contact him at any time.

-Maybe Franz would be the safest among women?- Guaang! Pengel!

Just as a brilliant idea was about to come to mind, there was the sound of rock cracking and metal breaking.

The eyes of the excited crowd focused on the magic train that was running along the rails and was about to turn left in a moment.

    - Chiaaya !!!

The magic train hovered in the air, and next to it stood a huge two-legged demon, with huge muscles, with red skin and swollen blood vessels.

    - Khaaa !!! The huge demon roared loudly.

    - Bloody demon! The bloody demon attacked the magic train!

There were always a lot of people at the station, so it was always a place where magic was gathered. Surprised by the sudden situation, I watched people running back and forth. How is it? Have there been any similar attacks at this time of year? I tried to remember the original, but I couldn't remember anything other than Franz's trip.

Thinking about it, I remembered that whenever a monster appeared nearby, the cadet knights from Kratie would appear. After becoming a knight, Franz was often at the epicenter of the battle.

    - Emergency! Run away from the station and evacuate, came the loud voice of the guard, and he began to ring the emergency bell. The other guards did the same.

    - Grrr, khaaa !!! - The bloody demon hit the magic train with its huge front paws. The train, which could not bear it, crashed to the ground.

    - How did this demon get here ?!

    - Chiaia !!! Help me!!!

Shrill screams, crackling. People scattered in all directions, and the Blood Demon began to swat them one by one.

    Tun!

The blood rushed to the ground with a thud. People died one after another from the indiscriminate attacks of the Blood Demon.

I, too, planned to get away from the station as soon as possible. But her eyes caught on the girl in the black hood who was now sitting on the ground. All the maids and attendants who were next to the girl were crushed by the monster, and blood was flowing everywhere.

Why doesn't she run away? Does her legs hurt? -

Then the Blood Demon noticed the girl:

    - Grrr ...

    -Run, silly!-

The girl only wrapped herself deeper in her hood and did not budge. Haa ...

In the end, I couldn't just leave her. I quickly ran to the girl and grabbed her hand. Frightened violet eyes stared at me. Fear or Anger?

    - Can you run?

The girl shook her head. A sense of humiliation flashed across her face, and she gritted her teeth.

    - I can not.

I touched my lips to the back of my right wrist.

    - Schuette!

The girl's eyes widened as a heavy long sword appeared in my right hand, glowing with blue light. I put my free hand on the girl's back, hugged her and ran to the side.

    -Oh, she's pretty ... heavy.-

Despite the apparent fragility, the girl turned out to be surprisingly heavy. Even to the touch, she was denser than ordinary girls.

I just called Schuette just in case. Schuette was used as a weapon, but it also had an immediate strengthening effect on the muscles, so it was better to keep him close to you. I lifted the girl up like a princess and ran to where people were hiding. When I reached the end of the station, I carefully released the girl from my embrace. I tried to examine her in case of any injuries and noticed how she was trembling. Her face definitely reminded me of someone, but who?

    -You’re not hurt anywhere?

Strange, but the girl escaped my gaze with enviable persistence, as if she did not want me to see her face. What's the matter with her? But there was no time to hesitate.

    - Krrlok, Krlok ... - the head of the Bloody Demon turned to the crowd in which the girl was. Slowly, the demon walked towards the people, and with every step he took, the ground under his feet cracked. Wasted no more time, I ran towards the demon.

    - Hey Lady! Where do you go? This is dangerous! - someone shouted to me from behind, but I did not look back.

Even the guards were confused because no one could stop the Blood Demon. No matter how crazy I looked right now, I have Schuette in my hand. I will fight the monster using the power of the heirloom. I will try to buy time until people are evacuated from the station. And after they're safe, I'll run away.

I scrambled onto his shoulder in an instant, straddling the Blood Demon's body. No matter how large the demon's body was, for me he was not invincible. Probably my strength now is that I can easily surpass ordinary people. Awesome feeling! All the muscles in my body seemed to tell me what to do. Why didn't Franz use this beautiful artifact?

At that moment, the Bloody Demon, noticing that I was sitting on his shoulder, shook himself and roared:

    - Krlock, khaaa !!!

I shook at his scream, and hurriedly turned to the protruding blood vessels of the demon.

-Where should I aim? We need to look around. -

There was a loud scream behind me as I lifted Schuette:

    - Don't hit, Lady! No!

It was an old guard. But it was too late. My sword has already sunk into the demon's shoulder. The blood vessels have burst.

    - Khaaa !!!

Bright red blood splattered, staining my shoes and outerwear.

-Blood of the Blood Demon is like hydrochloric acid! He cannot be defeated with a sharp sword!

Why didn't you tell me earlier? Some of my leather shoes and skirts were already melting. My outer garment, from under which even my petticoat was visible, was not in the best condition.

-I loved these clothes so much!

And yet I was lucky that this fate bypassed the skin. Blood gushed from the Blood Demon's wounds, and he began to writhe even more in pain. Drops of hydrochloric acid splashed in all directions. Everything that the blood touched was dissolved in an instant.

I was thinking how to deal with it. If I hesitate, it looks like the demon will soon reach the people.

-Can I hit ... with the bottom?

I looked at Schuette in my arms. Ah, if it was a wooden sword. As soon as I thought about striking the bottom of the sword hilt, Schuette began to glow with a blue glow.

Schuette slowly reshaped in my hand, transforming into a familiar figure. Long and heavy, smooth wood texture, slightly curved ... The magic artifact took the form of a wooden training sword.

    - Mom, what just happened? Is this little sister a magician?

I heard the voices of people who were evacuated to a place nearby. They all witnessed Schuette's transformation process.

-You had such an awesome feature!

I was not aware that Schuette was capable of transforming into other weapons, perhaps because she studied Shitsuro. Although Schuette was still glowing blue, I had the same wooden sword in my hands that I was used to in a past life. When I first studied kendo, I preferred a wooden sword to any other.

The shape, weight, feel of the handle in the hand - everything was comfortable.

I grabbed the Blood Demon's mane and climbed from my shoulders to my head. She pulled herself together and hit him as hard as she could. As you would expect, Kayla's body was not strong enough, no matter how hard she trained. I have tried to strengthen my muscles, but it’s impossible to rebuild my body in a short period of time.

I picked up Schuette again and hit the demon over the head. It seems that the blow came out painful, because the Blood Demon began to beat on his head without stopping. There was not even a hint of pity in my heart.

Finally, the Blood Demon's body tilted sideways and ...

    Tun!

... a heavy body fell on the stone floor of the station. At the same time, thunderous shouts and applause rang out from the crowd:

    - The girl alone was able to defeat the Bloody Demon!

    - It's amazing who she is?

    - This Lady saved us!

I was stunned to hear people's applause. It's all? Is the battle over? When I turned towards the guards with a strange feeling, everyone stared at me blankly.

    -She defeated the Blood Demon.

An old man in a black uniform, probably the Captain, came out from behind the guards and gave the command. Only then the guards came to their senses and rushed to cover the demon's body with a magic net. Now the monster resembled Gulliver in the land of the Lilliputians.

    That's when it happened.

    - Lady Kayla?

I looked back at the voice calling me and was amazed. The students from Kratie arrived in blue, and Ritaus was in the forefront. Each of the students was armed with either a sword or a gun with magic bullets.

-Boarding Academy students were sent instead of the Guardian Knights.-

Ritaus, who had just been made a knight, was the strongest student to arrive. In the original, it was described at a very long time. Franz then followed him.

-The lady alone ... defeated the Blood Demon?- Ritaus asked with a somewhat tense look. I showed Schuette with a blue glow in my right hand:

    - As expected, the Vesta family Schuette is amazing.

    - Yes it is. How can such a fragile Lady deal with a demon on her own? I didn’t answer because it was true.

Ritaus slowly raised his head and looked somewhere over my shoulder. I turned around. Ritaus's gaze was fixed on the girl in the black hood.

    - Ast ... Aster! - Ritaus ran to the girl. The girl got up, swaying and gently holding Ritaus's hand. At that

moment, the hood flew off the girl's head, and her thick pink hair fell over her shoulders. Ritaus hastily pulled the hood back on. Do they know each other? The relationship between them is clearly deeper than a superficial acquaintance.

    Give me a sec.

A beautiful girl with thick hair named Aster and Ritaus. My heart was about to fall.

I have remembered. The personality of a girl ... that is, not a girl. This boy with long pink hair looks like a girl. Beauty that can both warm and freeze a person.

    Aster Lysch Yerbha.

Since childhood, Aster had to grow up in a girl's dress. He was cursed.

-If the child turns out to be a boy, he will die before the coming of age ceremony.-

In the original, Aster appeared in women's clothing at the age of 15-16. It wasn't long before Aster turned up as a legitimate adult on his sixteenth birthday. Therefore, I could not even remember that Aster was at the very beginning of the “Magic Mirage” as a girl.

The color image of Estellla was only on the cover, and that one was masculine. In addition, I saw Aster's female outfit in black and white. Therefore, I did not immediately realize that the girl with pink hair is Aster.

    -Stupid, stupid, stupid!-

At that moment, Aster, who was standing next to Ritaus, raised his head and looked at me. Amethyst-like eyes turned insolently to me. Why are you looking at me?

    -Why?-

Now I felt discontent. Do you think I could help you knowing who you are? I helped him, I didn't harm him! But why? I turned away, avoiding Aster's gaze. Just in time, the Captain of the Guard came up and asked me to testify on the spot. Without thinking, I rushed to the platform where the guards were standing. We need to make Franz the master of Shitsuro as soon as possible! Aster's dark purple eyes seemed to follow me relentlessly.

    CHAPTER 4: ASTER LYSCH YERBHA

There have always been spirits around Estellla. Only Aster, the descendant of the King, could see invisible spirits.

-You are the most beautiful child in the world. You are more beautiful than any girl.

This day was no different from the usual one, and the spirits whispered to Aster what was pleasant to hear. Aster, who had to wear women's clothes since childhood, considered herself a real girl.

He played with dolls like girls and played with a tea set. He really liked the story of the princess, which was

read to him before bed every night. Among them, Aster's favorite book was the story of a knight who came to the aid of a princess locked in a tower.

    - Someday such a wonderful knight will come to me and will be with me?

Aster thought that his cursed life was similar to the life of a princess who was imprisoned in a tower. So there was a time when he thought his sixth cousin, Ritaus, was a knight who would come to his aid.

-I'm going to be the bride of Ritaus. I will wear the same wedding dress as my hair color and the bouquet will be made of violets, the color of my eyes.

The grown-ups watched the small talk of seven-year-old Estellla sweetly, but now 11-year-old Ritaus spoke in a cold voice.

    -You can't marry me.

This was the first time the rude but caring Ritaus had rejected him.

    - But why? Why can't you marry me?

    - You are a man.

There was a moment of silence. Aster never thought of herself as a man.

    - I am a woman!

    - You are a man. You took a bath with me.

    - And what is it?

    - Women don't have pepper.

Aster flopped into place. Count Eiser and his wife began to severely reproach Ritaus.

-He doesn't know anything yet. Don't you think that nothing will change if you just agree?

This made Aster even more confident that he was not a woman. Even the spirits that always whispered in his ear did not say it was a lie.

He's a man. He firmly believed that he was a woman, but it turned out that he was a man. Later, when he grows up, he has to marry Ritaus, but he is a man. Even if I become an adult, I cannot marry Ritaus.

    Because he is a man…

Maybe since then. Aster's endless obsession with Ritaus began.

At first, he hated all women in the world who could marry Ritaus. So if there was a relative girl who wanted to get along with Ritaus, she would be very bad.

Then he began to mock the maids who served him. At first, it was just as cute, he used magic tricks that were limited to little things: stumbling, broken dishes containing rice, or cutting off the clothesline, as a result of which the laundry got dirty.

But the scope began to grow. Boiling water from the kettle doused the maid's face, causing severe burns.

The seamstress poked herself in the eye with darkness and threw down the ladder of the maid, who climbed the high ladder to dust off the chandelier hanging from the ceiling.

Only then Count Eiser and his wife realized the gravity of the situation. It became clear to them what evil deeds a child with the -power of the Spirit King- was committing when his mind was clouded.

They needed to take quick action. So they decided to trade all of Ritaus's maids for men. There were no more women around Ritaus.

Aster seemed to have stopped the evil, and Count Eiser and his wife breathed a sigh of relief. But that was a big mistake.

This time Count Eiser and his wife could not even imagine that the target would be people from the entourage of Ritaus.

The Duke of Lysch, Aster's maternal grandfather, was often too busy managing the territory to care for Aster. Therefore, he trusted Aster Ritaus, the eldest son of his relative, Count Eiser.

Ritaus faithfully followed the orders of Duke Lysch and Count Eiser. He did what Aster wanted, because it was not clear what Asterur could do without getting what he wanted.

He read books, played hide and seek, and played the role that Estellla wanted. If he wanted to dance together, he would dance, hug him when asked, and if asked to kiss, he would happily kiss Estellla's lips.

Over time, Aster gradually began to rely on Ritaus in his mind. Ritaus was the only one for him who had no parents, no brothers, no friends. But even this time ended when Ritaus turned 14 and entered the Kratie Boarding Academy.

    - Why don't you come to my house to play

    - I entered the Boarding Academy. I won't be able to come as often as I used to.

Ritaus, dressed in Kratie's uniform, looked like a stranger. Estellla's mood was spoiled. He is still here alone, and Ritaus is leaving this world. Leaving him ...

    - Then I'll go too.

    Ritaus sighed.

    - You know, Estella, you can't officially leave here!

    - My name is Aster. Not Estella!

    - Yes, you can call yourself Aster when we are alone. But it shouldn't be known from the outside that you are Aster

    - But why?

    - It is impossible to say about it yet. This is dangerous.

Little Estellla couldn't understand why he should keep wearing girlish clothes and pretend to be a girl, why he should always wear a hood and hide his pink hair that he can't even dye, and why he can't bear his real name.

And why can't he go out into the world ...

    - When can I get out?

    - ... When His Majesty the Emperor finds you.

    - He never looked for me!

-The emperor loved your mother. In no case will he pretend that he does not know his son.

Although Ritaus spoke so, Aster dimly realized that his father had forgotten about him.

There may be moments when he remembered and even thought about him, but he was never interested in him.

-Did the Empress kill my mother?-

-Your mom… she was worn out by the disease.

Because of Ritaus's hesitant response, Aster could tell that he was lying.

    -Liar! Liar!

    The spirits were noisy too.

When a person who cannot lie usually tells a lie, his face is completely different. An evasive gaze, knitted eyebrows and a voice that only becomes exceptionally loud when a person is lying. This was what he could have guessed without the help of the spirits.

    - Then why can't I show my hair color.

Estellla's pink hair was inherited from his mother, Lydiana. Lydiana inherited them from the long-dead Duchess of Lysch.

Callie was the last princess of the Spirit Kingdom -Alik- and was Aster's grandmother.

-Your hair is proof that you are a descendant of the last Spirit King.

    - Alik was destroyed.

    - Yes, it was destroyed. And Callie was the only surviving daughter of the Spirit King. -Shouldn't she be the last descendant of the Spirit King?

    - No…

At that moment, Ritaus paused and did not dare to tell the truth, not a lie.

    - How long should I wear a woman's dress?

He asked the most curious question. He will grow as tall and strong as Ritaus, his shoulders will become broader, and his voice will change. Will he be able to continue pretending to be a girl by then?

    - When you have a successful coming-of-age ceremony ...

    - When I turn 16, I will become an adult. Will I be able to wear men's clothing when I turn 16? Will I be able to go out into the world?

    -Maybe… you can.

If you are still alive by then..

The Duke of Lysch, his maternal grandfather, lost his mind after losing his wife, and even his daughter died early. Every day he felt pain, as if a worm was eating his heart. He didn't want this.

Even seeing the face of his only grandson was painful, and he went to look for his grandson's father, the Emperor.

-This is your blood, you must be responsible, was what he was going to say.

But the first person, of all people, who was there, was the Empress. The Empress, who considered his daughter a thorn in the side. He also knew that his daughter was in a bad position for her. Now he was always a sinner before the Empress.

-I heard about your daughter’s death. You must be in great pain.

As she said this, the Empress grinned. She could not hide her joyful look from his face, saying that it was sad.

-Lady Lydiana was a very talented person ... this is a huge loss indeed.

The daughter gave birth safely. She was healthy. Then Lydiana, who was in good health, suddenly died. Because she was exposed to an unknown poison.

The Duke of Lysch could not understand where the poison came from, or what it was, or who was the traitor in the mansion.

Duke Lysch had a premonition that the Empress was behind the sudden death of his daughter. He felt it. But there was no physical evidence. Just a guess.

    - Is the child a girl or a boy?

Asked the Empress. She asked about the gender of the child whom Lydiana had given birth to before her death. If it was true that the Empress was behind her daughter's death ... his grandson was also in danger.

Then the Duke of Lysch could not answer right away. This is because the half of the grandson was a -boy- who had the right to inherit the throne.

    - Ma ... no, it's a girl, a girl, she died as soon as she was born.

The Empress's red lips compressed into a thin line.

    - Are you sure?

    -Why do you ask?

The Duke of Lysch, afraid that the Empress would see his innermost thoughts, quickly nodded.

    - You must take responsibility for what you say.

The Empress uttered words that were not entirely clear. The Duke of Lysch was stunned.

A magical red seal appeared in the Empress's hands. It was the magic circle of the tower in the city of Berg, the Imperial City.

    - If your daughter's child is a girl, she will be healthy ... she will live a long time. But if the child is a boy, he will die before the coming-of-age ceremony. But if he is already dead, unfortunately, my blessing will become useless.

Duke Lysch nearly fainted on the spot.

An empress with magical powers could curse or bless, even if the ability was not strong.

Especially if the child is weak, blessings or curses worked easily. Aster was blessed and cursed at the same time, but since he is a boy, he will only be cursed.

The Duke of Lysch wept and pleaded with the Emperor as soon as he got an audience.

    - Please save my grandson. The Empress cursed him.

    - Why did you lie to her? Lies do not work on the Empress ...

The old Duke's fist wavered. He felt furious at being helpless before the Emperor. His daughter died because of her, and my grandson was cursed by her.

-He won't dare to claim the throne, so please.

    - The question of inheritance will depend on the jurisdiction of the law, not on the will of the Duke. -Please save him, Your Majesty. Only this child remained with the old man.

The Emperor's gaze, frozen in front of the old man's pleas, gradually wavered.

    - The boy's hair is also pink, like Lydiana's?

    - Yes, from hair color to pupils and facial features. He looks a lot like Lydiana.

The Emperor's eyes turned red. With these words, the Duke softened his heart a little. The emperor must have been heartbroken because he lost his beloved. But now it was necessary to urgently save the grandson.

-Dress this child up in girly clothes. This will help to avoid the curse to some extent.

    - Before the coming-of-age ceremony, which usually occurs at sixteen, hide the child until then. You should never disclose the fact of his existence.

    - I will remember it. I will not mention him in the Lysch family. -Make sure the Empress really believes the child is dead.

    - Of course. If only the child could be saved

    - Pink hair ... We must hide all the power of spirits and magical abilities that can be revealed. Lydiana, no. Hide anything that might show that he is a descendant of the Spirit King.

Tears ran down Duke Lysch's chin as he nodded. The old Duke's tears dripped onto the marble floor of the hall.

    - Keep in mind that he is the last blood of the Spirit King who has eaten away from this world ...

After the Emperor's words, Duke Lysch was completely convinced of what he only guessed. That the imperial palace was afraid of the Spirit King's descendants. His daughter Lydiana would not have died if she had not been associated with the Emperor.

This mistaken fate must have started with his first meeting with his late wife Callie, even before Lydiana was born.

Long and bad relationship between the fallen Spirit Kingdom, Alik and the Elbach Empire.

However, the poor Duke of Lysch wanted to save his only grandson, so he turned his back on it even though he knew the truth. He had no choice. He had to follow the Emperor's words with the feeling that he was stuck like a float on the water. Because the life of a grandson, who was immediately cursed, was more important.

Since then, Aster has grown up posing as a girl, even with a fake identity named Estella, ready for any accident.

    But…

    - There was a needle hidden in his collar, which was poisoned. It almost cost him his life.

Aster suffered from many attacks, as a result of which, because of the Empress, he almost died several times, so he had to go into hiding in the Duchy.

Firstly, the Empress did not believe the Duke that Estellla was dead and, regardless of the curse, the Emperor was not going to save the child.

It didn’t matte whether he was a son or a daugther…

Aster lived quietly, he could not move freely and he could not make friends because he could not get out, only Ritaus, his sixth cousin, was the only one with whom he had friendship.

The fact that Ritaus went out into the outside world alone was a wound and a shock for him. The world to which Ritaus belongs expanded, and the world around him became smaller.

    Aster was nervous.

He learned a thing or two from Count Eiser's new servant.

Ritaus has long been engaged to the eldest daughter of the Vesta family. Now he felt so bad that she no longer wanted to marry Ritaus.

-Why didn't anyone tell me about this?

    -What should I do?

He was unhappy with the Eiser family, which until now hid Ritaus's engagement. He hated Ritaus, who left alone. Everyone in the world grew old and grew, went their own way, but he could not do it.

The only person who entered his world was Ritaus, who, unlike him, lived his own life. He was jealous.

He decided to live up to the expectations and facts that were hidden because he was afraid to hurt him. -What woman is he going to marry? Will it scare me? -

Arrogant ways to annoy Kayla Vesta came to Aster's head. But he gave it up.

-We're engaged, but haven't seen each other for years. I heard she’s not that good.

    - Well, this is a political marriage, I don't care.

He realized that he was not interested in her. It wasn't funny to destroy what was of no value to Ritaus.

Aster's interest in Kayla Vesta quickly cooled off. But after a while, Ritaus started to get a little weird. Aster was sure. This time, a special creature appeared for Ritaus.

It was Franz Vesta, the younger brother of his fiancée, Kayla Vesta. They live in the same room at the Kratie Boarding Academy, and he learned that Franz is the youngest, whom Ritaus cares a lot about.

Aster felt bad. He felt the crisis. Likewise, one of the spirits gave a detailed account of the mind of Ritaus. But on the other hand, he was curious. So he could shut his mouth to the spirits, but he didn’t.

And the result was very unpleasant. The spirits told him that Ritaus's heart was very different from what he was showing to those around him.

Ritaus's heart felt for Aster only a sense of sadness, a sense of duty and affection due to a long time together. On the contrary, the feeling he held in his heart towards Franz was a feeling of connection, adoration and deep sadness.

Spirits cannot lie. Aster was struck by the whispers of the spirits, which they transmitted without hesitation. He couldn't bear it. Now for Ritaus, he was told, he was no longer in first place.

He's still so lonely ... Please, whoever it is ...

He asked to send a knight to get him out of this unhealthy reality.

Aster pleaded with a God in whom he did not believe. Like a princess trapped in a fairytale tower, he wanted to be saved.

CHAPTER 5: FEMALE DORMITROY OF KRATIE BOARDING ACADEMY

I found myself sandwiched between the knightly detachment of Kratie and got to the Academy on a steam

locomotive. In the meantime, Ritaus had gone off somewhere with Aster and never returned. Perhaps he went to the Duchy of Lysch, where Aster's grandfather was, or to his family, County of Eiser.

There was a train station at the Kratie Academy, so I was able to enter the Academy as soon as I got off the train. Wow, this is handy. After a moment of admiration, when we got off the train, we were clung to the waiting students.

    - Well done, Lian-sunbae!

    -You weren't hurt today, Ares-sunbae?-

The charges took knightly swords and guns and handed them towels and, soon, the eyes of the charges focused on me and them.

Damn it ... some of my clothes were burned due to blood, my soles were destroyed. I can't even straighten my hair ...

    - She is from the Vesta family, daughter of the Commander of the Guardian Knights ...

    - Franz Vesta dropped out of school?

    - His older sister moved to his place.

A small whisper, a vague murmur, and, as a result, there was already a mixture of stories about Franz, after which the rumor spread.

    - I heard that she asked for a knight class. But wasn't it Franz, the sophomore, who used Schuette?

-No, it just so happened that she defeated the Blood Demon using Schuette at Burg Station this time.

-I suppose she will become the head of the Vesta family if she gets Schuette, so she came to Kratie instead.

I have already become a famous person at the Kratie Academy due to the incident with the Blood Demon at Burg station.

I was assigned a room on the third floor, while my escort was leading me, my luggage had already been carried there. In the same room was a girl with brown hair and brown eyes, already dressed in a chemise.

-Ophelia, this is your new roommate, so please tell her the details about the location of the dining room and bathroom. You have to do this before tomorrow's lessons.

    - Okay, sunbae.

After the girl left, I looked around the room where I was staying. It was not very spacious, with only one bunk bed, two cream-colored writing desks, a beautifully decorated dressing table, and a large wardrobe attached to the wall. Perhaps the dressing table was intended for general use, and the closet had an even number of shelves, so it was probably meant for two.

I thought I could sleep on the second floor because my roommate, a dark-haired girl, had already occupied a bed on the first floor. I started unpacking my suitcases to change, I was about to take off my clothes and wash them in the bathroom, but a girl came up to me.

    - Kayla Vesta?

    - What? Oh…

I greeted, lifting the skirt of my dress, as my teacher taught me. He said that wherever I went, I should greet the person ...

    - Very nice. Kayla, the eldest daughter of the Vesta family. Nice to meet you... -My apologies, she said. She shuddered and raised her hand slightly.

    - Ophelia Kautz, I'm not a noblewoman, leave everything as it is, Kayla Vesta.

He said that she was sixteen years old, it turns out she is a year younger than me, and this year she was supposed to have a coming-of-age ceremony.

    - I can't leave it like that. What grade are you in?

    - Third class…

    - This is my class. Let's be friends!

I should be in 4th grade based on my age, but I entered 3rd grade because I was transferred. From now on, I had four years left until the last, seventh grade. I certainly had no intention of staying here for four years.

After all, the Kratie Academy had a practical system. If the grades were good during the semester and you got a high score on the test, you could go to senior class. (Eligibility for the promotion exam, referral).

-A lady like you spoke to me for the first time. Ophelia blushed.

    - Even if the reception was the same, without any status restrictions, I cannot ignore the class division.

-It is said that at the Kratie Academy you do not have to follow your status, as soon as you come here, every person is equal. All were the same disciples, all were equal.

    - Only outside. If I leave the Academy, I will return to my status.

-In my previous life, my world was an egalitarian society without status. Of course, there was a large social gap, but there was no legal status. That is why I really liked Kratie's desire to maintain equality. -

    - A commoner without status is no different from a nobleman. Let's leave it as it is, Ophelia. Stretching out her hand to me, Ophelia smiled timidly and grabbed my hand.

    - I was surprised to see that a noblewoman appeared in my room. I was nervous.

    - Why are you nervous?

    -Hmm… I think it's because I'm a little shy.

-I think there is something else?-

I didn't insist. Ophelia helped me sort out my luggage while I talked.

    - The dining room serves delicious food here. I do not know the opinions of others, but I like it.

    - Wow, I'm looking forward to it.

I put the clothes from the suitcase in the drawer. Then Ophelia looked at me thoughtfully and doubtfully.

    - No, Kayla might not like it, because she lived in the mansion, eating the dishes of a professional chef. Ah, that's it.

    - I don't care, any food will be delicious.

    - Yes? Good. There is actually a dessert shop outside the Academy. Let's go together later. I will lead you.

    - Yes OK.

Ophelia was shy, but said what she thought. At first, unlike the first impression that she seemed to me to be an introvert, she was a very talkative girl.

    - Bathrooms are shared. Because of this, the nobles are unhappy.

    - Public bathrooms. It's been a long time since I last used them.

    - Has Kayla already used the public bathroom?

    - Ah?

As soon as Ophelia reacted to my internal dialogue, which I unconsciously voiced, I fell silent.

-How can I answer the fact that I used it in a previous life?

I decided to be honest with Ophelia, whose eyes were shining in anticipation of an answer.

    - I've been using it for a long time.

    - Yes. Kayla is very unusual. Aristocratic students dislike most public baths.

    - Why?

    - They don't like to show themselves. Are you okay with that?

    - I do not care.

I hung up all the green clothes and uniforms in my closet and took a change of shirt, towels and toiletries. It was very difficult to put these things in the bamboo basket.

    - Which direction should I go to the bathroom?

    - I'll go with you! You can get lost out of ignorance.

Ophelia stepped forward, slipping on slippers and a shawl over her shirt. It's pretty cold now because autumn is approaching.

    - Bathroom on the ground floor. It is always open, but they clean it up in the morning, so you can't enter. You must leave no later than one in the morning.

    - Yes. It must be difficult to clean it every day. -You are the first noble Lady to say so.

Ophelia laughed when I answered her, every time she asked me something. It was only nine o'clock, but the hallways were very quiet.

    - Why do they go to bed early here? Is it always so quiet?

    - The head of the women's Dormitory is very strict. She doesn't like it when we leave after eight.

    - Can I go to the bathroom?

    - Yes, we can go there, but we must speak quietly when we walk down the corridor.

Pam! There was a loud banging on the marble floor in the hallway.

    - Quiet!

Ophelia covered her mouth with both hands, not speaking at the sound of the woman's harsh voice.

    - The teacher's room is also on the first floor. We must be silent from now on.

I was surprised when we walked carefully, like cats, and finally got to the cherished bathroom. The floor, fountain and large marble bathroom were filled with warm water.

    - Wow, better than I imagined.

    - What are you doing? We're girls.

    - No, this is the first time I see an aristocrat who undresses, not caring that others see him ...

Come to think of it, nobles say they don't like being seen naked. From that moment on, I thought that I should be careful with this moment.

    - By the way, Kayla, you are really in good shape.

    - This is because I train every day.

    - What exercises do you focus on?

    - Until I came here, I was engaged in horse riding.

Recently I have been doing body shaping exercises. To get the basic stamina of a knight, I had to be in good enough shape, but right now my body's stamina was not enough.

I washed my body lightly and climbed into a hot tub.

    - Ophelia, would you like to come in?

Ophelia shook her head as she stood by the bath. For some reason, that look seemed a little restless. What's wrong? It seems to have something to do with the stories of public bathrooms and nobility we talked about earlier. I wanted to ask about it, but Ophelia changed the subject.

    - So, Kayla, I heard a rumor ...

Ophelia looked at me, completely immersed in hot water, and asked carefully.

-Is it true that you are engaged to sixth grade Ritaus?-

-I heard that Ritaus was quite popular at the Kratie Academy. Is Ophelia interested in Ritaus?

    - We were engaged, but the engagement was canceled. Now nothing connects us.

-I don’t want to hide it. Besides, I had no feelings for Ritaus.

-Oh, seriously? How did it happen? Sir Ritaus took great care of Franz. It was nice to look at him. Really loving ... No, isn't that a wonderful friendship? I can't tell you how much my friends liked him when we first saw him.

I was a little curious as to why he was attracted to her friends, but the temperature of my hot bath made me relax even more.

    - But why did you break up? Oh, you don't need to speak if you find it difficult to answer.

    - For family reasons. I made this decision and broke off the engagement.

I said it as if nothing had happened. So people's curiosity quickly fades away.

    - Right. Sir Ritaus is beautiful, and you are so beautiful that you would look good together. Oh, forgive me please!

    I didn't answer, but I laughed.

-I don't know how many times I've heard that I look good next to Ritaus. Did we look good together? There was also the opposite other pair. My brother Franz and his fiancée Marianne Dmirov. I know that Marianne also attends the Kratie Boarding Academy. -

-Do you know about Lady Dmirov, third grade? I asked carefully about Marianne.

    - Dmirov ... You mean Lady Marianne Dmirov? We are not friends. And what?

I realized that she seemed to add -Lady- when she named some aristocratic student.

    - Do you know her?

    - Yes, I know her. We have a class together, but we never spoke. At first glance, she is beautiful.

-Marianne is beautiful. Aster in a woman's dress, whom I saw at the Burg station, was also beautiful, but belonged to a different category from Marianne. If Aster was as beautiful as a fairy, then Marianne looked like a ripe, desired rose. -

    - Lady Marianne is also popular with male students. I don't know how many love letters she gets a week.

    - She's pretty famous.

    - But she always refuses fans, as if she cuts with a knife. She says that she has a fiancé who is a student of the Academy.

They got engaged last year. Secular society was buzzing, discussing that Duke Dmirov would become Franz's future father-in-law.

    - The groom is my brother. Franz Vesta.

    - Truth?

Ophelia was more amazed than when I said I had broken up with Ritaus.

    - Marvelous. I really didn't know! They weren't seen together at all.

-Are they pretending not to know each other, being in the same Academy?-

    - Wow, I can't imagine. These two people together ... She seemed to know what Ophelia was trying to say.

-You don’t think they don’t fit together?

    - A? No, no, it's just a little surprising.

-Ophelia didn't seem to be telling the truth because I was Franz's sister.-

    - I know. They don't fit.

    - No, not really, that's their business. I don't think it's our job to judge them.

Ophelia was shy and talkative, but surprisingly, she seemed a straightforward person. There are places where she was embarrassed and timid, but she said what she seemed to want to say only in secret.

    - Which family first proposed the engagement?

    - I remember that the Dmirov family was the first to propose.

If you think about it, Vesta and Dmirov had no contact. So I remember that Franz and Marianne's engagement made my parents nervous.

    - Right. The Dmirov family must have liked Franz a lot.

    - …The way it is.

To be honest, I think this engagement is pretty bad for Marianne. She looked very mature and beautiful, while my little brother was the complete opposite. I'm not saying Franz is ugly.

I also remember that Franz was not that popular with women. Instead, he was famous among men. Maybe it's because it was the world in BL 19+ manhwa. Initially, Franz was not popular with women, was not interested in the opposite sex and, moreover, did not know about love. Franz's role is to bring this purity of love to the whole world.

So I honestly think of Franz that way. And his engagement to Marianne is likely to end, even if Aster doesn't step in. They're just an engaged couple, and they don't care about each other, and Franz, in turn, didn't care about women at all. This is the worst thing that one could get hold of as a groom.

And in the distant future, Franz may run away with some young man, because he loves men. Then only Marianne will suffer. In the original, Franz and Marianne were as dry as me and Ritaus. There were no scenes of affection, it was spirituality, and most of all Franz was uncomfortable with the coldness and seriousness of Marianne.

-Better to leave now. Marianne must meet a more empathetic person.

-Then it would be nice if they parted, like Ritaus and I did.

    ***

With the exception of basic subjects such as literature, mathematics, foreign languages and history, the Kratie Boarding Academy had to draw up its own timetable.

As I filled out the schedule, I remembered the days when I attended a telecommunications college in a previous life. I was online at that time and waited all night for the registration server to open.

In this case, I had to write the subjects, fill out a paper application form and submit it directly to the school office.

    - Kayla Vesta, a third-year student from the knight class. The core subjects need to be taught in your own class. You know? Are you confident in the humanities?

    - Yes.

    - You only requested difficult items.

The office staff looked at me and said this with a puzzled face. The liberal arts that I applied were

management and accounting. This happened because I deliberately chose only high-grade subjects to pass the subject.

    - This is true.

Four core subjects were to be studied by female students in the female dormitory, and in the humanities course, men and women could attend classes in the same class.

The Kratie Boarding Academy was a coeducational school and, according to school rules, the status was not regulated. At first glance it seemed progressive, but in reality it was a very conservative place.

First, there were separate classes that only male students could attend and subjects that could be attended by female students. Only men could qualify for five subjects: cricket, boxing, sociology, hunting, wildlife and survival.

On the other hand, only girls could qualify for subjects such as: cooking, sewing, cleaning, parenting guidance, and becoming wise wives. These subjects also required at least two of them before graduation.

Moreover, only after 100 years, the students were able to enter the knightly classes. This was the result of the struggle and victory of aristocrats who had no sons and who had problems inheriting the title. Although in the current class of knights there are only a few female students, including me.

By the current rules, there weren't many classes that included girls. If I go to the Salon, it will be full of men. It must have been someone who bothered Franz.

I remember the original story. Among them were supporting actors.

Before going to my class, I headed to the first floor, following the directions from the staff to get to the school office. The answer came as soon as I knocked twice on the door of the room.

    - And who are you?

    - My name is Kayla Vesta, a student of the third grade, I entered yesterday.

    - Oh, come in.

When I entered the office, a middle-aged woman in a good mood greeted me with a smile.

    - Kayla Vesta? You were enrolled in class E. You can come with me.

-Then it was you. The man that Ophelia and I were worried about when we talked in the hallway yesterday. -

It was not a teaching system like the one I was used to, there is no classroom here, but everything was supervised by one director.

-You only need to study basic subjects in class E. And don't run down the hallway, you need to act like a Lady.

    - Yes, I'll take that into account.

    Smile.

    - Ah, you also have a beautiful smile.

I think my business smile was very good. It is easy to deal with it. After hearing from the principal about the boarding school rules, I went to class E.

    ***

    - Come on, this is your class. Come on in.

When I opened the cream-colored stucco door, several girls my age were staring at me. The number of students in the class was about twenty. Ophelia studied in the same class as me.

Everyone is wearing the same uniform. Of particular note was the group of girls adorned with accessories such as hair jewelry, cufflinks and earrings. At first glance, they appeared to be noblewomen, while the simply dressed young girls sitting on the other side looked like commoners. Some even gave the impression of being shy.

    - This is the new student, Kayla Vesta. Please welcome her. I am looking forward to the courtesy of our Kratie students.

The greeting was confusing, and I put one foot back slightly and bent one knee to greet them.

    - I'm Kayla from the Vesta family. Looking forward to your kind cooperation. Perfect posture.

The sound of clapping hands was very subtle. Is it because there were so many girls here? The general atmosphere in the classroom seemed calm.

    - Take the empty space at the end of the class.

I sat down at my desk as instructed by the teacher. At first I felt the gaze of the girls on me, and then I heard muttering.

Ophelia sat diagonally from me and smiled at me, so I greeted her with a wave of my hand. Then Ophelia turned her head with a serious face.

    -A? What with her?-

The reason will be known only after the first lesson. -Miss Kayla Vesta, nice to see you.

When I first entered the classroom, a standout group approached me. They were four girls with elegant hair ornaments and earrings, and even their hair and nails were shiny.

Perfect aristocrats, bright eyes, porcelain white skin, transparent as if they had never been exposed to sunlight.

If you touch the porcelain from the neck to the wrists, it seemed to break. So pure and innocent.

    - I am Leodora Schreman, glad to meet you.

Leodora held out her right hand to me. Unlike men's handshakes, the ring and little fingers are slightly bent. I grabbed Leodora's arm.

-It is a great honor for me to meet you, Grand Duchess.

I used a greeting that I learned from my etiquette teacher.

Although the Shreman family was one of the Imperial families emanating from the Emperor, Leodora's father, Grand Duke Shreman, was a minor figure in the original storyline.

    Good.

Since Leodora belonged to the Imperial family, it was only natural that I should be polite first.

-But can I say that at the Kratie Boarding Academy? Just in case, I looked around. -

As expected, the eyes of the commoners turned to me. They took up little space, so I might have noticed some unpleasant looks.

It so happened that Ophelia looked at me with the same face. Then, when I made eye contact with her, she turned away again.

-There is something suspicious about this reaction.-

At that moment, a girl with glasses and braided hair, passing by us, lost her step and hit Leodora.

    Knock.

    - O! Sorry, Lady Leodora!

The punch to the shoulder didn't seem like a big deal, but the student looked very frightened.

    - What a carelessness.

    - Forgive me, I'm very sorry.

The girl with the glasses crossed her arms and begged Leodora.

    - Can't you see I'm busy right now? I'll talk to you later.

The girl in the glasses hastily returned to her seat in horror. But Leodora shrugged her shoulders and did not even look at the girl. Irritation flashed across her face, as if she had buried it in something dirty. They were classmates, but seemed to treat them like the maids of their own mansion. Regardless of whether you are a relative of the Imperial family, here in Kratya, equality.

When I looked around the classroom, some of the commoners who met my eyes were avoiding them, like Ophelia sitting diagonally over there.

-Are you interested in the Salon, Lady Kayla?

Leodora's graceful smile further intensified the quiet discontent in the class.

    - Living room?

At my question, Leodora turned her head.

    - Here, at the Kratie Academy, there is a hall where only aristocrats can go. Both women's and men's Dormitorys have such a Salon.

    - Living room ... should I register?

    - You need a rigorous assessment to join our Salon. First of all, you must be a nobleman, have good grades, and your father must hold a key position in the Imperial family.

    - It's very demanding.

I think it's like a party for babies born with a golden spoon in their mouth. If I thought about entering the social world, it would be a story that would appeal to me.

    - But the Vesta family is special. We give the Lady the opportunity to get a special membership.

    - If they appreciate me, will they immediately register?

    - No, it will be decided after an in-depth discussion between the members whether the Lady is eligible to join.

Leodora spoke as if she had given me a great opportunity, but hearing that made me feel strange. I have to go through this registration, but I also have the opportunity to fail. All I care about is my life and the safety of my family. Last night I wondered if I could hide Franz.

    - But I am a representative of our hall. I can recommend Miss Kayla directly.

Unlike the proud Leodora, I was not very interested in this. But if I refuse immediately, I will be treated like a target. Such people should be treated with flattery and conviction.

    -I’ll think about it, Duchess.

    - There is nothing to think about. You should know that it is a great honor for you to be invited to our hall.

-Mmh, no… I'm not very interested. But I must not reveal my true face. -

    - I am so busy with family problems these days that I will answer when I have time.

    - Well, family problems. Is that Franz?

I didn't answer, but nodded out of courtesy, she just smiled.

    - If it's for family matters. Then I'll wait, Lady Kayla.

With a smile that seemed to make her melt, Leodora left the classroom with her friends.

As Leodora's group left, a whisper was finally heard from the quiet classroom. As if they were holding their breath.

    - I realized that I do not like the humanities. I want to cancel them. -Did you not like today's breakfast in the dining room?-

    - The bread had a crust.

    - I think I gained weight during the holidays. My uniform is tight.

They had a very casual conversation.

Did everyone hold back because they didn't want to hear their conversations? This didn’t mean they hadn’t talked to Leodora. Did Leodora notice? She was so calm even during the break. I felt like I saw the classy hierarchy of my school days. Wherever you went, group life was the same. Irritating, uncomfortable. How can i live quietly and peacefully?

    ***

After all classes were over, and it was very far to get to the Dormitory, I changed and waited for Ophelia. Over time, the door swung open, and she cautiously entered the room. Ophelia looked at me carefully and tried to get a change of clothes out of the closet. I went up to her and prevented her from opening the cabinet door.

-Why did you pretend you don’t know me today?

Ophelia simply tilted her head to my question. There was silence in the room. I didn't say anything until she answered. After a long silence, Ophelia gave up and opened her mouth.

    - This, this is for Kayla.

Ophelia couldn't look me in the eye while talking.

-I only had one friend in my class, Ophelia. But I found myself alone, I was surprised that even you left me.

When I deliberately exaggerated, Ophelia looked up in surprise.

    - Seriously? This is true? I regret. I couldn't talk to you.

-No wonder the atmosphere was weird.-

    - Why can't you communicate with me? I do not understand.

I had a rough idea of what was going on, but I still wanted to hear it from Ophelia's lips.

-Lady Leodora is interested in you. What could I have done? And you better go into the hall.

    - What will happen to me if I'm next to you?

    - The chasm is too great. Aristocrats may think that something is wrong with you.

    - Why won't they like it just because I'm next to you? Ophelia retreated, cringing.

    She looks embarrassed and annoyed.

-Miss Leodora hated sharing the dining room and bathroom with us. Especially the bathroom. Commoners promised to use it only in the morning. I can't use it after dinner.

That's why she only talked to me yesterday and didn't go swimming. In case another noble comes along.

    - Do you accept these senseless rules in the Dormitory?

    - Since we do not fuss over the problem, the authorities believe that there is no need to interfere in politics.

    - What nonsense! I shouted, furious, embarrassing her. Ophelia's shoulders tightened again.

-Actually, Miss Klein was ostracized for being with us. She was even told to stay with the commoners.

    - Iris?

    - She's from our class. Iris Klein, daughter of Baron Klein.

Regardless of how I consider this society to be socially equal, in Kratya they said that they support equality, but in the end the words were empty. All were -Lady-, -Lord-, -My Miss- and even -My Master-. It annoyed me.

    - Why do you call her Miss? Are you her maid? Why are you so withdrawn?

-Kayla too… said Duchess Leodora. She did not bow to her. But she was very polite.

I had nothing to say. Although it was a habit in an aristocratic society, it is true that my words and actions were different.

    - I understand Kayla's position. Unlike us, who will not see each other after graduation, you will meet somewhere else.

    - I beg your pardon for the recklessness. I regret.

-No, no, Kayla, you're not reckless. Everything is fine.

Ophelia's face, who smiled saying everything was fine, was heartbreaking.

-Lady Leodora also interfered with Iris’s father’s business. By all accounts, the industries associated with the work of Archduke Schreman have been hit hard.

Leodora's father, Grand Duke Shreman, was the head of the Inspection Agency, which ran the elite. Thus, he could impose an export ban, setting whatever restrictions he wanted.

    - Ridiculous. How much of a tyrant is he?

    - Sorry.

    - I'm sorry.

-I'm sorry… why are you always asking me for forgiveness?

    - No no! Sorry, this is a habit.

She got into such a habit? .. I understood what was happening. They did not use violence, but took command of their status and position and put pressure on others. It was a very elegant move, so I didn't want to get

involved with this kind of thing.

    - Do not worry about me. My home is the home of the knights. I am not on the business side. We are not dependent on Duke Schreman, because my father belongs to the knights too.

Fortunately, the Vesta family and the Shreman family did not have an alliance. Will we occasionally meet at public gatherings or banquets at the Imperial Court?

-Are you sure you’ll be okay? If you become an enemy of Leodora, it can be difficult for you to live in a Dormitory.

I almost laughed at what Ophelia said.

Now I can't be intimidated, and I didn't care. Franz must be completely separated from Ritaus. I would have to train to make Franz Master Shitsuro, and I had to do it at the end of the month. In short, I was too busy to afford such a thing.

-I’ll be fine, so don’t worry.

Ophelia looked at me, not understanding. The mixed emotions seemed to be even more confusing. -It would be great if you could do it, Kayla. But we cannot take it so lightly.

I had to stop straining my thoughts about Ophelia's bitter smile.

I will have nothing to do with Grand Duke Shreman, so nothing will be in the way of my family. It would be a lie if I fully understood them, because we were in different positions.

    - Ophelia, however. I want to be by your side while I stay here in the dorm. I’ll be very upset if you pretend you don’t know me the way you did in class today.

    - I will try. Oddly enough, looking at Lady Leodora ... No, just looking at Leodora makes my body tense.

    - Understand.

The collective life was also a pain in the neck. This is why I hate school. I hated the dorm even more.

    ***

Fortunately, the next morning Ophelia woke me up with a bright face.

    - Get up, Kayla. Hurry up, wash up and get dressed. We must go to the dining room.

    - Are you coming with me today too? You just showed me the location yesterday.

Ophelia smiled shyly at my words.

From that day on, Ophelia talked to me in class, pretending to be casual. Naturally, I spoke with Ophelia and became friends with Iris Klein, whom Leodora took on.

    - Now I can introduce myself, hello, I'm Iris Klein.

A dark blonde girl with freckles reached out first and asked for a handshake, and I held her hand tightly.

    - Nice to meet you too.

I could feel Leodora looking at me, but I ignored it.

After that, I mingled with Ophelia's crowd. Once I had some close friends and my usual dorm life had adjusted, I thought it was worth it.

Fortunately, the bully who owned the women's Dormitory were still quiet and defended their noble names. Therefore, I did not argue openly and did nothing wrong, like the men in the dormitory who bullied Franz.

Besides, I fit well into the knightly class. I trained every day. I got very familiar with the basics of the sword here, so even though it was difficult to fight, I was able to handle it to some extent with my basic pose and demo.

I really enjoyed life in the girls' Dormitory and my day went by without a hitch. Then suddenly I thought ...

Couldn't Franz have adapted well to such an environment? It would seem that Franz is safer to be among women. Where there are only girls, where is the women's Dormitory ... can send Franz to where there are only women? Where he can't meet the guys.

Sometimes I took it as a joke, but no matter how I thought, I could not come up with the right solution.

I immediately sent a bird that was within my reach to the butler. I asked him to find female boarding schools in the Imperial Capital area.

There should be mountains and rivers around it, as well as a habitat for migratory birds. It will be more interesting for Franz.

    - Please check the area and list. And the poorer the school, the better. Please focus on schools where donations are desperately needed. A location away from the Imperial Capital would be nice. And this should be the habitat of migratory birds. There should be rivers or lakes around.

-Okay, but what are you going to use this for?-

It was as if I saw the face of the butler Alto with an interested look.

    - I'll tell you later. I believe in your ability.

I sent it as soon as possible, and when the chief butler's words came to an end, the messenger bird fell silent. This was a sign that the communication was over.

I opened the window and sent a messenger bird.

Messenger Birds are magical creatures that usually disappear into thin air and reappear when needed. It was not as convenient as a cell phone in my previous life, but it was quite effective.

It's eight o'clock now. It's time to patrol around the Dormitory. As soon as I opened the book to read it, I heard a knock at the door. Today Ophelia was not there because she went home, apparently something happened. So who is this? When I opened the door, a gorgeous, beautiful girl with white skin, dark green eyes and thick red hair appeared.

-Haven't seen each other for a long time, Lady Kayla. Marianne Dmirov, fiancee of Franz.

    - Marianne, haven't seen each other for a long time!

    - How are you?

    - Okay, Marianne. How are you doing? How is Duke Dmirov?

    - I'm fine, so is he.

Marianne smiled, but her face was hard. There were many times when she was usually expressionless and answered very briefly, even when talking to Franz, so he felt out of place.

    - I heard that Mister Franz dropped out of school, and instead of him came Miss Kayla.

The rumor must have spread throughout the Academy, but it is happening very slowly. Has it really been a long time since the transfer? Resolute Marianne was indifferent to others, except for her own interests.

    - I'm sorry I didn't go to you first. I was a bit busy.

    - I understand, I just learned about your arrival.

The expression on Marianne's face, with a slight smile, was even worse than Leodora's. I wonder if the expression of a cold city woman would work?

-But Mister Franz ... how is he? I haven't seen him since he left.

At first glance, a bitter feeling appeared in Marianne's eyes. Marianne knows that Franz was bullied by students.

In the original story, Marianne tried to help Franz by informing the teachers of the violence. But the more she did it, the more they mocked him and the more often Ritaus solved this problem.

    - Franz is doing well. He is engaged in bird watching and study. I think he is fascinated by his studies these days.

    - It's good. I didn’t receive the letter, so I was worried about what was happening, but it’s better.

We chatted for a long time, because we haven't seen each other for a long time. For a while we talked about Franz, about each other's families, and the topic was transferred to the Imperial Palace.

-I heard that the Emperor is choosing the Crown Prince from among the applicants. Marianne told me a story she heard through Duke Dmirov.

Has it really been that much time? In the original story, the Crown Prince was determined before Franz was knighted, so the story will begin to develop around this time.

    - Oh I understand. After all, all Princes were adults, but the Crown Prince's seat was always empty.

-Yes, there were rumors that the Emperor was in doubt. So it looks like the Empress is restless, His Majesty's health is not very good these days.

    - Clear.

A new Crown Prince will be appointed.

He was not a very important character in the original story. In the original Magic Mirage, the brothers who became the Second and Third Princes got along very badly. Both were active candidates for the role of

Crown Prince, as the First Prince died before the story began. And in this dispute the Fourth Prince will die. Indeed, they were like the elder brothers of that Estellla.

-Whoever the Crown Prince is, I hope he becomes a great lumberjack who will lead this Empire in the future.

I wanted to applaud what Marianne said, it seemed like a textbook answer. True, Marianne looked very mature, because she was a year older than Franz.

    - Then I'll go. I'm in class A. And this is a congratulatory gift with translation.

Marianne handed me a decorative soap flower. I gingerly took the flower and bent my knees.

    - Thank you, Marianne.

When I returned after Marianne left, I remembered the original story.

When will the Crown Prince be elected? In the original book, Franz's movements were mostly tracked, so it was decided in perspective.

Although the Crown Prince will die later, Aster will take over the position in the future, no matter which Prince becomes the Crown Prince ... there are not many years left. In a year or two? It has been a long time since I read the manhwa, and I could not even say the exact period when it would happen.

The truth is, it will be when Aster is too old to dress like a woman. Unfortunately, this time is not that far away. The real Estellla will soon wake up. So I have to keep Franz as far away from him as possible.

Aster obsession to FL start here :blobjoy::

    CHAPTER 6: RITAUS EISER

As soon as he entered the room where Aster lived, a stack of daily and weekly newspapers lay on the floor, Ritaus walked towards Aster along the floor covered with magazines.

    - What are you doing?

There were many newspapers covering the floor in Ritaus's field of vision. Aster flipped through the newspaper, cut out and pasted certain articles into his notebook.

    It was the same story.

    - I'm cutting out the article. Ritaus, is this the bride who left you?

Aster held out his notebook with newspaper articles and photographs attached. The brow of Ritaus, who was staring at the album, frowned slightly.

The clippings that Aster collected were about his ex-fiancée Kayla Vesta. They were all articles covering the same event. Photos and printouts showed Kayla with a faint curtsey at Burg station. Aster was just collecting photos and prints of Kayla.

    - What are you going to do about it?

At Ritaus's question, Aster's expression became innocent like sharp scissors.

    - Isn't this image funny?

The photo of the article that Aster was holding in his hands was of Kayla struggling with an unpleasant face covered in blood.

    - Is your hobby collecting funny pictures?

It was a photograph that turned out to be much worse than the real one. Ritaus wondered why Aster had chosen her.

    - Something is wrong? She's so bright that I can't take my eyes off her.

Ritaus remembered how Aster looked at Kayla all the time at the Burg station.

He thought it was a mistake when he saw Kayla leaping in defense of a trembling Aster, however, it is not.

    - At first I was going to buy only one or two newspapers, but somehow it all ended with the fact that I bought everything.

Estellla's appearance resembled a fan club that followed the knights of the Kratie Academy.

-Thanks to this girl, I was able to escape safely without using the power of the spirits. Even if it was a little late, I have to use my powers.

    - In that case, the story would have reached the Imperial Palace.

    - So the efforts will be in vain.

Aster looked at the photo of Kayla that he had cut out.

    - You've become a big fan.

Looking at other pages of the article without touching the ground, Ritaus spoke with an intonation of indignation.

    - So this is fanaticism?

When Aster started, as if he had noticed something huge, Ritaus repented and said: -I shouldn't have said that.

    - Then, as a fan, what can i send her? .. What can I send? A doll? Flowers?

    - Why are you suddenly interested in Kayla Vesta?

Ritaus was suddenly afraid that Aster would really send Kayla a gift. -The spirits told me that.

    - Is the dust around you Spirits?

After Ritaus's words, a sullen expression appeared on Aster's face.

-If you say that, the spirits will hate you.

Aster, the last of the Spirit King's blood descendants, was the only person who could speak to the spirits. For Ritaus, the existence of spirits was more alien than magic, because he could not feel or see them.

    - What did they say?

    - Kayla Vesta is the only one who knows me. Leave.

Seeing the expression of Aster's immense interest and joy, Ritaus felt shivers down his spine. Spirits can never lie. They always told Aster what they knew.

-This maid hates you. She can't get close to Ritaus because of you.-

-The servant who just passed by felt uncomfortable that you are pretending to be a woman, although you are not.

Due to the fact that the spirits sometimes spoke unnecessary information, Aster's situation worsened. The existence of the traitor hiding in the family of Duke Lysch could not be established ... Incompetent dust.

    - You are talking nonsense again. Try to listen to the information that the spirits say that will be useful to you. He gave serious advice, but Aster actually rejected his words.

-That was Schuette, wasn't it? This is a set with Shitsuro's shield. They say that only the heirs of the Vesta family can use them?

Estellla even read the story of the Vesta family in the article and in the column on two treasures. -Please, just think about staying calm. When did you go out to buy the newspaper again?

Ritaus was concerned that Aster's interest in something did not always bring good results. But Aster opened another newspaper, not paying attention to the words he heard from his side.

    - Literally in the morning. Should I contact a security guard? Even if I run away, no one will know.

    - In the morning? You broke discipline, what kind of antics? ..

As soon as Ritaus looked at the guards guarding the mansion door outside the window, he glanced at his pocket watch.

    - Isn't it time for you to go back to the Dormitory? Why do not you go? Aster's voice was full of irritation.

    - There are no restrictions on the stay of an apprentice who has been appointed as a knight.

Usually he would ask Ritaus to stay with him rather than return to the dorm. This made him feel that somehow Aster was changing.

Boarding Academy Kratie only canceled the rules for staying outside the home for students who received the knighthood. So, if the house was nearby, you could go directly to the Academy.

    - Even when you were appointed a knight, you must have a lot of things to do. You only came when I was in danger.

At Aster's words, Ritaus had nothing to say. In fact, even when Franz was there, he mostly lived in a Dormitory. But now the reason for staying in the dorm is gone.

    - I will support you for a while. There is a barrier here, but not outside. Please refrain from going outside. Aster grumbled at Ritaus's words, fingering his long hair between his fingers.

    - Barriers are useless now. Originally there was a crash at Burg station, right?

    - It's because someone raised the barrier. If the barrier had been activated properly, the Blood Demon would not have been able to enter.

    - It must have been released on purpose. Ritaus looked down.

Aster searched the floor for newspaper articles that he hadn’t read yet, as if he were not interested. Then, as if suddenly remembering, he raised his head.

-About the maids and attendants who died while staying with me. Have you been inVestaigating?

Aster's maids and attendants were crushed by the Blood Demon at Burg Station. Ritaus suspected there was a traitor among them.

    - I checked the history and everything is fine. I saw no reason to go to the Palace. But the new guard had a record of buying poison.

    - Who?

Aster looked at him with purple eyes.

    - Ted Bisson.

When Aster tilted his head, he sighed.

-This is a short man with dark short hair. If you are with someone, try to remember their names.

    - Can I die at any moment? What for?

-Don't say that in front of His Excellency, Duke of Lysch.

-It doesn't matter how much decisive action is taken against a new person. Grandpa doesn't know how to give up.

    - By the way, what kind of poison did I take?

Aster's low voice was cold. Even if there were no signs of contact with the Imperial Palace, in the end it was the Imperial Palace that was involved.

Arriving at Burg station, Estellla was poisoned by a cookie given to him by his maid. In addition, the maid who supported Aster provided him with water, but the bottle was also poisoned.

-When I looked at the poison left in the water bottle, it was a medicine that diminished the magician’s power. They were aiming at you.

    - Is this a warning to me? Do they want me to keep my head down? -Ted Bisson is dead, even if we want to know his intentions.

Ritaus clicked his tongue. He was always upset that he could not catch those who threatened the Duke. Aster was never interested in the identity of the traitor. Ritaus thought he was well aware of the situation.

    - Let the evil spirit go to the city center. The Mad Empress is really crazy.

Aster credited the appearance of the Blood Demon at the Burg station to the Empress. Although there was no evidence, Ritaus agreed with Aster's idea.

There was no one but the Empress trying to send Aster to the next world.

-Now that the Crown Prince is being elected, and I'm sure I've started to annoy her even more.

Aster was on the verge of death several times. There were several direct death threats as well as poisoning. Most often this happened when Aster left the room.

However, there has never been an event as big at Burg station as this.

-Maybe it was the Second or Third Princes? Upon learning of your existence ... Estellla's mouth twisted into a grin at Ritaus's words.

    - I would have killed more promising candidates, I do not think that I would have had time to eliminate the unrecognized bastard.

-You are the last descendant of the Spirit King. This is why they are afraid.

Aster, however, no longer listened to him. He must have found an item he liked, so he worked hard to carve it by moving the scissors around.

    - I want to personally meet with Kayla Vesta. Can you let us meet?

    - What?

Ritaus's forehead frowned again, but Aster's face was full of innocence.

    - Let me meet her. Introduce her to me.

    - We broke up. No matter how well you organize everything, you cannot say that you have a good relationship for a social invitation. What will you do when you meet her?

Aster tilted his head to Ritaus's question, as if pondering something. -I don’t know what should I do?

    - What?

    Aster's reaction stunned Ritaus.

    - Why? It's complicated? What do you want to ask?

    - It's a secret…

Aster was not used to keeping something secret from him. Besides, of course, he was interested in Kayla Vesta. He felt dizzy, but couldn't understand why he was so tired of it.

-Don't create accidents while you're in my house. Magic and talking with spirits are prohibited!

    - What did I do? Don't you think you've decided to ban too much?

-Don't pretend you don't know. In the future, my house will also hire a magical healer. Thanks to you!

In childhood, all the people who were traumatized by Aster were healed by the magical therapist Lysch. The name of the magical therapist is Stefan. He was a highly trained therapist hired before Estellla was born. His main task was to heal the victims of Aster, instead of treating the employer.

Fortunately, everyone was completely safe and are still working with Count Eiser. This is because the Duke of Lysch offers a considerable reward in exchange for silence.

    - For now, I'll stick with that, so don't worry.

Aster, smiling, took the newspaper at his feet and again began to cut newspaper photographs, which he inserted into his notebooks.

-Is it that good?- Thought Ritaus, picking up the discarded newspaper. The article contained a brief description of Kayla's performance.

[Suddenly, a demon appeared that even the guards could not cope with! With the courage of a wonderful girl, the Imperial City is safe again. ]

Ritaus recalled the events at Burg station that he had witnessed.

On that day at the Burg station ...

When he arrived with the Kratie Knights, the situation was already under her control. Everyone was impressed by the fact that only one girl ran without hesitation against the terrible Bloody Demon. Kayla Vesta only held the sword for a few months. The original composition of the Kratie Knights, who were late, could not waste time. But they also couldn't take their eyes off Kayla.

As Aster said, Kayla was dazzling.

Perhaps if Franz had been there, even if he had Schuette, he would have stood still. Because Franz was a sensitive child.

    He had to admit it.

-But why? Ritaus's heart sank. Why do I keep thinking about her?

On that day, after a one-on-one meeting with Kayla, his engagement was completely canceled. Since that day, in his daily life, he constantly remembers Kayla.

His heart was heavy and confused. It was difficult to determine what those feelings were. Unlike when he quickly realized his feelings for Franz.

    He was confused.

CHAPTER 7: BOARDING ACADEMY PENALTY SYSTEM

After some mastery of the main base, I was able to attend classes with other students from the same knight class. Although I was still inexperienced in striking with a rapier, chopping blows were quite confident.

Now it was possible to participate in various sparrings. However, I had to continue to receive personal guidance from the swordsman teacher in charge of the knight class, because I still had a long way to go before the official battle.

However, when I practiced, I could see many similarities with kendo from my previous life. Judging by the

method of capturing the center of gravity of the body, the moment required instant force for the attack was the same. The only difference was the way the goal was achieved.

Basic fencing here is called Guardian Style Fencing, and it was very similar to the fencing I saw on TV in my past life.

After learning the basics, I realized that the basic methods were fun and I became more and more confident. I really liked praise a master swordsman, he said , that my desk was flawless.

The gnome that was supposed to appear at any moment has finally appeared.

    - Hello, this is the first time we meet, Lady Kayla Vesta.

No one has called me Lady since I entered knight class, but he said it with pride.

Although he still looked like a boy, I was impressed by his slender body, short blond hair, and long, thin face. This is the face of the guy who punched Franz in the stomach in the first episode of the original story.

    This guy's name ...

-I'm Nicholas Chiade, 3rd grade. I am in the same class as Lady.

Instead of asking for a handshake, Nicholas reached out and bowed his head. In a social setting, the man asked permission to kiss the woman on the back of the hand. The eyes of the students in the knight class were focused on us. I was confused. The main method of greeting here was -handshake .

    - I'm Kayla Vesta from third grade.

I reached out my right hand and asked Nicholas to shake it for me. Seeing my hand, Nicholas Chiade gave me a smile and shook it.

    -Young Lady, I'm so embarrassed.

-I don’t want you to call me that at the Academy.

When I expressed my feelings, Nicholas raised an eyebrow.

    - Oh, sorry. When I saw Kayla, I was so happy.

He seemed to be amused , when he said it. He most likely laughed at me.

-As expected, the people in the Vesta family are amazing. You learn quickly. Is it because of the talent flowing in your blood?

-If you continue to speak so sarcastically, do not delay me. I need to do one-to-one training, so please go to your seat.

I thought I had expressed my displeasure enough, but Nicholas was not going to stop.

    - I paid you a compliment, sarcasm.

I pretended not to hear and wiped the handle of the training rapier in my hand with a cloth. The handle was slippery due to the sweat that started to form on my hands.

    - The break is long, so let's talk, a sister of Vesta. You have no idea how lonely I am after Franz leaves. The guy shamelessly brought up the subject of Franz.

    - Have you heard my story with Franz? We were pretty close ...

At that moment, I felt my blood boil with anger. Much time passed, memories of the past rushed in gusts of wind.

    - There were bruises on your brother's body. And not one or two, he was severely beaten for a long time. Didn't you know?

My hands trembled at the words of the policeman.

    - He said we were bothering him? We are very close! Guys, please convince his sister.

    - Is this a suicide note? It seems you wrote it yourself?

The kids who were only in their third grade in high school laughed so viciously.

When I showed my brother's notebook and confirmed his handwriting, the student changed his face and exclaimed with pride.

    - Hey guys, did we bother him?

    - No, we never bothered him. We will not act unfairly.

The result is an acquittal. There was not enough evidence of school violence, so they were not punished. The only thing that happened was that the child, who was more bullied, got a referral to volunteer at the school.

Also, my brother's death was a suicide, so it was viewed as a separate incident that had nothing to do with them.

My breathing was getting faster and faster.

No, this guy in front of me is not him. I have to calm down.

I took a deep breath. Nicholas looked at me slyly. I wanted to slap the smiling Nicholas, but I had to squeeze out a smile.

-Are you his friend? I haven't heard anything about it. I answered calmly, hiding my agitated mind.

-Oh, it looks like you’re not very close with your brother. We were very good friends. At this point, my patience is almost exhausted!

The fencing master came and rang the bell.

    - The break is over! If you do 100 hits, then do 100 more hits!

Since the fencing teacher was a representative of the Guardian Knights, Nicholas stepped aside. When he looked at me again, I boiled inside, but smiled.

Exactly six people pursued Franz in the original work, The Magic Mirage. Four of them were classmates with Franz, and two, including Nicholas, were 16 years old and in their third year.

Nicholas Chiade was the leader of this group and was one of the -public figures- of the Magic Mirage. I didn’t think that we could coexist peacefully, but I also didn’t think that he would attack so openly. If this happens again in the future, what should I do? What should I do?

The fencing teacher called me because I was thinking.

    - Kayla, it's time to train, keep your head cold.

    - I apologize.

I wiped my sweaty hands and lunged again.

I still didn't dare to fight with anyone and I had to pair up with the teacher. At that moment, the voice of Nicholas Chiade was heard from afar.

    - Teacher, this time I want to spar with Kayla.

Nicholas approached with a rapier and bowed politely in front of the instructor. I was confused, but fortunately, the teacher blocked his path.

    - Kayla is a student who has just started learning the basics of fencing. This sparring is unreasonable due to the big difference between Nicholas and Kayla.

-But isn't she the owner of the famous Schuette? Is there a skill difference between me and the girl who is famous for her battle against the Blood Demon at Burg Station?

At Nicholas' words, the fencing teacher sighed.

    - Nicholas, what is school rule # 3? The use of magic tools at the Academy is prohibited.

    - Ah, exactly. This is true. I forgot this.

Nicholas bowed politely with a mocking expression.

    - Once again, Schuette looks great. Don't you think so? -Nicholas, please stop. I give you a warning.

Despite the warning from the fencing teacher, Nicholas's eyes were still looking at me.

    - For some reason, only members of the Vesta family can wield it - a sword that enhances innate abilities. I thought I knew a little bit why Nicholas hated and bothered Franz so much.

-Thus, with Schuette, even a person who has never held a sword can become the Commander of the Guardian Knights. Isn't this about justice ... isn't it, Lady Kayla?

Honestly, Vesta's family had nothing to say about this. A magic sword that multiplies your initial abilities, even if you don't have the ability to wield a sword.

Successive Emperors did not pay attention to the succession of the Vesta family as Commanders of the Guardian Knights of the Imperial Palace due to Schuette. Because it was beneficial to the authorities.

Thus, Schuette, a family treasure, became an item that made many knights feel deprived.

-I am curious. How can I get Schuette? This is only possible for the Vesta family. If I marry you, will I have a chance to use it?

    ***

The fencing teacher was angry because he did not hear his warning words.

    - Nicholas Chiade! Penalty for disobeying orders!

As a result, Nicholas managed to lose 10 points. The grades will be calculated later in the next semester.

    ***

After working out at the Gym and taking a bath, I ended the day by taking a walk in the girls' dorm garden.

Now I understand why Franz could not use Schuette and was beaten. I'm sorry about that. One of the reasons he was bullied was that a member of the Vesta family would become the Commander of the Guardian Knights. And he didn't want to use Schuette, because he didn't want to break the rules of the Academy.

    You're a fool.

Now I have a feeling that in the future I will become the target of those who tortured Franz. I'm a girl and I'm in a women's dorm, so I don't think they could treat me like Franz, but I wasn't sure. Usually these guys were scoundrels.

But I was not going to sit still. If you try to fight me again, I will strike back at you.

Thinking, I saw the body of a bird with a bluish tint. It was the messenger bird of the Vesta family, and it flew to my window.

When I hurried up to my room on the third floor, I saw on the table the documents delivered by the butler and the messenger bird.

-Mistress Kayla, I sent you the requested data, have you received it yet?-

Alto is very talented. A few days after I entrusted this task to him, he provided the results so soon.

-Thank you, everything made it safely to my room. You can see the zeal with which you were engaged in this matter.

-Not at all, that's what you asked me to do.

    - So, how is Franz doing now?

-Great. Every day he goes to the forest to watch the birds, and in the evening he trains with Shitsuro.

    -Has he become more skillful?

-Progressing gradually. Now he has mastered the range that can surround a mansion.

    - So soon? He learns quickly.

Again, Franz was a child who was supposed to be Master Shitsuro. The original plot of the novel appeared and disappeared, but fortunately, this has not changed.

    - Then I say goodbye. I need to see the data you sent me.

    -Okay Miss Kayla. Good day.

The messenger bird flew out the window again and disappeared, as if scattered in the air.

I hastily opened the paper bag and looked at the schools Alto was exploring. As expected, Alto even arranged the papers neatly. From terrain sketches to school drawings and features of nearby villages. Among them, I really liked all three schools.

Although they were far from the capital and close to the border, it was said that there was a good army there, so the security was good and in general the students were said to be simple. The most important thing. This also included the fact that the school was poor and in dire need of donations. I calculated the allowance assigned to me. It was also important that I saved my pocket money. I didn't spend it as dresses, jewelry and essentials were given to me at home, so I never had to buy anything myself.

I chose three schools and started writing heartfelt letters to their principals.

    ***

I fell asleep early in the morning because I studied basic subjects and humanities until late at night. The tired body did not sleep well enough. I fell asleep and all sorts of thoughts fluttered in my head, showing a familiar picture. Memories of the past unfold like a panorama, like a quiet projector.

I used to go to the school my younger brother went to, like I was going to work.

    - There are bruises on my brother's body, what happened?

-Don't think the wound is related to our school. It's a pity that this happened to our student ...

The situation did not change even after I found the letter hidden in my brother's desk drawer.

    - It's difficult.

The teacher in charge was alarmed by the names of the perpetrators in the letter.

-Now that you have just brought this letter just now, it looks like it was written by you quite recently.

My chest was tight as if I were trapped. When I couldn't breathe like in water, my heart sank as if my body was scared.

    -…!

I opened my eyes and looked at the clock, where I saw that it was time to get up and get ready for class.

I was so nervous that I couldn't move. I couldn't sleep at night, so I felt sleepy in class. I could not wake up from this state, but thanks to the person in front of me, I was able to escape from sleep.

    - Lady Kayla Vesta.

Her bright blonde hair, eyes the color of peridot. A fragile figure that seems to crumble if you only touch it.

    - We need to talk.

Unlike her innocent appearance, Leodora, who pressed people with one glance, stood in front of me. They followed her.

    Ah, she's finally here.

    ***

This can be really bad. Sitting in the chair, I looked at Leodora and her gaze became even more arrogant. The drowsiness was gone. I got up and was able to look down at her because I was taller than her.

    - Yes, we'll talk.

Leodora smirked slightly and smiled with her lips only. It was a pretentious kind of deal, anyone could see it.

    - Now I think that you have adapted well to life in the women's Dormitory, and therefore I want to hear your answer about the Salon.

Leodora's expression looked like she was expecting my answer.

-I am grateful for the offer you gave me, but I cannot afford to lose my concentration in my studies right now. I regret.

I also smiled a commercial smile as much as possible.

-By the way, Lady Kayla, you haven't debuted yet. Leodora suddenly pointed to my social activities.

-So you don’t seem to understand the importance of our Salon? Lady Kayla won't be in a noble society? Even if you have a coming-of-age ceremony, you are not going to have it in the company of ordinary people, right?

Leodora's eyes were fixed on Ophelia, who was sitting next to me. Ophelia tilted her head and shrugged. A follower standing next to Leodora was whispering something in her ear. I don't know what she said to her, but Leodora nodded with a satisfied expression on her face.

-So, Lady Kayla Vesta. I'll give you time to think again. Do not give up this opportunity. I ask you to do this ... Having said that, I had to nod.

    - Yes, I'll think about it.

It was only when Leodora and her followers disappeared in front of me that Ophelia's breathing was restored. I think I haven't breathed either until now

-Kayla, Leodora is right. I think it would be better to join the Salon. Especially if you aim to get good grades and skip semesters.

I disliked the people in this Salon so much that my ears began to tingle.

-Everyone in the Salon has good grades. There is a lot of high quality information, so they learn better.

Yes, it's better to have an ally than an enemy by my side. Should I ask any of the Salon members? I wanted to hear how it works. Ophelia said almost nothing, noticing that I was worried.

-Marianne Dmirov is also a member of the Salon. If Kayla asks, will she answer? Yes, Marianne was there.

I will use my next break to visit Marianne in Class A.

    - Lady Kayla! Are you here.

Marianne greeted me with her usual forced smile. It was difficult at first to accept, but as I continued to see it, I thought it was okay.

Unlike Class E, Class A was noisy during the break. Looking back at the graduates, it seemed that there were not as many noblemen as in the E class, and the proportion of graduates from among the common people was high.

I immediately got down to business and asked the Salon what kind of place it was and what kind of activity they were doing.

    - I joined, but I don't do something there very often.

    - Oh yeah? Then I don't care.

    - I have to go home every weekend and do my homework, which my father gave me separately.

Duke Dmirov was a highly educated person, despite the fact that Marianne was not his successor, but was still sent to the Kratie Academy.

    - I heard that they share many materials, including classes and exam questions. Is that really true?

I should have achieved stunning results at the end of this semester. So I could not help but ask this question.

    - I'm not sure. This is information that is shared only by a small amount in the Salon.

Marianne seemed to know little because she was not active. But it couldn't be said that the Salon that

Marianne was talking about was right for me. It was the place where they had to meet once a day for tea, visit each other during some holidays, and travel together during the holidays.

-Of course, if I don't join, Lady Leodora may hate me.

So if I just sign up and don't engage in any activity, I will most likely be able to leave. By the time my thoughts about the Salon were disappointing, Marianne had penetrated my thoughts.

-And Mister Franz was a member of the men's dorm room. But when Mr. Franz began to harass, no one stood up. Only Ritaus supported him.

It has been said that the members occupying more than half of the Salon in the men's dormitory are alumni aspiring to become knights. The apprentice who was appointed knight did not work properly because he was busy. This made it difficult for Franz to get help from his elders.

-But Sir Ritaus helped him, thanks to which Franz was able to survive.

There was an obvious trust in Ritaus in Marianne's eyes. Although I didn't know much about him, I must admit that Ritaus was the only one who cared about Franz.

Wondering whether to step into the Salon or not, it's time to go to the Salon.

    - Boo!

Someone deliberately screamed in the ear. I was surprised and when my legs started shaking I heard giggles and laughter. They were Nicholas and his gang.

    -You must be careful, Lady.

Nicholas ran his hand around my waist, pretending to support me. A nasty, disgusting chill set in. After that, his henchmen passed by, touching me with their backs one by one.

I looked around hastily. But the rest went about their business. Crime without witnesses. I couldn't take it anymore because of the unpleasant sensation that engulfed my waist. My steps imperceptibly headed towards Nicholas.

    - Hey, you better stop.

Nicholas no longer used politeness and etiquette. Apparently, he decided that this was no longer necessary.

    - What do you think I did?

    - You touched my waist. You and all your friends!

When I pointed to Nicholas and the crowd behind me, Nicholas shrugged.

    - Kayla, do you consider yourself an outstanding beauty?

    - This sister is not my type!

This guy also goes along with Nicholas. I gritted my teeth and clenched my fists with force - I could not use them. If I start a fight, I will lose.

-You'd better stop touching me. I'm not as soft as Franz. Then Nicholas' face came close to my nose.

    - What are you going to do? Used your Schuette? If you use magic tools at school, you will be deducted 30 points for behavior. It doesn't compare to the little subtraction I got in class.

Fine. I felt the blood rises through my veins.

I knew that there was a system of fines and the use of magic tools was prohibited by school rules, but I did not know that the cost would be so high.

-Rumor has it that you applied for the monthly upgrade test. Then all your grades must be good during the semester? For reference, you must score 80 or more points for behavior in order to get approval.

80 behavior points. If I beat him to Schuette, I get a fine and I have 70 points. It was against me.

    - Nicholas, return to your seat!

The fencing master walked over and kicked Nicholas out. How did I get through the workout that day?

I was inspired and went to the bathroom of the women's dormitory. Fortunately, there was no one in the bathhouse. I screamed and kicked off my training clothes, but the anger didn't go away. In the corner of the dressing room, I saw a mop, which I could not get rid of. The wooden rod seemed to be very strong. Should I take it now and smash it?

My stomach boiled, but my anger did not cool even when I stepped into the cold water.

What should I do now? I had hope in Schuette, but if I used him, I would have to deal with the consequences. Should I just drop grades this year? Will I then be able to look at the mark on my hand? No. However, I couldn't come up with a good idea right away.

Some time passed, but the situation did not improve from this. In recent days, Nicholas and his crowd screamed and whistled every time I passed, touched my body, saying that it was a mistake, while they whistled between each other.

I always tried to ignore them, as if they were amused by my angry face.

I hated creating problems, but I couldn't go on like this. I went to the men's dorm, went straight to the main office. The man in the office is a middle-aged man , thin build, wearing glasses.

    - Yes? What's happening? Why did the student come to this place so casually?

I told the manager everything that had happened. However, he treated me like a liar.

-It can't be, Kayla. Nicholas, the eldest son of the Marquis Chiade, is an exemplary student, sincere and well mannered.

    - It happened to me, my brother was bullied all the time!

    - Ah, Kayla, you are a newbie. It might be shyness. You're pretty pretty. These guys are just interested in you.

    - What did you just say?

I no longer had the strength to be angry at the absurdity, the resentment grew when I spoke more shocking words.

    - And in the case of Franz, there were many problems.

When I finished exhaling, I almost pulled Schuette out and cut the table in front of me in half.

    - What are you talking about?

    - He was always absent-minded in class and even absent without permission. Come to think of it, he left school without permission. Isn't that a problem?

    - Have you ever wondered , why Frantz did so?

I asked again, but the manager repeated only abrupt words.

    - Lady Kayla, the men's Dormitory is under the patronage of the Marquis Chiade. The old man said this and sighed. And then he said again:

    - But how much did the Vesta family donate to the Kratie Boarding Academy?

Ha, there was no way out. I felt that it was already difficult to speak, so I left the men's dorm and this time

went to the manager of the women's dorm. However, the reaction did not differ significantly from the director of the male dormitory.

    - Why did you tell this story to the manager of the male dorm before me? Lady Kayla Vesta! How can a female student go to a male dorm with confidence? .. What a shame.

The women’s Dormitory director was shaking with anger over the news.

-It hasn't been a long time since Kayla was transferred, so she doesn't seem to know the rules of our Academy. My God! Head straight to the Academy Office and learn the school rules!

The door slammed shut and I was kicked out of the office.

It was unpleasant. On the other hand, it made sense. The managers and all the teachers here were aristocrats like me. In addition, everyone here is under the protection of the Imperial Palace, so no matter that I am the daughter of the Vesta family, I had no advantage.

And the members of the Salon at the Boarding Academy here in Kratie were the children of some of the most prominent members of the imperial social circle. The Vesta family, far from society, had little influence on the social circle.

Finally, I left the dormitory and headed to the school office.

    - Do you need school guidance and promotion guidelines?

Employees who had not yet left their work carefully handed over the small brochure I requested. On the way back to the women's Dormitory, I opened the directory and read it.

In fact, female students were prohibited from entering the male dormitories. The penalty is 1 point each, so I got a penalty for going to the men's dorm today. This also applies to male students.

Unfortunately, school regulations did not include a ban on sexual harassment among Academy students. It seemed that the person who set the school rules was completely distracted or naively believed that the students would not be able to do it. I diminished my anger and reread every page.

The booklet lists the rules and regulations of the Boarding Academy that I did not know about before, and the last page lists the deductions that can be received for breaking school rules.

There were many small deduction points. 3 points for violence due to quarrels, behavioral voting? What is it? This behavioral vote was conducted every semester with a deduction of 10 points.

Being late - 1 point, unauthorized departure - 10 points.

Of these, the part about the use of magic items caught my attention the most.

Only now it became clear why the son of a bitch, Nicholas, said that I could get a 30-point deduction. 10 points will be deducted when using a magic item. 20 points will be deducted if someone is injured by a magic item. There were 30 points in total.

After reading all the deductions, this time I looked at the monthly pre-test requirements. Minimum

requirements are an AC score of 90 or higher and a behavioral score of 80 or higher. If I use Schuette, I only get up to 70 behavioral points.

Once again, I read the school rules manual carefully.

    ***

The student confidently entered the male class.

    - This is a girl, a girl came here!

The male students' eyes were wide open, focusing on one female student. Just as the dormitory buildings are different for girls and boys, the buildings in which basic subjects are taught were different too.

It was not a restricted area where the lesson was held, but it was not easy to enter one place where only the opposite sex met.

However, Kayla Vesta crossed the corridor without hesitation. -Isn't she the older sister of Franz Vesta?

    - I think you're right. I saw her in accounting class.

Several students noticed a girl who came to the male class alone and looked at her. Shiny black hair,

moderately tanned skin from exposure to sunlight and blue eyes with high transparency. The erect and rigid posture complemented the look of the green uniform worn by Kayla Vesta.

Kayla came to the 3rd grade F, with big and unobtrusive steps. She seemed to be looking for someone and then approached the male student.

The student was joking and playing with the chair of another student sitting in the front chair. At first glance, they seemed to be annoyed and toying with each other. Because the other person's face was smiling as if in trouble.

Kayla walked over to the male student and threw her lace gloves in his face.

    - Who dared to do it!

Nicholas, who was annoyed by the sudden interruption of his amusement, Looked around. When he confirmed that the person was Kayla Vesta, who even entered the male class, Nicholas started laughing as if he had gone crazy.

    - What happened, sister? You are very cocky. Coming here is not punishable by a fine, but girls are still rare guests here.

Nicholas picked up the lace gloves Kayla had thrown.

    - And this is a request for a duel?

The voices of male students were heard nearby. But Kayla Vesta did not move.

    - Really?

    Nicholas asked incredulously.

    - Sister, I, like, told you. The use of magic tools is prohibited. If you break this rule, you will not be able to get a promotion, let alone the usual transfer to your class.

Nicholas was polite, but his face was smiling.

    - I won't use Schuette.

As soon as she said that, everyone in the class burst out laughing.

-And this is Franz’s sister. I remember that he did nothing but constantly examine the birds. Nicholas grabbed Kayla's lace gloves tightly, brought them to his nose and began to sniff.

    - Oh, nice smell. Sister, can I take this as a keepsake?

The third party could see that Nicholas was not getting along well with Kayla. However, Kayla looked indifferent and said what she was about to.

    - There will be no judge.

Nicholas, who had been smiling before, changed his face abruptly. As if it were a little ridiculous, he felt that he was being looked down upon, even with a little bit of anger.

    - Are you kidding me? The sister needs a judge to help her. But Kayla Vesta shook her head.

    - Let's move on to a real duel, not a training one. I don't even need a training rapier. Choose your weapon and bring it back.

-You must have forgotten a little, sister. Are you going to have a real duel with a man? The students sitting next to him also looked at her as at a strange creature.

-Sister, you have no idea how cruel this battle is.

Hearing Nicholas' warning, Kayla smiled an aristocratic smile, slightly lifting the corners of her lips. -I'm only dealing with one guy.

Nicholas laughed out loud. He put his lips to Kayla's ear and looked at her. -Of course you're talking about the bed, aren't you?

Hearing Nicholas's whisper, the people around him started laughing again. Even in this offensive moment, Kayla Vesta kept a calm expression on her face.

    - Okay. If you want it so badly. Of course I agree.

Nicholas happily agreed. His classmates could read the acrimony on Nicholas's face.

    ***

The day after Kayla challenged Nicholas to a duel, the Kratie Boarding Academy was filled with chaos. No one could not know the rumors that the girl, who had only been studying fencing for four months, had announced a real duel to a student from the knight class.

-Kayla, what were you thinking? I can't believe you're really going to do this without using Schuette! Ophelia persistently discouraged Kayla. But Kayla Vesta didn't seem to want to listen.

-I hear you're just getting used to Sentinel-style swordsmanship. You said it was still hard for you. But a real duel?

    Iris Klein also helped Ophelia.

-Yes, it is impossible to win without Schuette. Nicholas Chiade is quite a talented person. How can a girl who has just started practicing fencing overcome him? This does not mean that you are bad at swordsmanship, just that you had a little experience with a sword.

Next to Iris, who shook her head in dismissal, Ophelia grabbed Kayla's arm.

-Let's stop now. Let's go back to the beginning. You will be a little embarrassed, but it's okay. It's better than getting hurt.

-Yes, Ophelia is right. Cancel the duel, Kayla.

Kayla gently removed her hand and squeezed Ophelia's shoulder.

-Do not worry about me. This is all because I have an idea.

Ophelia and Iris sighed. What the hell did Kayla think of such a reckless act? They were worried about her as friends. Although Ophelia asked about the idea, Kayla just smiled and didn't answer.

On that day, Kayla spoke to the butler through the messenger bird. However, even listening to the conversation, it was not clear what they were talking about.

-I sent you an urgent telegram this morning. Have you checked it?

-I checked just recently. Do you want me to do it exactly as it says here?

    - Please do it. I would be very grateful to you if you could do as close as possible to what is written there. - Yes, I'll order it now. By the way, where are you going to use it?-

    - There is a place where you need to take advantage of it. Please hurry up.

    - Good.

After finishing the conversation with the butler, Kayla sent the messenger bird out the window, and then climbed the stairs to the bed and lay down in its place. Ophelia was very worried about Kayla.

    - Kayla, what the hell are you thinking? Do you have a way to win? Kayla shook her head.

    - There's no such thing. I'll just do it my own way.

    - In your own way?

When Ophelia asked, Kayla put a finger to her lips.

    - Secret.

In the end, Ophelia had no choice but to surrender. She just wished her friend as much luck as possible.

Kayla Vesta looked calm, although there were only a few days before the duel. She didn’t do any special workout routine. As usual, she studied her homework, ate meals in the cafeteria, and once spent time with the students munching on cakes in a dessert shop.

Every time Kayla Vesta passed by, the students whispered. Even Marianne Dmirov from A class came to tell her off.

    - What are you thinking about? Are you going to deal with that scoundrel Nicholas without Schuette?

    - Calm down, Marianne. I know what I'm doing…

-I'm going to send a letter to the Marquis of Vesta. If the wife of the Marquis found out about this ... Kayla hastily grabbed Marianne by the hem.

    - This is not only for me, but for Franz too.

Kayla's eyes, looking at her, were very serious. In the end, Marianne had no choice but to surrender with her hands up.

In the training room, other students glanced at Kayla. With the exception of Kayla, all the students talked about the duel between Kayla and Nicholas. The fencing master stepped forward in front of Kayla.

    - Kayla, I heard about the duel. Is the preparation going well? Kayla smiled coldly and nodded.

    - I do not blame you, but what were you thinking? Kayla didn't answer and just smiled.

    - I will also attend the duel. There will be no judge, but if something happens, I will stop it. Kayla laughed.

    - Thank you, teacher Kayla.

Kayla, the Guardian Knight, has been watching Kayla since she transferred. Although she had a strange habit, Kayla was definitely very sane and quick-witted. At first, she had only outstanding physical strength and it did not really matter, but now she was catching up with the students from the knight class.

Her talent for the sword was also outstanding. Basic swordplay in the early days was awkward in the early days, and now the body line was so beautiful that it could be used as a demonstration.

However, this is the case. He and Nicholas had a big difference in skills and a real duel must take place between them.

As the day of the duel approached, the people around Kayla became nervous. But Kayla trained as usual, as if nothing had happened. Sometimes she would sit in the corner and rest, watching Nicholas. She

meticulously watched Nicholas - from training with a dummy to competing with other students. Very careful.

    ***

Finally, the day of the duel came.

The training room was filled with students, teachers and even apprentices who were appointed knights. Among them was Kayla's ex-fiancé Ritaus Eiser.

-Is she going to do something absurd?

Ritaus came with a sword and a gun in his belt in case of an emergency. If Kayla found herself in a dangerous situation, he intended to defeat Nicholas.

At this time, Nicholas entered the training room to the cheers of the male students. Nicholas held a gleaming two- handed sword in his hand. The elongated blade became thicker with length and the ends were sharply sharpened.

    - Two-handed sword against a woman.

The audience, with the exception of Nicholas's herd, felt a little intimidated. It was a real duel without a judge. What was Kayla thinking when she challenged him?

At this time, Kayla Vesta with tightly pulled hair came out of the women's locker room. Murmurs and agitated voices were heard everywhere. It was even more shocking than the arrival of Nicholas.

    - What is it?

-Oh my god ... is this a weapon?

Kayla's outfit remained the same as her regular training uniform. Even the hair tied together was no different from normal hair. But there was something strange in her hand.

    - Is that the mop handle?

    - What is it there on it?

All eyes of the crowd were fixed on the weapon Kayla had brought. A long wooden bar reminiscent of a mop handle. The body of the rod appeared to be covered in metal, and an unknown shiny thing was embedded in the metal.

Kayla Vesta's lips spread into a joyous smile. She spoke to Nicholas in an inaudible whisper.

-You know, this older sister has killed people before.

This look did not seem to express fear at all.

    ***

Kayla brought back a rounded wooden rod wrapped around a thin sheet of metal. It was just a handle, and it was completely covered with a metal plate.

-But what is this flickering thing?

The student looked at the weapon that Kayla brought and analyzed what it was.

    - What's on the metal side? It shines. Is it a piece of glass?

    - No, it looks like an ordinary stone. It doesn't look sharp.

There were students who were divided about what kind of strange weapon Kayla brought.

She wrapped a wooden stick with an iron plate. Because she will have to deal with a sword. It is too heavy to use an iron bar as a base.

-But how will she deal with Nicholas?-

-Wouldn't it be better to take a sword? What is she thinking about?

Regardless of what others were talking about, Kayla wrapped bandages around her hands. There was no protection on the tracksuit.

    - She won't even have protection?

    - What is she trying to do?

The male student grumbled about Kayla's outfit. It looked like he was rebuking her, but in reality it was a tone filled with concern.

    - This is one of the conditions that Kayla Vesta had. Come without protective equipment.

The male student was surprised when a beautiful red-haired girl intervened. The redheaded girl was Marianne Dmirov, a third grade student.

    - Crazy ...

The male student who couldn't speak harsh words because Marianne Dmirov was standing in front of him just clicked his tongue.

Hearing this, the officials in the training room called the magic healer in advance and prepared a stretcher and first aid medication. They were all ready for Kayla Vesta. The eyes of all the people were now fixed on Kayla Vesta. Without knowing it, Nicholas was the only one who relaxed even more, thinking that all eyes were fixed on him.

    - Are you feeling well today?

Even the same male students who watched said it wasn't?

-Nicholas, didn't you say you were preparing to be a knight?

    - Kayla Vesta's father is the Commander of the Guardian Knights. Are you out of your mind?

Even if the first graders did not know it, all the second graders and third graders knew. Nicholas mocked Franz and he, unable to bear it, dropped out. Now his sister has transferred to Boarding Academy, and that Kayla has become a new target for Nicholas.

For those who didn’t know it, Nicholas’s smile was clear and kind. Whenever he laughed, the harsh impression, when he was expressionless, gave way to the best, and he took advantage of it. He persuaded his superiors with his radiant smile. He was weak for the strong and strong for the weak, but his tactics captured the hearts of the teachers and forced them to side with him.

On the other hand, Vesta was not like that. She's just ordinary and a little eccentric, like kids at this age. While it wasn't that bad, she had to suffer when she faced an adversary like Nicholas.

    - Both sides are ready!

Fencing teacher Kayla shouted the signal even before the fight began. Although she decided not to intervene under any circumstances, Kayla was already planning to intervene immediately if Kayla was in danger.

    - To the appropriate places ...

The duel began as Kayla's long sword sliced through the air. But nobody moved.

    -Why don't you start?

They looked at each other and waited for one side to budge. Kayla's expression was like a blade, in contrast to the face, which was just elated, and Nicholas had a calm face.

However, Kayla's posture, holding the weapon with both hands, was calm and seemed to have no gaps. Nicholas, becoming more and more relaxed, relaxed his posture.

    - I will purposely give the girl a chance to start Persian. I'm a busy person too. Older sister. Nicholas gradually approached Kayla, holding the hilt in his right hand.

    - Then I'll go first.

Nicholas's legs quickly rushed to Kayla and Kayla's eyes immediately focused on one point. As if she knew from the start which way Nicholas's sword would be pointed.

Kayla blocked Nicholas's sword with her weapon. Obviously, Kayla's strength was not enough. Nicholas relaxed and smiled.

    - Listen, don't we have a difference in strength? Don't be humiliated here, declare your defeat and just step back. I don't want to be a criminal who hurts a woman.

But only for a moment. Kayla's weapon began to fend off Nicholas's sword. Something like a shiny stone began to sway the blade intensely.

Dd-duck! Dd-duck! Nicholas's sword was pushed aside by rough friction as it collided with a shiny stone. Nicholas's

    eyes widened.

    - Gha.

In one motion, one of the two-handed sword's blades was broken to the jagged edges.

-My… what have you done with my sword!

Kayla's impassive face finally smiled at him.

Nicholas, who was surprised, began to worry. He lost his temper as if it was the sword he loved so much and held it high, trying to hit Kayla. But Kayla Vesta, naturally, avoided his not too fast movement. She then climbed into a loophole in front of Nicholas and stabbed him in the side with her weapon.

    - Gha!

Nicholas was struck squarely in the ribs and fell to his knees to the floor, dropping his two-handed longsword. But Kayla did not miss this moment, and once again hit Nicholas on the back.

    Hit!

    - Kha!

Nicholas spat and began to cough frequently. But Kayla didn't stop, she hit Nicholas in the back again.

Hit! The sound was loud. It sounded like the sound of bones flying out.

Nicholas, who collapsed forward, barely managed to hold on to his arms, but this time he was hit on the head with a shin.

-T-This is not fair play! Against someone who has nothing to defend with!

A second grade student who had come with Nicholas shouted. Kayla, the fencing teacher, also stood up and watched. But from the very beginning, it was an incipient duel. Which will end when someone falls.

Nicholas fell to the floor with a crash. Kayla grabbed Nicholas by the hair and pulled him up and threw him back onto the floor.

    Pan! Pan! Pan!

There was the sound of blood splashing and the sound of a broken head. It was not a duel or anything else. It was just a one-sided attack. Eventually, fencing teacher Kayla, Ritaus, and the Knights ran and caught Kayla. When several people rushed to her and tried to stop her, Kayla fought desperately. Kayla screamed impatiently, unable to look at it.

    - Stop, stop! A little more and Nicholas will die.

However, Kayla's ferocious eyes were fixed on Nicholas. Like an angry beast, she roared, ready to break free and kill Nicholas. Ritaus walked over to sort out this chaotic situation.

    - The duel is over, there is a wounded man. Please give him first aid quickly.

In the end, Nicholas used all the therapist magicians, stretchers, and all kinds of medicines prepared by the Academy. -Nicholas, can you hear me? Don't you dare lose consciousness!

Nicholas, who fell to the floor and received first aid from a therapist magician, was convulsed. The healer's face darkened as if the situation was serious.

-We need to go to the magic clinic immediately, not here. Stretcher, carriage and people, please! In the midst of the turmoil, the knights had to calm Kayla, who was still looking only at Nicholas.

    - Stop it, the duel is over. Nicholas can no longer resist.

But Kayla shook off the hands of the knights who held her. Nicholas's limp body, carried on a stretcher, followed with angry eyes.

On that day, the Kratie Boarding Academy was turned upside down.

Kayla was summoned to the principal's office to hear the scolding and had to write a letter of apology right there. Until a decision was made, she was suspended from classes and remained in the dorm all day.

Then, a few days later, all the teachers from the Kratie Boarding Academy gathered. This step is aimed at punishing Kayla, who, under the pretext of a duel, brought the student Nicholas to a pulp. Each of them had a guide to school rules in their hands, followed by a discussion.

An hour later, Kayla's fate was sealed. Kayla Vesta's knight class student.

No disciplinary action. Subtraction of 0 points.

    ***

After the decision about me was made, Ophelia was most delighted.

    - Kayla, Kayla, Kayla!

Ophelia rushed to me, shouting my name in alarm.

    - I'm so glad. I was very nervous!

Ophelia, who hugged me, began to cry, as she had very hard endured the recent events.

    - Even if I am punished, I will only be deducted three points.

    - Does not matter! My heart was pounding very hard all these days, I did not know what would happen to you. She was followed by Iris and Marianne of Class A.

-I’m so glad you weren’t hurt. I was worried.

    - All the students of the Academy are now talking about you.

    - But, Kayla, are you okay? Will these events affect you in any way when you debut in society? -You are very lucky not to have been punished, Iris said.

    - But why?

-The aristocratic students are afraid of you.

I was a little confused. This was an unexpected fact. To be honest, I could not even remember what happened since the middle of the fight, because I lost my sobriety a little. I realized that I had done something crazy out of an excess of emotion, but when I came to, I was already writing a letter of apology in the school office. Therefore, I could well understand such reactions.

    - If you look at it from the outside ... Soon you will be known as a fan who beat men to a pulp in social circles. Marianne spoke calmly. As if there was nothing special about it.

    - Kayla, won't it be difficult for you to get married?

Ophelia said with tears. Iris helped too. I was already engaged, but broke off the engagement, plus I became involved in a similar incident.

-I'm sure you must be prepared to lose your reputation among the high-ranking nobles. In the marriage field, things will not be so good.

When I saw my friends who were worried about my marriage, I realized that this is not my world. Of course, even in the world I live in, I don't like violent people who beat someone to death. But the reputation here was not so good. As you get it, you will lose it.

But even so, I have no regrets. I didn't want to marry anyone in the world, not just Ritaus.

In the original, all male characters except my father wanted my little brother Franz. From the very birth, their DNA will have the hidden meaning of these Cells created by the author.

Why would I marry and live in such a world? I don't know when my husband will turn his eyes to my brother.

From now on, I will live alone, and when I grow old, one of my cousin's children will be my successor. I thought about it rather lightly.

    ***

    - This that girl, that girl. Kayla Vesta.

-Ah, the woman who turned Nicholas into a bloody scarecrow.

    - Hush hush. She has good hearing.

Male students who appeared to be in the same third grade were buzzing. Since my struggle with Nicholas Chiade, there have been many different views directed at me at the Boarding Academy. But there was nothing wrong with that. The duel also had positive consequences.

Some students said they were biased and then changed their minds. At first they thought I was a reserve parachute instead of a weak brother for the Vesta family.

It hadn't even been a few months since I held the sword, but I was about to become a knight. It was an absurd story that anyone has heard. In particular, this story was told by those who were unhappy that the next Commander of the Guardian Knights would be a man who relied solely on the power of Schuette's spiritual sword. If I were Master Schuette, the story would be completely different, but it was not.

    - You do not look like an ordinary aristocrat.

    - Honestly, I misunderstood you. But now I know. Kayla Vesta will do whatever she wants.

Talking to me were Lilith, Lavian, and Serena, students in their knight class, with whom I had never been close. These were female students who had never spoken to me once before.

-To be honest, I was horrified that you lost your mind and what you did to Nicholas ... I have to admit it.

-Maybe the male students in the knight class do the same.

In short, everyone decided that I was a crazy woman who should not be touched? Apparently after this incident, the crowd, which was focused on me, no longer approached. As if they didn’t even want to look at me, they didn’t look in my direction, even if I looked at them frankly. Perhaps thanks to Nicholas' absence, but peace seemed to be at last.

In addition, everyone expected my disciplinary scores to be lowered because of the violence. However, my bill remained the same and I didn't even receive any disciplinary action, so I looked shocked.

I carefully read the school rules guide before applying for a duel. Obviously, brutality in a fight should have been punished with a three-point subtraction. However, there were no points at all about the violent situation that occurred during the duel or whether the opponent was injured.

How sloppy the system was, that when Franz was hit, they weren't disciplined at all. This is because Nicholas' actions have been classified as -in-game trauma.Of course, this was due to the strong influence of the Marquis Chiade, Nicholas's family.

So I applied for a duel with the spirit of gambling. Even if I failed, I would only get -3 points. It was better than getting a 30 point deduction for using Schuette.

-I'm interested in the weapon Kayla brought. What is this stone in the weapon? He shone brightly.

Serena, a 4th year student in the knight class, asked. Everyone was interested in the shiny stone that destroyed Nicholas's sword.

    - It's a diamond.

The three students' eyes widened at my words.

    - You mean you used a rough diamond?

    - I ordered something that cannot be used as jewelry.

    - Wow, Kayla is really well prepared.

Lavian looked at me admiringly. I was a little confused. In fact, I have prepared something else. The belly and lower leg were protected by steel plates and covered with clothes and boots. Even if it didn't work on Nicholas, after I kicked him, it still left a hole. So there was nothing I could do. I should at least compensate for my weakness in front of

Nicholas. Someone might say that this is cowardice, but that was my way.

In fact, I also thought I would be repulsed. Therefore, the strategy I have chosen is a quick fix. I quickly attacked the breach and hit a vital point when it passed out for a while. It had to happen very quickly and I didn't want to see any gaps from my side for a moment.

To do this, I had to admit that I was much weaker than Nicholas without using Schuette. My strength is lower than that of Nicholas, so I chose a wooden stick that is flexible and of moderate weight over a sword.

I came up with an idea for a mop handle that I saw in the dressing room. To protect the rod, the surface was wrapped in a steel plate and the surface was in laid with diamonds. It was made by collecting only those sizes that could not be used as jewelry, and I really liked the source. The weapon weighed very little, but compensated for the lack of impact force.

Instead, I needed strength to lift him for a long time. I trained with dumbbells of the same weight whenever I was resting alone in the dorm.

And the result is a huge success.

Even if the Academy wanted to punish me, they would not be able to, because I did not break any rules.

While I was still on probation, Marquis Chiade came to look me in the face and made a fuss. It was the teachers who went out of their way to stop the enraged Marquis Chiade.

If he came and yelled at me, I would not have restrained myself and told Franz's story and it would have come to a family scandal. An angry father would try to keep the Chiade family from joining the ranks of the Imperial Guardian Knights forever. It was frustrating, so I was glad I hadn't encountered it.

It was only later that I found out that the people who helped me in the faculty meeting were Kayla, a fencing teacher, and students in the knight class.

The real knights, not Nicholas's group, protected me regardless of men and women. Franz continued to be bullied by Nicholas, and later claimed that he was targeted by Nicholas. It was unexpected.

Kayla, a fencing teacher, also stated that Nicholas fought constantly. This is how I became a righteous man who applied for a fair fight against injustice.

Therefore, in front of them, I had to hide the fact that I wore steel plates around my body. It was I who told Nicholas to get out without protective gear.

    ***

After about a month, Nicholas recovered and returned to the Academy. It is said that Nicholas recovered quickly thanks to the first aid of a magical therapist. However, he did not come out for so long due to psychological shock. He turned out to be sensitive. It was unexpected.

For a month without Nicholas, I was in a good mood because I passed the tests and got good grades. My behavioral grades were not downgraded, and my grades in the humanities subjects were well above the 90 average.

I was also very accustomed to basic Sentinel style swordplay, and was now able to compete with other people. It wasn't enough to beat someone, but to some extent my skills were close to the rest.

When I was training with Lavian, a student in the knight class, there was a bit of a commotion behind me. Looking around, I saw that Nicholas had returned to the training room.

Nicholas's face grew longer and sharper, as if he had lost weight. Then I suddenly met his gaze. I turned my head to look at the killing eyes. It seemed to me that I stepped on him for sure, but it seems that it was not so.

Nicholas's followers slowly approached him. They seemed to be talking to each other, but it bothered me because I didn't hear anything.

    - Kayla, focus!

Hearing Lavian's voice, I regained consciousness and focused on the battle. But when I saw Nicholas approaching me, I felt that my concern was right.

Nicholas came up to me with his group of people. The wound on his forehead, which I gave him, was now very imperceptible. After all, magical healing seems to be as effective as it is expensive.

    - Last time I owe a lot to Kayla.

He is still very cunning. However, his eyes were full of life. He knows I almost killed him.

    - I'll pay you back another time.

Nicholas bent down slightly, placing his right hand on his chest. It sounded like a polite greeting, but the eyes looked at me in an unusual way.

    You're going to get revenge.

A red light came on in my head and an insane warning sounded. If they attack back, they'll do it in a deserted place, right?

I immediately ran to the school office and asked for the Academy guide. The institute's information card was a large map handed out to students, showing buildings, gardens, gates, and rumors at the Academy.

A garden is laid out between the male and female dormitories. And there was a fountain in the garden, where students often met each other when they walked. Next to the garden there was a stable and a riding ground, and behind it was an adjoining training hall.

    - This is the building of the women's corps, where we conduct classes. This is the building of the men's building B. And the library.

I marked the street with a red pencil. The main road, the path where the small roads meet, and the location of the main and rear gates. Two small doors.

I marked my movements with dotted lines and marked with a cross where there were few people. When I'm alone, I need to send to where there are many people. As far as possible, I went with Ophelia, Iris, or the students from the knight's class. Thanks to this, I was able to avoid Nicholas for about two weeks. However, no matter how careful I was, there might come a moment when I would be left alone. That is exactly what it was today.

    - What? Do you have to come back right now?

Ophelia, who was eating ice cream with me at the dessert shop, hastily received a messenger bird from her home. It was news that Ophelia's father was in critical condition. Unexpectedly, the authorities came to check the accounting books, and Ophelia's father, who played a trick on them, was married, he had a heart attack.

What the hell is Ophelia's dad doing?

    - Forgive me, Kayla. Come back alone. It will be okay if you just walk through the main gate and follow the main road. I'm leaving right now.

    - Okay, hurry up and leave.

Ophelia was a friend of mine who listened to the situation and tried not to leave me alone. In this way, I could fully understand the sudden situation.

However, when I entered the Boarding Academy in Kratie, my thoughts became more confused. The sun

went down, the sunset went down, and there was no one at the Academy except me. We need to hurry back to the Dormitory. Nicholas and his group appeared in front of me, hurriedly overtaking. Giggling at me. Oh, I can see you.

    - You're finally alone, Kayla.

Nicholas took the lead and walked slowly towards me. Nicholas and his group were in uniform, but they had a rapier in their hands. When I looked closely, it turned out that it was not for practice, but for practical use. I decided to get even. On the contrary, my clothes are only Kratie's uniform with a long skirt.

I ran to the women's Dormitory. However, the long legs of the men and their high speed could not be overcome.

After changing my mind, I turned again and headed for the main gate. Passers-by could pass through the main gate. I have to ask for help. Better to go out and call people than stay here.

    Yes, there, outside ... Outside?!

I ran as fast as I could and headed for the front door. The day I suddenly tried to go outside, Nicholas's crowd followed me relentlessly. I ran as fast as I could, barely breathing. I walked out of the main gate, passed the

roadway, and crossed the bridge to the shopping area.

Then someone pulled my hair from behind. He was a follower of Nicholas. I was surrounded by a crowd, my hair was caught. There were a few passers-by, but they were terrified and no one seemed to think of help.

    - Finally caught. You run away like a rat.

Nicholas's smiling face no longer looked good, perhaps because he had lost weight.

    - So what do you want me to do? Do you want me to break your head first? Or do you want me to break your ribs?

Nicholas smiled wickedly and brought his face closer to mine.

-Or do you want me to ... prevent you from getting married?-

Ha, I burst out laughing. It was so funny that I couldn't stop laughing.

    - What's the matter with her? Has she lost her mind?

-Are you so scared that you’re stupid?

The rest of the guys looked at me like I was insane. They are such idiots. They still do not understand what situation they are in.

    - You are so stupid. We are outside the Academy.

At that moment, Nicholas's face changed. I put my right hand to my lips.

    - Schuette.

    ***

    - Wait, wait! Do not hit me…

Nicholas, who was about to be beaten, begged for alms by selling his friends, but I did not listen. -I told you I only deal with one guy, right?

    Pack!

Regardless of the fact that Schuette's form was dull, it would be very painful because my physical strength had doubled. Many times more than in a training room. I beat Nicholas until he passed out.

    Boom!

Nicholas fell like a rag. Looking at his momentarily rising chest, one can say that he is still alive. I chased those who ran away to the next target. The next target is the sophomore who grabbed my hair. How dare a

young man who is only 15 years old grab my hair?

Using the dexterity Schuette had increased, I caught up with the fugitive and grabbed him by the same hair.

    - Aaaa! Why me? I'm sure you're only dealing with one ...

He seems to remember what I said earlier. Very nice of you.

    - So now it's you!

I grabbed his hair again and hit him mercilessly. If he hit his head on the floor right now, he would die, so I punched him in the stomach instead. He will have several broken ribs, but the magicians will fix that too.

I grabbed the other two before they could arrive at the Academy. I didn't know it was so hard to hit without making me die.

After taking care of them, I reported this to a magical therapist who lived at the Kratie Boarding Academy. Even if it wasn't inside the Academy, the students fought with each other and ended up losing points.

-3 points each. Four guys I beat up. In the end, I got -12 points and -1 point for entering the men's dorm without permission. Having scored a total of -13 points, there were 87 points for behavior.

And I had no complaints, because these measures were the same for Nicholas and his group who followed me.

Nicholas returned home and rested under the pretext of illness. It was rumored that he would have to re- study for the third year due to frequent absences as it would be difficult for him to advance in the service. In any case, this is none of my business.

This was the world of my academic life, which I found after receiving my grade. No one started a fight with me, and Leodora no longer bothers me with entering the Salon.

    ***

I enjoyed the peace and went home to coach Franz on weekends. As expected, he was a kid who fit well with Shitsuro, so the shield-shaped barrier that surrounded the entire mansion was gorgeous and beautiful.

Franz's face also looked more confident than before. It used to scare me, but now it looked good.

    - Sister, I'm sorry! Time is over. I'll be right back.

Franz, who had overcome the Schitzro barrier, glanced at the watch in his hands and hurriedly began to put on his jacket.

    - Did you have an appointment?

    - Lady Marianne. She asked me to go with her to the migratory bird fair in the Imperial Capital.

    -… You meet often.

-Lady Marianne also loves migratory birds. Last week, I also talked about new things all day.

Indeed ... is it so? Marianne at the Academy was only interested in the position of the Empire, diplomatic relations with neighboring countries, the annual budget of the Empire and the cash flow of the market.

I met her often because she was in the same liberal arts class as me, but she was a kid who doesn't even know what a sparrow looks like, let alone migratory birds. I thought, watching Franz's back as he went to the meeting place.

Let them solve their own problems. In any case, marriage is their distant future. These two were only fifteen years old.

    ***

Time passed, and the end of the semester approached. The results of my last test were very good, so I was very happy.

    - Kayla, all humanitarian subjects are at their best! Marvelous!

    - Management and accounting are especially difficult subjects, you have a very complex mind.

Ophelia and Iris admired my work. Although the main subjects were a little difficult for me, management and accounting were different. I remembered my days at work and felt refreshed.

Lessons in the training room also became more fun. Basic Sentinel sword skills were now fully mastered and I was learning How to Strike a Control Point Sentinel Style. The rapier was definitely good for immediately hitting the opponent's sensitive vital points with a thin blade. Initially, I was weak in striking with the blade, but thanks to this training, I felt that my weaknesses were gradually compensating. Day after day, I began to achieve satisfactory results.

The holidays are starting soon. After taking a bath, I lifted my tired body up the stairs and lay down on the bunk bed. My mind was hazy, as if my body was slowly fading away.

Is this a dream or a fantasy? It must be a dream, right?

The child was again left alone in the living room.

The lights were off and the TV was only on in the quiet living room. My brother looked at me and the color screen changed rapidly.

It's ten o'clock in the evening

... This is the very day.

But after working overtime, I was so tired that I couldn't even afford to look at my brother. I flopped down on the bed and closed my eyes for a long time.

After the presentation that day, the boss, who liked my plan, assigned it to a cousin. I was preparing for the project, taking into account the fact that I could not sleep normally for a month. I had to take all my work home.

I didn't want to do anything. I just wanted to close my eyes and rest. I didn't want to sleep, but I just didn't want to do anything.

    - Sister…

My brother carefully opened the door and called me.

    - What about rice?

At that moment, I got very angry and yelled at my brother. I shouldn't have done this.

    - I'm working now, do I need to cook you dinner? Take care of yourself!

My younger brother closed the door again carefully, looking at me calmly. Maybe my younger brother wanted to ask me if I wanted to eat and not cook. But it was impossible to find out. Because I didn't ask.

I woke up again and left the room because I was tired, but I could not sleep at all. Wash, change and sleep. It was still dark outside. In the dark Salon, the younger brother stared blankly at the silent TV.

Why is he watching TV with the sound muted? After taking a shower, I returned to my room without speaking to my brother.

When I was lying on the bed, I thought that I would lie down for a while, so I turned on my smartphone. I skimmed roughly through dramas and entertainment that I had missed and clicked on websites. I saw a BL genre manhwa that I read when I was under stress.

    -Magic Mirage-.

I didn't like anything except the beautiful picture. Everything from the characters to the storytelling was terrible.

But I paid the full amount of money for this. Looking at this ridiculous provocative story, I felt that at this moment I was relieving stress.

    I know.

I shouldn't have done this that day.

Tears flowed from my eyes even though I knew it was a dream soaking my pillowcase. If I could go back in time, I would talk to you like this.

    - Have you already eaten?

    - How are things at school?

    - Was it hard for you?

    -I'm sorry I didn't notice earlier. I'm terribly sorry.

Your sister ... is always on your side.

    ***

For a whole month before the holidays, we had a very leisurely pastime. Now I only had a promotion test in the classroom, and my friends made up for the insufficient points by attending extra classes.

    - Kayla, with a promotion! I won't be able to see you in the same class from next semester. This is terrible. My friends took me to a dessert shop in the mall to celebrate my promotion with a little party.

    - I have not yet passed the test and have not been promoted.

Will it be a huge shame if I fail? However, the chocolate eclair and the dipromat strawberry cream cake were so delicious. Eating sweets made me want to live. It would be in vain if dessert remained, so I had to eat it all. Even if it was packaged, there was no refrigerator, so the milk and egg snacks would quickly go bad.

On that day, Marianne Dmirov from Class A joined us. Somehow, Marianne became very close to my friends.

    - So Marianne made her debut?

Ophelia no longer gave Marianne the Lady title.

    - Yes, this year I had a meeting with other aristocrats in the palace.

Marianne still addressed everyone with similar honors. She was polite not only to her classmates, but also to other people.

Come to think of it, this is exactly what Kayla Vesta was in the original. Being possessed, I imitated Kayla's speech and behavior for a while. However, my original personality gradually emerged, and now my family treated me without any discomfort.

    - Wow, the palace? It must have been cool.

Iris and Kayla hadn't debuted yet, so they weren't particularly interested in it. Marianne shook her head in admiration for Ophelia.

    - Nothing special. Dance in a pink or yellow dress, wait and dance again. I think the funniest thing was to hurry home before midnight.

There was no interest in Marianne's voice.

    - And your partner? Your fiancé, Mister Franz?

    - My father did it for me.

I remembered that Franz could not go to the New Year's ball at the palace because of a cold. My parents were very sorry then.

    - Since then, I have not been to any social event. It's not that I didn't go on purpose, but because I was so busy that I forgot about the invitation. I couldn't go to them often, so many invitations were declined.

Marianne smiled as if it didn't matter much.

    - We are not that close from the very beginning, so I did not attach much importance to this.

Obviously, the interests were different, so it seemed insignificant to Marianne. I didn't know this when I first saw her in the summer, but the more I got to know her, the more interesting she became.

-I heard something from my married cousin. Society has recently begun to buzz actively. A stately beautiful girl made her debut in the Eiser family.

Iris continued as she sipped her tea.

    - Eiser family?

    - Yes, she is a relative of Ritaus Eiser. Rumor has it that she might be Sir Ritaus's new fiancée. What was her name? .. I don’t remember.

Then Iris looked at me. She must have been embarrassed to talk about my failed groom. -I'm fine, Iris. We made a pretty good deal.

    - No, I'm sorry. I'll be careful next time. I'm really okay, but Iris was very sorry.

    - Even if it really doesn't matter. By the way, I didn't know. I can't believe that there was such a beautiful girl in the Eiser family.

I took an interest in the topic that Iris brought up to change the atmosphere. The memory of Kayla Vesta

reminds me of meeting all of the Earl's people during her engagement. There were so many people there that I could not remember every face.

    - I refuse all invitations to tea parties to which I received invitations, but not to parties. So when I went to my relative's house in the Imperial City, I saw her there.

Iris stared out into space, as if remembering a party she was at the weekend.

    - She's pretty?

Ophelia, surprised, insisted on answering. -She's not just beautiful.

    It's not a compliment.

    - With blond hair and purple eyes ... How should I put it? She was lovely, but there was something strange about it.

    - What's so strange about that?

Iris's expression grew even worse. The expression that appeared when she could not solve the question that was brewing in her head.

    - I do not know. Every time she comes to a party, she always wears a diamond choker around her neck. Even with a dress that covers the neck. There is a very wide ribbon on the necklace.

Iris explained the shape of the rather wide choker by pushing her thumb and forefinger back.

-She has a long neck, a beautiful long neck, Ophelia muttered admiringly.

-Her parents must be very strict.

For unmarried women, some families were reluctant to show their daughters' necks or shoulders. But Iris shook her head. I don't think that's what she's trying to say.

    - Nobody heard her talking.

    - Is she deaf?

Ophelia also listened to Iris, as if she was interested. Ophelia had previously been interested in secular stories.

    - It wasn't like that. She seemed to understand what people were talking about. I heard she hurt her neck.

    - Wow, just like in a fairy tale. A mysterious girl who never speaks.

Ophelia's eyes sparkled. On the other hand, I pretended to be interested because of Iris, but listened to secular stories. So far, I didn't want to debut.

However, this did not concern anyone in society. It was another battlefield where noble looking people

laughed, attacked, defended themselves, sided, and fought in groups. Communication was not everywhere, and it was safe to say that all public places where people gathered were loud.

This meant that I didn't care about the social world, so I might have problems in the future.

    ***

The next day, I was notified that I was suspended from the monthly promotion exam due to bad behavior.

The overall assessment of my behavior should have been 87 points. However, it was said that the report card was 77. Apparently the only problem I caused was the beating of Nicholas' mob outside the Academy.

Deduction of 23 points. I looked at the detailed description of the fine received.

[Unauthorized entry into the male dorm -1 point

Violent actions caused by a quarrel with students -12 points

    Free voting -10 points

The total deduction is 23 points. ]

It seemed to me that someone hit me on the back of the head.

Free voting? This was clearly a clause in the school rules manual, but there was no explanation for it. Although there were certain points indicating that who was selected in the top five, gaining the most votes, received -10 points. This was the part I missed because it didn't seem very important to me.

I showed Ophelia my report card.

    - Ophelia, when did you vote?

Ophelia looked at my report card, and her expression changed to surprise.

    - Kayla, last time we had a ballot on our table.

If you think about it, there was such a vote a month ago. A ballot paper that records the names of students who misbehave during the same grade and records the grade and name of the voter.

The very nature of free voting was not very interesting to me, so I did not vote for anyone. And I happily forgot about it.

I immediately rushed to the office. When I was asked what the vote was, students of the same class at the Academy voted once a semester. The first five selected students received 10 penalty points.

The vote is said to have been made with the intention of keeping an eye on each other and always being careful and attentive. And I got first place with an overwhelming difference compared to second place.

    - I don't know why I got all these voices. I treated the other students well and did not harm anyone. I am…

At that moment, Nicholas and the crowd flashed in my head. Are you saying it's all because of them? But I was definitely a victim. I just counterattacked. Why? I wonder which student voted for me?

    - Can I find out who voted for me?

    -I can't tell you that.

The staff at the school refused immediately. Then why are there many voters there? Perhaps this is because of someone whose name should never be on the ballot.

    - Then how many people voted for me.

When I changed the methodology, an Academy staff member pulled out the Behavior Voting Protocol from the bookshelf and opened it. On the pages were the names of the first students in the order in which they were selected, and I clearly had the most votes.

When the clerk turned over the sheet, I looked closely, the names turned out to be quite familiar. Because they were all aristocrats. And I think most of the members of the Salon that I remember chose me. At that moment, I saw the name of Leodora Schreman on the list. As expected, she chose me.

    - A total of 62 students voted for Kayla Vesta. There are no problems with promotion, but now it is impossible to do it. Next time, you better watch your behavior.

I held back my anger and breathed in. Leaving the office, I could not contain my anger. I immediately went to class and called Leodora.

    - Do you want to ask about voting?

I was so excited that it was difficult for me to be polite. However, Leodora, who was sitting in her place, smiled lazily when she saw me.

-I'm sure you know the reason much better than me. Didn't you injure Nicholas Chiade and then riot after that? Including me…

Leodora's eyes, like a peridot, looked at the class once.

-… Many of them felt anxious. After this incident, they said that they were scared to be in the same class as Kayla.

I felt my hands shake. The blood drained from his face. She is an aristocrat and a Duchess.

-I'm more afraid of you. Is it fun to have a group of people who hate you? -

I wanted to shoot her, but I restrained myself. Because I didn't even want to talk anymore. I didn't even want to go to the rest of the classes, but I had to endure. I couldn't increase the deduction. I was so depressed that I went back to the dorm in between training.

Ophelia and other friends must have been worried, so they bought sweet delicacies and came to me.

    - She also had the right to vote. I told you I hate Leodora. I didn’t expect her to approve of Kayla. Because she used to do that to helpless aristocrats like me, Iris said calmly in a weak voice. Iris has suffered from this since she was a freshman. It was amazing.

    - I was always in the top five until Kayla came. The first time I got no deduction.

Iris said it as a joke, but I couldn't laugh. I cannot believe that I will not be able to participate in the exam.

    - This is definitely an unreasonable and unfair vote. I had never been touched before, so I didn't know how serious it was, but today I understood.

Marianne says she still had no idea what Leodora was up to. Marianne must have occupied a very prominent place in the Salon, but Marianne's father, Duke Dmirov, was in charge of administrative affairs, so she certainly would not have been touched.

-I’m leaving the Salon at once. Forgive me, Kayla. I was unable to help.

Marianne's face, which usually only had a stern expression, expressed a rare feeling of anger.

-Should I have joined the Salon?

    I rarely regret.

But they hated me. Also, I had problems with Nicholas. Leodora would not want me to stand out even more.

    - No, I'm glad you didn't. I'm going to leave tomorrow. Don't worry, Kayla. I will never let this happen again.

Ah, angry Marianne looked so cool. She's so cool. She's younger than me, but she's cool. What a wonderful woman to marry Franz!

-But don't commoners have sitting rooms?

I was suddenly curious. I just walked back and forth between the training room, library, classroom, and dorm.

I think I could attend more events at the Academy, but I did not consider this option because I was not interested. Because of this, I didn't even know what Free Vote was.

    - The Salon was created by aristocrats to make a distinctive club. This is, in fact, a separate club in the Academy.

There was a club of amateurs, where people could freely enter and leave, without dividing into commoners and nobles. Reading club, embroidery club, theater club, riding club. However, Kratie's first aristocratic students are said to have created their own club called the Salon to distinguish themselves from the common people.

    - The rank among students here reflects the social status of their parents.

Iris answered coldly. Iris was also a noblewoman, but she herself had no power. She sold her territories for her father's debts, so there was nothing left but his title. Therefore, the Klein family was not recognized by aristocrats as a noble family.

    - They are exploiting the fact that without graduating from Kratie you cannot get the title.

If there is no heir to the title, the territory and title will be returned to the Empire. So the nobles had to graduate from Kratie, although they did not like it. Under the great auspices of the Imperial Palace and secular people, Kratie behaved in a very biased manner.

-I’ll talk to my father and contact my relatives to find a way. Kayla, tell your parents about this. Franz was bullied here as well, so we won't just wait and watch.

I nodded in response to Marianne's words. I, too, could not leave everything as it is.

    - Cheer up, Kayla. We will find out what we can do and will do as much as we can. Ophelia squeezed my hand tightly and said: It was reassuring, even if it was just words.

My family should have complained about Franz's bullying earlier, but it never happened. I just thought that Franz cannot adapt because he is being bullied. I'm a girl and I had a lot less problems, but what about Franz who used the man's Dormitory?

That same evening, I informed my parents of what had happened today by means of an urgent telegram. Now a family quarrel was inevitable.

And the next day, when I returned to the Dormitory, four letters arrived with the messenger bird. Two of these were two responses from three girls' schools I contacted for Franz.

The answer was negative. No matter how bad the conditions of their management and no matter how much money they lack, they cannot accept such ridiculous requests. My request seemed so absurd.

I asked for co-educational schools for girls to be transferred only for a certain period of time. I asked to put Franz in a coeducational school and not accept other boys.

It was probably too much. That's why I said I would donate a lot. I have to protect him from human eyes until Franz becomes Master Shitsuro.

The reason I was obsessed with a place to hide Franz was because he was connected with men even after he left Kratie. First of all, while I was away, Ritaus visited Franz, and they met again.

-I continued to send you letters. But I was always worried because there was no answer. I wondered if you were mad at me.

-Ritaus, I sent you letters too. I thought you were busy because you didn't answer me.

    - Someone stole our letters.

They didn't know where their letters had vanished thanks to the silence of the butler Alto, but they contacted again.

In addition, Ritaus poses a great risk in itself, and Franz began to associate with new men. He had recently joined a private club called the Migratory Birds Club, and I was suspicious of the all-aristocratic group.

Despite the fact that I was in front of them, they said to Franz:

-Our Franz is so cute. Like a lark.

    - Why is he so popular with men? That's why I can't help but find a place to hide Franz.

I threw the answers into the trash can and opened the pink envelope first of the two remaining. Dry roses

were attached to the outside of the envelope. I was hoping it would be a letter from another girls' school, but to my disappointment, it was a love letter.

I have read this letter in general terms, which is not worth reading. The person who wrote this letter was not sane. When I close my eyes, I think of you without hesitation, it reminds me of me. Hence, it was a letter proposing marriage.

The Marquis of Vesta has already contributed to this. This guy must have a head. I tore open the pink letter and threw it into the trash can. And I touched the messenger bird. The beak of the magic messenger bird opened and the cry of my father, the Marquis of Vesta, was heard.

-The Marquis Chiade wants us to be his relatives. Did you hear? Nicholas Chiade! You said he was the one who mocked Franz and you.

    - Have you already talked about this? I sent you a special telegram.

    - Quickly. I received a letter that said something about love.

-How dare you, Chiade, do this to my family! Wait, you're not on the same page with Nicholas or something, are you?

    - Who do you take me for?

I felt the Marquis Vesta's anger seem to subside a little.

    - I can't believe the results of the vote.-\

-I can't believe it either, Father.

    - I'll find a way. Wait.

    - Thank you, father.

    - And Nicholas or whatever else, rip up the letter he sent you.-

    - I have already done it.

After talking with my father, I sent the messenger bird through the window again. I was out of my mind. I do not know what's happening.

Then my eyes fell on the last letter. I haven't opened it yet. The envelope was thin and the letter was very tight inside, so it looked like a postcard. When I opened the envelope, I smelled a faint scent of lilacs.

    [Dear Lady Kayla Vesta.

The weather approaching winter is rather cool and cold. How is the weather where the Lady lives?

I was the person that Lady helped when I was at Berg station. She protected me from the Blood Demon.

    Do you remember me?

    Then I was really grateful.

I still cannot forget the shining image of the Lady. I heard that the holidays are coming soon.

I am sending you an invitation to say thank you Lady. 2 weeks later, Saturday at 2pm.

I'll have a tea party at Count Eiser's. I will be very glad if the Lady comes. I will be waiting for you.

    Aster Lysch ]

The date on the postcard was the first day of vacation ... I dropped the postcard.

CHAPTER 8: EXAM FOR PROMOTION/PROMOTION TEST

    - To the tea party? Did you invite her? Lady Kayla?

-You don’t need to ask me three times, Ritaus.

Looking at Estellla's face, Ritaus put his hand to his forehead. Aster smiled broadly, as if something was wrong. Follow the graceful movements of the hands holding the cup.

I even managed to put it on the table. Looking at him, one might think that this is a well-educated noble girl.

    - Estella Eiser? And you followed my mother to the party when I wasn't around?

It probably wouldn't be that much of a hassle if he was attending a party for local aristocrats far from Hwando(?). Estellla entered the party of the central aristocracy, both on the ecliptic and on a large scale. He made his debut under the name Estella Eiser.

    - The Countess readily agreed.

Ritaus was so discouraged that he was speechless. Despite this, Aster eventually made his public debut as a girl.

    - People were very interested in me. Some have asked if I am your sister or cousin.

Aster sighed and walked over to Ritaus, who was sitting on the couch, leaning his head on his shoulder, as if seducing.

    - Some said that I am your new bride.

When Ritaus's brow wrinkled, the amusing low voice chuckled cheerfully.

-But I didn't say anything. May I speak?

Ritaus got up from her seat, avoiding Estellla, who jokingly tried to kiss his hand.

-I can't believe my mother played to your tune.

    - Ah? It was fun.

Ritaus's mother, Countess Eiser, was a playful person. Given his mother's inclination, this was not something he could not understand, but Estellla's position would have been made more difficult when he became known to the Imperial Family.

    - As for the personality of Estella Eiser, everything is in order. You made me pretend to be a different person anyway.

Aster handed Ritaus a wig. It was a beautiful hairstyle with shiny platinum blonde hair. At a glance, it was possible to determine that it was an expensive item.

-This is your temporary status, as far as I can tell. You know this is not something that you can keep using forever. Soon you will have to live like Aster Lysch.

Unlike Ritaus, who was serious, Aster laughed more mischievously. But the violet eyes gradually calmed down.

-I don’t know if I will ever be able to accept that name.

-You are the heir to Duke Lysch. So from now on, you have to be on the lookout. You can't hide like a girl forever.

Aster burst out into a smug laugh at Ritaus's words. Ritaus's heart, when he looked at Aster with such a look, hardened.

The boy, who looked like a girl in front of him, was a son that his father, the Emperor, had not yet learned about. In addition, he is a descendant of the Spirit King, with whom the Imperial family wants nothing to do.

Can they recognize Estellla as a Prince? The Empress thought of Estellla as an eyesore. It will probably be difficult.

    - Kayla Vesta did not answer. I can, after all, regard this answer as positive.

Aster looked in the mirror on the wall and put on a wig. When he skillfully tidied up his blonde hair, the pink hair disappeared.

    - Everything depends on you.

Sighing at the sight of Aster, Ritaus shook her head.

Ritaus considered Aster's current interest in Kayla Vesta temporary. The strange girl who saved him from the attack at Berg Station. Maybe it's just a moment of fun in the daily life of a bored Estellla. He did not take the situation seriously.

    ***

For a while my nerves were focused on the invitation that Aster had sent me. Aster's girlish invitation was so shocking that for a while I forgot about Nicholas's proposal and the problem of voting, which turned me upside down for a while.

Was it because of Estellla that I hid my younger brother Franz and went to Kratie instead? In a way, this could be a more important issue than the current promotion.

    - What the hell are you up to?

The white postcard sent by Aster gave off a subtle scent of lilacs. Here women usually sent letters with perfume or dried flowers, boutonnieres. It was a postcard drawn by a man of delicate taste. I ran my hand over my face.

    - What are you going to talk about when you invite me to tea?

This man may not have a clue, but I already knew he was a man. In addition, he does not speak in front of others due to his metamorphosis. Therefore, this invitation was awkward.

Aster in the original work was very spontaneous and fickle, but at the same time he was meticulous. He was a man who made decisions based on his mood, but predicted what would happen later and did everything for his own benefit.

Of course, this applies to Estellla, who grew up in the original Magic Mirage manhwa. I don't know how it feels for a young Estellla who is not yet fully formed.

    - It's even worse, because it's unpredictable.

Based on the original work, this only happens when Aster's attention is directed to Ritaus. So it was not strange that the target of bullying me, the bride of Ritaus, was me. Maybe that's why I parted with him in a hurry. Then what is the problem?

Ophelia returned to the room when I groaned because I couldn't understand Aster's feelings for me. During several days, when I was distracted by Aster's invitation, Ophelia was often absent from the Dormitory. On top of that, today she was holding a large paper box of unknown origin.

    - Where have you been? At such a late hour. What is this box? When I asked, Ophelia did not dare to look.

    - It? Nothing.

Ophelia hastily slid the box under the bed and quickly changed into her pajamas.

    - Are you going to sleep yet? Not yet 8 o'clock.

-I'm tired, so I can't wait to get some rest.

    - What have you done to make you tired? When I asked, Ophelia just laughed.

    - There were many places where I wandered, here and there. So I want to sleep.

Ophelia, lying in bed and covered with a blanket over her head, seemed very tired and soon fell asleep. I was curious what that big paper box was, but I decided not to ask any more questions because Ophelia didn't want to tell me.

I tucked Aster's invitation deep into the inside pocket of my uniform. This is an invitation from Count Eiser, so if I run into Ritaus, I will return it to him by declining

Ritaus is a local knight and often visits the Kratie Academy during vacations. So I think we will cross again. I decided not to write an answer about the refusal, because I think that it will surely go to Ritaus.

    ***

At the boarding school Kratie did not come immediately after the end of the semester. The academy gave students a grace period of about a week to give them a chance after failing a promotion test. The boarding academy operated until the day before the holidays, as students wishing to graduate during this time will also take a promotion test together.

    - I'll stay in the library. There is nothing to do, because there will be no training for a while. Ophelia changed into a street dress, not a uniform.

    - I would prefer to stay in the library, because now there are no classes. I'll be there today. Plaid coat, hat and gloves. The skirt was not so long that it was easier to work with.

    - Are you busy these days? It's hard to see your face.

Ophelia smiled awkwardly at my question. At the end of the lesson, I didn't have to stay at the Academy, unless I was a student who wanted to take the exam like me.

-Ophelia, are you staying at the Academy because of me?- When asked about Ophelia, she answered with a shy smile.

    - See you later, Kayla. Bon voyage to the library.

Ophelia in civilian clothes hurriedly left the room. I had in my hands a bag of stationery, ink and quills. Where should I go?

I also packed books, notebooks and writing materials to go to the library. I could have given up the promotion and returned home, but I never gave up.

Due to the cold weather, I took out a thick winter cape from the closet.

    - At such moments, a quilted jacket would be just perfect.

The warmer the winter coat was, the thicker and heavier it was. Even holding a regular stack of books in fox fur gloves, it became harder to lug around.

    - Wow, who is this?

On the street in front of the women's dormitory, someone in a fur coat was holding a red rose.

I thought that wearing a fur hat was still too much in this weather. Seeing the face of the owner of the fur coat, I stepped back.

    - Sister! No, Lady Kayla. I've waited so long!

The handsome man with a red rose in full bloom is Nicholas Chiade, Third Class. I thought you took a vacation, when did you come back?

    - Are you sick? You look bad.

I felt like I could see the expression on my face even if I didn't look in the mirror. I tried to stay as far away from Nicholas, whom I treated like a stranger. But then Nicholas began to chase me.

Please stay away. Don't follow me.

-I'm sure you read my letter safely. Have you heard anything from the Marquis? Apparently, I put it well there with my head in a duel.

-To be honest, I've been confused since the duel ended. I couldn't admit it. There must be something wrong with the brain.

    - But after the second fight I had to admit it.

Just don't go on admitting it. This is an illusion caused by a shock to the brain.

I had no choice but to turn my head to avoid Nicholas, who was chasing me. Then Nicholas knelt in front of me.

-I… I am Nicholas Chiade! I love Kayla Vesta!

Nicholas's loud scream seemed to echo off the central flower bed on the way to the library. I quickly looked around to see if anyone was passing by. What a relief. There weren't many people at the Academy because it was the end of the semester.

    - I understand that the response to the proposal was sent by an urgent telegram. Of course, my father. I feel the same as my father. So our relationship ends here!

I answered as quickly as I could without looking Nicholas in the eye. Since this was a family affair, I had no choice but to treat Nicholas as politely as possible.

    - I will not give up!

Nicholas shouted behind me as I hurried towards the library. Is there a specialist in this world who is responsible for brain malfunctions? I have to look for him during the holidays.

Nicholas was a bit of a weird guy in the original. He fought with Franz until he was appointed a knight, and in the end they were both challenged to a duel by order of Ritaus. As a result, Franz won a landslide victory.

Franz was able to defeat Nicholas without Schuette because he was also very talented in swordsmanship.

Franz was intimidated by Nicholas because he deliberately abandoned him. He was guilty of the privilege of being the successor to the Vesta family, so he was punished for bullying him.

However, he could not do this even in a formal duel with the honor of a knight. At this moment, Franz demonstrates his skills for the first time and makes Nicholas fall down.

If this were a regular manhwa, Nicholas would have resigned or become a colleague of Franz. However, unfortunately, The Magic Mirage was a 19+ BL manhwa. There is only one moment left.

Even after the duel, he wandered around Franz. Until he was reunited when Franz escaped after being kidnapped by Estellla. To help Franz asking for help, he demanded Franz's body in return ... I'll skip the rest of the story.

Anyway, Nicholas. Since the original story was BL manhwa, I assumed that this part was inserted by default, but there was also sadism. It’s too tiring - I’m tired of taking care of Estellla alone. I hurried to the library.

Maybe because it was the end of the semester, the library seemed empty. However, it would be sad if there were no librarian in the quiet library.

I opened every exam book for promotion. I even made a note summarizing only the main content, but before I had no motivation. I was very confident in myself, but I feel that I am losing my will. It was when I sighed, bowing my head with complex thoughts.

    - Oh God, what brings Kayla Vesta to this library?

Smiling peridot eyes that I don't want to date. A girl with shiny blond hair came up to me. I thought she wouldn’t be at the Academy because it’s high season.

    - Leodora Schreman.

Unlike usual, there were no groups of followers around her who followed Leodora like carps. It seemed to me that I was left alone at the Academy.

    - Foreign language in the fourth mathematical class. All textbooks are for the 4th grade. Oh god, this is fifth grade.

Leodora looked at the cover of the textbook I was looking at with my eyes and looked at me. The smile seemed to be laughing.

    - Are you still not giving up, or are you an exemplary student preparing to study?

I stared at the textbook without answering. It was unpleasant to deal with her. I needed both endurance and motivation in the fight, but I was not motivated. Then Leodora cautiously approached me from behind and pressed herself to my shoulder. She squeezed him so hard that I got goosebumps from the place where she grabbed me with her hands.

    - I will no longer take the promotion test next year or a year after that.

There was a loud voice in my ear, as if a little bird was singing. Compared to her sweet voice, the content of her words was frighteningly vicious. Like a demon in an angel mask.

-But I'll let you graduate from school. I'm not going to be on top.

Oh my goodness! Finally, I felt Leodora's nails dig into my shoulder. I turned my head in surprise and looked at her. Leodora smiled triumphantly. What kind of family education do you need to grow up like this?

    - Good luck then. I have the book I was looking for ...

Leodora smiled, holding the thick reference book in her hand. It was a guide to the main family genealogies of the Elbach Empire and neighboring countries.

Right. This is what the original story said. It was only when I saw the insignia of each country on the cover of the genealogical dictionary that I remembered another memory.

By then, Estellla had seized the palace and was crowned Crown Prince. It is said that the only daughter of the Archduke, Shreman, will marry the next king of the neighboring country. She was the only daughter, so there would be no others but Leodora.

I clearly remembered, although this was not shown in the mankhi itself, but only expressed in the author's description. This is because the Shreman family, the Imperial Family, was overwhelmed by Imperial succession and collapsed. If we follow the original plot again this time, Leodora will probably ...

    - If you want to become the Queen of a neighboring country, you better get rid of this character.

In the end, I couldn't help my itchy mouth and said that. Leodora, who had stopped, turned slowly and stared at me.

    - What does it mean?

Leodora came up to me again. I wanted to say. If you remain in this state, you will not be able to marry a member of the royal family in a neighboring country.

    - You ask me what I just said, what I mean? Leodora's low voice rang out in the empty library.

-You know that ordinary people's suffrage is growing, right?

And again Leodora, who was standing opposite the table at which I was sitting, looked down at me.

    - The world will change.

In the original work, when Estellla took over the palace, our family was not the only one to die first.

Bloody winds blew as imperialists like Grand Duke Shreman rebelled against Estellla's rise. And the opposition was the council of commoners. Parliament was unhappy with the discrimination and harsh practices that revolved around the aristocracy.

With the appearance of Estellla, they joined forces and entered the sphere of influence of Estellla. Thus, the first target of the Commonwealth Council was Shreman.

    It sounded very disrespectful.

For a moment, I felt a tremor in Leodora's eyes as she looked down at me.

-I don’t know how the world will change, so I tell you not to turn low-class people into enemies.

I turned my gaze back to the textbook on the table. I have to stop here. I have to take care of the comfort of my family.

    - Is it because the Vesta family is an abandoned family? Now I see you neglect the liberal arts and manners.

Leodora showed her displeasure, turned and left the library. As I watched the thin back disappear into the distance, I remembered the original again.

What happened to the royal family, Leodora, did not come out of the original book. It has just been mentioned that many imperial families, including Shreman, have been stripped of all their power and purged.

Leodora might have survived this mess, but life would not have been so easy. Thus, the original Magic

Mirage ended with Aster, who became the Crown Prince who held power and threw the Empire into chaos.

The history of the future is unknown. The Magic Mirage became more and more popular for its beautiful and colorful illustrations and was eventually completed early. Of course, the early completion was just a rumor. However, it was true that he suddenly came to a strange ending.

It's been five hours since I was mindlessly spending my time without study, and I left the library because I couldn't bring myself to study.

When I left the library again with a few heavy books, I saw Ophelia and Iris running busily. Ophelia had a box in her hands that I had seen before, and inside it was full of envelopes. Iris had a leather file folder, similar to a

lawsuit, in her hands, and they were dressed in civilian clothes.

    - Where are you going?

Despite the fact that I was full of heavy luggage, I happily ran to my friends, but Ophelia and Iris stopped when they saw me.

    - Y-are you out yet?

    -I couldn't concentrate, so I just left.

Ophelia smiled awkwardly, hiding the box behind her back. Iris also looked the other way.

    - Have you already had dinner? If you haven't eaten yet, let's eat together. Hearing my suggestion, Ophelia smiled and shook her head.

    - Sorry, we already ate outside.

The smiling face looked nervous. Neither Ophelia nor Iris seemed very happy to meet me.

    - Where are you going now? What is it?

When I pointed to the box and leather folder Iris was holding, they shook their heads.

    - Nothing important. Kayla just focus on studying, so see you later!

It was so urgent that Ophelia and Iris ran away. As if they were running away from me. At the end of the semester, the students had nothing to do. Therefore, most students go home early.

    - You can talk to me.

I was shaking little by little. There are only a few days left before the vacation. If I don’t find another way home, I’ll end the semester like this. What I wanted to do was simply my greed, which ran counter to the safety of my family and myself.

I needed to check this part again.

Unable to skip lunch, I left the stack of books in the common room and headed to the restaurant.

There were not many people, because dinner time had already passed. Many students left the dorm because the classes were over. Maybe that's why there was only one chef or employee in the restaurant.

When I tried to sit down at a nearby table with bread and soup on a tray, I saw Marianne eating alone nearby. Marianne will not return to her house until my account issues are resolved.

I thought Marianne would listen to my concerns. She is a reasonable person. I sat down opposite Marianne with a tray.

    - Are you eating alone?

Marianne, hurrying to eat the soup, saw me and coughed as if she heard something.

    - Are you all right?

I slowly patted Marianne on the back and looked into her face. Poor Marianne's face turned red.

    - It's okay, it's okay. I need to catch the train.

Marianne wiped her mouth and began cleaning up the soup and bread that she could not finish.

    - Are you going to leave? Train?

I looked at Marianne, who stood up and said:

-I'm sorry I can't stay with you until the end, Kayla. I have to go first because I have a family trip.

Marianne bowed slightly and hurriedly left the restaurant, returning the tray.

It's okay if it's a family trip. She said she would stay with me until my problem was solved, but Marianne did not have to.

    - Still…

Marianne even said she would talk about it with her father, the Minister of Administration. Will it work? I didn't expect much. Will Duke Dmirov be able to move in with his daughter's girlfriend? I don't think this is just a

    little girl's fight.

    But…

    - I wanted to talk to you.

It would be wise to wait until vacation. And maybe in vain. No, I don't know if it's worth trying. If I was in my past life, I would have given up on this question earlier. I felt my mind was getting weaker.

Maybe my role ended with the assignment of Franz Shitsuro? Perhaps I could pass Schuette to my relatives and inherit my father's title.

Until I send Franz to a quiet place in the countryside to help Franz become Master Shitsuro, I don't think I should go to Kratie and suffer ...

In the end, the decision was made to resign. I was even more resourceful when I decided to give out Schuette and the title to my cousins.

Will Uncle Norrix, alienated as the enemy, kick our family out of Vesta Territories? My family will follow Franz, who loves wild birds, and will be tormented by mountains, fields and sea, and will settle somewhere exhausted. They will become tenant farmers, borrowing land from poor landowners to farm in a way they have never done before. And this year, agriculture will again be crowded out due to poor harVestas and

    inability to pay taxes.

And then one of the parents got sick, and Franz went to beg on the street to get medicine. And at the same time, he met with Aster ...

    Clap!

    Be realistic.

I slapped myself on the cheek. My subconscious was already half filled with negative thoughts.

    - Let's cool our head.

Leaving the restaurant, I stood in front of my dorm room. A letter was waiting for me at the door. If Ophelia were here, she would put the mail on the table. She probably hasn't come yet.

Gently entering the room after the letter fell into my hands, I felt energy. Sitting at my desk, I opened the

letter, not even knowing who the sender was. It was a letter from the Oculus Girls' School. This was the last of three outlying girls' schools that I tried to locate Franz in.

    - …Oh my God!

I almost screamed. I accepted the offer at the Oculus Girls boarding school. They agreed. They are said to have been looking for a sponsor due to the small number of students and financial difficulties. It was written that if I made the promised donation, they would not accept other male students until Franz graduated from high school.

It was nice. The Oculus Boarding School was surrounded by rivers, swamps and fields. Logically, there will be many plants, insects and migratory birds that only grow in this area.

I hastened to write a reply to tthe Oculus Girls boarding school. It happened at the same moment. I turned my head because I heard a knock on the window pane. A messenger stood outside the window. The seal of the Vesta family was visible in the eyes of the messenger bird. My father called me. The bird's beak opened when I tapped her on the head.

    - You said you had no classes. Where did you go?-

Soon after, I heard my father's voice, which sounded faint.

    - I was in the library.

Is it instead of a sigh or an answer?

    -...-

    - ...

    -... Kayla.

    - Yes, continue.

    - Why don't you come home now?-

I knew it. But nothing came of it. To some extent, I expected this, so I did not experience much disappointment. And yet it's not that I don't have mixed feelings.

    - Is there really no solution?

I heard my father sigh again. My father reportedly complained directly to the administrator of the Ministry of Education, which is in charge of the Kratie Boarding Academy. He raised the question of the existence of behavioral voting, as well as friendship and collusion between aristocrats, but it was not accepted.

    - They said that parents shouldn't interfere with what happens among the students. It's not funny. We can't even punish those guys who made Franz this way.

Most of the important positions in the Imperial Palace and the central government were held by immigrants from the Kratie Boarding Academy and aristocrats. Therefore, he did not appreciate the situation in which he opposed Kratie's policy. Kratie's diploma was a necessary course for succession.

    - Don't get hung up on early graduation. All that is required of you is to successfully graduate from the Academy and inherit the family title.

I felt a little guilty about what my father said. I even thought about quitting the Academy and giving up the title. The Marquis of Vesta must have thought a lot about changing his successor.

    - You should try to get along with the Duchess of Schreman. It's social life. Whether you're a knight in our family or married, it's imperative.

    - Yes, father. I will think about it.

When my head went cold, I thought about it for the first time. Compared to the safety of my family, it is a great pride to think about coming and bowing to Leodora.

    -See you at home.

When I, having finished the conversation with my father, was about to send a messenger out the window, Ophelia stood behind me.

    -You're late, Ophelia.

For some reason, Ophelia looked at me in surprise. Did she hear my conversation with my father?

    - Kayla, are you going home?

Ophelia, who came closer, squeezed my hand.

    - Never give up, Kayla. Don't bow to Leodora!

Ophelia's hands were shaking. Her eyes were serious.

-But Ophelia. My father says this is impossible. As you know, our family is a knightly family, so we cannot use our power in society.

I tried to explain it as simply as possible so that Ophelia would understand. But Ophelia shook her head.

    - I understand, Kayla. And Kayla's position in the aristocracy. But don't give up. It's not just Kayla's problem. We have been waiting for this moment.

    - Ophelia.

We have been waiting for this moment. What does it mean? I didn't understand what Ophelia wanted to say. I wonder what Ophelia, a commoner, can do that even my father couldn't solve?

But I knew that Ophelia and Iris were doing something for me. I do not know what is this.

In the end, I didn't go home as Ophelia wanted and stayed in the dorm until the end to prepare for the promotion test.

    ***

    - I will write you. Do not Cry. I'm fine.

    - Forgive me, Kayla. I insisted, so I stayed until today. I guess I was just taking my time.

The last day of the semester, the day before the holidays. Ophelia, who stayed with me in the bedroom until the very end, sobbed.

    - It's all right, don't feel guilty for anything. Ophelia.

    - I was so naive, ha! The reality was so harsh.

    Tudun-tudun.

I patted Ophelia on the back and looked at her unpacked luggage. Ophelia must have been heartbroken, but she couldn't even unpack her things properly. Tears dripping from Ophelia's eyes soaked the carpet on the floor.

    - I tried so hard, worked very hard. Peace is not limited to sincerity.

-Of course, I thought to myself, and I hugged Ophelia warmly.

    - But what did you do without my knowledge? Can't you tell me now? When I asked, Ophelia slowly raised her head and smiled.

-I sent the petition with Iris.

    - What request? Where to?

    - I sent him to the Administration. Because the Ministry of Education is under the direct jurisdiction of the administration.

In the Administration was Duke Dmiroff, Marianne's father.

    - Marianne said that she will talk to Duke Dmirov as a Sami. That's why she went on a family trip she hadn't planned.

I remembered the last time I saw Marianne. How she ran away in a hurry, without finishing.

    - And I sent a letter to the director's house.

Director - Graf Rubez Carlsen, General Director of the Kratie Academy. Usually he could be seen very rarely, because the work was completely delegated to the directors of each Dormitory. He was in an honorary position, but he was a man who had no real power.

    - I wanted to personally meet with the director, but I can only make appointments through him. The same goes for letters. You will have to go through the hand of the leaders from time to time. So I sent a letter straight home.

If it is not an expensive express telegram, it will take more than 15 days for the letter to arrive in a remote area.

    - But, in the end, nobody answered me. As you might expect, no one cares about the petitions sent by young commoners. This is so unfair. It was very difficult for us to get the signature of the graduates.

Ophelia and Iris did a great job while I waited to be contacted from the office. Ophelia and Iris wrote letters to commoner graduates. Among them, they turned to people who were harmed as a result of voting for behavior for help. Among the aristocrats, Iris sent letters to fallen aristocrats to convince them. How long should we stay like this? This does not end with just graduating from private academies.

The number of signatures obtained in this way is about 2000. The total number of students attending Kratie was less than 700. However, it was phenomenal that only alumni who opposed the behavior voting system filled this number.

This is why they often left. While I was studying in the library, I remembered Ophelia and Iris, who often went out.

    - Why are you doing this for me?

I was really innocently curious. We have known each other for six months at best. Why did these people try so hard for me? But an unexpected answer escaped from Ophelia's lips.

-I'm sorry for Kayla, but I thought this was her chance. Because Kayla is a noblewoman.

The Salon of tyranny was realized not only by one person, Leodora. The history of the Salon was not short.

    - Because such a noble man from the Vesta family suffered. I thought that if Kayla became a victim, the aristocracy would pay attention to it.

This is what many commoner students have experienced. Powerless aristocrats like Iris couldn't even talk to them. So if the target was me, if it was Kayla Vesta, she thought that maybe she could change reality now.

Ophelia observed a lot of unreasonable things while staying close to Iris. So this time, if a high aristocrat suffered injustice, wouldn't they listen to our voices? I felt a little sorry for Ophelia and Iris.

    - I'm sorry that I have no strength. Ophelia shook her head quickly.

    - No no no. Kayla tried her best. Rather, I am sorry that we have placed a heavy burden on Kayla. Ophelia continued to speak shyly.

    - I'm ashamed, but at first I expected Marianne to play this role. Because she is a high-ranking aristocrat with a high status, and Duke Dmirov is an administrative minister.

Marianne, unlike me, hated trouble. So she joined the Salon. Although he did not actively participate in the meeting, she did not insult Leodora as openly as I did.

Of course, there may be a reason why Duke Dmirov, the Administrative Minister in society, was more powerful than my father, the Marquis of Vesta. Due to her strength in the social world, Leodora could not do this.

    - Thank you for trying so hard for me. I know you're upset, but let's forget about it.

    - Kayla.

I consoled Ophelia and wondered what to do. There was a lot to do to get home. I needed to send a special express telegram, and I had to fill the suitcases open on the floor.

Instead of Ophelia, whose eyes were red and swollen, I decided to buy tickets from the train station to her house.

    - I would like to buy a ticket to Berg station and Sandalperk station for tomorrow at 10 am.

    - Train to Berg station only at 10:40 am.

    - Everything is fine.

Having bought the tickets, I looked around the entire Academy on the way back to the Dormitory. Time is the time when I lived at the Boarding Academy in Kratie. It wasn't that long, but it seemed very old.

I was going to graduate early on the basis of passing the exam, but I think I will have to leave in four years. My family lives in peace now and isn't it better than an early release? Starting next semester, let's live our academic life calmly and without scandals, even if I bow to Leodora.

At that moment, someone called out to me from behind.

    - Student of Kayla Vesta!

I could see the woman's breath catching, as if she had been singing for a long time. The woman, who looked in her early 40s, was not a teacher, but her face was familiar.

    - It's good that you haven't left yet.

Dovella Lisman, Academic Office Employee. At the beginning of the semester, I went into and out of the office several times, so now I remembered the faces of all the employees.

    - The director is looking for Kayla. Come on, go.

What's happening? Just in case, I ran to the library building with the director's office. As I ran as hard as I could, I had a fever and my winter coat was burning.

As soon as I approached the door of the director's office, I knocked gently, catching my breath.

    - Who are you?

I cleared my throat and calmly opened my mouth.

    - Kayla Vesta.

    - Come on in.

I heard a rather calm and caring voice. When I opened the door, an old man who would have been well over 70 was waiting for me with a smile.

This is Count Rubets Carlsen. He is the head of the Kratie Boarding Academy. -You've been waiting to see if you can pass the promotion test, right?

The headmaster's smiling eyes looked so generous that I nodded honestly.

    - Tomorrow I will talk to the teachers and ask them to prepare for Kayla Vesta's test. I do not believe. Are you really letting me do this?

I cover my mouth with both hands, lower and squeeze them. I couldn't control my hands with excitement.

    - Really? Can I take a promotion test?

I asked the director again. The director nodded with a smile.

You did it. Ophelia, Iris! First of all, I thought about the faces of my friends.

    - Thank you, sir!

I felt so good. I could not control my fluttering heart.

    - Don't you want to know? What's happened.

My father's complaint to the Ministry of Education did not work. Is this all Duke Dmirov?

-Duke Dmirov sent a messenger bird to me a few days ago.

The director's gaze touched the letter, which he put aside. There was a parcel under the letter, wrapped in tissue paper, but it was impossible to say what exactly. Is it from Duke Dmirov? I could not draw any conclusions because I did not see the content, but thanks to this letter I thought I was here.

-He asked me to take care of Kayla Vesta, a student at this Academy, because she is a relative of his. He asked us to remove the lowered behavioral voting scores by using director powers.

That's the whole point. Looks like Marianne managed to convince her father.

    - The position of director is honorable here, but has almost no power. There is something that I can only do once a semester, but I cannot use this opportunity for the sake of trifles. This is against justice.

My heart sank at these words of demand and justice. If I had the power, I would use all of it. The inside of his neck stabbed like there was sand in it.

    - No matter how many times you asked me about it, you could not. I had to use this power at the most important moment. But…

The director handed me a letter and a roll of parchment paper that were on the table.

    - You have good friends, Kayla Vesta.

Seeing the contents, I almost cried. The director did not help because of Minister Dmirov. Inside the parchment bag was a thick bundle of bound paper. Densely written signatures and someone's letters were grouped together.

    - I decided to eliminate the behavior voting system with the right to use it only once during my term. The director rose from his seat and held out his hand to me.

-You haven't passed the test yet, but the results are clear. Congratulations on your promotion, Kayla Vesta.

I left the director's office and wandered into the Dormitory. Oddly enough, it was not cold at all, although a sharp wind was blowing. My heart was still burning. It seemed to me that I heard the voice of Ophelia, who desperately told me not to give up.

    - It's not just Kayla's problem. We have been waiting for this moment.

I lived for my purpose, only for my safety. So I would stop thinking about bowing to Leodora if I gave up. For some reason, tears seemed to flow.

    - Kayla, what happened when you went to buy tickets? Ophelia asked when she saw my eyes turn red.

    -… Ophelia.

I hugged Ophelia with tears that I tried to brush away.

    - What's happening? Is there something bad going on at home? Ophelia patted me on the back as if worried.

    - That's not the point ...

I told Ophelia about what happened in the director's office. Then Ophelia's eyes, which had barely bounced back, turned red again.

    - This is good, this is really good, ooh

Ophelia cried harder than me. The inside of the room became a mess as I searched for letter paper, saying that I needed to send a letter to Iris, who was the first to go home.

The next day, I was able to successfully pass the promotion test. Starting next semester, I'll be in fifth grade, one grade higher than Ophelia, Iris and Marianne.

But the joy of six months of success made me forget about the invitation, which I put in the pocket of the form. On the first day of vacation, Aster invited me to tea.

So yeah, looks like the blonde girl in manhwa is Aster in a wig. In novel he even debuted as a girl with name Estella Eiser (with Eiser family name). And with this disguise he didn't talk but write it on notes if needed. Only Eiser fam know.

And yeah, that's the end of Book 1.
Should i continue? (I have a job so i'll only post if i have time). If there is not many who interested in the MTL i'll stop it. I mean it's kinda unreadable, but i tried to edit it as much as possible :blobjoy:. And it's kinda took a long time to finish hehe, so press like to appreciate and i know how many who interested :blobokhand:

Thank you for the spoilers!!! We really appreciate your effort in translating so we hope we get more in the future. Your tls were superb btw!

I'm really curious how and when Kayla figured out that Aster really likes her. Also, when and how Aster finally realized he loves Kayla, like he has thought or put the right words for what he thought was fanaticism.

Kayla had begun to guess even when he kidnapped her that Aster had feelings for her. Because the relationship is completely different than with Franz in the original. It is not particularly specified how Aster understood, but his feelings began to grow stronger, from the moment Aster realized that he did not want to let Kayla go. He didn't care that his body wasn't growing. Aster says that as long as Kayla stays around, he doesn't care what he looks like. He is ready to live his life as a woman. The main thing is that Kayla is there. When he returns, Aster is already openly telling her about his feelings. He is more open in this regard than Kayla. She is quite shy and as soon as he starts flirting, she immediately beats Astaire. Aster loves to touch her and make fun of her. She often takes it at face value. If you take the emotional and spiritual plan of Kayla is older than he is. But in a relationship, Aster is more intelligent than Kayla.

At the expense of Marian and Franz, I threw off a small spoiler at the top, not much is told about their relationship in the main story. More will be told in the side chapters, as soon as the translation is ready, I will throw off more spoilers.

Not for anything, I myself very often use this forum and often read spoilers, I wanted to help, because I am grateful to the people who write them. The translation of short stories takes a very long time to come out in my language, so I have to read spoilers. Our translator also said that this story is absolutely unique.
Their relationship is really very interesting. Kayla loves Astaire, but constantly rejects him because she wants to protect her family. Aster loves Kayla, but at the same time wants to destroy the empire of Elbach.
