I honestly hope we get a different ml instead of the duke. The dude literally help the sister when the mc was about to talk to him. And now he says "if I cared about ur sister, I wouldn't have help u from getting dirtied." HUH- dude u literally ignored her and went to hat pitiful bitch. Man, it's clear he cares so much about the bitch. And when the mc said "and never pity her" he said "I'll think about that more" HUHH..... This dude already likes the sister. I'm sorry to disappoint you, but he's the ML Perhaps it's better to wait and see how the story continues, instead of judging a character negatively and deciding to hate him after only a few chapters
Are you referring to the start? Cus I also remember that she tokk her revenge and dumped the guy in the first chapter as a ending. And the rest after is building up to the climax from chapter 1. The next 5 chapters or so she have to convince the guy to married her to get out front the house and he didn't want to cus he was wary of the rumors of her and the sister. When he realized the truth between the sisters he agreed to the fake marriage and at chapter 40 he's really in love with her and couldn't care less for the sister
Now I gotta edit my own... Anyway at chapter 43 the Male Lead is still really in love in our Villainess and he realized some of the anger and her desire to get rid of the sis MC, he did also reflect on his past actions at helping the sister out and is scared that may have given the villainess the wrong impression of him. So he will give her a clear answer and explain why he gave the sister his hand that one time around chapter 14 or so. So inconclusion he's to scared to even think about helping the sis out even if it looks like the villainess want to be unnecessary cruel to her considering he doesn't know why the sisters hate each other and MC is kinda blind and that gives sympathy points. He's to scared to lose affection of the villainess that it may look like he's villig to turn a blind eye to whatever she does, it may also seam like its shadowing to the beginning when he's begge the villainess to stay and be married and she still leaves. She is at chapter 43 still to full of hatred for the sis to acknowledge that she may be falling for the Male Lead and when she does fall for him completely it still seems she's leaving showed at the first chapter. But then again the author probably make the last 5 chapter or so to make them get married again or somehow make up. Or make another contract that is based on love or something
