Notable examples are: 1) Mo Ran (did you really think I wouldn’t include him. His tears for his shizun amounts to more than the fluids of 100 iceberg gongs put together, your angsty tears are delicious) 2) LWJ (I know, wtf am I on about, but he has character development, he doesn’t swoop in and save WWX’s ass, he is his EQUAL, and that’s the most important thing. 3) Luo Bing He (well, he’s called Bingmei for a reason) 4) Wen Yang (points for being cheerful, friendly, and can hold his character on his own without being Deux Ex Machina) who are your favorite gongs?
I really enjoyed the gong from Your Distance. To me he's the best ML ever. Liked the one from Tyrant Pampering Wife Diary too. Oh, and the main cp from 2013 is such a power couple, an absolute must-read. Also, The Wife Is First is from the gong's perspective, fixing his mistakes from past life, kinda like a non-deranged Mo Ran.

The ML (gong) and MC (shou) from Don’t Pick Up Boyfriends From the Trash Bin are both great imo. The MC is very capable and smart and so is the ML, so they work together as an equal team. From what I've seen so far (it's not fully translated yet) the both of them have character development because Spoiler: spoiler the ML and MC once were close childhood friends, but the ML died early, forever leaving the shou emotionally changed. However the ML was reborn as a system, and he slowly has to regain his memories and break free of the main system's control so that he can be with the shou. Meanwhile, the MC has to deal with his QT tasks while feeling conflicted that his system reminds him so much of his childhood friend and first love.
