so far I haven't reached the sister ending yet, but as for MC and ML's relationship, at first MC (based on the MTL) thinks ml is homosexual lol and she kinda distanced herself because she is aware that she is falling to him I guess. and MC also tells ML that they cant marry yet because she will be forced to join ML family (archduke) and will make a younger twin sister to inherit MC's family which she obviously doesn't want to happen. ALSO there will be another MC rival (I think her name is Nerdika who is dukes daughter) she likes ML she's fucking delusional because she told MC when they were children she got drowned (I guess) and ML gave him artificial respiration and this stupid mistakes it for first kiss lol

SO IT turns out that the reason why ML has lot of debt is that she broke her engagement or refuse engagement of the imperial princess thats why they deliberately put pressure on him and purposely not giving ML budget and food supplies for his soldiers and this motherfucker imperial even attempt to put tax evasion on MC family (which is not true obviously
