I try reading novels but it never helps. because my attention keep going towards the source of my anxiety.

What about the negative thoughts? Doesn't silence make it impossible to ignore them?

I completely ignore the thing that's making me nervous for some time. Has high chances of backfiring if the 'thing' in question has a deadline.

I try doing some deep breathing or workout. Even if I'm still anxious after, breathing helps calm me down and focus on whatever tiny task I have to do next and workout out gets rid of some stress and sad feelings. Crying helps too

When I'm anxious I can't hold still, and my worst problem is my leg bouncing and chewing on my tongue.
So I just go for a jog if I can.

If not, I'll listen to music, doodle, read/write, or simply try thinking of something else if I can't do any of those things. Going outside and jogging down the streets helps the best though, not a lot gets my anxiety down. Not sure what else to do.

By doing the things that distracts me like drawing for how many hours while listening music, reading novels and other hobbies and most importantly...
crying my heart out (it does help) making myself tired being anxious and depressed and thinking to myself fuck it now i'm done crying ,time to do what i have to do (solve the thing that's making me anxious)
because trust me it doesn't help convincing yourself that it's ok (maybe short-term)
One of things that i've learned is don't take life less or too serious:)(y)

I've found that exercise can help reduce anxiety. Sometimes I've had some success with visualization techniques like imagining putting all the things I don't want to be anxious about into a box, and then chaining it up. Also, trying to put things into perspective has helped before. Their are also psychiatric drugs. Most of the one's I tried never worked for me, but eventually I found one that helped.

Start browsing the net, 9gag, youtube, anything mindless that can distract me from my thoughts. When I've calmed down a little, find some webtoon to read, and eventually, go for a novel, then back to youtube. The point is to numb the brain from any activity.
