Indeed. *Nod nod* Not like I would desire such a thing. I'd rather have a cat resting on mine not a person's head.
Before I start of I should tell you one thing.. Everything that we know of the distant galaxies or the observable universe is from the past..the further away the further back in time ... And the universe is accelerating outwards. By the time we are capable of intergalactic travel we would have lost access to many galaxy groups forever... So there's a chance that we might never ever find out if we were/are alone. Back to the question, I'm 100% into having other life forms out there...or not I'd be embarrassed to see humanity becoming an ancestor to several galactic variants of itself... Can you imagine all the tropes of fiction actually becoming true?! That's the worst thing ever.
No need to worry, for aliens do not exist, and are definitely not observing humans from a hidden satellite.
Are there other life forms out there? the answer is yes definitely, the argument that there is only life forms on earth can simply be answered by the "The Frog in the Well" idiom XD Our views to life do affect us but got nothing to do with the aliens, like what if they don't care about lifeforms on other planets like us? what if they don't want to be found out? what if they simply don't see us as a threat? what if there is some law that protects us from alien invasion but we are not aware of? and the questions are many. And if you ask me, we should worry about the 99.999% of the undiscovered species on earth before worrying about other planets XD
