For me It's the auction house arc. Its like the training arc but more thrill. They're literally the breather arcs. Reading nothing but fighting is one of the reasons I stopped reading a lot of novels.
I guess that part where they explore small realms and stuff. It can be a nice action/world-building ratio The times where they level up and beat up newbs is fun too. Other parts... Generally I always look at them as filler
My favourite is when the MC just practice by himself in seclusion, getting some inspiration and creating his own technique or skill. And then become OP af without anyone knowing. Another arc is when MC change his identity and shocked the world using his fake identity.. What I hate the most is when MC just move around without stopping to fight for items.
I mainly like reading about how the MC and other characters get stronger, so training, auction house/finding cool stuff, and alternate realm where they find even more cool stuff.
Yeah, but it is almost always associated with dumb young masters which I extremely dislike so I didn't add it. YY?
It's hard for me to separate because I like the beginning of the story where the MC joins the sect and starts training, and then has his first tournament and his first going into a secret realm, which is supposed to be a low level realm but always ends up being really dangerous >:3 I sort of feel like this is the "beginning" arc?
yeah, but if you like any one of those arc you posted, there is a 90% chance that is also a face slapping arc....
Ho ho, how can I forget this very important trope/arc... we can separate it into "oh my god I transmigrated/reborn into the scum canon fodder??" arc, the "trying to brush the protagonist's feelings" arc and the "..... how did the protagonist end up bent??" arc. Sometimes there is the "running away to protect my life" arc, and then the "why did running away fail????" arc I would say my favorite of these is still the beginning arc of "oh my god I'm the canon fodder, how do I save my life???" Stallion protagonist novel! Doesn't basically every arc include face slapping?
