It turns out that the original girl had just killed herself because her fiancé ended their betrothal. The original was weak and timid; people bullied her and made her life miserable. The FL is strong, intelligent, and witty. Unlike some of the cheap and half-assed stories similar to this, the FL is actually smart and it's not just that everyone else around her is stupid. Because this is her new life now, she decides that she won't let those people bully her anymore. If you're looking for scheming, evil stepmothers and bitchy stepsisters, you're spot on. And also expect some good-looking guys while you're at it. The romance will be a little slow though because of all the scheming and plot that goes on in the chapters. I know some people don't like it because the ML becomes incredibly clingy and obsessed with the FL after they get married. I actually really love that about this story. I'm kind of fed up with asshole ML's who treat the FL horribly, speak horribly, have harems, cheat, abuse them, misunderstand them, and then call it love. I want to read about a ML who's crazy obsessed and in love with his wife and treats her well. Thanks for picking this up <3
