Nah, they were able to control the formation. That means that they could leave whenever they wanted to. There simply wasn't a reason to as the outside had nothing to offer them.

The weaklings are sealed. The strong could break that seal and leave anytime they wanted. They simply have no desire to.

They probably lost interest in it then. Its pretty repetitive after all, and audiences aren't the only ones that get bored by that. I'm just hoping it didn't get dropped on a cliffhanger or something.

That aside, I fully expect the mansion to be loaded down with fire attributed treasures, and/or have sign-ins that mostly revolve around fire attributed treasures. Can't have the MC not being able to play with his new toy after all.
