You know the pancakes for moo shu at Chinese restaurants? As a kid, I’d love having plain pancakes with white rice. Honestly, if I felt I could get away with it, I’d still order that. I just don’t want the weird looks and disbelief from the wait staff. (My mom was braver than me, having to explain, yes, she meant the moo shu pancakes, yes, she meant them plain, multiple times every single time.)
my family thinks i'm weird when i eat that, i'm glad to know that someone else likes bread with hummus!
In my family, we always eat it with tortilla, sometimes pita bread. I picked it from my ex step mom. I had no idea that was considered weird until right this second.
that is weird combination the reason ppl think it is not is because they are American most countries that actually have cuisine don't put ketchup on eggs or on white rice which I have seen some ppl do. If you want a bilogical hazard that makes your friends run out of the room eat grapes ham and chocolate not together just within a few minutes of each other. I accidently ate these thing and my friends could swear I had stuck them in a gas chamber called bed room while slowly killing them with farts and video games.
Also, when I worked for a Mediterranean cafe for a year, the hummus (in pita bread) sandwich was one of our most popular items! o(^▽^)o …I kinda repressed my memories of the place, which is why I didn’t bring it up earlier…
I mean Japanese people have omurice which basically has ketchup on eggs and rice haha IMO ketchup on eggs is ok, I feel like it is similar to tomato and eggs. But ketchup on white rice??? Sounds so disgusting, the rice will get cold and the texture will be weird...
That's exactly how a friend introduced me to crepes. It's usually flat bread that I see. A college friend introduced me to eating a chicken pita wrap with tzatziki and honey mustard sauce. I used to have that for dinner and wash it down with strawberry soda.
A college friend introduced me to eating a chicken pita wrap with tzatziki and honey mustard sauce. I used to have that for dinner and wash it down with stra I knew a.girl in college who would put white rice in spring roll wrappers. that's not too far off from wine with grapes minus the funny alcohol taste.
Noodles and rice. Like any noodle dish and rice. Only found out it was weird when people looked at me funny eating pad thai with rice. From my friend peanut butter tuna sandwich.
Making a salad out of random salty junkfoods, jell-o, fruity/jelly ice pop, barnuts, polvoron, and Chubby (a local brand of chewy candy)
I know it doesn't look good either. I saw a friend of mine do it while I was in new york. at least in miami I never seen such blasphemy. Down here we have a ton of family from Cuba who cook you will always see a cuban grandma cooking for the entire family.
I found that too much gravy ruins the taste and feel of it. I like just enough gravy to make the fried rice a little smoother and moist without ending up with fried rice gravy soup.
