Location Restrictions: Location must be indicated in bold text at the start of the post to prevent confusion.
Timeline restrictions: All RP happens within the same day, until that day is reset. Free Interactions always happen before submitting a report at the Daily Report Desk, followed by interactions in the Guild Tavern.
Growth points, and Fitness: Growth Points are required to purchase rank ups, once those are made available by an arriving examiner of higher rank. Fitness is a state awarded to those who complete the maximum of Growth Points they are allowed to accumulate during the previous day. Characters considered Fit can take on stronger challenges, due to trust from the Adventurer's Guild.

Power rankings: E rank characters are normal people with a specialized (possibly fantastical) skill that has the power to either A) Kill a single person of the same rank within a minute, B) Create a single tool or device within 4-12 hours, restricted to the same power as the character's power rank, or C) Fully heal, empower or weaken to a feeble state a person/creature up to one rank higher for a minute. Powers under type C) must have either a daily limit, or a cooldown time of one minute minimum. Type C) Benefits and enfeeblements can be rationed based on ranking to happen more often. Characters' NPC companions cannot be used for combat purposes until D rank, and the NPCs will always exhibit power of the same rank as the player character (with or without a reason given). Each subsequent rank starting D rank equates to a power equivalent to 5 times that of the previous lower rank in both potency and scale.

- You cannot control or describe the effects of actions on the characters controlled by staff or another player.
- The roleplaying format requires you to write out any actions and dialogue inside the game as literary text. Any action or lines by a character you control, or descriptions of ingame items and the environment are considered In Character (IC) and follow this rule.
- Any text inside a post not following the above rule are considered Out Of Character (OOC), and must either be marked as separate from the main body of text, or just kept outside of posts. An exception to this rule is posts within the OOC thread, which allows free discussion.
- Each thread has its own separate rules which are valid in all other threads, and specified within each thread.
- Present IC events are always concurrent to the day the game takes place OOC.

You can also use this thread for all Out Of Character discussion. Try to keep it related to the RP.

Btw, Do we have to announce the task we want to take or just create a thread and start? Also, is there a limit to the number of same tasks we can do in a cycle?

 

Check out Task Board thread rules for answers to this question. Basically all tasks have a point reward, and you can only take as many as your maximum points allow (as indicated in the thread). This means you can repeat the same task, if it allows you to points-wise. Specific tasks have additional restrictions or benefits related to this.

You don't create a thread. You post a report in the Task thread, and can write it out draft-like as roleplay in the freeform thread, if you don't want to do other roleplay there.

 

So, for an E rank task, 200 words report in the Task thread?

200 minimum for ALL E-rank tasks you have taken. Write out a story of doing them.

 

Ok, and how does that than work with rolls?

 

You roll using the bot inside the freeform thread. Announce that you're rolling for a specific task (e.g. Omnia flies up high with a rock as big as she could lift and drops it on the ground, looking through the splinters for precious ore), and post a roll post afterwards. We'll use the NUF bot.
