As the title suggests, what do you all think when you see BL/GL novel posts? I mean, as a past non-BL/GL person (well, not now obviously), I remember listening to girls and guys talk about it and my reaction went something like this. Person1: OMG did you see them hug??? Person 2: YES I SQUEALEEDD [Ship name] ARE SO CUTE Me: .... Ok...not that exaggerated, but you get the point. This was a conversation related to actual ships in a non-romance novel (which even today I don't get but I will respect it though.) I heard way back in middle school, but it was a Boy x Boy pair and I remember forming a bit of a...I guess you can say put off type of feeling to that whole topic until I actually got into it myself (BL I mean). I was wondering if people feel the same or are perhaps just nonchalant about it as seeing grass. I guess this is also a personal question for me because if people ask me what type of novels I read, it's always awkward to say because I am never quite sure what other people will think (one day, I hope to reach past that stage and be confident in what I like). Anyways, any answers are appreciated. This is my second time making a thread so hopefully, I don't commit a violation.
I ignore it its not to my taste and thats it. As such I don't read it but it doesn't mean I'm against it either read what you want simple as that.
I think it's cute. Discussing a pairing and getting excited over it is no worse than any other conversation about a novel. Especially on the internet in an anonymous situation it would just be sad for people to feel like they can't discuss things they like. If they're not breaking any rules/laws, just watch over them warmly is what I say.
Ngl i was thinking about why are there so many posts on BL (haven't seen a post on GL yet) Its def not my taste. I prefer boy x girl relationship BUT i also understand that people have their tastes and preferences. Normally when i come across BL romance post I skip them. But there are times when people mention the plot and it catches my eye. I end up wanting to read it but since it's BL i resort to series with similar plot/story
