This reminds me of the old system of Runescape that existed to try punishing botters a bit. If you mined for too long, you ended up summoning a golem that was super tough (and level scaled) that did its best to kill you~

There was also an Evil chicken for killing chickens, and I think there was a 3rd one too... Either way, it was pretty funny, though it got removed eventually as they got better anti-bot systems in the game~

 

But that's unfair to the people who manually mined ore for a good few hours!

 

This girl have only started her first day and I already feel like she is a hopeless case.

 

Soo, anyway, any plans on introducing rewards for the quests or shall we forever do charity?

Nope. You are assumed to have received an award, and the system doesn't track these, because there wouldn't be anything to use the rewards on. Feel free to complain about how shitty the rewards are ingame, though. \o/

 

How about magic items as rewards, but like, limited use ones, and once you use up all the uses, the magic items break.

Such are planned for tasks not yet introduced. The current set is intended to work in synergy with a set of trade, research, and exploration tasks for D rank, which I'll be posting today once finalized. There will be a way to get to D rank faster if you do particular subsets.

Ah, yeah, there was that. Though the game warned you that the golem was about to spawn by making the resource vein start smoking, so you could just switch to a new location and continue mining just fine.

... Which well, was something a well-made bot could also detect, so it wasn't a very effective anti-bot system overall... Hence why it was removed once they got a better system in place~

I actually have faith in her! I ironed out some extra details about her as I wrote this first story, and I think she actually has good potential for a happy future! ^^)/

... Well, her concept isn't a very happy one by default though... >.>

 

What do you think about having NPC characters like the construction foreman, the stablemaster, or guild master? They don't really need to play an active part, but I thought it would be nice to have some names and faces attached to places.

 

Totally would but I'm working on making the system smooth during the first weeks before we can focus on world building. There are a lot of things to implement that make sure you have enough to do while not overwhelming slower players, which is what killed at least 3 or 4 of the previous AG iterations. I hope we'll eventually have features that satisfy everyone in sufficient capacity.

 

The lack of paragraph use should definitely be illegal. XD It's technically legal content-wise. The part with the missing lower half might need some clarification. Feel free to explain how it happened using an E-rank gun.

 

No, I think it was a monster or other foreign entity that caused the body separation.
