Hi, Mr Popo here XD I just played an 8minutes video and a 42min ad appeared, it isn't the first time, I believe the longest ad I've seen was over 4hours for some couple of minutes video, anyway, that made me wonder What is the longest ad that you've seen so far on youtube XD?
Don't feel alright using them, like, the people are putting effort into their videos and expect some money from it then here I come blocking their income, feels kind of bad XD
9 min, longer than that i skip it yeah me too, the least i can do is watch ads for them.. well for the one that i subscribe..
Does it actualy work? Lmao, I see bunch of adblockers's ad and I get curious about it everything I see it. Do you need to pay like monthly or something. Kinda wanna get it. Ads are killing me already haha. Ngl, I only watch ads that are interesting to watch. Eg. food ads, and ads that are like pretty funny. Can anyone else relate?
Majority of the Ads you are seeing are added by YouTube not done by the uploader. Why would YouTube do this? Because they can, and the ads added by YouTube will not make the uploader earn any greens if I recall correctly. I use uBlock Origin for years now, no ads and is completely free.
Longest ads I've seen is the length of "The LOGO Movie"... And I skip them, though I only get 5 second ads...
Yup, they did it to promote their Premium services. Premium service where you can still see ads sometimes the common reply would be it's due to a bug or something.
if you use android phone you can also download youtube vanced watch youtube on your phone with no ads. for phone browser use dns proxy ad.adguard.com it block most ads on your phone's browser, but it doesn't work on some scripts, but I haven't had any trouble with ad while reading on my phone.
why? just get it. it's an extension on chrome and firefox. you can google it. if you're on mobile get adguard. adguard is something you can get on android or you can use browsers with built-in adblocker like brave for example. if you have iphone, you're basic
Generally, yeah. You have to join their partner program to get a portion of the revenue, but you have to work extremely hard and they can kick you out at any time for any reason.
that and they can demonetize you but still put on ads so that youtube makes money on content the creators cannot
[/QUOTE] Yeh i did. yeah iphone is pretty basic. but guess what, many ppl find it useful. that's an thing that we can decide on another day
Anyone else remember when YouTube was simply a video sharing platform before Google bought it and turned it into a source of revenue?
I mean it being a source of revenue isn't bad, lots of people are technically "employed" being youtubers but the issue is their rules and the copyright stuff XD
