Discussion The Indian education system is kinda annoying not gonna lie.(rant)

I feel like the Indian education system as a whole is a joke. They honestly are just manufacturing future 9-5 workers in there. I also hate the fact that the indian "dream job" (atleast according to the parents) is a 9-5 job. There's so much about the education that pisses me off. Its either you select the science stream or you die! (Well maybe not but at least thats what I felt like after 10th) the pressure is more for girls because if you don't have a job, you're gonna get your ass arrange married -_-

What else do you think they are gonna do? You can't live on your own because you don't have a job, what's the next thing to do? Get her married, they might have good intentions but come on. Not saying that girls who do have jobs are safe from it but it gives you more freedom to say no as you have your own means of living.

Thats not all the problems in india right?

They still have a caste system working, so a lot of people are changing religion to islam (which becomes chastised by the upper class)

They drive however they want ... including the wrong way if necessary...

I still remember when Lee Kuan Yu was asked what would he do if he manages India.... he said its an impossible thing due to the culture (im guessing he was considering the caste system)

so, just gtfo, a lot of indians thrive in other countries.

 

Isn't it in China that you either be a doctor or die kind thing? And I have been to school at China and they make you memorize useless stuff (ie A LOT of poems). It doesn't even help you get a good job.

 

Could be worse. Here in America we are manufacturing Welfare nonworkers to be a part of the political machine. Pumping people into colleges to go into debt in a major with no job prospects.

 

nah Eastern Asia also are like this: science is awesome and arts is trash
if you dont want to be stuck doing science for your entire life, Asia in general is not a place for you

 

I thought it was divided into science and humanities(history, management, education, etc.). Art is trash anywhere unless you are freakin' rich
edit: if you are talking about bachelor of the arts then there are plenty of choices there like psychology.
bachelor of fine arts is the one that is trash, it's only for the rich and talented
